Male Dominance Quotes
The novel mainly deals with the struggle, both in Africa and America , of women to gain
recognition as separate individuals who deserve equal and fair treatment. Male dominance is
the major folkway which operates in both the countries. It takes different forms, not least of
which is sexual aggression. In the very first letter, Celie talks about the abuse she suffers at the
hands of the man she believes for a long time as her father. Mary Agnes is raped by the white
uncle whom she approaches for help to get Sofia out of the prison and Mr Albert also. Physical
violence also seems to be a very common occurrence, even in relationships which seemed loving,
like that between Harpo and his wife Sofia. He beats her because it is a respectable thing... Show

She is also forced to accept Albert s affair with Shug Avery, which goes to an extent of him
sleeping with her under the same roof. In fact fidelity is not viewed as an important quality by
most of the men, although the same behaviour if exhibited by females is cause for comment. I
personally feel that the character of Shug is certainly a symbol of feminism. The woman who
manages to challenge the male dominance the most is no other than Shug, who depicts her
independence by living according to her own principles. It is unsurprising, given the
circumstances that Shug and Celie get involved emotionally . Shug is a powerful and determined
woman who refuses to be stepped on by men. Celie is a victim of male abuse who has closed
herself off from the possibility of trusting men. Another important instance can be of how the
preacher attacks Shug by implication because of her loose lifestyle, but on the other hand men are
allowed to behave as they wish. The main message of the novel is that women must stand up and
fight against the unfair treatment they receive at the hands of

What Is A Marching Band Essay
What is marching band? A marching band show is arranged musical show that utilizes both bodies
and a variety of instruments. While spectators see this unique show they don t often realize how
much work actually goes into a halftime performance. Band members must analyze every moment
and focus on hitting their notes while getting to their designated spot on the field.
A marching band show is a moving picture; something completely different. It s a little bit of math
and theatre and obviously music.
Learning to get to the right mark on the field while hitting the right note on a musical instrument
takes a lot of sacrifice, hard work, preparation and teamwork. It takes a gifted and dedicated
student to play high quality and performance ready music. In a marching band, that same student
accomplishes physically rigorous and complex drills, keeps the music coming and balances
between multiple hours of practice each week along with academics and other responsibilities such
as work, family and other things of the sort. A marching band is complemented by color guard, that
practices equally rigorous hours to go along with the show, using colorful flags, rifles, props, and ...

A marching band show is amazingly captivating. Marching band was first mainly seen in the
military by giving music and used as a sort of correspondence between driving troops. This kind
of marching band was restricted to simply percussion and brass, for example, the snare and the
trumpet. The military would oftentimes use the trumpet as a sort of alert to wake up or to
announce that the enemy was approaching the base. This was especially vital in the Civil War, yet
then started losing its essentialness after the war got done with, obliging John Philip Sousa to take
his band on tour. His marching style is thought to be significantly American and his most
mainstream piece is Stars And Stripes

The natural history of transition of polyp to cancer pathway is well known. Colorectal cancer can be
prevented to a large extent by removing polyps. Additionally, detection of colorectal cancer in
early stage by screening also results in lower mortality rate. Hence colorectal cancer screening is
recommended for asymptomatic average risk individuals. In the study by M. Aronsson, one time
colonoscopy yielded 49 more quality adjusted life years (QALYs) as compared to screening twice
with FIT gave 26 more QALYs. All screening strategies showed cost effectiveness as compared to

Beowulf s Heroic Code
Beowulf remains one of the most important works of English literature though it was written
centuries ago. One reason for this fact is that many of the themes that it touches on are still
pertinent in today s extremely different society. One of the most prevalent themes found in
Beowulf is the importance of the heroic code. Much of this epic poem is dedicated to conveying
and exemplifying the heroic code which values such attributes as strength, courage and honor.
Conflicting with this ideology are other factors such as Christianity, and these tensions affect the
lives and decisions of the narrative s characters. Over the course of the poem, Beowulfmatures from
a gallant warrior into a wise leader. This transition illustrates that a sometimes conflicting code of
values goes along with each of his roles.
In Germanic societies, such as the one in which Beowulf takes place, there were heroic codes
which defined how a noble person should act. In ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the beginning he is a brave fighter, but by the end, he has become a wise and noble king. This
transition shows that perhaps a different code is necessary to fulfill these different roles. These
sets of values illustrate early on in the poem the contrary outlooks of Beowulf and Hrothgar.
Early in the poem, Beowulf is young, brave and has no one to worry about but himself. Because
of this he can risk everything in his quest for personal glory. Hrothgar, on the other hand, is
responsible for the lives of many people, and therefore seeks their safety rather than his own
honor. Hrothgar s example becomes invaluable to Beowulf in preparation for the time when he
will take the throne. He learns that as a king, it is his duty to praise his warriors as well as protect
his people. Hrothgar emphasizes the importance of creating a stable environment. He also says that
having good relationships with one s own men, as well as with other groups, is

Mr. Mead And The Police Car In The Pedestrian By Ray Bradbury
The characterizations of Mr. Mead and the Police Car in the story The Pedestrian draws a clear
distinction between our society and the futuristic society that the author, Ray Bradbury, intended
to create in his story. This allows the readers to better understand what the author s perspective
of a world where humans rely too much on technology is like. An example would be the
characterization of Mr. Mead as a weird person in the futuristic society because he enjoys
walking. This could be seen in Mr. Mead s conversation with the police, Walking, just walking,

Mr. Mead can clearly be described as an odd ball in this society because he walks for the fresh air
despite the usage of Air conditioners and viewing screen, but his actions are normal in our
society and he would be described by the readers as normal. This makes readers better
understand the author s perspective on how people relied on technology such as Air
conditioners and viewing screen to the extent where they will not come out for a walk at all,
and that those like Mr Mead are weird in that society. Another example is the characterization of
the police car as a machine, programed to arrest humans with regressive behaviors. The
characterization is clear when the Police car ask Mr. Mead for his name, Your name? said the
police car in a metallic whisper (page 2) and when he told Mr. Mead that he is taking him To the
Psychiatric Center for Research on Regressive Tendencies (page 2). This makes readers picture a
world that relied on advance technologies, as robotic police cars are used to arrest people with
regressive behavior. Also explains that Mr Mead is considered to be regressive, and that machines
are starting to take over people s lives as everything seems to be controlled by

