Branched Chain Amino Acid As A Supplement For Long...
Branched Chain Amino Acid as a Supplement for Long Duration Exercise
Introduction
Branched Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs) are composed of three essential amino acids including
leucine, isoleucine, and valine. They are unique in that they are predominantly metabolized outside of
the liver in the skeletal muscle. BCAAs make up 35 40% of the amino acid pool in the body and exist
in high concentrations in skeletal muscle tissue (Shimomura et al, 2006). While the supplemental
dosage is dependent upon on the type of exercise,, body composition, and dietary intake, a standard
dosage of the combination of BCAAs is 20g, of leucine, isoleucine, and valine. Other ratio
combinations are available as well as individual supplement products of leucine and isoleucine.
BCAA supplementation is often taken before, during, and after exercise. It has been observed that
BCAAs potentiate the effects of exercise by their anabolic processes on protein metabolism by
increasing the rate of muscle protein synthesis and decreasing the rate of muscle protein breakdown
(Karlsson et al., 2004). Moreover, it has been theorized that BCAAs may improve performance,
reduce muscle fatigue, and feelings of muscle soreness.
Review of Literature
Various studies have demonstrated that BCAAs promote activation of protein synthesis, reduced
muscle degradation, and reduce perceived feelings of muscle fatigue. All human studies reviewed used
randomized, double blind, within subjects cross over design conducted

The Hobbit Movie Essay
During the winter vacation, I watched a movie, which is quiet impressed me.
It is called The Hobbit. It tells an exciting story. It also teach me something when I watch it.The movie
really give me a shock.
In my opinion. The Hobbit is the best movie I have seen. Its world background is very palatial. It tells
a story that happen in a land , which is named Middle Earth. For example, there are different races in
this world, such as human, dwarf, eidolon , Orcs and dragon. Human is a normal character in many
movies, they are usually in weak position but they are goodness and hard working. Dwarf is a very
belligerent race, they govern the world and their king like golden in crazy. Eidolon is a race, which
like peace, they do not like war. So they ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Just like Bilbo, he is shorter and weaker ,maybe he is little timid, but when his companion in danger,
he always can throw himself into breach. This is brave. Timid do not present you don t have brave. On
the contrary, when your friends are in danger ,you help them without any delay, you are brave. When
we are facing dangerous, maybe one person power is small, but if we are united and together work out
the dangerous, the power is stronger. Any difficulty can not stop our forward steps. So, like dwarfs
,when one of them was fund by orcs, he was in weak position and then he was grasped. However,
while his companion came to save him, they unite together and beat the orcs. This movie also teach
me that we shouf not be consumed by desire. Thorin was consumed by desire,so he gradually become
different from before, he did not trust anyone anymore. At the end,he came to his sense. So when we
are facing the temptation of desire, we should firm our own will and resist the desire.
The Hobbit is the best movie I have seen, I am shocked by its palatial world background. With the
story begin, I see some excited plots, its ups and downs of plots make everyone feel surprised. Last
but not least ,we can learn something from the movie, such as ,brave, united and do not be consumed

Birth Of Tragedy Patriarchy
It is easy to break the world into binaries. As a culture, Western society has made a point to embrace
binaries and nowhere is this clearer than the binary that is observed with gender. In the most simplistic
way, Western society widely accepts that there are only two genders, male and female. This dichotomy
creates a system of imbalance, giving one gender, male, power over the other. This binary starts an
eternal struggle between the two, with the patriarchy defining what any person is allowed to be.
However, like all binaries, this is an over simplification of a society, and like any simplification, it
breeds room for interpretation. In A History of the World in 10 ½ Chapters, there are many examples
of the Noah narrative. This narrative is twisted by Barnes, with some chapters featuring a woman as
Noah, a role traditionally held by men. By changing the gender, the role is queered, allowing the
audience to examine the influence of the patriarchy on characters who don t inherently belong to the
privileged group. The two female Noahs, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In The Birth of Tragedy, Friedrich Nietzsche writes that in the world there exists a huge contrast. (1)
These contrasts create strict binaries, one of which is the Apollonian, the masculine, and the
Dionysian, the feminine. This dichotomy is in open conflict with each other and simultaneously
provoking each other. This constant provocation within the gender binary allows for hostility and the
evolution of a power dynamic, with one side, the masculine, taking power and forming a patriarchal
society. Within this world of contrasting binaries, Kath and Amanda are stuck within the dichotomy of
masculine and feminine. Though both characters are women, only one is defined by feminine
attributes while the other shows more masculine qualities. However, by them both being women, they
are both oppressed by the

Introduction
For centuries organizations in business, government and military treat human resources either as part
of a leadership team driving the business or mission while others are expendable in war as soldiers or
clerks requiring ongoing direction and scientific systems in place (Taylor 1911). Aristole around 384

is both beneficial and just (Aristotle in Kuhn 2009, pg. 10). Around nearly 2,500 later new companies

The Tell-Tale Heart Crazy
Tell me, would you kill a person because his eye happened to annoy you? In Edgar Allen Poe s story,
The Tell Tale Heart, that is precisely what the narrator does. He is insane, and he is not to be trusted
with the information he is presenting based on things he does or hears. I heard all things in the heaven
and in the earth. I heard many things in hell (1). This evidence proves my claim that the narrator is
mad, and because he is mad, the things he tells us, are just things that he is envisioning. In this quote
the narrator says he hears things from hell. Which is not possible. He thinks that he is hearing things
from hell, but in reality, all the sounds are in his head. He is imagining sounds from hell something
sane people do not do. Some more evidence is, My head ached, and I fancied a ... Show more content

