Taking a Look at Albert Einstein
Albert Einstein was born on March 14, 1879 in Ulm, Germany to Hermann
Einstein and Pauline Einstein. As he got older, he enrolled into Luitpold
Gymnasium. After they transferred to Italy, he entered Swiss Federal Polytechnic
School in Zurich to be trained as a teacher in physics and mathematics, where he
gained his diploma in 1901. He was also studying his religion, Judaism. Even
though, he earned his diploma he could not find a teaching post so he accepted a
position in the Swiss Patent Office. After he was on track with his position, he
obtained his doctor s degree. During his spare time, while during labor in the
Patent Office, he was able to complete other activities that were rewarded by being
Privatdozent in Berne, in 1909. He became a Professor Extraordinary at Zurich in
1909, and then later on in 1911 he became Professor of Theoretical Physicsat Prague.
In 1914 he was appointed Director of the Kaiser Wilhelm Physical Institute and
Professor in the University of Berlin. He became a United States Citizen in 1940
and later retired from his post in 1945. Einstein was a world leading figure after
World War II; he was given the opportunity to be in the Presidency of the State of
Israel, which he declined. He later on supported and collaborated with Dr. Chaim
Weizmann in establishing the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. One of Einstein s
biggest success subjects was having a clear, understanding view of the problems of
physics and the determination and ability to solve
San Diego Zoo Observation Paper
Visiting the San Diego Zoo I was able to observe and gain a deeper understanding of
the Black Mangabey,Western Lowland Gorillas, and Sumatran Orangutan. Through
my visit I was able to learn more about the different primates, their traits, habitats,
eating habits, and interactions. Thus, allowing myself to gain a visual and up close
understanding of the primates we learned about in class through the lectures.
The first primate I observed at the zoo was the Black Mangabey. The Black
Mangabey is located in the damp forests in the central Congo Basin in Africa(Zoo
Placards Black Mangabey 2015). Furthermore, these monkeys move through all
levels of a forest canopy, seldom coming to the ground (Zoo Placards Black
Mangabey 2015). The Black Mangabeys are not only some of the most rare
monkeys but the most endangered species of monkey(San Diego Zoo Website
2015). The Black crested Mangabeys scientific name is the Lophocebus Aterrimus.
The Black Mangabey is identified by their black hair and the long grayish brown
whiskers that almost cover their ears and a high crest on their head (San Diego Zoo
Website 2015).
The enclosure contained a lot of trees and rope for the Black Mangabeys to climb
and swing around in. There were no leaves on the trees, ... Show more content on

Also the enclosure had a lot of roaming room and resting areas for the great apes.
Seven gorillas populated this exclosure and it was not an exhibit of mixed species.
While I visited the Western Lowland Gorilla I mostly observed them resting.
However there was a small baby in the exhibit which interacted and watched the
visitors while climbing all over its resting mother. After a while the baby started
feeding on it mother and once it was done it climbed on her back as she began to
roam around the enclosure. It was very intriguing to watch the baby interact with its
mother and witness it being

NSA Spying
NSA Spying What is Metadata and What Does the Law Say? Technology is in
everything we do from using our home refrigerator, washer, cellular device,
automobile, and or computer systems. When using certain devices you pass
information to others pertaining to personal and private information. This
information or metadata could be a bank account or credit card number, pin, and
or password that we unconsciously share. We randomly give away this
information at a dentist or doctor s office, the local liquor store, or when we visit
social media sites like Instagram, Facebook, Yahoo, and or Google. This
information is all collected, stored, and tracked by big brother, and what are they
doing with it, is the metadata being secured, American s may never know.
Disturbingly the National Security Agency (NSA) has been collecting metadata on
Americans personal telephones and electronics devices for several years. This
collection was happening before the NSA Analyst Edward Snowden leaked these
facts to the world in late 2013. The NSA was formed in the 1950 s, and during this
time frame the NSA disseminated intelligence information from electronic signals for
foreign and counter intelligence purposes, which supported the American military
needs. Currently the NSA has refocused their spying tactics to technology driven
devices. The NSA has an extensive telephone metadata program, since 2001, and
they collect phone records of virtually all Americans (Lizza, 2013). Email and Social

Steady Fast growth: Panera is one of the fastest growing chains with sales over $200
million in 2001. According to exhibit 2 (Dess pg. 667) Panera Bread in 2002 ranked
with the highest three year sales growth rates as of June 2004. Panera Bread has
about 1,027 baker cafes in the United States, and is widely recognized for driving the
nationwide trend for specialty breads. This is very impressive for this type of fast

Panera Bread has a great opportunity in this era for even more profitability.
Customers growing demands for customized meals: Customers love options and want
to customize their menus. Panera Bread serves 18 kinds of breads, bagels,
muffins, scones, rolls and sweet goods, made to order sandwiches, hearty soups,
custom roasted coffees, and cafe beverages such as espresso and cappuccino drinks.
The company needs to continue in ensuring they are satisfying and meeting changing
customer preferences.
More global opportunities: Panera Bread has y more chances to operate
internationally. There are tremendous opportunities in other countries besides those
they are currently operating. For example, the expansion of markets in China, Japan
and India are other opportunities that Panera Bread can take advantage of because
these countries have a rapid growing economy with numerous openings for Panera.
Threats
Extremely Competitive Industry: The restaurant industry is an extremely competitive
industry with existing companies planning major expansion efforts and new
restaurants opening daily. They are approximately 8 million restaurants in the world
and about 300,000 restaurant companies. With high competition, a mature market, a
decline in the supply of workers, and low profit margins, this is a difficult industry to
excel in. (Dess)

Examples Of Justice In The Scottsboro Boys
The scottsboro boys were a group of young black boys on a train. Then they got into
a fight with a couple white boys on the train and threw them off . Next two young
white woman that were also riding the train said they raped them and sent the boys