My European Vacation
European Vacation My childhood was filled with weekend road trips with my family traveling
to surrounding states. Sitting in the back of our mini van with my brother watching Scooby
Doo is one of the best memories I have. As my brother and I got older, we started taking bigger
trips. The first big trip my family took was to Disney World, I can still remember the feeling of
feeling the plane s wheels take off the ground. Since then, I have always craved that feeling.
Traveling became something that my family did every year, and every year I looked forward to
the week spent just with my family. My parents have always dreamt about taking my brother and I
to Europe. After searching for the perfect vacation, my mom decided on a 20 day toured trip to
Italy, France, Switzerland, and The United Kingdom. I was ecstatic, since I had been young I had
always wanted to go to Paris, and now I got to experience all of these other countries as well. The
day finally came for us to leave on this European adventure. We were all packed up and heading
for our first flight to O Hare International Airport. We boarded our international plane ready to take
on the thirteen hour flight that was ahead of us. The next morning we arrived at our first
destination thousands of miles from home, we were finally in Rome. I had been familiar with the
song, On the Road Again , by Willie Nelson before our European Vacation, but it was only a song

School Shootings
Guns in the Classroom
131 people have died in mass school shootings since 1999 to 2015 (Le Miere). This excludes any
shootings that have resulted with 4 or less fatalities because they are not considered mass
shootings. However, these tragic events can be prevented or stopped faster if a trained adult had
presented a firearm. I believe that if a teacher would like to have a firearm in their classroom to
help prevent any fatalities from possible school shootings they should be allowed. Many people
oppose the concept of guns in the classroom, but a compromise can be found between the two sides
of the continuum. These compromisation can be applied to the classroom to help stop school
shootings and make sure school shootings don t occur.
Many people oppose the concept of their being a gun in the classroom. These people who oppose
it are a genuine part of the application process for this policy to be applied and their opinions
and worries need to be heard. However not every need can be met most can and both sides can
come to a compromise. The teacher not being able to handle the firearm or react in a dangerous
situation is a big worry for many people. Most people would not have the nerve, rational thought,
or skill to do it on the spot. Providing stop gap training would not address the whole picture. You
would be taking people who were trained to educate many of whom had most likely never owned
or even fired a gun and transforming them into the appointed defenders of

Obstructive sleep apnea in school aged children presented with nocturnal enuresis
INTRODUCTION Obstructive sleep disordered breathing (SDB) is an abnormal breathing pattern
during sleep characterized by snoring and increased respiratory effort and with variable severity
where obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) constitutes the most severe form of it. Childhood OSA has
been accepted recently to be associated with numerous adverse health outcomes, including both
cognitive and behavioural deficits. (1) In a small study, childhood OSA was also related to potential
neuronal injury in the hippocampus and frontal cortex. (2) Multiple risk factors have been
identified as a risk factor but still the most widely accepted risk factor is adenotonsillar hypertrophy.
Childhood OSA has different clinical manifestations as snoring, witnessed apnoeas, labored
breathing, restless sleep and others. (3) Nocturnal enuresis (NE) i.e. intermittent nocturnal
bedwetting in children ≥5 years old is a complex problem that associated with increased
prevalence in males, low socioeconomic status and educational level of parents, attention deficit

He created a series of floral and baroque tableaux that were woven into the collection. The motifs

I visited the J Paul Getty Museum in Malibu, California in April of 2011. I was on a school trip

Effects Of Volunteering On My Life
Volunteering and its effect on my life
Volunteering has deeply embedded life changing experiences in my life. During my experience
as a volunteer, I volunteered for Habitat for Humanity. Habitat for Humanity is a volunteer based
organization that constructs, and renovates homes for people who were recently in a natural
disaster, deeply in need, and for people who are in need of a stable place to live without being
scared of being evicted. Not only have I learned how I affect other people, but I have also noticed
that volunteering has had an effect on me. In my work as a volunteer, I never knew that what I do
for people in need could have such an effect on me personally, and give me an inside view into less
fortunate peoples lives.
Volunteering for Habitat for Humanity has given me a chance to see into others lives and has
developed my sense of purpose in my community. Habitat for Humanity says, I cherish the
friendship that develops among people who labor toward common goals in challenging
circumstances. Each time my car pulls up to the build site, I am filled with joy at the prospect of
being able to make a difference, to matter to someone who matters to me (Habitat for Humanity).
What the author is saying is he or she loves to volunteer, and loves to feel as if it he or she makes
a difference. That is how I felt while I was volunteering. I felt as if I was important throughout my
whole experience, or you could say I felt like I gained a sense of purpose through volunteering. Dr.
Martin Luther King Jr. said, Faith is taking the first step even when you don t see the whole
staircase. In my mind that is why I volunteered to build houses to change people s lives. In doing so
I met several people and they told me their stories, and how they ended up in the situation they
are in. Meeting these people in need has given me a inside view into their life, which is much
different than mine. Knowing what these people in need have done to stay alive, feed their
children, and stay off the streets is what motivates me to volunteer. That is what my sense of
purpose derives from and my sense of purpose will grow exponentially when I know what I am
doing makes a difference in someone s life. Volunteering gives me a

Winter Symbolism In Literature Essay
When you think of winter what do you usually think about? I think about the freezing temperatures,
the ice, and the snow. However, in literature winter can be symbolic of many things. The dark,
sadness, old age, and death are just some of the things winter can symbolize in literature. The
songs California dreamin by the Mamas and Papas and A hazy shade of winterby Simon and
Garfunkel are both about winter but mean very different things. Foster s How to Read
Literature Like a Professor will also be referenced in order to help show the meanings of these
pieces. California dreaming is a very simple and straightforward song;. It has three short verses
and a chorus that repeats a couple of times. California dreamin on such a winter s day is repeated
throughout the song. This is the main essence of the song. The narrator is telling us that he likes
the warm and sunny days of California more than the cold harsh winter. Throughout this song
we learn of other things that the narrator dislikes which are gray skies and brown leaves. These
signify the arrival of winter which saddens the narrator. There s also a deeper meaning that can
be figured out with the help of Foster s work. In his book he tells us that the cold often can
symbolize sadness and that warm often symbolizes happiness. One of the many possible
meanings that the mamas and papas could be trying to convey is that it isn t easy to be happy.
In the song the narrator arrives at a church and is going to stay. Even though he isn t very happy
he would rather be in the church than in the cold as shown in the next verse where he starts to
complain about the cold again. We can learn from this message to be thankful for what we have
even though it isn t what we want because it could always be worse. In A Hazy Shade of Winter
by Simon and Garfunkel the narrator sends a clear message that he does not like the arrival of
winter. When you hear the song you can tellhow much he doesn t like the winter anytime anything
related to it is said. His voice becomes low, dull and lifeless. The way he sings tries to makes you
associate sadness with the winter. To the narrator the winter may be sad because it is cold but if
we look deeper into the song we