He had the eye of a vulture a pale blue eye, with a film over it. Whenever it fell upon me, my blood
ran cold; and so by degrees very gradually I made up my mind to take the life of the old man (2). This
citation shows the narrator wanting to kill the old man. Killing a person does not convey that he is
insane and that his story is not to be believed. What does show that he is mad, is the reason for killing
the old man. His cause for committing murder is that the man s eye was bothering him. This is
definitely not what a sane person kills someone over. The last piece of evidence I will present is, I
foamed I raved I swore! I swung the chair upon which I had been sitting, and grated it upon the
boards, but the noise arose over all and continually increased. It grew louder louder louder! (17). He is
hearing it extremely loud in his ears now. This can only mean one thing he is mad. The narrator is
yelling and swearing when he can just ask the officers if they hear something. Either way, they would
say no, because he is visualizing the sound in his

Middle School Life Narrative
My personal life story from the day I left middle school My life experience in middle school was an
astonishing year. I went to a school called Step Charter in Houston Texas, which was full with
outstanding teachers and students. I was a very well behaved student, who had mostly A s and B s.
Most people can say time can go by so fast, well it did for me. It was the last day of school for us
eighth graders, who were moving on to high school. We had just finished our graduation ceremony
and I was saying goodbye to all of my marvelous friends, who I would miss forever.
Last summer break, I had so many plans like going to the movies or even going out with some of my

My mom and I had went to the school so we could see what it was like. When we entered the building,

During the orientation, I was able to sign up for some pleasant clubs that I would do when I started
school.
After the orientation was over I got ready for the school year. Then two weeks later, my first day of
high school had finally began. I was able to make plenty of new friends. I also had some nice classes

Abstract
This experiment was performed to determine the melting point ranges of standard substances, urea
cinnamic acid mixtures, and unknown substances. The melting point ranges were measured by
observing the temperatures in which the substances began and completed liquefying in the Stuart
SMP10 Melting Point Apparatus. The melting points ranges of pure naphthalene, urea, cinnamic acid,
sulfanilamide, 4 toluic acid, and anthracene were 82 82, 132 133, 134 135, 164 166,183 184, and 216
219°C. Melting points were obtained for urea cinnamic acid mixtures. The melting point ranges of
1:4. 1:1, and 4:1 mixtures of urea cinnamic acid by mass were 103 113, 103 104, and 107 127°C
respectively. Finally, the melting point ranges for unknown substance A were around 134 136°C and
the ranges for unknown substance B were around 135 139°C. Based on the melting points, the
unknown substances were identified as urea and cinnamic acid. Overall, the results of the experiments

The Importance Of Courage In King Arthur
Oftentimes courage is defined as the absence of fear, when in truth it is the acquired ability to move
beyond fear (Quizio). This is evident in Guy Ritchie s King Arthur: Legend of the Sword. The film
initially portrays the main character, Arthur, as an arrogant and egotistical conformist that, despite his
strength, is unable to face his fears of the past. As the story develops, Arthur s character develops
tremendously along with it. His development motivates others, and himself, to believe in his destiny.
Arthur s newly developed courage and confidence allows those around him to rely on his destined
role, while also encouraging others to either adopt the quality or forsake it. Despite the fact that
courage is required to accomplish all of the aforementioned actions, there are several traits that Arthur
acquires before achieving it. This awards Arthur with an abundant amount of honorable attributes
while also offering England a just and humble King. In Guy Ritchie s film King Arthur, courage
impacts Arthur s self and others, as it allows him to conquer fear, and to inspire bravery, while
developing the necessary qualities to do so. Guy Ritchie s film King Arthur, demonstrates the way that
Arthur and his community are impacted as he acquires courage to face his fears. When Arthur is
introduced to his destiny, his initial reaction is to deny it due to his fear of not only giving control to
the sword, but also because of the memories it brings forth. Arthur s lack of

The Psychodynamic Approach To Psychology
The psychodynamic approach is an approach to psychology that emphasizes systematic study of the
psychological forces that underlie human behavior, feelings, and emotions and how they might relate
to early experience. Sigmund Freud the founder of the psychodynamic approach to psychology or
psychoanalysis. While he led the process to look at subconscious thoughts and desires most of his
beliefs were wrong. Some beliefs are that our behavior and feelings as adults (including psychological
problems) are rooted in our childhood experiences, Personality is made up of three parts: the id, ego
and superego. Parts of the unconscious mind (the id and superego) are in constant conflict with the
conscious part of the mind (the ego).
Using this approach focuses on the analysis of the subconscious. When treating Obsessive
Compulsive Disorder a psychologist will propose therapy. The first thing a therapist might recommed
it to try as hard as possible to not commit the action they want to commit. Paired with medication this
can be a very effective tool. Analyze the compulsion to the environmental events and to other factor
that increase compulsion. Then to document what the patient avoids doing or exposing themselves to
in order to avoid the compulsion. After doing all of these steps they decide how long they have to ...

Customary Law and the Status of Indigenous Australian s Essay
It is important to always show respect towards the indigenous, acknowledge their laws, their practices
and their customs further paying respects to the original custodians of the land. This however does not
mean that recognition of aboriginal customary law is essential to improving the status (social position)
of indigenous Australians; on the contrary it poses more problems than solutions. Although law is seen
as the fabric of existence and intrinsic to living, it is impossible to judge one legal system in terms of
another. As such, while there are many positive aspects of aboriginal customary law, which is merely
just different and in no means (worse) or (better) than English common law, its enforcement is not
essential to improving the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Moreover, the ability to determine which laws are in affect with which Indigenous and non indigenous
Australian s becomes limited and the issue falls to public disapproval. Due to the unwritten nature of
aboriginal customary law confusion would arise as to who must/can abide by certain customary laws
and punishments for those who disobey. An injustice would then occur when distinguishing which
indigenous Australian s receive the blanket of customary law and whether or not it extends to half
casts and if so, to whom does it extend. This general confusion would create not only laws that are un
easy to follow but would also create many general misinterpretations of the law and could lead to
further racism attitudes. Said racism attitudes would ignite when scrutiny over punishments and who
receives them arises while people strive for equality and argue over the degree of fairness received.
This scrutiny not only hinders the status of indigenous Australian s rather than improving it, but can
also lead to future hostilities and class/status debates again creating the possibility of a negative
impact.
There are various other remedies that could be implemented in order to improve the status of
Indigenous Australia s especially with the flexible common law structure, some of which have already