The central ideas of justice develop throughout the book by when the boys are first
put on trial to when the boys are released or died.Based on the definition of justice
and my beliefs justice means that everyone gets the same thing and is treated
equally. The scottsboro boys did not receive justice when they were first trialed but
in the end they did receive justice and some of the boys were set free. The

This time, however, Judge Horton was removed from the case and replaced with
Judge William Callahan, well known for being a traditional, old school jurist. As
Patterson said of Callahan, He couldn t get us to the chair fast enough. Indeed,
Callahan showed his colors when, after the evidence against Patterson was presented
to he charged them with the following instructions: Where the woman charged to
have been raped, as in this case, is a white woman, there is a very strong presumption
under the law that she will not and did not yield voluntarily to intercourse with the
defendant, a Negro. And this is true whatever the station in life the prosecutrix may
occupy, whether she be the most despised, ignorant and abandoned woman of the
community, or the spotless virgin and daughter of a prominent home of luxury
Theme Of Materialistic Love In My Last Duchess
Unlike the sensual approach which Keats took on for his poems, La Belle Dame
sans Merci and The day is gone, and all its sweets are gone ; My Last Duchess
presents love in a negative light through the description of the Duke s materialistic
and misogynistic nature. This is evident when the narrative persona describes the
painting of the Duchess as, The depth and passion of its earnest glance . Browning
uses the abstract nouns depth and passion to portray the materialistic nature of the
Duke. Instead of cherishing the Duchess when she was alive, he is seen to be
treasuring the painting of her due to its value. This is reinforced with the impersonal
pronoun, its as it signifies that the Duke has objectified the Duchess, thus treating...

While the narrative persona in My Last Duchess demands his wife to devote her love
to him, the protagonist of La Belle Dame sans Merci devotes himself to the woman he
loves even though the love is unrequited. This is evident through the repetition of the
line On the cold hill side. throughout the poem. The noun phrase cold hill suggests
that the knight is lonely and depressed when he waits for the woman solely, however
unlike the narrative persona of My Last Duchess , he would not demand the woman
to love him instead he would wait patiently until the day his affection towards her is
accepted. Subsequently, through the knight s patience in waiting for the woman he
favours, Keats highlights the strong affection he has for the

Five Database Trends That Will Take the Spotlight This Year
There s no getting around the fact that we are in the data age. Data is coming at us
from all directions, and in all sorts of shapes and sizes. As technology leaders, we re
tasked with answering complex questions like: How are we going to process all this
information? How can we make it more accessible? And how will we benefit from it?
To further complicate things, new technologies and trends are coming out of the
woodwork everyday. Hundreds of incumbents and startups alike are adding new
features, building on top of emerging open source projects, and claiming to be the
next big thing. Within the Hadoop ecosystem, there are (at least) eleven open source
projects alone. And making sense of it all is the last thing you want spend your spare
time on.
To help bring some clarity and peace of mind, we ve compiled a list of data trends
and movements that you can expect to see in 2015, and withstand for the long term.
Here are the five database trends that will take the spotlight this year:
In Memory Computing Becomes Widespread
Dropping prices, undisputed performance, and untapped business value will drive the
widespread adoption of in memory computing.
Microsoft recently announced it s G series for cloud instances that go up to 32 cores

Racial Discrimination In The Merchant Of Venice
Everything is not as it seems. In other words, Don t judge a book by its cover. This
message is applicable to racial discrimination and stereotypes. For example, from the
1200s to the 1600s, Europeans discriminated against Jews extensively. This was most
prominent in Venice and England. Jews were forced to live on an island called the
Ghetto in Venice and were cruelly oppressed throughout history in the Italian city.. In
the 1200s, Jewswere banned from England. Finally, they started to come back in the
1600s but had limitations because they were known for their high intelligence
compared to the English, as well as in Venice. In Venice they were only allowed to be
usurers, or loaners that demand high rates of interest, which is something... Show

Whoever chooses the right one may wed Portia. The Prince of Morocco chooses the
gold casket because never so rich a gem was set in worse than gold. (2.7.60 61) He
says that no one is more beautiful than Portia and compares her to gold. Based on
that comparison, he chooses the gold casket.. However, when he opens the casket
he reads that All that glitters isn t gold...had you been wise as bold, young in
limbs, in judgement old. (2.7.73 79) These quotes show that the casket story
directly supports the message (one must not judge by the cover to have pure
judgement) and supports the motive that Shakespeare has in mind for this play.
Also, Bassanio is one of the protagonists of the play, and he tries to wed Portia. He
chooses the lead casket because it had an inner beauty, though the outside was ugly.
Obviously, the lead casket is the right one and the casket inside has a message that
says You that choose not by the view chance as fair and choose as true. (3.2.135 136)
This further shows that Shakespeare wants the audience to learn to not judge by
appearance, and to be humble because one who judges thinks highly of themselves.
Thus, this play is not Anti Semitic because all the characters act abusively towards
Shylock just because he is a Jew. They judge him by the outside and do not look at
the inner qualities of Shylock. Also, if Shakespeare used this theme as his main
motive then he is trying to indirectly demote Anti Semitism. If

