Videocon is an Indian conglomerate that manufactures refrigerators and other appliances. The document describes Videocon's refrigerator manufacturing process, which includes pressing and forming sheet metal, painting parts, pre-assembling components, and final assembly. It explains the main parts of a refrigerator like the compressor, condenser, freezer box, and how refrigeration works by compressing and condensing a refrigerant. The production flow takes raw materials through various shops like pressing, painting, vacuum forming before final assembly and testing of the refrigerators.
The Seven Basic Tools of Quality (also known as 7 QC Tools) originated in Japan when the country was undergoing major quality revolution and had become a mandatory topic as part of Japanese’s industrial training program. These tools which comprised of simple graphical and statistical techniques were helpful in solving critical quality related issues. These tools were often referred as Seven Basics Tools of Quality because these tools could be implemented by any person with very basic training in statistics and were simple to apply to solve quality-related complex issues.

Single and multi-effect evaporators are pivotal in industrial processes, concentrating solutions by utilizing multiple stages of vaporization. Single-effect systems offer simplicity and lower initial investment, while multi-effect systems maximize energy efficiency through cascading vapor streams. Both technologies play vital roles in diverse sectors, from food and pharmaceuticals to wastewater treatment, driving cost-effectiveness and sustainability in production processes.

"Impact of front-end architecture on development cost", Viktor TurskyiFwdays
I have heard many times that architecture is not important for the front-end. Also, many times I have seen how developers implement features on the front-end just following the standard rules for a framework and think that this is enough to successfully launch the project, and then the project fails. How to prevent this and what approach to choose? I have launched dozens of complex projects and during the talk we will analyze which approaches have worked for me and which have not.

Search and Society: Reimagining Information Access for Radical FuturesBhaskar Mitra
The field of Information retrieval (IR) is currently undergoing a transformative shift, at least partly due to the emerging applications of generative AI to information access. In this talk, we will deliberate on the sociotechnical implications of generative AI for information access. We will argue that there is both a critical necessity and an exciting opportunity for the IR community to re-center our research agendas on societal needs while dismantling the artificial separation between the work on fairness, accountability, transparency, and ethics in IR and the rest of IR research. Instead of adopting a reactionary strategy of trying to mitigate potential social harms from emerging technologies, the community should aim to proactively set the research agenda for the kinds of systems we should build inspired by diverse explicitly stated sociotechnical imaginaries. The sociotechnical imaginaries that underpin the design and development of information access technologies needs to be explicitly articulated, and we need to develop theories of change in context of these diverse perspectives. Our guiding future imaginaries must be informed by other academic fields, such as democratic theory and critical theory, and should be co-developed with social science scholars, legal scholars, civil rights and social justice activists, and artists, among others.

3. Introduction to Videocon
Videocon is an industrial conglomerate with interests
all over the world.
The company was incorporated as a public limited
company in August 1989 and was originally
promoted by Maharaja International Ltd. to produce
washing machine, refrigerator, and dishwasher.
4. In India the group sells consumer products like Colour
Televisions, Washing Machines, Air
Conditioners, Refrigerators, Microwave ovens and many other
home applications. Videocon Group brands include
Sansui,Toshiba,Electrolux ,Ken star Godreg
,Samsung,Whirlpool,LG etc.
Videocon is one of the largest CPT Glass manufacturers in the
world, operating in Mexico, Italy, Poland and China.
6. Press shop:forming press, commonly shortened to press, is
a machine tool that changes the shape of a work
piece by the application of pressure.
7. Paint shop:To paint the side, back and door panel.
Vacuum forming shop:In this section, the main cabinet and door
liners are formed.
8. Pre-Assembly shop:pre assembly means to mount components onto a
plate means they are ready to install on the machine.
Final Assembly:In this we assemble all parts of refrigerator after the
verification of each and every part.

INVERTER: Inverter is a frequency drive used to invert the A.C.
to D.C.
The drive converts the phase from single phase to
three phase if the power supplied is in single phase
11. Compressor
The compressor is the heart of the refrigeration system
compressor it is then compressed depending on what
type of compressor it is from a cold low presure
refrigerant into a high presure hot refrigerant.
The compressor not only keeps the refrigerant moving
throughout the hole system it also creates a pressure
change.
12. Condenser
It is a heat-exchange device in a refrigeration system
It is a Device for reducing a gas or vapour to a liquid
Heat Exchanger
A heat exchanger is a piece of equipment built for efficient heat
transfer from one medium to another.
They are widely used in space heating, refrigeration, air conditioning, power
plants, chemical plants, petrochemical plants, petroleum refineries, natural
gas processing, and sewage treatment
13. FREEZER BOX
These are made from Aluminium Roll bonded, which
undergoes the following operation: Notching & Punching
Hammering.
Butt-welding of inlet & outlet tubes to the
freezer box, further the hole Is cleared
by drilling
14. How Does a Refrigerator Work?
1.The compressor constricts the refrigerant vapor, raising its
pressure, and pushes it into the coils on the outside of the
refrigerator.
2. When the hot gas in the coils meets the cooler air temperature of
the kitchen, it becomes a liquid.
3. Now in liquid form at high pressure, the refrigerant cools down as
it flows into the coils inside the freezer and the fridge.
4. The refrigerant absorbs the heat inside the fridge, cooling down
the air.
5. Last, the refrigerant evaporates to a gas, then flows back to the
compressor, where the cycle starts all over.
