1. 2. What have you learnt about technologies from the
process of constructing this product?
Whilst designing my magazine I have used various software, such as Adobe Photoshop and Scribd. Whilst using these
programmes I have developed new skills.
Whilst using Adobe Photoshop, I learned how to blur the background on an image, in order to enhance the
main photo. This made the main feature (Joellen) more visible, which meant the direct address was more
obvious, so that a clear and immediate connection could be made between the magazine/Joellen and the
target audience.
Using ‘Scirbd’ allowed me to demonstrate a variety of computer skills, in relation to my blog (Blogger.com).
Beforehand, I had never used this programme; even so, it was easy to access and the process was simple to
upload documents to my blog, such as my Risk Assessment made on word document.
Slideshare was another programme which allowed me to simply upload documents to my blog. Although I
had never used this programme before, I found it easy to work with as it made the uploading process
simpler, compared to print screening word documents and saving them as a ‘Jpeg.’ in PDF. What’s more, it
has highlighted that I am not restricted to one certain software and can adapt to various programmes.