My Family At Toys R Us For Her Daughter s 8th Birthday
When I visited my Aunt in Concord not too far outside of the San Francisco, I
accompanied her in buying a present at Toys R Us for her daughter s 8th birthday.
When entering the store it gave a very exciting and bright atmosphere. The colors
were very vibrant with shelves upon shelves of different types of toys. The colors
at the front seemed to have a combination of all the different colors and seemed to
keep a neutral environment. The store had many places for kids to wonder such as a
video game section, different toy sections that were separated into types of toys, and
the older kid sections which included bikes, scooters, tri wheelers, and push carts
which were just for the parents to use to push their toddlers around.
The entire ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This obviously is to intrigue the boy who shows interest in explosions and people
fighting off monsters to save the Earth. For the bigger toys in these sections, I noticed
that the toys meant for boys had many toys that suggested they should pretend to be
different super heroes. In this section even though many heroins had similar colors to
the men, there were no girl super heroes in this section despite having many batman
and superman toys.
When walking into the girl isles of the toy store, the type of toys completely
changed. When walking in the isles I noticed that the colors obviously changed to
pink and purple. The type of toys in these isles completely contrasted the toys meant
for the boys. Toys meant for girls usually comprised of barbie dolls, flowers, and
many color books of princesses. Most toys in this section suggested tea parties and
playing house. Many of the toys also promoted little girls to wear aprons and to
bake cookies and other meals for fun. One of the interesting things about this isle
however were how they had more Life size toys than the boys. The life size toys
were usually barbie dolls where they could dress up the toy in the girls actual
clothing to see what the barbie doll would look like. Another thing that I noticed was
that most of the toys were very similar to one another because the girl isles
comprised of different types of dolls rather than
Sustainability And Its Impact On Sustainability Essay
Sustainability is a growing concern for many individuals and companies as resources
are becoming increasingly limited, hazardous, and expensive. Over the last few years,
more people have been informed about sustainable options, which have been easier to
obtain and contribute to, as well as wanting to purchase more sustainable options
from companies. Since the idea of sustainabilityis so broad, everyone can contribute
in a way they feel is most beneficial. Whether individuals and companies are giving
back for personal or self regarding reasons, it is still helping give back to the
environment and provide a more sustainable future.
Since sustainability is such a broad term that it can be hard to define or categorize.
According to the Cambridge Dictionary, a generalized definition for sustainability is
the ability to continue at a particular level for a period of time. While that is a broad
overcast of a definition, there are really three pillars of sustainability that can be
explored and contributed towards: Economic Development, Social Development, and
Environmental Protection. The only pillar that seems to focus on giving back is
Environmental Protection. This pillar encompasses recycling, composting, reducing
usage of energy resources, or just by taking a walk to save on gas for individuals.
Companies must do much more to provide an impact to the protection of the
environment.
Individuals, on average, tend to have more sustainable options for personal reasons,
instead of

Theme Of The Invisible Man And Those Who Walk Away
From...
The great hope of society is in individual character William Ellery Channing. Within
the literary pieces The Invisible Man by H.G. Wells and Those Who Walk Away
From Omelas by Ursula Le Guin, the depiction of various motivations amongst a
jovial society is created to cause a better understanding of the individual. By using
psychoanalytical criticism, it allows the reader to gather insight about the main
character in order to connect with them as well as understand the author s intentions.
For most individuals, their motivations are greed and self actualization. Amongst this
time of H.G. Wells creating this novel, there was a philosophy that there was a
scientific relationship between genius and mental illness (Stiles, 1). Which in the
novel The Invisible
Man, depicts a horrific scientist that experiments on himself and destroys anything
that steps in the path of his desires. Griffin is first illustrated as a very secretive
stranger that is revealed to be an angered, faultfinding, and stubborn lab rat. Within
the passage Griffin explains I robbed the old man robbed my father. (106) Griffin was
controlled by the desire to become invisible and to explore new things. For
example, when Griffin lacked finances, he did not hesitate to steal from his very own
father. This served as one of the very first acts of his greed to fulfil his desires to get
a step closer to invisibility. H.G. Wells portrayed Griffin as a cruel individual that
seeks a sense of fulfilment and

Many times prophecies were made and fulfilled, leading the readers to believe that
supernatural forces God or otherwise were present in the unfolding of the story.
When Booth was born, his mother believed the flames in the fire spelled
COUNTRY, and so she believed that he would have a great effect on America.
Also, as a teenager, Booth had a fortune teller predict his future. When she looked
at the may crossed lines on his palms she became worried and predicted he would
die young but famous. Both of these prophecies were fulfilled in Booth s life. At
the White House, just days before his assassination, Lincoln had a dream. In the
dream, he had died been shot and killed and was lying in a large curtained coffin in
the Green Room. This too came true. In response to these occurrences, I cannot
really judge whether they are true or false. I generally consider supernatural events
to be unlikely, though I would not deem them impossible. Considering the specific
events in the story however, I believe the word in the flames and the supposed
fortune actually specifically influenced Booth s life, instead of being signs of divine
future seeing. Also, I believe that Lincoln s dream, aside from being somewhat
concerning, was just a coincidence and was probably caused by the rational long
term fear the entire Lincoln family had of being
When Gangs Infiltrate our Armed Forces Essay
Throughout the world there are groups that are known for their deviant behavior.
These delinquent groups at times become a major threat due t their actions. In the
United States they are called gangs. As they are continuously putting the safety of
our communities in danger, what can be done when they infiltrate our Armed Force?
Stopping gang members and their affiliates from joining the military must become a
top priority. And even more importantly, they must be weeded out of the military.
Generally, gangs are seen to be in urban areas. Lately there has been an influx of
gang culture spreading into suburban areas. One reason that can be seen for this is
the media. Violent lifestyles are glamorized in TV and the music that is listened...

In order to join some criminal groups, initiates are sometimes expected to beat, rob
or kill people. Other cases force initiates to be beaten by current members without
fighting back or defending themselves; while there is also the tradition of the
person wishing to become a part of the gang having to fight multiple members of
the gang. In both of those cases there is a set amount of time that the things
happen. And for female initiates, they may be forced to go through the violent
rituals as the men, but there is the possibility that she will be required to have sex
with multiple members of the gang. Many people are known to join gangs as a
way to feel acceptance. In doing this there is a sense of belonging, and the belief
that one s well being will be cared about. And that if anything were to come up,
help would be there if ever needed. Others join as a way for protection. Violence is
becoming more of the American culture, and it is only becoming worse. High
schools are a prime example of this. Students act out in violent fits of rage for
questionable reasons. Rather than merely fight someone one on one, they have
their friends help them against their adversary. To many people this is considered
cowardice, yet to them it is more of a form of protection. Not only that, it is a way
to send a message that if one person is affected, everyone in the gang is affected.
When each member is affected there is bound to be tragic

