Lesson Plan for Erasmus + Project Be the Change
OBJECTIVES
1. Raise awareness about the human cost of what we wear.
2. Research about what is green in the fashion industry.
3. Share and expand our knowledge: Campaign against unfair trade.
MATERIALS NEEDED
1. Internet
2. Devices such as a proyector, a computer in order to make a presentation.
3. Apps to present the content and share it.
ACTIVITY
1 Watch this documentary actively, making notes about the key points.
Take your time: The True Cost The true cost
2 After watching we establish a philosophical dialogue:
● What have we felt watching it?
● What have we learnt fromit?
● Who / what is responsible forthis?
● Happiness is based on stuff.

3 You are working in teams of 4 and do some research on these areas about fashion and clothing industry:
● How ethical is ethical? What does ethical fashion mean?
● Sustainable clothing. How is the fashion industry affecting local people health and their
surroundings?
● Slow fashion vs Fast fashion. Fast fashion: What is behind it?
● What’s behind the cottonyou are wearing? More info: in this link
● Child Labour, low wages. Child Cotton Workers in India
● Greenwashing. What are we talking about?
