What have you learnt about
technologies from the process of
constructing this product?

2. Photoshop
I was able to use Photoshop to create my magazine
cover and also my contents page. It allowed me to
import and edit images to how I intended them to be
viewed. It also let me choose the appropriate fonts and
let me place text wherever I wanted it.

3. SLR CAMERA
With the camera I was able to take high quality photos
to improve the standard of my magazine and how
aesthetically pleasing it was. Also, I could change the
lighting of them to make them the best they could
possibly be using a range of shot types.

4. InDesign
I used InDesign to create my double page spread. It
allowed me to create a two page spread simply and
easily and to import images to be resized. It let me
import my own choice of fonts and structure the layout
the way I wanted it.

5. DAFONT
This website let me download appropriate fonts for my
magazine such as bebus neue and Lemon milk. These
fonts allowed me to make my magazine seem unique
but at the same time adhere to some of the
stereotypical elements of a drum and bass magazine
such as the compressed mastheads along the top.

6. SLIDESHARE
Using slideshare enabled me to upload presentations
onto my blog quickly and easily. It meant that they were
able to be viewed with consummate ease.

7. FLICKR
This allowed me to upload my final pieces and
discuss how I would distribute my magazine.

8. SOCIAL
MEDIA
Social media allowed me to interact with my target
audience and gain their ideas, views and perspective on
what they feel will make the best magazine for them.

9. Microsoft
Word
I used Microsoft word to write up my double page
spread story. It was useful because I could type up drafts
and alter it until I got my finished story.

10. Microsoft
Powerpoint
On Microsoft PowerPoint I was able to create
presentations detailing what I have done along the way
in terms of planning, making and looking back over the
whole process.

11. BLOGGER
Google blogger gave me a platform to showcase my
work over a long period of time. It allowed me to easily
create and upload posts for the moderator to see on a
daily basis in order to see the progress in the planning,
creating and evaluation of my music magazine.

12. iMac
Most of the software and applications mentioned in the
slides before this one wouldn’t have been possible
without the use of the iMac. It allowed me to use the
internet too to access websites such as Dafont and Flickr.