There are two sources of the industry wide of competitive advantage, including cost
advantage and differentiation advantage (Grant, paage178). From my analysis,
Mondavi can apply both sources to use with its products, but it should use one
competitive advantage at a time. For instance, according to exhibit 4 in Jug and pop
pre segments, Woodbridge should be applied to the cost advantage because the price
competition in this type of wine was very aggressive at that time. Thus, the company
has to reduce costs to compete with other competitors. However, referring to exhibit 4
in luxury prem segment, the company should apply the differentiation advantage for
Robert Mondavi (RM)Winery and RM Coastal Private Selection because these two
brands target the high end customers caring for the quality rather than the price.
According to the Porter s generic strategies (Grant, page 178), the company does not
in the scope of a single segment; therefore, the industry wide method would be a
suitable one for the company. For this reason, the company has to separate the brands
of wine before
Consumer Behaviour Identity And Identity
Introduction To understand consumer behaviour is an important process as it allows
marketers to comprehend better the reason why an individual choose to select,
purchase and use a good or service to satisfy their needs and wants based on his or her
buying tendencies and spending patterns. The analysis of consumer behaviour
requires the consideration of various processes, internal and external factors for the
individual. Both internal and external factors of an individual are required necessary
for the analysis of consumer behaviour, as well as examining the complex interaction
of many influencing elements, such as personal and cultural influences, which
includes identity (Moutinho 1987). Identity plays a vital part in the unsustainable...

These personal and collective identities more often could be contributed by different
categories, such as age, gender, race, nationality, religiosity, then further from
political views, career and of course wealth and social status. Identity also
manifested in conventional social roles, norms, mores, and status quo expectations
(Bristor and Fischer 1993). Identity is what the consumer believes, it is what gives
them the sense of positive self esteem affiliation and distinctiveness, self verification,
and self affirmation (Escalas 2013), and these would affect his or her choice in
consuming a good or a service when a case is required to make between different
products in the market. Each consumer has his or her own unique, distinctive identity,
yet on the other hand, they share so many similarities sometimes, and it would form a
collective identity. Collective identity is shared among group of people who often

investments depleted entirely.
The questions are: how will a trader identify and avoid those scammers? What are
the best practices to keep your investment safe in the hands of a good broker?

How Cameras Changed America
The first camera was invented by Alhazen around 1000 AD. It was called the
Camera Obscura (Pinhole Camera). Since then there have been huge advances in
the camera world, with over 400 cameras have been made. Pictures are a big and
influential part in people s lives. From Social Media to books, and news, cameras
have truly changed America.
The first camera, Camera Obscura use a pinhole lens to project an image of the scene
upside down onto a viewing surface. As cameras advanced the Kodak camera was
created by George Eastman and went on the market in 1888. It was simple box
camera with a single shutter speed and fixed focus lens. With furthering technology,
the first DSLR (digital single release lens reflex) camera was created in 1991 by

Cameras are everywhere and are hard to escape from. One downside to large
amounts of cameras is how easy photographs can be taken. Every phone has a
camera which allows you to apply on it, and the cameras are increasing in strength
and clarity all the time. There are new apps that you can get filters and create
special effects with the pictures. It makes it looks like everybody can be a
photographer. It is taking away from the real photographers that have talent and
experience. They have to prove themselves and be unique upon all the different
pictures to keep their business alive and thriving. It makes it harder for them to look
like professionals and pushes them to work
My Grandparents In Puerto Ricans
My grandparents were both born and raised in Cidra, Puerto Rico and so were their
three children. They wanted to start a new beginning. Though the exact date is
forgotten my grandparents moved to Cleveland, Ohio sometime in 1989. My
grandparents were very poor when they lived in Puerto Rico since there were not
many job opportunities and barely any resources, my grandparents could barely
make ends meet. They wanted to give their children to have more opportunities and
resources that they didn t have when they were younger, so they decided to leave
their home in Cidra. They choose to move to Cleveland because they already had
some familydown here such as brothers, sisters, and even cousins. When my
grandparents got to Cleveland they already knew they made the right decision for
their family, Cleveland gave them a more stable life then what they had in Puerto
Rico. There were better educated schools in Cleveland for their children unlike in
Puerto Rico, the food in Cleveland was way more affordable, medicine as well, and it
was easier to find jobs that paid well.
The first migration wave for Puerto Ricans came in 1917 when almost 2,000
people went to New York. Another wave of Puerto Ricans traveled to New York in
the 1940s. Similar to my family, the Puerto Ricans went to New York to have fresh
starts and to find new opportunities to better themselves. They were also looking for
jobs since there was a very high unemployment rate in Puerto Rico that still somewhat
exists today.
Symbolism In Anton Chekhov s The Cherry Orchard
In Anton Chekhov s The Cherry Orchard, the plot follows the Ranyevskaya family
trying to cope with the inevitable auction of their beloved orchard and home.
Throughout the play, it is evident that the Ranyevskaya s mourn, not only the loss of
their orchard, but also the loss of a part of themselves. The cherry orchardin Chekhov
s work is really a symbol of the Ranyevskaya s past, and each time they refuse to
accept that the orchard will be cut down is another moment they spend living in
the past. The play commences with the return of Liubov Ranyevskaya from Paris,
and it is already clear that Liubov has lost all of her money the family is in dire
need of financial assistance. Despite this, she still looks to her home and cherry
orchard as though they will always be there for her, money or no. Lopakhin begins
to encourage them to sell: Lopakhin: ...All you ve got to do is clear out the old
cherry orchard, plus that land down by the river, and subdivide! ...I swear that ll
bring you in twenty five thousand a year, maybe more. Liubov: ...Cut down the
cherry orchard? My dear man, you don t understand! Our cherry orchard is a
landmark! It s famous for miles around! Gayev: ...Our cherry orchard is mentioned in
the encyclopedia! Lopakhin: We have to think of something to do and then do it.
Otherwise the cherry orchard will be sold at auction on August twenty second, this
house and all the land with it (Chekhov 399).