Patient Centered Care Has A Triple Aim
In a day and age where everything is becoming mobile and consumer driven, healthcare is no
exception. Patients are now able to drive healthcare industry spending and have access to more
health services. A growing body of evidence suggests that the patient centered medical home is an
effective model to transform primary care and serve as a foundation for accountable care
organizations, working together in integrated communities of care (Harbrechet Latts, 2015). Patient
centered care could change the outdated medical models by focusing on patient doctor
relationships and what the patient deems important in their healthcare (Kahn, 2014). Patient
centered care has a triple aim: to improve individuals health; achieve improved population health;
and reduce cost trends. A complementary goal was to improve satisfaction for patients and health
care teams (Harbrechet Latts, 2015). Early studies suggest that this type of care will also improve
efficiency and lend us closer to the frontier of health production. The Patient Centered Health
model is the fastest growing healthcare delivery system innovation (O Kane, Barr, Scholle, 2014).
This is largely due to the Affordable Care Act and its impact on health coverage (Fifield, Forrest,
Burleson, Martin Peele, Gillespie, 2013; Harbrechet Latts, 2015). This paper will focus on how
patient centered medicineimpacts efficiency in healthcare.
The Affordable Care Act gives patients more choices in their health coverage options in

Reasons For Britain To Leave The EU

The UK have been a part of the EU since 1973. Since the accession of the country in 1973, Europe
has completely changed its nature. For years, Euro sceptics have been campaigning for a

The British has officially voted to move away from the EU. The market is in crisis after the

On June 23, 2016, in a referendum organized by former Prime Minister David Cameron, 51.9% of

Thus, for at least 2 years, the United Kingdom will continue to be a member of the EU (and

British Kingdom will have to be negotiated between European leaders. Then the trade agreements
will be renegotiated, which could take up to 10 years warned the British government. Thus, the
economic consequences of a Brexit on the British economy will depend on the outcome of these

Even though Latino/a actors and actresses have had increased participation in films over the
decades, majority of the films they were in devalued their culture. Italian actor Rudolph Valentino
was one of the first known Latin Lovers, which was a stereotype that all Latinos were incredibly
passionate and great in bed. Another film stereotype were Latino/a s portraying bad guys/thugs,
which was to insinuate that Latinos were cholos (a lower class Latin American who is in a gang)
and could not be civilized. Such films that portrayed Latinos as such were the 1979 film
Boulevard Nights, which is about a neighborhood gang war, and the 1988 film Stand and Deliver,
which is about a high school calculus teacher who tries to get the Latino students who are prone to
dropout to do their homework. Stereotypes involving Latina women were that they were either very

O Jays Classic Song For The Love Of Money
Bang for Your Buck One word to describe the 2016 NBA offseason? As the O Jays classic song
For the Love of Money goes, Money, Money, Money. Millions of dollars were being handed out
like fliers. On July 1st when the clock struck 12, the Los Angeles Lakers rushed to offer Timofey
Mozgov a four year $64 million deal, which he immediately accepted. The Lakers must have
been impressed with his 2016 playoff performance! He averaged 1.2 points and 1.6 rebounds per
game. They must know something other NBA scouts don t. In terms of the best offseason move
the obvious answer is the Golden State Warriors signing of Kevin Durant; however, some moves
have gone under the radar. There were a few moves that are low risk and could possess extremely
high rewards. New York Knicks sign Brandon Jennings, 1 year $5 million... Show more content on

now be two years removed since his injury and if he could return to his early days on the
Milwaukee Bucks, the Knicks will have a point guard who could help their second unit. He
dropped 55 points in his rookie season on the Golden State Warriors! Yes, that was the 2009

Hamlet As A Tragic Tragedy
In spite of the fact that tragedies had been written in the English language before William
Shakespeare s time, it was England s national poet who gave tragedies their distinguishing
qualities and elevated tragedies to its peak of excellence. It is within Shakespeare s tragedies
where the operation of a tragic flaw in a hero s character is depicted. The word tragic flaw is
derived from the Greek concept of Hamartia, used by Greek philosopher Aristotle. A tragic flaw
is defined as a personality trait of a story s protagonist that leads to his or her demise due to the
personal defect of their character; although, chance, fate, and sometimes supernatural play in the
role of the fall of the tragedys hero, Shakespeare s tragedies essentially are the tragedy of the
character (Devi, p. 1 par. 1). Hamletwas many things: a speaker, a scholar, an actor, and a prince.
His greatness would exude in all of his accomplishments, except one: his inability to act. Hamlet
could not find himself to be able to avenge his father s death without adjournment. The tragic flaw
in Hamlet s character is what caused him to postpone his revenge on Claudius, the brother and
murderer of the late king Hamlet. The error or frailty in Shakespeare s character is Hamlet s
idealistic beliefs. While Hamlet s idealism is certainly a good characteristic to have, in this case,
because of Hamlet s atmosphere and circumstances which befall on him, his beliefs causes great
conflicts within himself. Hamlet was

Chinese Culture Of Hong Kong
From the historical aspect, the society of Hong Kong inherited characteristic from the British
colonial era but still the influence of China is heavy. Hong Kong has a closely connection with
mainland China due to geographical proximity and 95% Chinese immigrants with of its population
help to maintain the identity among Chinese in Hong Kong, despite they tend to blend of both
oriental and Western elements(Tsu, 2014).
Although the British colonial government in Hong Kong did not have any intention to fade
Chinese identity, the colonial education system did not cover much about contemporary China(Luk,
1991) .
Due to the gap in ideological and material conditions between Hong Kong and mainland China, the
perception on identity and issues of nationalism/patriotism between many Hong Kong s Chinese
people and the Chinese government are different (Tsu, 2014).
Conflict in Social system
Apart from that, a far more mature and sophisticated social system create Hong Kong s civil
society, therefore when related to ideological conflict with real damage, Hong Kong performance

the social unrest after Hong Kong 1967 Left wing riots (Ye, 2015).

The World Of The Desert
Dubai has built some of the world s prettiest buildings and other amazing feats that can t be
accomplished in the desert, but they somehow did it. For example, they built the tallest building
in the world in the middle of the desert, and the world s first 7 star hotel on an island in the
Persian Gulf. They have also built the two biggest malls in the world and one of them has a ski
slope in it, yet it stands in the middle of the desert. They also built a 5 star golf course in the
desert and it is one of the prettiest golf courses in the world. They also just passed London s
Heathrow airport for being the most traveled through airport, because when in Dubaitwo flights can
land people anywhere in the world. As a result, they just announced they are building a new
airport that will make the old one look like child s play. When they ran out of shoreline, for
beachfront properties for the rich and wealthy, they built new islands, all in shapes appealing to
tourists, like palm trees or the globe. Ironically, Dubai doesn t get most of their money from oil,
they get it from tourism. This strategy is bold, since if they fail to build things that will bring in
tourists, one of the greatest cities on earth will not be so great anymore. Dubai has to go big or go

