There are several precautions that should be followed when printing OMR sheets:
1) The size and format of the OMR sheet design must match what was intended and not be altered.
2) The index points and bubbles, which are used to scan the sheets, must be printed clearly and in the correct positions.
3) Factors like font size within bubbles and distance from edges should be considered to avoid errors in scanning.
Designing, printing, scanning and reading OMR sheets have become quite simple with the introduction of OMR software. Special equipment, tools and paper are no longer required today.