Tissues Project
There are 4 types of tissue in our body. They are the epithelial, connective, nervous, and
muscular tissue.Epithelial covers the whole surface of the body.It occurs on the
surfaces on the interior of the body. The cells are packed tightly together. There are six
types of epithelial tissue which are simple squamous ,simple cuboidal ,simple
columnar ,stratified columnar ,stratified cuboidal ,pseudostratified
columnar.Epithelial tissue is usually separated from the tissue by a thin sheet of
connective tissue. The connective tissue is a group of tissues in the body that
maintains the form of the body and its organs. It provides cohension and internal
support. The connective has 7 types of tissue. They are loose connective tissue, fibrous
tissue,bone tissue,cartilage,adipose tissue,and blood tissue.The nervous tissue is is
specialised to react to stimuli. Its also conduct impulses to various organs in the
body. There are only two types of nervous tissue, neuron and neuroglial. The neuron are
easily stimulated and transmit impulses very rapidly. They are not sensitive to
stimuli. They do not conduct nerve impulses. The main function of the muscular
system is movement. The three types of muscular tissue is cardiac, skeletal, and
smooth.Cardiac muscle tissue shows some of the characteristics of smooth and of
skeletal. The skeletal is attached to and bring about the movement of the various
bones of the skeleton.Smooth is made up of thin elongated muscle cells, which are
called fibres.

Computer Science That Has Evolved From Pattern
Recognition...
Machine Learning is a sub discipline of Computer Science that has evolved from
Pattern Recognition and Computational Learning Theory. ML is akin to Data Mining
in the sense that both approaches look for patterns in the data set and while the
former trains the program to better its understanding, the latter focuses on extraction
of data for human comprehension. A typical application employing ML would
involve the design and construction of an algorithm where the program is trained
through huge samples of historical data to create a model. This model is later utilized
on real time data sets to predict what happens next. While Machine Learningitself has
been around for decades, it has found itself into reckoning with the advent of Big...

unbelievably low costs.
With massive data at disposal comes the huge potential to analyze this data to draw
inferences or predict future events. But why exactly is Machine Learning moving
to the cloud? A compelling reason to move to the cloud would be the varying
computational requirements in the ML lifecycle. The process of training

while the process of utilizing your trained models does not require any resources.
The varying workload of the ML lifecycle makes it an ideal candidate for the cloud.
Cloud Computing is a powerful technology that allows complex computations on
massive scale data by eliminating the need to maintain dedicated storage space or
maintain expensive hardware. Also it follows intuitively to train your models in
the cloud where the data is stored. Prior to the advent of cloud based ML platforms,
the only way to do advanced analytics was to purchase packages such as SAS or IBM

more accessible to a large group of users who intend to deploy predictive models in
order to enhance their products or services.

Multicultural Communication
Explain multicultural communication and its origins.
As travel and communication have become faster and easier, interaction between
people of different cultures has become more and more common. It was once the case
that different cultures remained mostly separate from each other, whether due to war,
geographic reasons, or beliefs in keeping ethnic purity. Trade and immigration have
brought together people of diverse cultures and backgrounds, making communication
between people of different cultures unavoidable.

Discuss family culture and its effect on patient education.
The role and definition of family can vary from one culture to another. Generally
speaking, the culture in the United States places a lot of emphasis on individuality
and personal freedom. In many cultures, the family unit has a very strict and
defined hierarchy. Often the Father is seen as the head of the household and is
responsible for much of the decision making. This can include decisions
concerning the health care of a family member. It could also result in reluctance for
the head of the family to place himself in a position of relying on others for care, a
perceived position of weakness. In many cultures, the family goes beyond the nuclear
family, and extends to the community, friends and neighbors. These are strongly held
beliefs, and we must refrain from judging them as right or wrong based on our own
culture. Rather, weneed to find ways to work within the framework of the family
structure of the patient. ( Falvo, pp.186 187)
List some approaches the health care professional can use to address religious and
cultural diversity.
We must approach the patient and their family with an attitude of caring, empathy,
and respect. We can explain that we would be happy to learn of the patients needs
and concerns, and of any accommodations we can make so they will feel comfortable

The Cave Paintings Of Chauvet Pont D Arc Cave
The cave paintings of Chauvet Pont D Arc are one of the oldest prehistoric sites in
the world. It is located in the Ardeche region of southern France. Chauvet Pont D
Arc cave was only discovered as recently as 1994. Jean Marie Chauvet and his team
of cavers just happened to stumble upon it when they removed a rumble of stones
that blocked the passageway (Introduction to the Cave). This is such an
extraordinary piece of art history due to the time period and what it can tell us about
our history. Through the rich history, to the art inside the caves, and the
interpretation of what it means, Chauvet Pont D Arc cave it is nothing less then a
story that has to be told. When you walk into the 400 hundred meter long cave, it has
enormous chambers. The floor is scattered of archaeological and paleontological
remains, including the skulls and bones of cave bears, which hibernated there, along
with the skulls of an ibex and two wolves. Bears also left remains of scratch marks
and immeasurable amount of footprints (Clottes, Chauvet). In 1998, the distinguished
prehistorian Dr. Jean Clottes headed the first research team in Chauvet Cave, under
great security. Chauvet Cave s importance is based on two factors: firstly, the
aesthetic quality of these Paleolithic cave paintings, and secondly, their great age.
With one exception, all of the cave art paintings have been dated between 30,000
33,000 years ago (Introduction to the Cave). These fascinating images of animals