Effect Of Climate Change On Marine Mammals
Effect of Climate Change on Marine Mammals
The earth is protected from the sun rays by a thick layer known as the ozone layer.
The ozone layer act as a semi permeable membrane, by allowing some gasses to pass through while
preventing others thereby keeping the earth s temperature in a stable state. Global warming is the
increase in earth s temperature due to the depletion of the ozone layer. This depletion is having an
adverse effect on the earth as a whole. The earth s temperature is constantly rising. This rising
temperature has disrupted the ecosystem in marine lives by altering the food chain, breeding cycles
and migration of marine mammals. According to the intergovernmental panel on climate change, ...

The arctic top predator, the polar bear is being greatly affected by global warming. The polar bear uses
ice as its resting place and also as its hunting ground, by capturing sea lions when they come up
through holes in the ice. As a result of the melting of the arctic because of global warming, these
predators have being forced to search for areas with more stable ice that can support their lifestyle.
Others have being forced to swim for long distances and even drown in the ocean in search of a new
habitat. A 2007 report from the U.S. Geological Service estimated that as a result of sea ice decline,
today s population of about 22,000 polar bears would decrease by two thirds by the year 2050 . The
rapid decrease in the number of polar bears will force these animals into extinction. Climate change
doesn t only have an adverse effect on polar bears but also on sea turtles. Part of the life cycle of these
marine creatures take place on land as well as in the ocean. Female turtles come on land to nest and
lay their eggs, and later return back to the ocean. The increase in water levels as a result of melting
icebergs has forced these marine mammals to swim long distances to go on shore and lay their eggs.
Increase in marine temperatures may have an adverse effect on the incubation period of these marine
mammals. It may lead to most eggs are not being fertilized, or a bias in the

John D. Rockefeller Vs. Thomas Edison
John D. Rockefeller Versus Thomas Edison In 1863, John D. Rockefeller (1839 1937) entered the oil
business in Cleveland, Ohio and became one of the world s wealthiest men by being the founder of the
Standard Oil Company. Standard Oil was a major source of income in the late 1800 s, taking up a
large percentage of the United States refineries. It eventually became the largest oil refinery in the
world. But in 1911, U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the company was not legal due to violations of
laws. The Standard Oil Company was classified as a monopoly because it was the only supplier of oil,
and there were not any substitutes for this good. Just as Rockefeller created and founded the Standard
Oil Co., Thomas Edison created thousands inventions that have greatly helped the United States and
other countries all around the world. Edison (1847 1931) was a well known inventor and businessman.
One of the most well known inventions by Edison was the incandescent light bulb, which produces
light by heating a wire with electricity. He also created the movie camera, phonograph and vote
recorder which are just to name a few of the thousands of patents Edison had on his inventions.
Rockefeller was born in Richford, New York and went to high school at Cleveland Central High
School, where he studied bookkeeping. He went on to working as an office clerk at the age of 16.
Likewise, Edison began working at the young age of 12 where he sold newspapers. He eventually

Zombieism in Santa Clarita Diet is represented in a way that represents being undead as a path to
freedom, emancipating people to be who they want to be almost as an awakening. Its life changing

The Importance Of Music In The High School Band Room
Albert Schweitzer once said, There are two means of refuge from the miseries of life: music and cats.
While cats are really great, music can be a safe haven for many people; I myself feel most at home
when surrounded by music. The best place for me to have this safety, security and acceptance is in the
high school band room. For most, it is just a room filled with instruments and kids who don t want to
go to gym; but the memories and friends made there are what make that room so special. The band
room during class or a performance day is almost always full of noise and activity. People are playing
instruments, whether they are practicing difficult sixteenth note runs or just making noise to warm up.
The drum line is usually practicing their parts as loud as possible, and the volume of the room just
continues to rise. Those who aren t playing are usually having conversations, and sometimes have to
yell so their friend can hear their words. Every bit of sound is amplified by the slanted ceiling, it s
main function to propel sound forwards. The walls are covered in motivational posters, most of them
handmade by former band kids; the instrument lockers and all of the shelves are crowded with every
trophy earned by the band over the years like a massive showcase. There is a thrum of energy in it all,
and it is electrifying, sending a jolt of excitement before a game, or helping to motivate us for the long
practice ahead. Whenever I have a bad day, walking into the band room

Robert Frost´s The Tuft of Flowers and Harvest Song by...
In the fields filled with fertile soil and abundant plant life, laborers are often found immersed in their
duties. Whether they show efforts to increase their personal profits or in fear of retributions from their
employers, the laborers work silently for countless hours of the day. The only interaction available for
many of these laborers is the interaction between themselves and the field itself. Due to this
interaction, Robert Frost and Jean Toomer write about how workers seek to communicate with others
in similar situations as themselves in order to gain comfort. They argue that workers in any kind of
labor in the fields feel the loneliness that can only be relieved not verbally, but through fictional
interactions between the worker and another worker. In Robert Frost s The Tuft of Flowers, the
unnamed speaker finds his fictional interaction by accident. At first, he suggests that all workers must
be lonely, even if they work with each other. However, after following a butterfly with his eyes, he
falls upon a tuft of flowers that was left behind by the worker before him. Although he realizes that the
tuft was left for the previous worker s own delight, the speaker claims, Nevertheless, a message from
the dawn, / That made me hear the wakening birds around, / And hear his long scythe whispering to
the ground, / And feel a spirit kindred to my own; / So that henceforth I worker no more alone. The
speaker, after seeing the tuft of flowers, feels that he is no longer

