1.0 Introduction
This Project aims to understand the integration of the light principles into the consideration of
designing a library which helps to achieve optimal visual comfort for the users. Students would
be able to design spaces incorporating artificial and day lighting thus producing a sustainable
design.
The picture above shows the site plan of Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman facing the east, in front of
the main road.

2.0 Lighting
Daylight Factor
It is commonly used to determine the ratio of internal light level compared to external light
level and is defined as following equations:

  • 3. 3 1.0 Introduction This Project aims to understand the integration of the light principles into the consideration of designing a library which helps to achieve optimal visual comfort for the users. Students would be able to design spaces incorporating artificial and day lighting thus producing a sustainable design.
