Oliver James Ingham proposes a podcast project titled "Podcast of Legends" focused on audio. He will use audio skills developed this year to create a high quality podcast product. The podcast will focus solely on audio to allow remote recording during the pandemic and emphasize audio over other elements. Ingham researched successful podcasts to inform his approach and will evaluate his work by comparing it to other podcasts to assess quality and room for improvement.

Levelwise PageRank with Loop-Based Dead End Handling Strategy : SHORT REPORT ...Subhajit Sahu
Abstract — Levelwise PageRank is an alternative method of PageRank computation which decomposes the input graph into a directed acyclic block-graph of strongly connected components, and processes them in topological order, one level at a time. This enables calculation for ranks in a distributed fashion without per-iteration communication, unlike the standard method where all vertices are processed in each iteration. It however comes with a precondition of the absence of dead ends in the input graph. Here, the native non-distributed performance of Levelwise PageRank was compared against Monolithic PageRank on a CPU as well as a GPU. To ensure a fair comparison, Monolithic PageRank was also performed on a graph where vertices were split by components. Results indicate that Levelwise PageRank is about as fast as Monolithic PageRank on the CPU, but quite a bit slower on the GPU. Slowdown on the GPU is likely caused by a large submission of small workloads, and expected to be non-issue when the computation is performed on massive graphs.

Project proposal title and date:
Podcast of Legends.
Main area of activity:
I am working with audio as the majority of my project due to me making a podcast, at the same
time, I will be using a bit of photoshop for my logos for my project, which is graphic design.
Rationale:
By doing the audio segment of the year, I have been able to enhance my skills in making a
podcast and working with just audio so I can focus on that more when compared to working with
film too. This will help me with the podcast as the product will be a lot better compared to
something, I did at the start of the year with no added knowledge of what to do and how to do
specific things.
Project Concept:
The concept of my product is going to be an audio only podcast as this makes it easier to make
and because of the current situation the world is in right now, we will not all be able to meet up and
record, it also is helpful as it means I can focus more on the audio section of the podcast which in
my opinion is the most important and means that the podcast will be more entertaining to the
audience. I have researched other successful podcasts online to see what they do and do not do
and how they compare so I can take things that all the podcasts do and use that method in my
own podcast to help make it better.
How will the project be evaluated and reviewed:
I plan to evaluate my work by comparing the final product to the other podcasts that I researched
to see how it matches up against them, if I believe that it is a competitor towards the other ones
then I know it is good but if not then I will have to re edit or even re- record the podcast. This will
help me in my future career as it will help me as it will assure that I can look back on mistakes and
missed opportunities, helping me get better with each project I do whether that’s in higher
education or career.