The National Hockey League Of Sun Belt Cities
Introduction
On August 8th, 1988 Wayne Gretzky gave a tearful farewell to Edmonton after being traded to the Los
Angeles Kings. The Gretzky trade had effects beyond the two teams. The landscape of the National
Hockey League changed in the years following the Gretzky trade. Ten years after the trade Anaheim,
Dallas, Phoenix, Miami, San Jose, and Tampa were awarded NHL franchises. The National Hockey
League s southern expansion was partially driven by the attendance increase the Los Angeles Kings
experienced after the Gretzky trade. The goal of this essay is to determine what drives attendance in
Sun Belt cities. Our study should interest sports economists in academia and National Hockey league
executives who make decisions on the league s product placement. Team attendance is the dependent
variable in the model and eleven independent variables were run in two different regressions. The first
regression run was a Least Squares regression and the second was a time series regression. The time
series regression was necessary to run since the results of the Least Squares regression may have been
biased. The time series regression reveled two important conclusions. First, winning a championship
had a positive and statistically significant impact on attendance in southern cities. Second, the time
series regression illustrated that each city has special characteristics driving attendance that we cannot
measure. This essay I will review other research papers on attendance at sporting

mechanisms. It is observed that the MPLS data plane handles simpler functions of pushing, popping
off and swapping labels and are mostly un affected by any changes to the control plane functionalities.
This paper discusses the possibility of using the standard MPLS data plane in combination with a
simple extensible control plane using OpenFlow, SDN and its applications. A Protocol implementation
is discussed to show the simplicity of the approach over existing MPLS control plane and how more
services can be supported with the new control plane.
Finally, The paper discusses how the introduction of a new map abstraction fits well with the unified
control architecture for packet and circuit networks, making the new control plane ideal for multi layer
networks.

Constitutional Democracy In The United States
The United States of America utilizes constitutional democracy as its form of government. This type
of government allows to people of its country to directly or indirectly make decisions and is based on
the principle of equality and freedom and majority rule (Difference Between Monarchy and
Democracy, 2011). In the Unites States, democracy is shaped by a constitution, which allows a clearly
defined respect for an individuals and minorities basic individual rights and liberties, including
freedom of speech, the press, and religion, to be protected (ushistory.org, 2017). Although this form of
government does not allow absolute freedom, it leaves room for different types of citizens to compete
for leadership positions, express personal opinions, and to be governed by laws that apply equally to
leaders and citizens (Quigley, n.d.). Constitutional democracy is the antitheses of the arbitrary rule and
is character sized by popular sovereignty, majority rule and minority rights, limited governmental
powers including punishment and social control, and institutional and procedural limitations of powers
(Quigley, n.d.).

As for Gibbons and Vanderbilt, the two lowered their rates, applied services, and also tried out new
technologies which all help lead them to become hugely profitable. And in 1829, Vanderbilt left
Gibbons to increase his own business.
Vanderbilt created his own steamship company. With a fleet of boats and a budget of $30,000 or
roughly $775,000 today, Vanderbilt successfully established a company along the Hudson River. He
used his usual tactic, reduced fare prices, to stir away any competitors. He then expanded between
New York and New England and Long Island. What helped his business to flourish was through
customer s loyalty. Because Vanderbilt was known to have reliable, safe and cheap steamboats,
Cornelius Vanderbilt s company skyrocketed. In 1830, Vanderbilt entered the Hudson River market
and competed against Steamboat Association. Due to Vanderbilt s success, Steamboat Association
purchased his Hudson River company for $150,000 in total. Because of the success he had, Vanderbilt
went to Long Island for another round. His business tactic and customer loyalty served him in the
right way.
The Gold Rush, where many go to California in hopes for gold, allowed Vanderbilt to begin an ocean

Descriptive Essay About Sea Animals
It was dark outside. Clouds loomed over the skies as I walked into the enormous colorful building.
Blazing rays of LED lights shone through the entrance s translucent windows. Brightness and gleams
engulfed my vision like a wildfire. My eyes blink, trying to focus where I was walking. As I paced
myself through the crowded corridors of the large hallway trying to find my group of friends, I could
see murals of sea animals everywhere and signs directing where each exhibit was. Animated and
overjoyed, I pranced to the first exhibit where the baby sand sharks were. They were extraordinary,
swimming around their tank but sadly not able to leave their confined space. Their tank only allowed
them to swim continuously in circles. Although animals in captivity tend to live longer than animals in
the wild, it is depressing to mull over how they were stripped of their freedom. There was nowhere to
escape when housed in such small enclosures.
While exploring the intriguing domain, I stared wide eyed in the dim rooms, my face was illuminated
by the glowing tanks while fish and other marine life gawked at me. It was as if they wanted me to
join them or aid them to escape their aquatic prison. It was depressing to be so close to them, to be
only separated by glass, but unable to save them. Many animals could have been violently captured
from their homes with no hope of ever being reunited with their true families. The stress of hearing to
kids crying, people clapping, loud music,

Timeline of American Beauty Essay
Not long ago, a woman s success was measured by the success of her husband and her domestic
prowess. Today, a woman is presumed successful if she can emulate the standards of beauty portrayed
in the media. Unfortunately, this subliminally enforced standard is unattainable to some women,
regardless of the quality of their character. Let s examine how western women went from being
pioneering superheroes, to people who measure their worth against airbrushed photographs of
impossibly beautiful women.
Timeline of American Beauty
People have used women in print media to sell their products since the mid 19th century. The women
in the ads were portrayed with thin waists, large breasts and stylish clothing. As the roaring 1920 s

