& Gas sector was the top gainer among sectoral indices, up by 2.38% on the hopes of hike in Diesel prices.

Tata Group's chairman Mr. Ratan Tata retired today after giving his services for 21 years. Mr. Cyrus Mistry has been
appointed as the new chairman.
Bharti Airtel's subsidiary Bharti Infratel, failed miserably on it's market debut. The issue price was Rs 220 and the
shares listed at discount of Rs 20 at Rs 200. The stock closed down by 13.09% on BSE.
Suzlon Energy gained 7.52% on BSE before the meeting of its lenders today over Corporate Debt Restructing (CDR).
Maruti Suzuki closed up by 1.23% on BSE on the reports of opening its First overseas plant in Africa. (News)
The market breadth on the BSE closed in positive. Advancing and declining stocks were 1485 and 1378 respectively,
while 146 scrips remained unmoved.
The BSE Sensex ended at 19444.84, up 121.04 points or 0.63%. The 30 share index touched a high and a low of
19465.74 and 19346.07 respectively. 22 stocks advanced against 8 declining ones on the benchmark index.
The S&P CNX Nifty gained 38.25 points or 0.65% to settle at 5908.35. The index touched high and low of 5915.75
and 5879.50 respectively. 38 stocks advanced against 12 declining ones on the index.

The BSE Mid-cap index moved up to 7092.94 and gained 0.79% while Small-cap index jumped up by 0.28% to
7342.20.
The broader BSE 500 index increased to 7572.36 (up 0.58%) and S&P CNX 500 index rose to 4738.30 (up 0.68%).
The volatility as denoted by INDIA VIX lost 0.80% at 13.63 from its previous close of 13.74 on Thursday.

On the BSE Sectorial front, Oil & Gas (up 2.38%), Information Technology (up 1.21%) and Consumer Durables (up
0.75%) were the top gainers.
Healthcare (down 0.19%) and Banks (down 0.01%) were the top losers.

Reliance Industries Ltd (up 2.73%), Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (up 2.49%), Sterlite Industries (India) Ltd (up
2.28%), Infosys Ltd (up 1.38%) and Hero MotoCorp Ltd (up 1.35%) were the top gainers on the Sensex.
Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (down 1.05%), Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd (down 0.70%), Tata Steel Ltd (down
0.59%), State Bank of India (down 0.46%) and HDFC Bank (down 0.35%) were the top losers on the Sensex.

Reliance Industries Ltd (47.33 points), Infosys Ltd (18.33 points), Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (13.13 points),
Tata Consultancy Services Ltd (10.59 points) and ICICI Bank (6.59 points) were the major Sensex drivers today.
On the other end Reliance Industries Ltd (12.06 points), Infosys Ltd (5.19 points), Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd

Pivot, Supports and Resistance Levels
S&P CNX Nifty is now pivoted at 5901 for next session. The next support is at 5887 and on upside it has a resistance
at 5923 levels.
