PEOPLE" WE MUST BEGIN OUR LESSONS WITH A CLEARLY
DEFINED OBJECTIVES
2. SHARE LESSON
OBJECTIVES WITH
STUDENTS
Make known to our students
our instructional objectives and
encourage them to make the
lesson their own.
3. Lesson objective
must be in the 2 or
3 domains -
knowledge
(Cognitive), skill
(psychomotor) and
values (affective)
Lesson objective must integrate
objectives in the cognitive,
psychomotor and affecttive
domainns for a holistic lesson
4. Work on the
significant and
relevant lesson
objective
Our lesson objective must be
connected to our students' life
experiences.
5. Lesson objective
must be aligned
with the aims of
education as
embodied in the
Philippine
Constitution and
other laws and on
the vision-mission
statements of the
educational
institution.
6. Aim at the
development of
critical and
creative thinking
Our teaching strategies and
techniques must be such that
they serve as catalyst in the
development of higher order
thinking skills (HOTS) and
creative thinking skills.

• Goals be generals, but not vague
• Goals should be transparent.
Don't use jargon .
• Objectives should be more
specific.
• A clear objectives provide the
basis for evaluation of the
course and assessment of
student learning.

  • 3. 1. Begin with the end in mind SAYS COVEY, THE AUHTOR OF "7 HABITS OF EFFECTIVE PEOPLE" WE MUST BEGIN OUR LESSONS WITH A CLEARLY DEFINED OBJECTIVES
  • 4. 2. SHARE LESSON OBJECTIVES WITH STUDENTS Make known to our students our instructional objectives and encourage them to make the lesson their own.
  • 5. 3. Lesson objective must be in the 2 or 3 domains - knowledge (Cognitive), skill (psychomotor) and values (affective) Lesson objective must integrate objectives in the cognitive, psychomotor and affecttive domainns for a holistic lesson
  • 6. 4. Work on the significant and relevant lesson objective Our lesson objective must be connected to our students' life experiences.
  • 7. 5. Lesson objective must be aligned with the aims of education as embodied in the Philippine Constitution and other laws and on the vision-mission statements of the educational institution.
  • 8. 6. Aim at the development of critical and creative thinking Our teaching strategies and techniques must be such that they serve as catalyst in the development of higher order thinking skills (HOTS) and creative thinking skills.
  • 9. 7. S - specific M - measurable A - attainable R - relevant T - time bound
  • 10. GUIDELINES TO FORMULATE GOALS IN OBJECTIVES • Goals be generals, but not vague • Goals should be transparent. Don't use jargon . • Objectives should be more specific. • A clear objectives provide the basis for evaluation of the course and assessment of student learning.