Advantages And Disadvantages Of 4g Communication
INTRODUCTION :
Wireless communication is the transfer of information over a distance without the
use of enhanced electrical conductors or wires . The distances involved may be short
(a few meters as in television remote control) or long (thousands or millions of
kilometers for radio communications). When the context is clear, the term is often
shortened to wireless . It encompasses various types of fixed, mobile, and portable
two way radios, cellular telephones, Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs), and wireless
networking. 1895, Guglielmo Marconi opened the way for modern wireless
communications by transmitting the three dot Morse code for the letter S over a

Something Whispered in the Shakuhachi
The Love song of J. Alfred Prufrock and Something Whispered in the Shakuhachi are
poems written by T.S. Eliot and Garrett Hongo correspondently. Both poems put a
great emphasis on the depiction of the narrator s emotion. The poems are focused on
feelings and emotions of their narrators. At the same time, it should noted that a lot of
attractive in both poems is given to the setting. In fact, the setting plays an important
role to both poems. It is clear that it helps to get a better understanding of their main
themes, as well as the tone and atmosphere of the poems.
T.S. Eliot s poem The Love song of J. Alfred Prufrockis dedicated to the theme of
loneliness and alienation. The narrator of the poem is a middle aged man who has
low self esteem and is full of pessimism person. He invites us to a small journey
though the poem during which he describes his emotion, the people he sees and his
surroundings. From his descriptions, we can know that he is not satisfied with his
life because he thinks life made him dull and bored. In addition, it seems that nothing
in the world brings pleasure to the narrator. Nothing brings him positive emotions.
It is worth to consider that the setting plays an important role in the poem and
contributes to its main theme. As we can see, the action of the poem takes place in
the evening, and in the dirty place of the city that
The Theme Of Love In The Scarlet Ibis By James Hurst
Love is unconditional within a family and should come without seeing any flaws
one may have. Each and every individual is given the ability to love, however not all
have the strength and courage to embrace it. Love is the most important aspect of
life, but not all can accept an individual s differences. James Hurstexpresses this
hardship in his story The Scarlet Ibis. Hurst displays the importance of acceptance
between two brothers, Brother and Doodle. Doodle is born with a disability that sets
him apart from other children his age. Brother cannot accept the fact that his little
brother is different, causing him to feel that he needs to make his brother normal .

Brother gains confidence in Doodle, and now believes in his own ability to do
nothing wrong. In Old Woman Swamp, Brother also creates a development program
for Doodle. Brother and Doodle s relationship is beginning to flourish, Doodle and I
spent lots of time thinking about our future. We decided that when we were grown
we d live in Old Woman Swamp and pick dog tongue for a living...Mama and
Daddy could come and live with us if they wanted to. He even came up with the
idea that he could marry Mama and I could marry Daddy (Hurst 4). The daily trips
Doodle and Brother take to Old Woman Swamp together slowly strengthen their
bond. The beauty of Old Woman Swamp allows Doodle to imagine a perfect world.
His innocence causes him to not understand that his idea of a perfect world is
never going to become a reality. Brother is old enough to know everything Doodle
is imagining is a lie, but the picture he is painting is so serene, that all Brother
could think to do was to agree. Doodle cherishes every second he has with his older

Fall Of Oedipus Rex
Carved into the entrance of the Oracle at Delphi are two phrases, words of advice
and caution for Know yourself and Nothing too much . Delphi plays an important
part in the story of Oedipus, the oracle is where the all important prophecy is twice
delivered and where the kings of Thebes seek solutions for the people s torments.
Oedipuss fatal flaw is that by seeking to fulfill his duty as king and his own natural
curiosity he has learned too much about himself.
These closing lines follow the same general path as the play itself. First it regresses
to Oedipus s cleverness and strong leadership of Thebes, reminding the audience of
the great king he had been before his fall.
Dwellers in native Thebes, behold this Oedipus
Who solved the famous riddle, was your mightiest man.
What citizen on his lot did not with envy gaze?
In class, we ve talked about how Aristotle viewed the tragedy as the way in which
the average Athenian could feel horrific and extreme emotions they could not in
their daily lives, so they could leave feeling cleansed. Oedipus Rex would infect its
spectators with a sense of dread of the inevitable reveal to Oedipus of his true
parentage. People like to feel dread in their entertainment. As they say everyone loves

she meets an aunt she had never met, Maire. With her help, Rio discovers things that
she never would have even imagined, such as what her familyhid from her and who

Rio was my favorite character because she was brave. When her sister left, she was
willing to do whatever it would take to find out why she left and to see her again.
She was also brave enough to try and find a way to get to the Above to see her sister

The first one was Maire, in a sense. Although she wasn t fully evil, she was a siren,
which meant that she was able to use her voice to make people do things that they
wouldn t normally do, which put her in a position of power over Rio. She didn t
always use her voice in a way that would harm others, but she rarely used it for
good. The other bad guys in the story were Nevio the new minister and the council.
They plotted to get rid of Rio s mother Oceana so that Nevio could take over as the
minster of Atlantia.
The story mainly took place in Atlantia. Atlantia is thousands of feet below sea
level in the ocean. It is in connected bubbles. A small part of the story took place in
the Above. The Above is a lot like our world, but more run down. It is also an
island. The people in the Above worked hard to support the Below and were sick
much more often than the people in the Below, who don t work nearly as hard. There
are more Aboves and Belows, but they aren t talked about in the book. The Below in
this book is much more luxurious than the
Norman F. Cantor s The Black Plague
Norman F. Cantor, a well known author who is a native of Canada. Majority of
Cantor s papers have to deal with the medieval period. In the beginning of this
book, Cantor begins to describe how the black plague began and the symptoms of
the black plague. The black plague was also known as the Black Death. Many have
their own thoughts about how the plague started, but Cantor explains his thoughts
throughout the first section of this book. According to Cantor, the plague started
from a tiny flea. The black plague is thought to have started in Asia and spread
through trade. Shipyards were filthy during the medieval period, which made it
perfect for rodents and rats to live on the ships. Rats were perfect carriers for fleas.
The fleas would live off the rats. Once the ships would enter a new harbor the rats
would get off the ship and invade the new town. The town the ships would dock in
towns that might not have been invaded, but after a ship full of diseased rats ran off
throughout the town, the town was then infected with the black plague. Before long
the rats were not the only carriers of this dreadful disease. House cats were
beginning to carry the black plague. The fleas from the rats would attach to cats and
then the cats would go to their home and then before long the residents of that house
would be infected. Also Cantor talks about the symptoms of the Black Death. If one
would begin to breakout with a fever, headache, abdominal pain, chills, weakness, and
shock, then

