3. This piece draws the viewer to read it as it is an unusual font. With this I can edit the colour on photo shop which means it can be played around to create the perfect masthead However this piece in the style it is may be more suited to a grime magazine and not an R’n’B one Visually appealing however not very practical as it is quite difficult to read.
4. Bold clear and interesting something that a mast head MUST have I think it would also work very well with the genre of R’n’B. Colour of the blocked out bit can be changed in which to suit my magazine however it still looks very effective . The outline of the bold letters is extremely interesting it makes the words look more explosive on the page and also the out line has a slight shadow to it meaning it looks just as effective. Its readable but also has been played with in which to fade areas out which is also making the readers eye draw to it, this then means that they may read the rest of this.
5. This is a more branded sort of font makes it look designer and also the style to appeal to young adults rather than the elderly so you would see from the front of the magazine what age group in which it is aimed at. This font looks good in the black and so it wouldn’t need to be changed in any way in which to fit in with my magazine. The letters are rounded which is unusual because normally text is very sharp.
6. I like this text because with the use of the shadow it makes the text stand of the page. This is a good way to grab the readers eye. The use of colour is another unusual style as it separates the two words but as one word it could still be just as effective. This is very American style text which is has a bigger range of r’’n’b artists. And bringing this appeal into a UK music magazine could be just as effective.
