We attracted our audience by rating our film 16+ to include more violence and plot twists that our research found they enjoy. We addressed women specifically by including psychological thriller elements like mystery and enigma codes in flashbacks that keep the audience questioning. Lastly, we applied Robert Warshaw's theory that audiences go into similar genres with experience, so by making our opening resemble films like American Psycho, audiences would recognize traits and feel more passive.

Choking occurs when an object gets stuck in the throat, blocking airflow to the lungs. Common causes are slippery, round foods like hot dogs and grapes, as well as nuts, thick foods like peanut butter, and objects becoming trapped when talking or laughing while eating. Someone who is choking will look alarmed and unable to speak, cough, or breathe. If not treated, they can lose consciousness and die of suffocation within four minutes. When choking is suspected, emergency services should be called immediately while performing abdominal thrusts until the object is dislodged or the person becomes unconscious.

This is our analysis of the survey that we made based on horror films which will help us in our final piece.
Evaluation activity 4

- Most respondents enjoyed horror films, but asking older groups may have changed responses. Expectations for supernatural horror films focused on themes of ghosts, spirits, and suspense rather than just "blood".
- The most commonly cited favorite supernatural horror films were Orphan and Paranormal Activity, showing awareness of popular titles in the genre. Paran
Survey results
Sabina Shah conducted primary and secondary research to inform decisions about a horror movie trailer. Through an online survey, Sabina gathered opinions from 82 respondents about their preferences and viewing habits related to horror movies. Key findings included that most respondents were female, enjoyed horror films, watched movies online, and found sound the most frightening element. This informed trailer design choices focused on social media promotion and use of sound. Secondary research found that teenagers are frequent moviegoers and horror is popular in late summer/fall, aligning with the target audience and planned release period.
Question four and five
The document discusses targeting a specific audience for a film rated R between ages 17 to 35. Research was conducted on existing R-rated films and audience feedback to determine the appropriate rating and elements to include. Violence and mystery were chosen as they appeal to males and a wider audience. Hoodies were included to appeal to teenagers. For the antagonist, they departed from expectations of an evil villain and instead portrayed an intelligent, beautiful woman with justified motives. Their protagonist was made more complex rather than a suave hero. Rather than a romance, the protagonists were siblings. They chose a ticking clock over music to set atmosphere. In contrast to expectations of a fast pace, they emulated the slow, eerie opening of Se7en to build suspense on a low budget. The simplistic title sequence gets right to the narrative.

5) how did you attract
- 1. 5) How did you Attract/address your audience? Following our questionnaire, we found that our audience like to have a lot of violence, blood and plot twists. This therefore attracted our audience as we rated the opening 16+ so it would make our audience more likely to watch our film due to them knowing there demands. Research we carried out found that Women are more likely to like psychological thrillers as they like the mystery elements of the genre. This is carried out in our film as we always show enigma codes such as the graveyard flashbacks. This would constantly keep the audience question why they are there so we are addressing the audience though are narrative techniques. Lastly we carried out the research which was based on Robert Warshaw theory that an audience will go into the film with previous experience of the same genre. This therefore led to use carrying out research by watching films/trailers such as American Psycho which according to the theory, the audience would recognise our opening as we have similar character traits so the audience would become more passive.