Classic Car

James Bond s 1964 Aston Martin DB5. It is the classic car best known for
representation in movies and is recognizable across the world of vehicle
enthusiasts. It has left its mark on history. The same can be said for the Mercedes
1957 300SL Gullwing, a production car that was one of the fastest and most eye
catching vehicles of its time. Indeed, these types of classic cars are from a bygone era.
Today, they are auctioned off for millions of dollars and stand as a heritage of a
different period. However, they are not alone in this mission. There are hundreds if
not thousands of cars that can be considered classic, with many being far less
cumbersome on a bank account to own. In fact, ones like Austin s 1961 Mini Cooper
S, for instance, are miniaturized versions of some of their bigger brothers. The Mini
has served as an ever growing symbol of the classic car era, with over 5,000,000
international sales of its iterated versions.
Whether you are interested in the loud V12s and beautiful aesthetics, or the more
compact and purposeful classic cars, the bottom line is that by investing in a
classic car, you are investing in a slice of history and in a slice of art. While today
there has become a culture of upgrading and tuning more widely available and cheap
production cars, there is still that pure hearted, nostalgic interest in the art of old. Yet,
the goal amongst these two different groups is the same: they are there to admire and
appreciate
Rock Music History
Rock music has been very popular for years. Now a day s rock has blended in with
the other types of popular music like pop, country and rap. However, none of these
other types of music seemed to have as big an impact on people that rock did.
Rock n roll, basically controlled the most of the twentieth century, with an entire era
of children, teens and young adults to follow. But, where did rock come from?
What is rock music, what started it? How did parents react? Rock n roll original
started along the Mississippi River Valley (image right, Dennison). The music spread
up and down the river, along the railroads and highways that ran near the river
(Allen). It also traveled through Tennessee, Illinois, Cumberland and the Missouri
rivers also known as the tributaries (Allen). The reason... Show more content on

It has to do with the beats, melody, elements and rhythm that make up the music.
Those are the things that separate music from noise. Though, if you listen to early
rock like Maybellene by Chuck Berry and What a Wonderful World by Louis
Armstrong it is a little more clearly. When it comes to rock and jazz in specific;
they are influenced by different properties around them. Even though jazz and rock
are inspired by different things; they are still more alike than to any other type of
music. However, they share one distinct difference. In jazz, it uses a shuffle rhythm
and rock does not (Kajanova 13). What that means is that the same rhythmic values
in rock are used in subtle shifts and digressions to enhance the relax feel of the
music; along with an essence and easiness, that s why jazz and rock are different
(Kajanova 13). Musical ideas of rock and jazz came from components that came from
European folk and stylized dances that were changed into country music. From there
it was changed into rhythm and blues and jazz, and lastly it was imported into rock
Dr Jekyll And Hyde In The Strange Case Of Dr. Jekyll And...
Every human being consists of qualities that form to either their good or bad side.
No one is purely good or evil. To try to fit in society, people are willing to do
whatever it takes to hide any characteristics that might fall short of the social norm.
In Robert Louis Stevenson s novella, The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde,
the characters demonstrate how every human being consists of both qualities and
how people suppress the qualities that are undesired by society in order to fit in.
However, after a while people can no longer stand to hide part of who they are which
leads people to substance use to take away their conscience in order to show their
dark side.

People would rather be miserable and pretend to be someone else, than risk judged
for who they really are. In the novella, Stevenson uses Dr. Jekyll s experiment to
show how far people are willing to go to be freed from judgment of society. Dr.
Jekyll conducted an experiment that split his personality into two people, the good
and evil side of him. Dr. Jekyll knew he was risking his life before he started but he
thought it would be worth it to get to be the other side of him for once. I hesitated
long before I put this theory to the test of practice. I knew well that I risked death.
(57) Dr. Jekyll was willing to risk everything to experience his other side. When Dr.
Jekyll drank his chemical solution, he transformed into Mr. Hyde. Mr. Hyde was
completely free to be evil without his conscience telling him it was wrong. No one
really knew who Mr. Hyde was so he had no reason to fear judgment from others.
He was completely free to act as himself. This relates to the real world in that
people use drugs and alcohol to transform into their dark side. When using drugs or
drinking alcohol, your body loses all control over your consciousness. The
substances are more powerful and led people to do things they would normally not
even think they are capable of and might regret when experiencing withdrawal of the
Similarities Between Confucianism And Ancient China
Religious and political ideas have served as the fundamental foundation to many early
civilizations and settlements and Ancient China is no exception. The texts of the Ta
HsГјeh and the Chung Yung clearly details some ideas and concepts of early
Confucianism in Ancient China. These early Confucian ideas and concepts from the
two texts, in many ways reflect the political, intellectual, and social context of ancient
China. Although Confucianismis no long as prominent as it was during the times of
ancient China, it is important to understand these concepts and how later Chinese
Dynasty adopted it. Confucianism has developed and influenced modern China and
also other East Asian cultures, customs, and heritages. The origins of Confucianism
are often disputed among historians and philosophers and many believe the myth of
Confucius developing Confucianism all in his lonesome. Confucius was born in the
historical state of Lu at a time when Zhou Dynastic power was crumbling. The Zhou
Dynastyhas started to lose control and Ancient China erupted into a struggle for
power. Many ruling elites craved for unification thus granting them total control of
the Zhou household, known as the Warring States Period. Confucius believed the
founders of the Zhou Dynasty had established a well developed government and
principled actions, but he only kept seeing war and greed among the rivaling states
around him, grasping for leadership and power. As the Spring Autumn Periods of the