Some pin ups were printed to advertise a product, while others were printed as calendars or
centerfolds for the soldiers serving in World War II. Pin up icons, such as Marilyn Monroe, began their
careers this way. As of 2010, these women still set the par for American beauty standards.
The 1950 s introduced the American housewife. Women in print ads were portrayed in a wholesome,
Donna Reid, manner. They had the figures of a pin up, but these figures were covered with dainty
house dresses.
Health and Beauty
During the 19760 s and 1970 s, models, such as Twiggy, appeared everywhere. Women in print looked
thin to the point of being sick. The hippie movement, and the fashions that came with it, did nothing to
stop this standard. Hippies ate when they could, and were almost always thin. In the early 1980 s,
AIDS reared its ugly head. The general population believed that if a person was thin, he or she may
have the virus. The media began looking for healthier women to use to sell products. In the 1980 s, the
Wilhelmina Modeling Agency found Gia Carangi, the first supermodel. Gia sported a healthy, yet sexy
appearance. Sadly, Gia needed to use drugs to deal with the pressures of maintaining perfection. Sadly,
IV drug use led to her tragic death. On November 18, 1986, 26 year old Gia died of AIDS related
pneumonia.

Essay about It Is A Bad Idea To Legalize Marijuana
The Legalization of Marijuana
Yes, I believe it is a great idea to legalize marijuana. What a great idea! Think of all the good benefits
that could come about. The government could tax marijuana like they do tobacco, and it could help
our economy out. Think of all the money that could be gathered with this taxing. The prison and jail
populations would decline simply because a number of people in prison are there solely because of a
marijuana conviction.
This would cost tax payers a lot less money, simply because it costs about twenty seven thousand

marijuana, because everyone is doing it anyway. If it was legal, you wouldn t have to hide it, or worry
about smoking it. People would probably still look down on you for smoking marijuana, but you could
look at them and say quot;hey at least it s legal. quot;
No, what an absurd idea it is to even think about legalizing this horrendous drug marijuana.
Everyone knows that marijuana is a gateway drug and can lead to other drugs, such as cocaine, LSD,
heroin, the list goes on and on. Do you really want your kids smoking marijuana and trying other
drugs? I don t think so. People would become so addicted to drugs that they would spend all of their
money on it and eventually have to start stealing and pawning things just to help their ridiculous
addiction. The crime rate would increase. The murder rate would double because of fiends losing their
minds and going on a killing spree.
If marijuana was legalized, everyone would be stupid, because you know as well as I do that potheads
are the dumbest people, next to crack heads of course. Marijuana smokers have a short term memory.

their store is user friendly. During the shopping process always allow your customer to review the
steps they have taking as well as the product at anytime (Tuttle, B., Sep 27, 2012). Using an online
comparison tool is always a great thing. Ensure that your online shopping process is clear and easy to
follow. You must keep a clear count of what you have in stock. This will allow the customer to
purchase more than one item. Using icons of the product in the shopping cart is also a great way to let
the customer see what they are purchasing when they are viewing their carts. Be clear on your return
policy. You can also send reminders to your customer to let them know that they have items in their
shopping cart. It is also a good idea not to empty the carts too soon. You want to try and keep them
active for at least 60 days (Tuttle, B., Sep 27, 2012).

The Importance Of Columbus Day On America
In 1492, Columbus sailed the ocean blue. This mnemonic is known by most American adults and
taught to children in some schools. However, this rhyme holds a belief in it that is not true. When
children are taught that Columbus set sail in 1492, they are also taught that when he did so he
discovered America. This is truly and utterly false. If Columbus Day is no longer named as such, the
Native Americans will be celebrated and a minority group will be represented rather than a murder. By
seeing that Columbus did not discover America, Columbus was a murder, and the holiday Celebrated
based on a common misconception, Columbus Day can become a more enjoyable holiday for
everyone. Many children and adults believe still believe that Columbus discovered America. Contrary
to common belief, Columbus did not discover America and he never set out to prove the world was

Columbus believed that the diameter of the earth was extremely small even though scientist had
already proven otherwise (Blakemore). In 1942, Columbus sailed the ocean blue to prove that he
could cross the Atlantic by boat in only four days (Blakemore). Of course, the King and Queen
repeatedly rejected Columbus s requests for resources to sail until they were desperate enough and
needed more resources. Ultimately, Columbus s famous discovery only happened because the Queen
was desperate. Nevertheless, the Queen and King s

Homeschooling Is More Beneficial For A Student
Times have drastically changed in the twenty first century, one of them being education. Many aspects
are considered when parents choose how they would like to educate their child. Aspects such as
academics, sports, learning accommodations, finances, student performance, and social life may all be
factors in the final decision. Over the past ten years, homeschooling has become increasingly popular
among Americans. According to Brian D. Ray from National Home Education Research Institute,
there are over 2.2 million homeschooled students in the United States. Although public schooling can
have its benefits, homeschooling is more beneficial for a student in today s society. Homeschooling,
also known as home education, is self explanatory. Home education is the educating of children or
students inside one s home, usually instructed by a parent or tutor. One of the most prominent reasons
for this is because of religious reasons. Other reasons may include, learning differences, family
reasons, or even educational/academic reasons. The most popular homeschooling styles include,
school at home, unschooling, Charlotte Mason, Montessori, relaxed/eclectic, classical, Waldorf, or
multiple intelligence. School at home is the most expensive method of schooling. It includes buying a

People do not believe that the student observing would faced tribulation. However this belief is false.
Bystanders face repercussions much like victims do. They face anxiety about getting bullied because
they were at the same place as the student getting picked on. This anxiety can become so severe that
the student will think that the place and/or school is unsafe, and they will avoid these places (Gordon).
If these students have anxiety about coming to school, then they will not get an education. Then the
student will have trouble on tests and finals which determine whether they graduate high school. This
anxiety starts a downward spiral in the course of life. The observer will also have guilt about not

