2. Identify who your target
audience is?
 The target audience that we chose for our film trailer
would be viewers between the age of 16+. The reason
for this is that some of the scenes may seem scary for
those below that age. However, if they are not scared
or don’t have any negative reaction to it they are
welcome to watch the trailer. The main target audience
are those who are interested in watching
supernatural/horror movies and enjoy scaring
themselves.
 People that live in areas such as London are also the
target audience as, normally, supernatural/horror
movies are mainly set in America however we have
subverted this convention and set it in an urban area
such as London so we have more Londoners watching.

 The types of methods we used were
qualitative and quantitative.
 We used primary and secondary data. The
primary data that we collected was the
questionnaire/survey however the secondary
source that we used was imdb.com
 We also used sources such as Wikipedia to
gain a maximum knowledge of who are
consumer profile would be.

We asked 20 people what gender
they were and 8 were girls and 12
were boys. We thought this would be
biased as there were less females,
however, as we moved on we learnt
that more boys enjoy the
supernatural/horror genre.
As discussed before, we asked 20 people
whether or not they like the
supernatural/horror genre. 16 out of 20
people said they like the genre however 4
out of 20 said they didn’t. The reason for
this may be that as there were more boys
they could have all liked the genre as
boys, stereotypically enjoy these types of
movies.

6. How often do you go to the cinema
in a month?
We asked our audience how often they go
to the cinema because we wanted to
have an insight of how often people go
according to their time. From this we found
out that people who have jobs go less to
the cinema compared to the people that
don’t. According to our target audience
who are mainly between the age of 16-21
are more likely to go to the cinema.
When do you expect to see a horror
movie release?
This question was asked to give us a rough
idea of what release date we should put
on our trailer and poster. The majority of
the answers were on Halloween however,
some people also selected Friday the 13th.
We chose “This October” because there
were lots of answers for Halloween so we
decide it would be Halloween.
