This document describes the design and development of a solar-powered spray pump for farmers. The pump was designed to be low-cost and user-friendly. It uses a solar panel to charge a 12V battery, which then powers a DC motor to pump pesticides from a tank through a hose and nozzle. It also includes ports to charge mobile phones and power an LED light. The pump was tested to operate continuously for 7-8 hours on a full charge. It provides a pollution-free alternative to fuel-powered pumps, with lower operating costs and maintenance requirements. The total cost was estimated to be Rs. 3130, making it affordable for farmers.