Compare And Differences Of The Hebrew Bible
The Hebrew Bible (Tanak), the Protestant Christian, and Catholic Orthodox Old Testaments share
many similarities, as well as significant differences. The similarities are simple: they each start
with the same five books, and contain largely the same writings of wisdom, history and prophecy.
In the following paragraphs, I ll focus on the ways that the three groups sacred texts are different in
structure and purpose.
The Tanak is named for the first letters of its three its three main sections: Torah, Nevi im, and
Ketuvim. The Torah is the first five books of the Bible, each named for the first words in them:
Bereshit, Shemot, Vayikra, Bamidbar and D varim. The Torah (Hebrew for guidance or instruction
) begins with the story of Creation, continues through the formation of the twelve tribes of Israel,
and outlines the system of laws that organizes Jewish society. The next section is the Nevi im,
which are the writings involving the former latter prophets: Joshua, Judges, Samuel, Kings, Isaiah,
Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and The Twelve. Overall, these books discuss and attempt to understand the
struggles exile of Israel and Judah. The third section of the Tanak is the Ketuvim, which translates
as writings, which focus on restoration of the ideal society and what life was like for the people of
the time.
In ancient times, the order of these books was not at issue, as they were written on scrolls. After
codex books were invented in the 1st century C.E., it became

A Separate Peace Movie Vs Book
There are so many changes between the book and the movie. The book was a lot better than the
movie I think. When a producer makes a movie out of a book, they take the most interesting
things from the book and just erase the rest of it. Us book lovers absolutely hate when they go to
watch a movie based off a book they love and they leave out the most important details. The book
first opens up with Frank Bryce s history, about how he was accused of murdering the Riddle
family he worked for, many years ago. This is omitted from the movie. Bertha Jorkins, the Ministry
employee that Wormtail and Voldemort capture and question, and who gives Voldemort the
information about the Triwizard Tournament being placed at Hogwarts is also not in the movie....

Weasley gives Ron his dress robes before the start of school, but as Mrs. Weasley is omitted
from this movie, Ron gets his dress robes by post and Errol delivers them to him while in the

arrive at school Peeves is throwing water balloons at the students as they are gathered in the hall,
and they see the sorting ceremony for the new first years, but this is omitted from the movie. In
the book, the Sorting Hat sings a new song about the history of Hogwarts and the Founders
which is not shown in the movie. The arrival of the Durmstrang and Beauxbatons schools occurs
on 30th of October and not on the 1st of September as in the movie. Padma Patil is in Ravenclaw
and not in Gryffindor. Malfoy as a ferret scene is very extended in the movie. In the movie,
Moody demonstrates the three Unforgivable Curses on a single spider, ultimately killing it. In
the book, he uses a different spider for each one, and later is also shown using the Imperius
Curse on students in order to teach them how to overcome its effects. Madame Maxime is said
to be the same height as Hagrid, while in the movie she s noticeable taller. The movie implies
that Durmstrang is an all boy school and Beauxbatons all girl, the book however, portraits both
school as mixed gender schools, as a boy is shown in Beauxbatons and a girl is shown in
Durmstrang. Neither school does any presentation when they arrive. Fleur Delacour as a part
Veela is omitted. Probably because the Veela and all the explanations given about them at the
World Cup are also not present. Also, the Beauxbatons pupils are rather unhappy about being at
Hogwarts. Fred and George are not the only students to try to find a way around the age line on the
Goblet of Fire. When Harry s name comes out of the Goblet of Fire, Dumbledore remains very
calm, he asks Harry if he did it, to which Harry replies no . Draco and his fellow Slytherins

Comedy Makes Us Superior to Absurdity
Tragedy is what comes to us in the perception of absurdity; it is when we recognize it but we hate
it. However, Comedy is the acceptance of absurdity. By examining the works of Much Ado about
Nothing, Dr. Horribles Sing Along Blog, and Candide we can see that only through comedy do we
make ourselves the superiors of absurdity and therefore we need tragedy to keep the balance
between laughter and torment sustainable.
In the version of John Whedons, much ado parts of tragedy are combined with elements of comedy,
which makes this version an acceptable light comedy. A tragedy is when the characters try to
solve a problem that affects everyone in the story and it ends with all the characters uniting in
either a marriage or a party. Much Ado About Nothing is no exception, and Hero s pretending to
die of humiliation by the friar s orders makes tragedy more vividly present here, Pause awhile,
[and] let my counsel sway you in this case. Your daughter here the princes left for dead: Let her
awhile be secretly kept in, And publish it that she is dead indeed; Maintain a mourning ostentation
And on your family s old monument Hang mournful epitaphs and do all rites That appertain unto a
burial. (Act IV Scene II). Much Ado about Nothing, creates a very strong sense of anger, betrayal,
hatred, grief, and despair among the main characters. Therefore, Shakespeare s usage of comedic
techniques like classic wit, falling in love, and robust hilarity are a must in order to tip the scale in

The blue line on left graph illustrated the ion binding potential for free GpdQ with 2 molar

On the other hand, based on the MCD intensity graph, free Rv0805 with 2.5 molar equivalence of
cobalt ion added (black fold line on right graph A) showed two distinct peaks at 500nm and 570nm
wavelength. Compared with GpdQ graph, we can conclude that the metal ion affinity in О± site is
very strong for both enzymes, but Rv0805 has a significant higher metal ion affinity in ОІ site.
Therefore, the overall metal ion affinity is higher for the Rv0805 enzyme.
b)The presence of substrate analogue (i.e. PO4) has a major impact on metal ion affinity in ОІ site

amount of cobalt ion added, the presence of PO4 analogue has a major impact on metal ion affinity

Conclusion and Suggestions to Remedy Issues Caused by Poor Nutrition
Abstract
We are a group of students at California State University of Northridge who found common interest
in the topic of child nutrition. By applying the core functions of public health, we were able to
analyze how poor child nutrition led to more serious problems such as chronic diseases and obesity.
We found out that there is plenty of data that proves obesity is caused by poor nutrition and
ultimately has led to poor health. As our group researched on the topic and related it to public
health, we have concluded that there is a relation between child nutrition and obesity. Solutions for
the problem of obesity are suggested to conclude the essay. It is important to understand that
nutrition and health are always closely related, and that child nutrition should especially be
monitored closely as children are the future of our homes, communities, and the nation.
Child Nutrition
Good nutrition is important for everyone in every age group. It is an essential part of leading a
healthy lifestyle, not only physically but also mentally. In public health, child nutrition is especially
emphasized for multiple reasons. First, children are

generate tension and fear throughout their characters actions and lives, causing the tension to build
up within the audienceas they experience the paranoia throughout the texts.
Alfredson s and Orwell s texts Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and 1984 both portray atmospheres of
paranoia through visual imagery and visual elements. Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy s opening scene
which commences with the distinct footsteps, quiet music and the creaking of the door as it opens
emphasise the paranoia within the atmosphere as Prideaux and Control meet. The scene starts in
darkness and gradually becomes brighter, music further amplifies the paranoia by carrying the
music from darkness to the opening of the door ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As the door opens the darkness of Control s face, highlighted by the light from within the room,

and his stature which towered over the pair of them emphasising his powerful physique which
strikes fear into Winston as the already present terror amplifies. Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy uses a

