Branding
When creating our music production package, we had
to remember the importance of branding. Branding is
important when creating a music production package
as it creates an unique image for the product which (if
done correctly) will stick in the consumers’ minds.
Branding aims to establish a presence in the market
and hopefully appeals to many consumers of whom
will buy the digipak. To create a brand, we created
synergy across all of our music production package to
establish our band.
Front Cover Picture
We have used the same picture on the front cover of
the digipak and on the poster so that potential
customers that see the advertising poster will
recognise the photo on the digipak from the poster.
The female pictured on both the poster and digipak is
also the same female in the music video wearing the
same dress. The synergy created allows the audience
of the music video to recognise the female on the
digipak or poster from the music video.
Colour Scheme
The colour scheme for our music production package
was black, white and grey. We wanted to use this
colour scheme as it is very sophisticated much like our
chosen artist. However, many R&B music production
packages use a black, white and grey colour scheme
as it gives of a sexual and mysterious atmosphere, but
we wanted to give of a more of a sophisticated
atmosphere.
Consistent Style
Throughout the music production package, we also
used a consistent style. For example on both the
digipak and the poster we placed the photo of our
actress on the right hand side and the writing is in the
same font and colour. This creates a visual style which
is consistent throughout the music production package
which makes it recognisable to the consumers.
Conclusion
Looking at our music production package, I am very
happy with the way the entire music production
package turned out and I think if the digipak and poster
went into the market, they would be successful with a
good marketing plan.
