Synthetic Fiber Construction in lab .pptxPavel ( NSTU)
Synthetic fiber production is a fascinating and complex field that blends chemistry, engineering, and environmental science. By understanding these aspects, students can gain a comprehensive view of synthetic fiber production, its impact on society and the environment, and the potential for future innovations. Synthetic fibers play a crucial role in modern society, impacting various aspects of daily life, industry, and the environment. ynthetic fibers are integral to modern life, offering a range of benefits from cost-effectiveness and versatility to innovative applications and performance characteristics. While they pose environmental challenges, ongoing research and development aim to create more sustainable and eco-friendly alternatives. Understanding the importance of synthetic fibers helps in appreciating their role in the economy, industry, and daily life, while also emphasizing the need for sustainable practices and innovation.
The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202

1. QUESTION 6
What have you learnt about technologies
from the process of constructing this product?
2. • During the process of creating my media product I have learnt a lot about
different technologies. I uploaded all my research and planning onto my blog
on Blogger. As this was my first ever experience with a blog I had to learn
how to embed videos, documents and pictures onto my blog as well as
learning how to work with the layout of the blog. When creating the blog I
learnt that keeping all of your work on a blog can help provide a consistent
record of the process involved in creating the product and help to show the
planning/research that has been done. The blog is also a permanent record
of your work, and you cannot lose any of the work that you do. It also
provides easy access from anywhere with an internet connection, such as
your phone or laptop, allowing you to update it wherever you are. The blog
also allows easy planning for the work produced as you can save drafts and
update them as well as embedding pictures to allow it to be visual and for the
work to be easier to understand. I have been able develop my ideas through
the use of the blog as I have been able to see and compare my work to my
research for example I was able to compare my title sequence to the previous
sequences that I have studied e.g. I can see the similarity between the titles I
have created and the titles in the Se7en title sequence.
3. • I used Prezi for some of my evaluation questions, this was my first
time using it yet I still found the software easy to understand as well as it
being a more creative way of displaying my work. It took me longer to make
Prezi’s as I was not as familiar with the software as I was with something
like PowerPoint, however I thought it presented my evaluation more
creatively.
• Alike this question I used Powerpoint to present some of
evaluation, I am familiar with working with Powerpoint
therefore was quicker and more efficient in using Powerpoint
to answer some of my questions.
• In order to display my Powerpoint questions on my blog
I had to use Slideshare to convert them to videos which
could then be uploaded to my blog, I also exported my
Powerpoint as a video for one of my questions
• I also used Youtube to upload videos to my blog such
as uploading my final product as well as uploading the
opening sequences I have analysed during my
research.
4. During the production of the media product we learnt a lot about the technology
involved in creating the footage for example we learnt how to use a HD camera
and learnt how to focus the camera and zoom in and out.
We also learnt how to attach the cameras on to a tripod safely and securely, and
how the tripod need to be level before filming to create an even shot.
• Once we had filmed, we learnt how to upload the
footage onto the editing program Adobe Premiere Pro.
We used this program for the preliminary task to edit our
footage therefore this helped us to understand the
process of editing and how to use different
transitions/effects. However, when we used Premiere for
our final product we built on our knowledge which
allowed the footage to look more professional.
• When using Premiere we also learnt how to edit the audio that we wanted to
use in our film. To do this, you import the audio into Premiere, and drag it onto
the sequence. You then click on the audio section and drag the markers to
where you want the audio to start and end, and then drag the second set of
circular markers to where you want the audio to begin fading in/out. Through
using Premiere I was able to import and edit our footage so that it appeared
seamless and look good. Also, it allowed me to edit out the parts of the footage
that went wrong.
5. • Another piece of technology we used in creating our final film was
copyright/loyalty free music website “Incompetec”. From this website
we were able to download the audio we wanted to use in our film free
of charge. We then imported the audio into our film and edited the
music so that it fit the sequence. The music we used in our film was
called “Come Play with Me” and “Evening of Chaos”.