The Characteristics Of Intrinsic And Extrinsic Motivation
1.1 Background of the study
Motivation is a theoretically construct that used to explain our behaviour. It represents the reasons for
people s desire or actions. Motivation can also be defined as what causes a person want to repeat
behaviour or one s direction to behaviour. Behaviour is the way in which one acts or conducts oneself,
especially toward others.
Motivation can be describe as a starting point for any activity, job, intensity and persistence of
behaviour associate with particular task (Buckworth, Lee, Regan, Schneider, Diclemente, 2007). They
also state that motivation can influence behaviour and they emphasize that basically motivation
consists of two types which is intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. Based on Buckworth et al. (2007)
intrinsic motivation reflect as the purpose for an individual performing a behaviour, for example for
the pleasure and satisfaction but in extrinsic motivation it is difference because an individual

The Questioning of God and the Loss of Faith in Religion...
Searching for the meaning of life, people constantly question religion. What is our purpose? Why are
we here? What is the meaning of our lives? In the third century BC people saw their lives falling
apart; they wanted a new meaning of religion. During this time the Temple was destroyed, which will
be explained further on. The destruction of a significant religious figure such as the Temple causes
people to question the purpose of religion, especially if it is going to fail them. Ecclesiastes suggests
the extent to which theological systems are not just abstract ways of viewing the world; they answer
the questions of life, responding to the issues real people face in real life situations. Thus, to

People began to realize that Ecclesiastes ideology truly was a logical explanation for the reason why
they were placed in their current situation. The people also took Ecclesiastes definition of religion and
applied it to their every day lives.
The meaning of life is difficult to explain considering the time period. Ecclesiastes argues that wisdom
cannot achieve its goal; that a remote God rules over a crooked world; and death did not take virtue or
vice into consideration (Anchor Bible Dictionary p.275). Hence, Ecclesiastes advocated enjoyment as
the wisest course of action during youth before the cares of advancing years made that response
impossible (Anchor Bible Dictionary p.275). Ecclesiastes discovers that people s purpose in life as
unknown. In life there is no final ultimate pronouncement, nothing is achieved and similarly human
desires are left unsatisfied (Oxford Annotated Bible p.842). Ecclesiastes sees life as not changing and
not being remembered. To achieve any sort of meaning of life, one must be wise: for in much wisdom
is much vexation (Eccl. 1:18), being wise will create confusion to those who are not wise, leading
towards understanding God s plan. People who are knowledgeable will be able to comprehend God s
divine meaning; that meaning being to large to grasp by humans. However wisdom will not change
one s fate in life. The inevitable fate for all is the same. What happens to the fool will

The Effects of Gender Bias on Elementary School Children...
The Effects of Gender Bias on Elementary School Children
It s a girl! or It s a boy! is typically the first thing parents hear after the birth of a child. This simple
statement of fact sets the groundwork for every interaction they will have with their daughter or son,
and for every experience that child will have throughout her or his life. Gender identity the private
experience of being female or male forms a core part of one s sense of self (Welker). The nature of this
private experience is enormously influenced by what we are taught it means to be a girl or a boy, and
these lessons are typically fraught with instances of gender bias what Beverly Stitt, author of Building
Gender Fairness in Schools, defines as a set of beliefs ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In our society, males are the preferred sex. Mothers show a 2:1 preference for male children, and
fathers even more so (The Pinks and the Blues). Parents stereotype their child from birth: they think
that boys are more alert, more coordinated, stronger, bigger, and less attentive, while girls are softer,
weaker, and more attentive (Stockman). Research by Bloch at U. C. Berkeley revealed that parents
encourage differences in their children; with sons, parents emphasize achievement and value
independence and self reliance, while with daughters, parents emphasize proprieties and supervise
their daughters activities more than their sons (The Pinks and the Blues). I observed a videotape, titled
The Pinks and the Blues, of a family interview in which first the son and then the daughter were asked
to solve a puzzle with their parents present. With the son, Dad emphasized the cognitive aspects of the
task and checked for understanding, while Mom looked on. With the daughter, Dad emphasized the
affective relationship (the father daughter interaction) and stressed that the important thing was to
have fun, while Mom provided help to the point of interfering with the daughter s performance.
In addition to parents, the other primary agent influencing children at this age is the media, via
television. Little girls can watch Spiderman swing high

Banning Concealed Carry
There were 372 mass shootings in the US in 2015, killing 475 people and wounding 1,870 (MST).
Guns are not a bad thing, it s the people carrying them. That is why I think there should be Gun
control that does not abuse the power of the rightfully armed. Stronger regulations are okay, but they
should not violate the Second Amendment. All states should have carry laws allowing concealed carry
in all states, while banning open carry of guns. Why should open carry should be banned? Because it
could be considered flourishing a gun. For example, Texas is now allowing open carry. Patrik Jonsson,
a staff writer at Student Issue Research (SIR), reports that Police are discouraged from even asking
about someone s holstered gun. If they do, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Open carry should be banned in all states because you re practically flourishing your gun for
everyone, including criminals, to see all the time. With concealed carry, you re required to provide a
permit showing you are legally carrying, However, with open carry an officer can walk up and ask for
your gun permit, but can do little if they refuse. Open carry could allow a mass murderer or a terrorist
to walk in public with a weapon and gather little suspicion from nearby people. Concealed carry is not
visible to others. In a state with open carry, your gun could be snatched out of a open holster. In a state
that allows concealed carry, who s going to know you have a gun? Guns are weapons of self defense,
not toys to flourish to the public eye. Guns don t kill people, people kill people. This is why we should
have tighter regulations on guns. Again, my opinion is that concealed carry should be allowed in all
states. In addition, all states should have carry rules and open carry should be banned. We can try stop
mass shootings, but not by restricting the average person s gun rights. We can stop some of the killing,
but let s not make the righteous