Disadvantages Of Bottled Water
If a person conducting a social experiment were to pass out two label less water bottles, one filled
with tap water and one filled with bottled water, the number of people that cannot tell which bottle
contains tap water might be surprising. The difference between tap and bottled water can vary
depending on brand, location, and other factors, but there will always be those that stand out. Tap
water has many advantages over bottled waterin frequent use. While bottled water might have its
own convenience, tap water costs less, is tested more frequently and publicly, and there is safety in
tap water despite the stigma stating otherwise. Tap water cost less due to not having to spend
money on the plastic needed to create the bottlesof bottled water. The cheapest bottled water found
in the local area could be a pack of twelve for $3.00, meaning the price per bottlewould be around
0.25 Вў; this amount is much greater than the average cost of tap water. Cost per bottle is not the
only cost of bottled water, there are also costs of transportation and production of the bottles
necessary to consider. According to Standage, This year, Americans will spend around $9.8
billion on bottled water (1). The amount spent in America alone on bottled water, if reallocated
elsewhere could provide large changes in places of need. Finance is not the only cost that bottled
water could impact however. The plastic in the bottles is made from petrol made from an oil base.

The Use of Deception in William Shakespeare s Twelfth...
The Use of Deception in William Shakespeare s Twelfth Night Deception is a key theme in
William Shakespeare s Twelfth Night. The characters must use deception to obtain good things,
escape bad situations, or to play cruel hilarious ticks on other people. One example of deception
is when Viola clothes herself in men s clothing in order to obtain a job under the Duke of Illyria,
Orsino. During another scene Sir Andrew, Fabian, Maria, and Sir Toby Belch trick Malvolio into
making a fool of himself. A third example of deception is when Feste the jester disguises himself
as Sir Topas and taunts Malvolio. Each of these scenes and characters helps depict the different
uses of deception. The first example of deception is... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Olivia mistakenly proposes to Sebastian. Despite the fact that Sebastian has never met Olivia,
he accepts the marriage. After the Duke discovers Viola s gender, he falls in love with her and
they wed. A second example of deception is the cruel trick that Sir Andrew, Fabian, Maria, and
Sir Toby Belch play on Malvolio. Maria, Olivia s lady in waiting , writes a note in her mistress s
handwriting saying that Olivia falls for men who wear high yellow stockings and smile all the
time. Sir Toby says: He shall think by the letter that thou wilt drop that they come from my niece,
and that she s in love with him. (Shakespeare, 157) The conspirators then place the note in Maria
s garden, a place where Malvolio surely will find it. They do this to Malvolio because he had
ruined their rambunctious fun the night before. Malvolio finds the letter and reads it: ...cast thy
humble slough, and appear fresh. Be opposite with kinsman, surly with servants...Remember
who commended thy yellow stockings, and wished to see thee ever cross gartered . (Shakespeare,
139 145) Later, Malvolio confronts Olivia and she thinks he is insane. Malvolio gets put in a cage
and becomes isolated for his behavior. Far a third and final example of deception, Feste disguises
himself as Sir Topas to further annoy Malvolio. Maria asks Feste to dress up in a gown and hat and

