2. INTRODUCTION
 Within this evaluation I will be analysing the technology I used during
the research and planning stage, construction-video stage and the
evaluation stage. The technology can be both hardware and software
but on the majority it will be software. By the end of the evaluation I will
be able to show what I have learnt, this I will share with you by screen
grabbing areas and doing a step by step guide on how to use certain
websites e.g. Prezi.

3. RESEARCH AND PLANNING (TECHNOLOGY
USED, HOW AND WHY/WHAT FOR??)
 During the stage of research and planning we used a variety of technology
to help with our research and plan our ideas ahead of making the film
opening. Within the computer we used Prezi and blogger to research and
plan our ideas. For example with Prezi we produced certain tasks to help
appeal with the audience and allow us to develop our ideas an example of
this would be our generic conventions work. We also used blogger to keep
track of our research which enabled us to look back and see if we could use
certain ideas. Furthermore, we also used a camera in our research and
planning as we did a video of our Target Audience Interviews. This allowed
us to understand what our target audience preferred with our genre and
what they disliked so then we know how to appeal to them and engage
them in our film opening. Therefore, making the film opening a success
with the Target Audience.

LEARNT)
 I have learnt a lot within the research and planning stage which will
help in the future as in certain aspects I will need the things I have
learnt. Firstly, I learnt how to use blogger as I had never used it before
and it turns out its very useful as it keeps all my work into one blog and
I can look back at my work and see the mark and corrections I need to
make. I learnt how to publish a post onto my blog which was very
important to know as I would be making many publishes during my AS
media coursework. In addition to posting on my blog I learnt how to
view my blog and see the work I have produced. As well as blogger I
learnt how to use Prezi and how to use the different tools within Prezi
and finally how to embed the Prezi onto my blog.

8. CONSTRUCTION-VIDEO (TECHNOLOGY
USED, HOW AND WHY/WHAT FOR??)
 Within the construction stage we used a variety of software that
enabled us to progress and create the final product itself. To begin
with, we used Movie Studio Platinum which enabled us to edit the
video and make it ready to watch. We also used a bit of Photoshop
which allowed us to create a Studio Logo and titles for the film and
then we would have to transfer them over. Furthermore, YouTube was a
large factor which helped with research and planning and also allowed
us to upload our video on our YouTube accounts. For a short period we
used Soundation to create our music and this allowed us to create
tension within the film and made it more realistic.

9. CONSTRUCTION-VIDEO (WHAT I LEARNT)
 I have learnt a lot during the construction stage and this has helped myself to develop on certain aspects
and make parts of the video better than others. I learnt how to edit on Movie Studio Platinum which is a
major factor in creating a successful media product. Adding a filter to the video was a small feature
however I learnt how to add it and the video now has its own unique look. Fading in and out of clips was
used in the first clips and the end, to give it a pristine look and allow the audience to identify the ending
and beginning. I learnt how to do this feature and it has helped majorly as now I can add the fade in and
out into other clips in the future. As we were using YouTube I finally learnt how to upload a video onto
my account so the public can see and watch what I had to share. Following up from uploading videos
onto YouTube it wouldn’t be possible if we hadn’t rendered the video which I had learnt to do while
using Movie Studio Platinum. Linking to slide 2 and 3 I learnt how to embed my work onto my blogger
by copying and pasting the embed code into the HTML section. I learnt how to split a clip into two which
would allow us to get rid of one section or to allow us to get the correct part of the clip we want.
Furthermore, I learnt how to dissolve clips by over lapping them in Movie Studio Platinum. We didn’t use
a dissolve within the video but I had learnt this from the preliminary task and it means I can add it to any
other work in the future. Moving onto hardware, I learnt how to zoom in and out on the camera which
enabled us to shoot the dead body scene and I also learnt how to frame the camera using the tripod
which would allow us to have good framing and not having to edit the framing during the editing stage.
Finally, I learnt how to slow down a clip on Movie Studio Platinum which would allow the video to
breathe. We did this with the panning shot from right to left after feedback from our target audience.

10. EVALUATION (TECHNOLOGY USED,
HOW AND WHY/WHAT FOR?)
 Within the evaluation stage we used a variety of software to evaluate
our piece. We used Prezi, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word and lastly Emaze.
We used all these software to look at our media product and compare
it to our preliminary task or to see how we promote our film. I have
already mentioned Prezi as slide 4 and 5 show how to work it and how
to produce your evaluations. Emaze is very similar to Prezi but was also
good for our evaluation 4. How evaluations will allow us to see what we
did well and how we would improve upon our work if we were asked to
perform the same task of creating a 2 minute film opening.

11. EVALUATION (WHAT I LEARNT)
 From my evaluations I have learnt a few things which can help in
the future. Firstly, within my evaluations I have learnt what was
good and bad about my media product and this will allow myself
to improve upon my work the next time I perform a similar task.
Furthermore, I have learnt how to use Emaze which is similar to
Prezi and it allowed myself to learn another piece of software
which is just as good as Prezi or PowerPoint. Also from my
evaluation I have learnt that I do make mistakes which I can
improve on and therefore produce better work for myself which
will help for the future.

12. CONCLUSION
 In conclusion, I have learnt a variety of things within the research and
planning stage, construction-video stage and the evaluation stage.
Many of which link in with one another but overall I have seen what I
need to improve for next time and have learnt how to use certain
software/websites that will aid myself in the future. I have also learnt
how my media product has become a success and seen how it could be
improved and therefore appeal more to the target audience. Most
importantly I have understood how to use equipment like the camera
and allow myself to use the tripod to get good framings for the film
opening.