  • 2. Branched Chain Amino Acid As A Supplement For Long... Branched Chain Amino Acid as a Supplement for Long Duration Exercise Introduction Branched Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs) are composed of three essential amino acids including leucine, isoleucine, and valine. They are unique in that they are predominantly metabolized outside of the liver in the skeletal muscle. BCAAs make up 35 40% of the amino acid pool in the body and exist in high concentrations in skeletal muscle tissue (Shimomura et al, 2006). While the supplemental dosage is dependent upon on the type of exercise,, body composition, and dietary intake, a standard dosage of the combination of BCAAs is 20g, of leucine, isoleucine, and valine. Other ratio combinations are available as well as individual supplement products of leucine and isoleucine. BCAA supplementation is often taken before, during, and after exercise. It has been observed that BCAAs potentiate the effects of exercise by their anabolic processes on protein metabolism by increasing the rate of muscle protein synthesis and decreasing the rate of muscle protein breakdown (Karlsson et al., 2004). Moreover, it has been theorized that BCAAs may improve performance, reduce muscle fatigue, and feelings of muscle soreness. Review of Literature Various studies have demonstrated that BCAAs promote activation of protein synthesis, reduced muscle degradation, and reduce perceived feelings of muscle fatigue. All human studies reviewed used randomized, double blind, within subjects cross over design conducted ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It tells an exciting story. It also teach me something when I watch it.The movie really give me a shock. In my opinion. The Hobbit is the best movie I have seen. Its world background is very palatial. It tells a story that happen in a land , which is named Middle Earth. For example, there are different races in this world, such as human, dwarf, eidolon , Orcs and dragon. Human is a normal character in many movies, they are usually in weak position but they are goodness and hard working. Dwarf is a very belligerent race, they govern the world and their king like golden in crazy. Eidolon is a race, which like peace, they do not like war. So they ... Timid do not present you don t have brave. On the contrary, when your friends are in danger ,you help them without any delay, you are brave. When we are facing dangerous, maybe one person power is small, but if we are united and together work out the dangerous, the power is stronger. Any difficulty can not stop our forward steps. So, like dwarfs ,when one of them was fund by orcs, he was in weak position and then he was grasped. However, while his companion came to save him, they unite together and beat the orcs. This movie also teach me that we shouf not be consumed by desire. Thorin was consumed by desire,so he gradually become different from before, he did not trust anyone anymore. At the end,he came to his sense. So when we are facing the temptation of desire, we should firm our own will and resist the desire. The Hobbit is the best movie I have seen, I am shocked by its palatial world background. With the story begin, I see some excited plots, its ups and downs of plots make everyone feel surprised. • 4. Birth Of Tragedy Patriarchy It is easy to break the world into binaries. As a culture, Western society has made a point to embrace binaries and nowhere is this clearer than the binary that is observed with gender. In the most simplistic way, Western society widely accepts that there are only two genders, male and female. This dichotomy creates a system of imbalance, giving one gender, male, power over the other. This binary starts an eternal struggle between the two, with the patriarchy defining what any person is allowed to be. However, like all binaries, this is an over simplification of a society, and like any simplification, it breeds room for interpretation. In A History of the World in 10 ½ Chapters, there are many examples of the Noah narrative. This narrative is twisted by Barnes, with some chapters featuring a woman as Noah, a role traditionally held by men. By changing the gender, the role is queered, allowing the audience to examine the influence of the patriarchy on characters who don t inherently belong to the privileged group. The two female Noahs, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In The Birth of Tragedy, Friedrich Nietzsche writes that in the world there exists a huge contrast. (1) These contrasts create strict binaries, one of which is the Apollonian, the masculine, and the Dionysian, the feminine. This dichotomy is in open conflict with each other and simultaneously provoking each other. This constant provocation within the gender binary allows for hostility and the evolution of a power dynamic, with one side, the masculine, taking power and forming a patriarchal society. Within this world of contrasting binaries, Kath and Amanda are stuck within the dichotomy of masculine and feminine. Though both characters are women, only one is defined by feminine attributes while the other shows more masculine qualities. However, by them both being women, they are both oppressed by the ... He is insane, and he is not to be trusted with the information he is presenting based on things he does or hears. I heard all things in the heaven and in the earth. I heard many things in hell (1). This evidence proves my claim that the narrator is mad, and because he is mad, the things he tells us, are just things that he is envisioning. In this quote the narrator says he hears things from hell. Which is not possible. He thinks that he is hearing things from hell, but in reality, all the sounds are in his head. • 10. The Importance Of Courage In King Arthur Oftentimes courage is defined as the absence of fear, when in truth it is the acquired ability to move beyond fear (Quizio). This is evident in Guy Ritchie s King Arthur: Legend of the Sword. The film initially portrays the main character, Arthur, as an arrogant and egotistical conformist that, despite his strength, is unable to face his fears of the past. As the story develops, Arthur s character develops tremendously along with it. His development motivates others, and himself, to believe in his destiny. Arthur s newly developed courage and confidence allows those around him to rely on his destined role, while also encouraging others to either adopt the quality or forsake it. Despite the fact that courage is required to accomplish all of the aforementioned actions, there are several traits that Arthur acquires before achieving it. This awards Arthur with an abundant amount of honorable attributes while also offering England a just and humble King. In Guy Ritchie s film King Arthur, courage impacts Arthur s self and others, as it allows him to conquer fear, and to inspire bravery, while developing the necessary qualities to do so. Guy Ritchie s film King Arthur, demonstrates the way that Arthur and his community are impacted as he acquires courage to face his fears. Customary Law and the Status of Indigenous Australian s Essay It is important to always show respect towards the indigenous, acknowledge their laws, their practices and their