Male Dominance Quotes Thenovel mainly deals with the struggle, both in Africa and America , of women to gain recognition as separate individuals who deserve equal and fair treatment. Male dominance is the major folkway which operates in both the countries. It takes different forms, not least of which is sexual aggression. In the very first letter, Celie talks about the abuse she suffers at the hands of the man she believes for a long time as her father. Mary Agnes is raped by the white uncle whom she approaches for help to get Sofia out of the prison and Mr Albert also. Physical violence also seems to be a very common occurrence, even in relationships which seemed loving, like that between Harpo and his wife Sofia. He beats her because it is a respectable thing... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... She is also forced to accept Albert s affair with Shug Avery, which goes to an extent of him sleeping with her under the same roof. In fact fidelity is not viewed as an important quality by most of the men, although the same behaviour if exhibited by females is cause for comment. I personally feel that the character of Shug is certainly a symbol of feminism. The woman who manages to challenge the male dominance the most is no other than Shug, who depicts her independence by living according to her own principles. It is unsurprising, given the circumstances that Shug and Celie get involved emotionally . Shug is a powerful and determined woman who refuses to be stepped on by men. Celie is a victim of male abuse who has closed herself off from the possibility of trusting men. Another important instance can be of how the preacher attacks Shug by implication because of her loose lifestyle, but on the other hand men are allowed to behave as they wish. The main message of the novel is that women must stand up and fight against the unfair treatment they receive at the hands of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Band members must analyze every moment and focus on hitting their notes while getting to their designated spot on the field. A marching band show is a moving picture; something completely different. It s a little bit of math and theatre and obviously music. Learning to get to the right mark on the field while hitting the right note on a musical instrument takes a lot of sacrifice, hard work, preparation and teamwork. It takes a gifted and dedicated student to play high quality and performance ready music. In a marching band, that same student accomplishes physically rigorous and complex drills, keeps the music coming and balances between multiple hours of practice each week along with academics and other responsibilities such as work, family and other things of the sort. Beowulf s HeroicCode Beowulf remains one of the most important works of English literature though it was written centuries ago. One reason for this fact is that many of the themes that it touches on are still pertinent in today s extremely different society. One of the most prevalent themes found in Beowulf is the importance of the heroic code. Much of this epic poem is dedicated to conveying and exemplifying the heroic code which values such attributes as strength, courage and honor. Conflicting with this ideology are other factors such as Christianity, and these tensions affect the lives and decisions of the narrative s characters. Over the course of the poem, Beowulfmatures from a gallant warrior into a wise leader. This transition illustrates that a sometimes conflicting code of values goes along with each of his roles. In Germanic societies, such as the one in which Beowulf takes place, there were heroic codes which defined how a noble person should act. In ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In the beginning he is a brave fighter, but by the end, he has become a wise and noble king. This transition shows that perhaps a different code is necessary to fulfill these different roles. These sets of values illustrate early on in the poem the contrary outlooks of Beowulf and Hrothgar. Early in the poem, Beowulf is young, brave and has no one to worry about but himself. Because of this he can risk everything in his quest for personal glory. Hrothgar, on the other hand, is responsible for the lives of many people, and therefore seeks their safety rather than his own honor. Hrothgar s example becomes invaluable to Beowulf in preparation for the time when he will take the throne. He learns that as a king, it is his duty to praise his warriors as well as protect his people. Hrothgar emphasizes the importance of creating a stable environment. Mr. Mead AndThe Police Car In The Pedestrian By Ray Bradbury The characterizations of Mr. Mead and the Police Car in the story The Pedestrian draws a clear distinction between our society and the futuristic society that the author, Ray Bradbury, intended to create in his story. This allows the readers to better understand what the author s perspective of a world where humans rely too much on technology is like. An example would be the characterization of Mr. Mead as a weird person in the futuristic society because he enjoys walking. This could be seen in Mr. Mead s conversation with the police, Walking, just walking, walking? Yes, sir. Walking where? For what? Walking for air. Walking to see. Your address! Mr. Mead can clearly be described as an odd ball in this society because he walks for the fresh air despite the usage of Air conditioners and viewing screen, but his actions are normal in our society and he would be described by the readers as normal. Another example is the characterization of the police car as a machine, programed to arrest humans with regressive behaviors. The characterization is clear when the Police car ask Mr. Mead for his name, Your name? said the police car in a metallic whisper (page 2) and when he told Mr. Mead that he is taking him To the Psychiatric Center for Research on Regressive Tendencies (page 2). My European Vacation EuropeanVacation My childhood was filled with weekend road trips with my family traveling to surrounding states. Sitting in the back of our mini van with my brother watching Scooby Doo is one of the best memories I have. As my brother and I got older, we started taking bigger trips. The first big trip my family took was to Disney World, I can still remember the feeling of feeling the plane s wheels take off the ground. Since then, I have always craved that feeling. Traveling became something that my family did every year, and every year I looked forward to the week spent just with my family. My parents have always dreamt about taking my brother and I to Europe. After searching for the perfect vacation, my mom decided on a 20 day toured trip to Italy, France, Switzerland, and The United Kingdom. I was ecstatic, since I had been young I had always wanted to go to Paris, and now I got to experience all of these other countries as well. The day finally came for us to leave on this European adventure. We were all packed up and heading for our first flight to O Hare International Airport. We boarded our international plane ready to take on the thirteen hour flight that was ahead of us. The next morning we arrived at our first destination thousands of miles from home, we were finally in Rome. I had been familiar with the song, On the Road Again , by Willie Nelson before our European Vacation, but it was only a song to me then. I never would have thought that the song my ... School Shootings Guns inthe Classroom 131 people have died in mass school shootings since 1999 to 2015 (Le Miere). This excludes any shootings that have resulted with 4 or less fatalities because they are not considered mass shootings. However, these tragic events can be prevented or stopped faster if a trained adult had presented a firearm. I believe that if a teacher would like to have a firearm in their classroom to help prevent any fatalities from possible school shootings they should be allowed. Many people oppose the concept of guns in the classroom, but a compromise can be found between the two sides of the continuum. These compromisation can be applied to the classroom to help stop school shootings and make sure school shootings don t occur. Many people oppose the concept of their being a gun in the classroom. These people who oppose it are a genuine part of the application process for this policy to be applied and their opinions and worries need to be heard. However not every need can be met most can and both sides can come to a compromise. The teacher not being able to handle the firearm or react in a dangerous situation is a big worry for many people. Most people would not have the nerve, rational thought, or skill to do it on the spot. Providing stop gap training would not address the whole picture. Effects Of VolunteeringOn My Life Volunteering and its effect on my life Volunteering has deeply embedded life changing experiences in my life. During my experience as a volunteer, I volunteered for Habitat for Humanity. Habitat for Humanity is a volunteer based organization that constructs, and renovates homes for people who were recently in a natural disaster, deeply in need, and for people who are in need of a stable place to live without being scared of being evicted. Not only have I learned how I affect other people, but I have also noticed that volunteering has had an effect on me. In my work as a volunteer, I never knew that what I do for people in need could have such an effect on me personally, and give me an inside view into less fortunate peoples lives. Volunteering for Habitat for Humanity has given me a chance to see into others lives and has developed my sense of purpose in my community. Habitat for Humanity says, I cherish the friendship that develops among people who labor toward common goals in challenging circumstances. Each time my car pulls up to the build site, I am filled with joy at the prospect of being able to make a difference, to matter to someone who matters to me (Habitat for Humanity). What the author is saying is he or she loves to volunteer, and loves to feel as if it he or she makes a difference. That is how I felt while I was volunteering. I felt as if I was important throughout my whole experience, or you could say I felt like I gained a sense of purpose through volunteering. