T h e market breadth on the BSE closed in negative. Advancing and declining stocks were 1272 and 1597
respectively, while 149 scrips remained unmoved.
The BSE Sensex ended at 19453.92, down 22.08 points or 0.11%. The 30 share index touched a high and a low of
19520.51 and 19335.72 respectively. 15 stocks advanced against 15 declining ones on the benchmark index.
The S&P CNX Nifty lost 13.20 points or 0.22% to settle at 5916.40. The index touched high and low of 5937.60 and
5881.45 respectively. 21 stocks advanced against 29 declining ones on the index.

The BSE Mid-cap index moved down to 7101.79 and lost 0.21% while Small-cap index hammered down by 0.38% to
7434.86.
The broader BSE 500 index decreased to 7590.11 (down 0.19%) and S&P CNX 500 index declined to 4746.40 (down
0.19%).
The volatility as denoted by INDIA VIX lost 1.04% at 14.32 from its previous close of 14.47 on Wednesday.
Sectors in action
On the BSE Sectorial front, Metals (up 1.19%), Information Technology (up 0.26%) and FMCG (up 0.13%) were the
top gainers.
Consumer Durables (down 0.97%), Automobile (down 0.76%) and Capital Goods (down 0.72%) were the top losers.
The Angels and the Devils
Hindalco Industries Ltd (up 2.59%), Jindal Steel and Power Ltd (up 2.27%), Tata Steel Ltd (up 1.90%), Tata
Consultancy Services Ltd (up 1.27%) and Hindustan Unilever Ltd (up 1.25%) were the top gainers on the Sensex.
Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (down 1.99%), Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd (down 1.68%), Bajaj Auto Ltd (down
1.37%), Wipro Ltd (down 1.32%) and Larsen And Toubro Ltd (down 1.02%) were the top losers on the Sensex.

ITC Ltd (-15.71 points), Larsen And Toubro Ltd (-10.96 points), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd (10.90 points), HDFC
Bank (-9.89 points) and Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd (-8.90 points) were the major Sensex drivers today.
On the other end ITC Ltd (-4.95 points), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd (3.42 points), Hindustan Unilever Ltd (3.16

Pivot, Supports and Resistance Levels
