1. Evaluation Question 4
How did you use media technologies in the construction, research and planning and evaluation stages?

2. Camera
In order to get the best possible quality for my images for my production and ancillary tasks I used the EOS
55OD Canon camera. The camera is of high quality and captures extreme detail as can be seen in my
images. The device is also easy to use and has many different settings that can benefit different types of
shot. I removed The SD card and placed It in my Computer in order to transfer my images. Without the use
of a camera of this Quality my images would have been no where near as proffessional .

3. Google
I used google to research other magazines and images of magazines , to examine other exsisting
media. Doing this allowed me to access copies of many other magazines So I could analyse the
different codes and convention, to make my final product the best it could be..

4. Issuu
I used issuu to find online copies of regional magazines that were difficult to find because they
did not have a specific website. Issuu gave me access to many regional magazines and allowed me
to access the whole issuu as oppose to just the front cover. It allowed me to discover a wider
range of media therefore adding to my list of codes and conventions which could be applied to
my own product. If I had not dicovered using issuu I would have struggled to find as many
examples to base my product on, unless I had bought physical copies of the magazines.

5. Blogger
Blogger is how I have presented all of my work, its simple to use just by submitting
blog posts when pieces of work are complete. I could access Blogger both at home
and school, settings can be applied to put work in date order or under specific titles
which makes it easier to navigate around the page. Using blogger made it simple to
edit pieces of work if there was mistakes and was much less time consuming than
printing
Copies of everything.

6. Imessage
I used imessage to contact my focus group and collect the opinions of others when creating my
production, I created a group chat where I submitted images of my work each time I had made a
change then my focus group was free to discuss their own opinions and I could then make the
changed that were necessary. This saved a lot of time as gathering all the members of my focus
group and meeting them to discuss on a regular basis would not have been possible .

7. Wix
‘wix’ Is the site that I designed my magzine website on. Wix is not a simple site to use but once
the basics have been learnt it can be done proffessionally and effectively. There a range of
templates that can be chose and then edited by adding my own text and images.The use of the
website allowed me to create a proffesional website that is consistent with the style of my
magazine.

8. Photoshop
I used photoshop to design my front cover , contents page , advert and my billboard. It allowevd
me to edit all my images to a proffesional standard by changing lighting andn contrast where
needed. Using photoshop was the best way to create a professional looking magazine as text and
images can all be added in separate layers making editing very easy. Without using photoshop my
magazine would have been of a worse qaulity .