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said, Faith is taking the first step even when you don t see the whole staircase. In my mind that is why I volunteered to build houses to change people s lives. In doing so I met several people and they told me their stories, and how they ended up in the situation they are in. Meeting these people in need has given me a inside view into their life, which is much different than mine. Knowing what these people in need have done to stay alive, feed their children, and stay off the streets is what motivates me to volunteer. That is what my sense of purpose derives from and my sense of purpose will grow exponentially when I know what I am doing makes a difference in someone s life. Volunteering gives me a ... Winter Symbolism InLiterature Essay When you think of winter what do you usually think about? I think about the freezing temperatures, the ice, and the snow. However, in literature winter can be symbolic of many things. The dark, sadness, old age, and death are just some of the things winter can symbolize in literature. The songs California dreamin by the Mamas and Papas and A hazy shade of winterby Simon and Garfunkel are both about winter but mean very different things. Foster s How to Read Literature Like a Professor will also be referenced in order to help show the meanings of these pieces. California dreaming is a very simple and straightforward song;. It has three short verses and a chorus that repeats a couple of times. California dreamin on such a winter s day is repeated throughout the song. This is the main essence of the song. The narrator is telling us that he likes the warm and sunny days of California more than the cold harsh winter. Throughout this song we learn of other things that the narrator dislikes which are gray skies and brown leaves. These signify the arrival of winter which saddens the narrator. There s also a deeper meaning that can be figured out with the help of Foster s work. In his book he tells us that the cold often can symbolize sadness and that warm often symbolizes happiness. One of the many possible meanings that the mamas and papas could be trying to convey is that it isn t easy to be happy. In the song the narrator arrives at a church and is going to stay. Even though he isn t very happy he would rather be in the church than in the cold as shown in the next verse where he starts to complain about the cold again. We can learn from this message to be thankful for what we have even though it isn t what we want because it could always be worse. In A Hazy Shade of Winter by Simon and Garfunkel the narrator sends a clear message that he does not like the arrival of winter. When you hear the song you can tellhow much he doesn t like the winter anytime anything related to it is said. His voice becomes low, dull and lifeless. The way he sings tries to makes you associate sadness with the winter. To the narrator the winter may be sad because it is cold but if we look deeper into the song we ... Patient Centered CareHas A Triple Aim In a day and age where everything is becoming mobile and consumer driven, healthcare is no exception. Patients are now able to drive healthcare industry spending and have access to more health services. A growing body of evidence suggests that the patient centered medical home is an effective model to transform primary care and serve as a foundation for accountable care organizations, working together in integrated communities of care (Harbrechet Latts, 2015). Patient centered care could change the outdated medical models by focusing on patient doctor relationships and what the patient deems important in their healthcare (Kahn, 2014). Patient centered care has a triple aim: to improve individuals health; achieve improved population health; and reduce cost trends. A complementary goal was to improve satisfaction for patients and health care teams (Harbrechet Latts, 2015). Early studies suggest that this type of care will also improve efficiency and lend us closer to the frontier of health production. The Patient Centered Health model is the fastest growing healthcare delivery system innovation (O Kane, Barr, Scholle, 2014). This is largely due to the Affordable Care Act and its impact on health coverage (Fifield, Forrest, Burleson, Martin Peele, Gillespie, 2013; Harbrechet Latts, 2015). This paper will focus on how patient centered medicineimpacts efficiency in healthcare. The Affordable Care Act gives patients more choices in their health coverage options in ... However, the Brexit will not materialize immediately since Article 50 of the Treaty of the Union provides for a two year period (renewable) between the withdrawal request and its effectiveness. Thus, for at least 2 years, the United Kingdom will continue to be a member of the EU (and contribute € 4,930 million to its annual budget!). In this period, the modalities of the exit of the British Kingdom will have to be negotiated between European leaders. Then the trade agreements will be renegotiated, which could take up to 10 years warned the British government. Thus, the economic consequences of a Brexit on the British economy will depend on the outcome of these negotiations. Some studies, however, have sought to measure the long term consequences for the British economy. Overall, they conclude that there are rather negative impacts on trade, GDP growth or per capita income (économiques, Créé le 30 juin 2016). The Goddess OfThe Earth Essay The darkness fills a land where evil runs unopposed, illuminated by the five gushing rivers that characterize the land, each unique to their region of hell. At the center, the infamous river of Styx flows from Oceanus, creating a boundary between the land of the living and the land of the dead. The Kokytos river branches southward off of Styx feeding into the marsh. On the other side of the marsh, the Acheron river ebbs and flows southeast. Northwest of Styx, towards the Gates of Ivory lays the waters of Lethe, the river of forgetfulness. Circling the Northern region of Tartarus flows Phlegethon, winding like a python ready to choke the life out of its prey. Close to Phelegethon, east of Tartus, is the plain of Judgments where cries of... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Mi lady, came a death whisper that filled the silence in an uncanny hollow way. Mi lord has returned. Assured that the spirit could hear that her heart rate pounding in her ears, Proserpina forced her sob down and refused to cry out in agony. Damned to this land just as much as she was, Pluto s return came as no shock. She just thought she had a few more days free of her husband, king, and tormentor. Not for the first time her anger for Jupiter burned in her heart, for surely he would have control over Pluto enough to force her release, but no the gods were powerless. Not for the first time, Proserpina wished she would have died slowly instead of eating those seeds prolonging her suffering. Mi lady, whispered the Laureus. With the speed of Mercury, Proserpina unsheathed her dagger and launched it towards the Laureus head. With a hellish scream the deposed demon dissipated before her. Proserpina grinned at her blade, as she bent to pick it up and place it back in its sheath. If only she could do that to her husband, she would be free. When the spirit rematerialized, Proserpina acceded and followed the spirit through the palace and went to the throne room at the heart of the palace. Her husband stood regally on his dais and leered down at her as she approaches the steps the way he did every time he summoned her. Hamlet As ATragic Tragedy In spite of the fact that tragedies had been written in the English language before William Shakespeare s time, it was England s national poet who gave tragedies their distinguishing qualities and elevated tragedies to its peak of excellence. It is within Shakespeare s tragedies where the operation of a tragic flaw in a hero s character is depicted. The word tragic flaw is derived from the Greek concept of Hamartia, used by Greek philosopher Aristotle. A tragic flaw is defined as a personality trait of a story s protagonist that leads to his or her demise due to the personal defect of their character; although, chance, fate, and sometimes supernatural play in the role of the fall of the tragedys hero, Shakespeare s tragedies essentially are the tragedy of the character (Devi, p. 1 par. 1). Hamletwas many things: a speaker, a scholar, an actor, and a prince. His greatness would exude in all of his accomplishments, except one: his inability to act. Hamlet could not find himself to be able to avenge his father s death without adjournment. The tragic flaw in Hamlet s character is what caused him to postpone his revenge on Claudius, the brother and murderer of the late king Hamlet. The error or frailty in Shakespeare s character is Hamlet s idealistic beliefs. While Hamlet s idealism is certainly a good characteristic to have, in this case, because of Hamlet s atmosphere and circumstances which befall on him, his beliefs causes great conflicts within himself. Chinese Culture OfHong Kong From the historical aspect, the society of Hong Kong inherited characteristic from the British colonial era but still the influence of China is heavy. Hong Kong has a closely connection with mainland China due to geographical proximity and 95% Chinese immigrants with of its population help to maintain the identity among Chinese in Hong Kong, despite they tend to blend of both oriental and Western elements(Tsu, 2014). Although the British colonial government in Hong Kong did not have any intention to fade Chinese identity, the colonial education system did not cover much about contemporary China(Luk, 1991) . Due to the gap in ideological and material conditions between Hong Kong and mainland China, the perception on identity and issues of nationalism/patriotism between many Hong Kong s Chinese people and the Chinese government are different (Tsu, 2014). The World OfThe Desert Dubai has built some of the world s prettiest buildings and other amazing feats that can t be accomplished in the desert, but they somehow did it. For example, they built the tallest building in the world in the middle of the desert, and the world s first 7 star hotel on an island in the Persian Gulf. They have also built the two biggest malls in the world and one of them has a ski slope in it, yet it stands in the middle of the desert. They also built a 5 star golf course in the desert and it is one of the prettiest golf courses in the world. They also just passed London s Heathrow airport for being the most traveled through airport, because when in Dubaitwo flights can land people anywhere in the world. When they ran out of shoreline, for beachfront properties for the rich and wealthy, they built new islands, all in shapes appealing to tourists, like palm trees or the globe. Ironically, Dubai doesn t get most of their money from oil, they get it from tourism. This strategy is bold, since if they fail to build things that will bring in tourists, one of the greatest cities on earth will not be so great anymore. Dubai has to go big or go home. Compare And DifferencesOf The Hebrew Bible The Hebrew Bible (Tanak), the Protestant Christian, and Catholic Orthodox Old Testaments share many similarities, as well as significant differences. The similarities are simple: they each start with the same five books, and contain largely the same writings of wisdom, history and prophecy. In the following paragraphs, I ll focus on the ways that the three groups sacred texts are different in structure and purpose. The Tanak is named for the first letters of its three its three main sections: Torah, Nevi im, and Ketuvim. The Torah is the first five books of the Bible, each named for the first words in them: Bereshit, Shemot, Vayikra, Bamidbar and D varim. The Torah (Hebrew for guidance or instruction ) begins with the story of Creation, continues through the formation of the twelve tribes of Israel, and outlines the system of laws that organizes Jewish society. The next section is the Nevi im, which are the writings involving the former latter prophets: Joshua, Judges, Samuel, Kings, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and The Twelve. Overall, these books discuss and attempt to understand the struggles exile of Israel and Judah. The third section of the Tanak is the Ketuvim, which translates as writings, which focus on restoration of the ideal society and what life was like for the people of the time. In ancient times, the order of these books was not at issue, as they were written on scrolls. After codex books were invented in the 1st century C.E., it became ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

