Following a slightly positive start, markets traded listless in a range. The bias turned to negative after pessimistic
European opening before recovering slightly in the end to close flat. Nifty ended above psychological 5900. Sensex
closed above 19400.
The BSE Sensex ended at 19409.69, down 14.41 points or 0.07%. The 30 share index touched a high and a low of
19478.01 and 19362.32 respectively. 13 stocks advanced against 17 declining ones on the benchmark index.
The S&P CNX Nifty gained 1.50 points or 0.03% to settle at 5908.90. The index touched high and low of 5919.95 and
5888.10 respectively. 25 stocks advanced against 25 declining ones on the index.

The BSE Mid-cap index moved up to 7116.60 and gained 0.65% while Small-cap index jumped up by 0.32% to
7470.08.
The broader BSE 500 index increased to 7558.58 (up 0.09%) and S&P CNX 500 index rose to 4731.90 (up 0.16%).
The volatility as denoted by INDIA VIX lost 3.01% at 14.51 from its previous close of 14.96 on Friday.
