According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC) every year about 735,000 Americans have a heart
attack. Of these, 525,000 are a first heart attack and 210,000 happen in people who have already had a
heart attack (CDC, 2015). Heart attacks or myocardial infarctions (MI) can be fatal if appropriate steps
and protocols are not followed soon after the onset. It requires critical thinking by nurses and the
health care team to reduce the damage to the heart and prevent death. Every year 425,000 people in
the United States die from a MI (Ignatavicius Workman, p. 831, 2013). Key nursing interventions, and

2 PURPOSE OF HAPPINESS
For Aristotle, happiness was related to a natural function. He argued that if we as human fulfilled our
natural function/purpose then we will be able to be happy and want for nothing at all (page 91).
Aristotle believed that human happiness refers to the function most proper to the human should and
essentially the function must be exclusive to human. He argues that this supposed function is a
practical aspect of life that comes from the rational part within humans. The use of the term practical
suggests that there is a predetermined conduct which comes as a result of having rational capabilities.
This ultimate good of an individual should stem from this and therefore naturally flow from
performing your function to a high standard. In order to attain true happiness, this must be repeated

300,000 years ago. It was speculated that a ritual burial site that was found from 300,000 years ago
was due to religion (Wise Geek, 2014). Two of the oldest religions are Shamanism, and Animism.
Some of the oldest religions are still practiced today.

The symbolism of the string snapping is even more clear at the end of Act IV, when old Firs is left