customs further paying respects to the original custodians of the land. This however does not mean that recognition of aboriginal customary law is essential to improving the status (social position) of indigenous Australians; on the contrary it poses more problems than solutions. Although law is seen as the fabric of existence and intrinsic to living, it is impossible to judge one legal system in terms of another. An injustice would then occur when distinguishing which indigenous Australian s receive the blanket of customary law and whether or not it extends to half casts and if so, to whom does it extend. This general confusion would create not only laws that are un easy to follow but would also create many general misinterpretations of the law and could lead to further racism attitudes. Said racism attitudes would ignite when scrutiny over punishments and who receives them arises while people strive for equality and argue over the degree of fairness received. Others have being forced to swim for long distances and even drown in the ocean in search of a new habitat. A 2007 report from the U.S. Geological Service estimated that as a result of sea ice decline, today s population of about 22,000 polar bears would decrease by two thirds by the year 2050 . Standard Oil was a major source of income in the late 1800 s, taking up a large percentage of the United States refineries. It eventually became the largest oil refinery in the world. Whether they show efforts to increase their personal profits or in fear of retributions from their employers, the laborers work silently for countless hours of the day. The only interaction available for many of these laborers is the interaction between themselves and the field itself. Due to this interaction, Robert Frost and Jean Toomer write about how workers seek to communicate with others in similar situations as themselves in order to gain comfort. They argue that workers in any kind of labor in the fields feel the loneliness that can only be relieved not verbally, but through fictional interactions between the worker and another worker. In Robert Frost s The Tuft of Flowers, the unnamed speaker finds his fictional interaction by accident. At first, he suggests that all workers must be lonely, even if they work with each other. However, after following a butterfly with his eyes, he falls upon a tuft of flowers that was left behind by the worker before him. Although he realizes that the tuft was left for the previous worker s own delight, the speaker claims, Nevertheless, a message from the dawn, / That made me hear the wakening birds around, / And hear his long scythe whispering to the ground, / And feel a spirit kindred to my own; / So that henceforth I worker no more alone. The Gretzky trade had effects beyond the two teams. The landscape of the National Hockey League changed in the years following the Gretzky trade. Ten years after the trade Anaheim, Dallas, Phoenix, Miami, San Jose, and Tampa were awarded NHL franchises. The National Hockey League s southern expansion was partially driven by the attendance increase the Los Angeles Kings experienced after the Gretzky trade. The goal of this essay is to determine what drives attendance in Sun Belt cities. The time series regression was necessary to run since the results of the Least Squares regression may have been biased. The time series regression reveled two important conclusions. Using The Standard Mpls Data Plane Abstract The evolution of MPLS networks have made them critically important for ISPs for the various functions of traffic engineering, efficient network utilization and for providing L2 and L3 enterprise VPN services. All these functions are supported by complex, energy hungry and expensive core routers with support for a wide variety of control protocols carefully combined with data plane mechanisms. It is observed that the MPLS data plane handles simpler functions of pushing, popping off and swapping labels and are mostly un affected by any changes to the control plane functionalities. This paper discusses the possibility of using the standard MPLS data plane in combination with a simple extensible control plane using OpenFlow, SDN and its applications. A Protocol implementation is discussed to show the simplicity of the approach over existing MPLS control plane and how more services can be supported with the new control plane. • 27. Descriptive Essay About Sea Animals It was dark outside. Clouds loomed over the skies as I walked into the enormous colorful building. Blazing rays of LED lights shone through the entrance s translucent windows. Brightness and gleams engulfed my vision like a wildfire. My eyes blink, trying to focus where I was walking. As I paced myself through the crowded corridors of the large hallway trying to find my group of friends, I could see murals of sea animals everywhere and signs directing where each exhibit was. Animated and overjoyed, I pranced to the first exhibit where the baby sand sharks were. They were extraordinary, swimming around their tank but sadly not able to leave their confined space. Their tank only allowed them to swim continuously in circles. Although animals in captivity tend to live longer than animals in the wild, it is depressing to mull over how they were stripped of their freedom. There was nowhere to escape when housed in such small enclosures. While exploring the intriguing domain, I stared wide eyed in the dim rooms, my face was illuminated by the glowing tanks while fish and other marine life gawked at me. It was as if they wanted me to join them or aid them to escape their aquatic prison. It was depressing to be so close to them, to be only separated by glass, but unable to save them. Many animals could have been violently captured from their homes with no hope of ever being reunited with their true families. The stress of hearing to kids crying, people clapping, loud music, ... • 28. Timeline of American Beauty Essay Not long ago, a woman s success was measured by the success of her husband and her domestic prowess. Today, a woman is presumed successful if she can emulate the standards of beauty portrayed in the media. Unfortunately, this subliminally enforced standard is unattainable to some women, regardless of the quality of their character. Let s examine how western women went from being pioneering superheroes, to people who measure their worth against airbrushed photographs of impossibly beautiful women. Women in print ads were portrayed in a wholesome, Donna Reid, manner. They had the figures of a pin up, but these figures were covered with dainty house dresses. Health and Beauty During the 19760 s and 1970 s, models, such as Twiggy, appeared everywhere. Women in print looked thin to the point of being sick. The hippie movement, and the fashions that came with it, did nothing to stop this standard. Hippies ate when they could, and were almost always thin. In the early 1980 s, AIDS reared its ugly head. The general population believed that if a person was thin, he or she may have the virus. The media began looking for healthier women to use to sell products. In the 1980 s, the Wilhelmina Modeling Agency found Gia Carangi, the first supermodel. Gia sported a healthy, yet sexy appearance.