A Separate PeaceMovie Vs Book There are so many changes between the book and the movie. The book was a lot better than the movie I think. When a producer makes a movie out of a book, they take the most interesting things from the book and just erase the rest of it. Us book lovers absolutely hate when they go to watch a movie based off a book they love and they leave out the most important details. The book first opens up with Frank Bryce s history, about how he was accused of murdering the Riddle family he worked for, many years ago. This is omitted from the movie. Bertha Jorkins, the Ministry employee that Wormtail and Voldemort capture and question, and who gives Voldemort the information about the Triwizard Tournament being placed at Hogwarts is also not in the movie.... In the book, when they first arrive at school Peeves is throwing water balloons at the students as they are gathered in the hall, and they see the sorting ceremony for the new first years, but this is omitted from the movie. In the book, the Sorting Hat sings a new song about the history of Hogwarts and the Founders which is not shown in the movie. The arrival of the Durmstrang and Beauxbatons schools occurs on 30th of October and not on the 1st of September as in the movie. Padma Patil is in Ravenclaw and not in Gryffindor. Malfoy as a ferret scene is very extended in the movie. In the movie, Moody demonstrates the three Unforgivable Curses on a single spider, ultimately killing it. In the book, he uses a different spider for each one, and later is also shown using the Imperius Curse on students in order to teach them how to overcome its effects. Madame Maxime is said to be the same height as Hagrid, while in the movie she s noticeable taller. The movie implies that Durmstrang is an all boy school and Beauxbatons all girl, the book however, portraits both school as mixed gender schools, as a boy is shown in Beauxbatons and a girl is shown in Durmstrang. Neither school does any presentation when they arrive. Fleur Delacour as a part Veela is omitted. Probably because the Veela and all the explanations given about them at the World Cup are also not present. Also, the Beauxbatons pupils are rather unhappy about being at Hogwarts. Fred and George are not the only students to try to find a way around the age line on the Goblet of Fire. Comedy Makes UsSuperior to Absurdity Tragedy is what comes to us in the perception of absurdity; it is when we recognize it but we hate it. However, Comedy is the acceptance of absurdity. By examining the works of Much Ado about Nothing, Dr. Horribles Sing Along Blog, and Candide we can see that only through comedy do we make ourselves the superiors of absurdity and therefore we need tragedy to keep the balance between laughter and torment sustainable. In the version of John Whedons, much ado parts of tragedy are combined with elements of comedy, which makes this version an acceptable light comedy. A tragedy is when the characters try to solve a problem that affects everyone in the story and it ends with all the characters uniting in either a marriage or a party. Comparison Of ParanoiaIn Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy And 1984 Alfredson s Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and Orwell s 1984 both illustrate atmospheres of paranoia through imagery, fear of losing relationships and setting. Through these illustrations both creators generate tension and fear throughout their characters actions and lives, causing the tension to build up within the audienceas they experience the paranoia throughout the texts. Alfredson s and Orwell s texts Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and 1984 both portray atmospheres of paranoia through visual imagery and visual elements. Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy s opening scene which commences with the distinct footsteps, quiet music and the creaking of the door as it opens emphasise the paranoia within the atmosphere as Prideaux and Control meet. Disadvantages Of BottledWater If a person conducting a social experiment were to pass out two label less water bottles, one filled with tap water and one filled with bottled water, the number of people that cannot tell which bottle contains tap water might be surprising. The difference between tap and bottled water can vary depending on brand, location, and other factors, but there will always be those that stand out. Tap water has many advantages over bottled waterin frequent use. While bottled water might have its own convenience, tap water costs less, is tested more frequently and publicly, and there is safety in tap water despite the stigma stating otherwise. Tap water cost less due to not having to spend money on the plastic needed to create the bottlesof bottled water. The cheapest bottled water found in the local area could be a pack of twelve for $3.00, meaning the price per bottlewould be around 0.25 Вў; this amount is much greater than the average cost of tap water. Cost per bottle is not the only cost of bottled water, there are also costs of transportation and production of the bottles necessary to consider. According to Standage, This year, Americans will spend around $9.8 billion on bottled water (1). The amount spent in America alone on bottled water, if reallocated elsewhere could provide large changes in places of need. Finance is not the only cost that bottled water could impact however. The plastic in the bottles is made from petrol made from an oil base. With ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Use ofDeception in William Shakespeare s Twelfth... The Use of Deception in William Shakespeare s Twelfth Night Deception is a key theme in William Shakespeare s Twelfth Night. The characters must use deception to obtain good things, escape bad situations, or to play cruel hilarious ticks on other people. One example of deception is when Viola clothes herself in men s clothing in order to obtain a job under the Duke of Illyria, Orsino. During another scene Sir Andrew, Fabian, Maria, and Sir Toby Belch trick Malvolio into making a fool of himself. A third example of deception is when Feste the jester disguises himself as Sir Topas and taunts Malvolio. Each of these scenes and characters helps depict the different uses of deception. The first example of deception is... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Olivia mistakenly proposes to Sebastian. Despite the fact that Sebastian has never met Olivia, he accepts the marriage. After the Duke discovers Viola s gender, he falls in love with her and they wed. A second example of deception is the cruel trick that Sir Andrew, Fabian, Maria, and Sir Toby Belch play on Malvolio. Maria, Olivia s lady in waiting , writes a note in her mistress s handwriting saying that Olivia falls for men who wear high yellow stockings and smile all the time. Sir Toby says: He shall think by the letter that thou wilt drop that they come from my niece, and that she s in love with him. (Shakespeare, 157) The conspirators then place the note in Maria s garden, a place where Malvolio surely will find it. They do this to Malvolio because he had ruined their rambunctious fun the night before. Malvolio finds the letter and reads it: ...cast thy humble slough, and appear fresh. Be opposite with kinsman, surly with servants...Remember who commended thy yellow stockings, and wished to see thee ever cross gartered . (Shakespeare, 139 145) Later, Malvolio confronts Olivia and she thinks he is insane. Malvolio gets put in a cage and becomes isolated for his behavior. Far a third and final example of deception, Feste disguises himself as Sir Topas to further annoy Malvolio. Maria asks Feste to dress up in a gown and hat and put on a long beard, to disguise himself as ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
