The target audience for horror films is both male and female equally, across a wide range of ages. Research showed horror films have equal gender appeal and most people watch them with their romantic partners. While horror films generally receive 15 age ratings to attract the largest possible audience, including 15-20 year olds who watch horror films more than any other age group.

Throughout doing my audience research I have found that the majority of
people who enjoy watching Horror films are both male and female, it was an
equal split between the genders. When looking at other films gender
audience I found that most horror films were aimed at both male and
females. Therefore, When doing my poll junkie I asked who they watched
horror films with and the majority of the answers said with their
boyfriend/girlfriend/partner.

3. Age
I did some research and Horror films to help me see what the majority of
horror films age rating was and my research found that they were mainly a 15
this could be because it gets a bigger audience than a film would if it was 18
because people ages 15-20 watch horror films more than any other age.
