On my front cover I
attracted my audience
through a variety of
different features.
This includes my Title,
Pictures and cover lines.

3. Front cover - TitleMy title has attracted and addressed my
audience because it is slang. By using slang
as my title I have addressed a younger
audience that would understand what the
word means. This is the type of audience that
my magazine content is aimed at.
In addition to this I have attracted the
audience with Title as it is bold and block.
This allows it to stand out against the
coloured background and grabs the attention
of the reader.

4. Front cover - Picture
• The picture I have used on my front
cover shows a model looking at the
camera. This addresses my audience
directly and attracts them to the
magazine.
• Furthermore, the model is wearing
clothes associated with the genre of
music that my magazine represents and
the colours used on the picture are
fitting with the theme of my magazine.
• This allows the front cover to reflect on
the magazine genre and attracts the
younger generation audience that my
magazine is aimed at.

On my magazine front cover I have
included a variety of cover lines that
will attract my audience. This is
because I have used the names of
popular chart music artists on my
front cover. I have also put this in a
larger font, allowing it to stand out
from the rest of the text.
This will grab the audiences attention
and could also help to define the
genre of my magazine. This could
attract my audience to the magazine
as they will recognise the popular
music artists.

Sub-headingsThe sub-headings I have used
highlight the important features of
the magazine contents and
summarise certain key aspects of
the magazine. This allows me to
attract my audience to specific
features.
This is important as it tells my
audience the magazine content and
therefore addresses an audience
that would want to read about the
chart music and the music artists.

8. Contents -Images
• I have used a variety of images on my contents page
to attract my audience to particular articles in my
magazine. I have also broken up the text and
complemented the writing by using relevant images.
• The pictures used also contain some well-known
artists of my chosen genre. This will attract the
attention of my audience and highlight the contents
of my magazine.

9. Contents - Layout• The way I have presented my contents page allows me to
attract my audience. This is because of the use of lots of
images and little text together attracts a younger
audience who don’t want to read large paragraphs.
• In addition to this I have again used colours that will
reflect on my music genre.
• I have chosen to do a double page contents page. This is
because it has allowed me to spread things out more and
use more images. This attracts my audience because it
looks like there is less text and this is important when you
are aiming at a younger audience.

consists of the size of my text
as well as the size and use of

and highlights the contents of
that article. It also allows me to
include less writing on the page,
therefore appealing to my target
audience. In addition to this by
using the well known name of a
relevant music artist it attracts
my audience to read the article.

12. DPS - Images• I have used an image to cover the
whole of one page.This has allowed
me to condense the writing to one
side.
• I have only used one image on my
double page spread as this is the
common layout for many magazines
and seems to be popular.
• It allows me to have a smaller amount
of writing which appeals to my
audience. But it also means the page
doesn't look cluttered with images.
• This gives it a tidier, more professional
look.
