4. My media products include a music promotional video, website homepage and
digipak for the album.
When creating my music video, I wanted to have a certain level of
cinematography to evolve. In my final music video, there is a large diversity of
colours and shot types, which I wanted to mirror in my ancillary tasks. For my
digipak I took cinematic stills from the music video to create images that carry
the same style as the video. For my website homepage I went about the same
process to show that there was in fact a visible link between all my media
products.
SYNERGY I CREATED BETWEEN
THE MEDIA PRODUCTS
5. With my website homepage, I provided information on the shooting and
creation of the promotional music video in some detail and shows visuals of
some of the contents of the video - showing a sense of synergy between the
ancillary tasks and the main product.

6. I used the same text design (called ‘moon flower’ that I extracted from
‘Dafont.com’) in the main product to present the song and band name at tne
beginning and end of the film and also on the front cover of the digipak,
which shows an instant relationship between the two media products.

7. In terms of colour, I used a tinted yellow colour on the homepage of the
website and on the side of the digipak showing a link between the two
products. I then used a white coloured text in the music video and on the
front cover of the digipak portraying once again another use of synergy.

8. I believe the media products I have produced are individual to others of their
kind. I purposefully created a user-friendly website that all age groups could
use. I Used other media platforms on my website such as audio mp3s
(gathered from soundcloud), where I was able to post all of the band’s new
releases and allow consumers to listen for free and have a chance to get to
know the band, which I don’t believe is consistent with other websites of its
kind.

IDENTIFIABLE TO AN AUDIENCE?
9. I have successfully targeted my audience on the website via the use of
different pages giving information on a variation of topics that may apply to
some consumers more than others.
My other anciallry task (digipak) also has similar features to the website in that
its appealing to all age groups. The digipak is simple yet effective as it tells the
consumer about the band and its origins.
When watching the music video and seeing the digipak and website together,
the style and content share huge similarities in style and format and so I
believe they are identifiable.
WILL MY MEDIA PRODUCTS BE EASILY
IDENTIFIABLE TO AN AUDIENCE?
10. I was really happy with how my media products turned out. They all share a
similar visual style and revolve around the same theme.
I believe that they do meet the conventions of products of their kind – using
elements of the music video in the ancillary tasks and creating a sense of
synergy through each media product. However, I believe that the digipak for
example also possess features that others of its kind don’t include such as the
origin of the band section presented in the inside of the digipak, which
almost allows the band to communicate with its audience, which you don’t see
in many other digipak on the market.
I believe each product carries out their purpose very effectively via simple
design, synergistic features and theme.
DO I BELIEVE MY MEDIA
PRODUCTS WERE SUCCESSFUL?
