Field trips and excursions provide hands-on learning experiences outside the classroom that are planned to supplement lessons. They stimulate students' interest, help concepts come alive, and foster observation skills and personal development. Proper planning is needed - choosing relevant locations, obtaining permissions, arranging transportation and accommodations safely. Teachers must take precautions for student control and health. Follow-up after trips includes addressing student questions and having them write about what they learned to help solidify knowledge from the experiential learning.

health of all members of the excursion team.

everyone from the excursion team as well as what is being
carried or collected from the excursion remain safe and
intact.
