learned from your
audience
feedback?
2. Audience feedback has been greatly beneficial throughout the post production
of my music video. Surveymonkey and Facebook, being participatory cultures
have encouraged my experimentation with audience feedback. I conducted a
questionnaire on Surveymonkey.com to gain responses from my target
audience on the music video, overall the audience feedback (qualitive and
quantative data) was very positive.
The feedback and rating of the music video reflects the time and effort I put
into the production of the video, it also shows that I have captured the
personality and genre of the artist and there is a clear relationship between the
artist and the final products. In addition to audience feedback, Victor Karani
sent me a short video of himself recording his feedback on the video. He
expressed what he liked and disliked about it, also how it promotes himself as
an artist. This additional feedback has reassured me that the final outcome of
the digipak, print advert and music video have been constructed successfully.
3. Despite not including audience feedback entirely throughout the production of
the music video, I feel the audiences’ feedback from ‘surveymonkey’ and the
music artist’s feedback via ‘YouTube’ is strong enough to evaluate the project as a
whole.
4. To increase the awareness of my survey I created for feedback about my music
video, I posted the link to the survey on myFacebooknewsfeed. This highly
encouraged my friends on Facebook to take part on the survey. I also decided to
post the video onFacebookto increase social awareness of Victor Karani and the final
product.
5. As well as myself sharing the video on Facebook, the actual artist, Victor Karani
also shared it on his profile. This then enabled Victor’s friends on the social
networking site to share it with their friends etc.
6. This is an example of productive social awareness, the link the Facebook user
has posted is to a youtube link of the music video of Victor Karani ‘The Intro’.
I am extremely pleased that the audience has reacted very positively to the
video and is willing to share it with others in order to gain recognition.
