This world have numerous kinds and diversity .This kinds and diversity remain in whole world two two third is aquatic ,fresh water and marine water .This kinds and diversites knowledge and their total knowledge file management is very importance for fisheries science.
This freshwater and marine water has a huge number of vertebrate and invertebrate animals and plants. Thair identify and use is vary importance for fisheries and aquaculture .for that their proper file management is play a useful role in fisheries and aquaculture.
If we went to know the total plant and animals this is not possible to proper file management.
Culturable species and there predator knowledge and file management is vary importance for aquaculture .culturable species habitats and their food habit is very importance for successful aquaculture and also importance in breeding season and behavior and high growth rate fish data .There proper management and for fisheries student study documents is very important. So file management is very importance in fisheries science.

The fear of deleting files has waned over the years, based on the common assumption that easy-to-use tools are available to bring back almost any file. Many myths incorrectly make these “tools” seem more capable than they actually are.
You might be surprised! In this White Paper, many of the common and incorrect assumptions about file protection and recovery are detailed as well as a look Condusiv Technologies' Undelete 10, which fills many of the gaps left by other "recovery" methods.
In many ways, directories are treated like files. They can be created, deleted, moved and copied from Nautilus or from a shell prompt, using commands similar to those for files.
Creating Directories
You must have write permissions in a directory in order to create a new sub-directory. Most users have these permissions in their home directory (and its sub-directories) and the /tmp/ directory.
To create a new directory with Nautilus, navigate to the location of your new directory. Right-click in a blank portion of the window and select Create Folder. A new folder icon appears with the highlighted text untitled folder. Type a name for your folder and press [Enter].
To create a new directory using a shell prompt, use the command mkdir. Enter: mkdir <directory-name>, replacing <directory-name> with the intended title of the new directory.
Deleting Directories
To delete a directory from Nautilus, right click on it and choose Move to Trash, or click and drag the icon to the Trash on the Desktop.
To delete an empty directory from a shell prompt, enter the command rmdir. To delete a directory that may not be empty (and consequently everything inside that directory), enter the command rm -rf <directory>. Refer to Section 4.5.5 Delete files with rm for more information regarding the rm command.
Dot Directories
Applications create "dot" directories as well as dot files. Dot files are a single hidden configuration file — a dot directory is a hidden directory of configuration and other files required by the application. The non-configuration files in these directories are generally user-specific, and will be available only to the user who installed them.

2. The ability to locate your data when you
need it is an essential skill for anyone who
uses a computer. Unfortunately, many
people become very frustrated performing
this relatively simple task. This is due to
either a simple lack of understanding in how
to navigate Windows or just years of bad
file-management practices. Here are six tips
to get the essentials of managing files.
4. I.Using Windows Explorer
O Windows Explorer displays the
hierarchical structure of files, folders, and
drives on your computer. It also shows
any network drives that have been
mapped to drive letters on your computer.
Windows Explorer is your primary tool for
copying, moving, renaming and searching
for files and folders.
6. II. Store Data in a Single
Location
O Keeping your files and folders organized
on the computer is no more difficult than
keeping them organized in real life. For
most of us, our files reside in one location;
usually a file cabinet. Do the same on
your computer and appoint one primary
folder to store all of your data.
8. III. Using Shortcuts
O One of the simplest ways to be
productive, yet still keep your files
properly organized is to use shortcuts.
Instead of copying a word document to
your desktop for quick and easy access,
get in the habit of creating a shortcut to
the file. This avoids unnecessary file
duplication while at the same time keeping
your files where they belong.
10. IV. Keep File Names Short
O Although Windows is capable of using file
names as long as 255 characters, keep your
filenames as short as possible. While long
filenames are harder to read, those 255
characters also have to account for the entire
file path. For instance, if you had a file named
"2011 business Projections" on your desktop,
then the path for that file would be something
like:
C:windowsusersusernamedesktop2011
Business Projections, which more than
doubles the number of characters.
12. V. Use Descriptive Folders to
Identify Files
O Folders can help you break the files down into
smaller, more easily identifiable units. Let’s
use books as an example. Instead of a
filename like Harry_Potter _and
_The_Deathly_Hallows_by_JK_Rowling.epub,
you can shorten it considerably -- and better
organize it -- by using folders. For instance,
create a folder called JK_Rowling and then a
sub-folder called Harry Potter. Now store the
book in the Harry Potter folder with the name
The_Deadly_Hallows.epub.
14. VI. Group Projects
Components Together
O You can also benefit by storing all
components of a project under a single
folder. I once provided IT support for an
architecture company where this was a
standard practice. Anyone working on a
particular project, regardless of their role
on the project, knew that whatever
information they needed, whether it be
CAD drawings, photos, status reports,
invoices, presentations, etc., lived in that
folder.
