We filmed extra footage for our thriller introduction to meet the required 2 minute length and improve some transitions. We captured various camera angles and clips 10 seconds longer than needed for editing flexibility. We then edited the compiled clips in Sony Vegas Pro 11, cutting unwanted parts and testing different transitions. After rendering in Adobe After Effects, we color corrected for consistent toning and added effects to build tension. Finally, we included an opening title screen created in Cinema 4D and end credits with production details.

2. Reason for doing extra filming
Our thriller intro was not long enough, we needed to meet the required 2
minutes. We were also unhappy with a few of the transitions, and wanted to
make sure they were smart and smooth. We filmed extra things that we might
not have needed, we wanted to get all the camera angles we could, we tried
each of them in a transition until they worked well with the whole film. We also
filmed what we needed to finish the whole thing off, we had all the clips we
wanted, and we made sure we filmed 10 seconds either side of the actual clip to
allow for editing.

3. The final editing of the film
So we now had all of the clips that we wanted. We put them all in Sony Vegas
pro 11, and started to cut down all of the parts we didn’t want, and started to
try different things to see if they would transition well. When we were happy
with the timeline, we rendered the whole video and opened it up in Adobe After
effects. We colour corrected it to make sure that the toning was correct, and
then continued to add effects to each clip. We wanted to have a lot of tension
and suspense, so we made sure we included that factor. Once we had finished
the editing we just had to add the title screen which we had already created in
Cinema 4D, which allows for 3D text creation. We also included the fade in
Details of ourselves on the film, such as the actors etc.
