The Unknown – This font is very bold and simple and matched well
with the type of fashion magazine that I would like to create. A bold
font is very common with many types of magazines, not just fashion
ones. This would be a very recognisable font and will look good
against the different colours and images also on the cover.
American Horror Story – this font is thin but it still seems to be
bold. It is very simple yet very affective. This font is recognisable
which suggests that buyers will see the magazine and
automatically remember what magazine it is. A downfall for this
magazine is that it is the font used for the TV Show American
Horror Story, so people will see the magazine and could assume
that it has something to do with it, so it could be confusing.
Dharma Punk – This font reminds me of a punk band from the
80’s because it is bold and used positive an negative space to be
able to read the text. This is a good font because its bold and easy
to read but I think it should be used for a music magazine rather
than a fashion one, which is what I am making.
Times_new_yorker – I think this font would be good to use on
the front of my magazine because its bold and simple. It does
look like the font for a horror movie poster but I think it would
work well for an alternative fashion magazine. I think this is one
of the best fonts for a magazine that I have found because its
not a typical fashion magazine font, its different and that’s hat
my magazine will be.
I AM SHERLOCKED – This font is very bold which means that
people will be able to see it clearly if they just walk past. Its
a simple font but very effective, this font would be great for
an alternative fashion magazine because it is not like any
other font used for an ordinary fashion magazine.
The Chemical Parade – this font is the one that is used for The
Black Parade album by My Chemical Romance which is a very
good thing. The target audience for my magazine would most
likely be fans of this band or have knowledge of who they are,
so could recognise the font instantly, this could mean that
more people walking past will stop and look.