The Appalachian Mountain Culture In James Still s River
Of...
The Appalachian mountain range is known for its vibrant music, coal mines, and
food, and Appalachian literature is full of mountain culture and history. James Still s
River of Earth centers around the life of an Appalachian family struggling between
an independent life as farmers, and the uncertain promise of prosperity offered by
coal mining camps. On the other hand, Gurney Norman s Divine Rights Trip takes
place in the 1960s chronicling the life of a hippie who travels across the country and,
eventually, back to the mountains. In the novels, the mother is the caretaker of her
son, the protagonist, and Estelle begins as D.R. s caretaker; the elements of fiction
and the sense of place contribute to these two females and an understanding of the
main characters. The main characterof River of Earth is a young boy whose name is
never revealed to the reader. Since the story is told from the main character s point
of view, the reader sees how the narrator changes through his own eyes. For instance,
the narrator s sense of identity leads to his change. In the novel, the reader observes
how the narrator identifies with his mother s way of life rather than his fathers. His
observations of their familydynamics lead to his decision to become a horse doctor.
However, after dealing with the colt s birth and the corn cob stuck in the cow s throat
the narrator is still squeamish towards that profession.
Along with his identity, the reader can get a sense of how the characters around
The Development Of Human Growth And Development
Essay
Human growth is a fact of life we all experience it whether we want to or not. It is
what we are expected to do. There are many theories that are associated with human
growth and development but one thing that remains true throughout is that all
humans go through stages of development from birth to death. We all experience
change in our life times. These changes help to shape us as human beings and
hopefully as well adjusted human beings. Everything from our environment to our
learning styles to our interactions with others can be described as human
development and growth. Our interactions with scripture and how we interpret it is
also part of our development. The Bible should play an important role in our
development. It should be one of the many factors that contribute to it. We, as
Christians, should learn what the bible says about human growth and development
so that we may pass it on to future generations. Since we are relentlessly trying to
explore human behavior, it should seem reasonable to Christians that their source of
knowledge, the bible, should be used as the textbook on intellect and human
behavior. This should be the most authoritative textbook on the subject of human
behavior. It is respected, it is impartial, and should be the final word on the subject.
It should not matter whether people accept the principles of God s Word or whether
they agree with them or not, because every one (young, old, rich, poor, black, white,
legal or illegal) are
Muslim Women Wearing The Veil
Another item of religious attire amongst Muslim women which has been highly
debated is the headscarf. According to Werbner (2007), the headscarf which is a
religious symbol is often seen as the refusal to integrate by many European countries
(2007:165). Yet many Muslim women would contest the opinion of the veil being a
device of social control and hindrance of social cohesion. Telegraph journalist Khan
(2015), stated that it is not the Hijabwhich holds Muslimwomen back, it is prejudice.
Her article suggests that wearing the Hijab does not affect social cohesion, ignorance
from wider society does. Media outlets often portray religious clothing as negative

Evidence of the Resurrection of Jesus
What the Death and Resurrection of Jesus Accomplished? In order to understand the
meaning of the death and resurrection of Jesus it is imperative to comprehend the
meaning of the Old Testament and the covenants that God made to Noah, Abraham,
Moses, and David. When God created the world and humans it was for God to inhabit
the world with humans. However, Adam and Eve the first humans that God created,
sin against Him by eating from the tree that God had forbidden. From that moment
on, the world fell into sin. God tries to renew the relationship that was intended for
humans to have with Him. Yet, as God continue to reaching out to His people, they

Yet Solomon also drifted away from God. God never breaks his covenant and He
continues to be faithful time after time. However, he also punished Israel when they
were not faithful to the mosaic covenant. In order for the relationship to be restored,
God made the last covenant with Israel. He would write the covenant in their hearts.
We can see the fulfillment to this promise with Jesus.
The Messiah, Last Covenant
There is not a lot of information recorded regarding the early years of Jesus.
However, there is abundant information regarding the beginning of Jesus ministry.
Jesus s baptism was a symbol of the beginning of his ministry. The devil tried to
stop Jesus by tempting him but Jesus being the son of God did not give in to the
temptation. Jesus was focused on His mission to renew the relationship between
God and man kind. He knew he was the only one that could fix the damage done in
the beginning of time. Jesus message to people was to love one another but most
importantly it was a message of repentance. The time has come, he said. The
kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news! (Mark 1:15, New
International Version).
In order to reach his audience Jesus would speak in parables in that manner, his
message was delivered in a simple way to understand. In addition to his message of
repentance and love, Jesus performed many miracles in order to show that God was
with Him. When Jesus proclaimed to be the son of God,
Objectives Of Ergonomics
Ergonomics (or human factors) is the scientific discipline concerned with the
understanding of interactions among humans and other elements of a system and the
profession that applies theory, principles, data and methods to design in order to
optimize human well being and overall system performance (W.Karwowski,2006). It
is a discipline that involves arranging the work environment to fit person in it or also
known the science of fitting the work environment to the worker. It shows the
interaction of a worker and their equipment and job on how to complete the work
tasks. The name ergonomicscomes from Greek words ergon , which means work and
nomos which means law (R.S.Bridger, 2008). Simply put, ergonomics defined as the

The objectives of ergonomics are to improve the efficiency of operation and to
maximize productivity. It aims to ensure that human needs for safe and efficient
working are met in the design of work system and it is focusing to find the best fit
between the workers and their daily work tasks and environment. The efficiency of
operation includes the widest senses of achieving the desired results without wasteful
input, without error and without damage to the person involved or to others. It is
inefficient to expend unnecessary energy or time because insufficient thought has
been given to the design of the work, the workspace, the working environment and
the working conditions. It is not efficient to achieve the desired result in spite of the
situation design rather than with support from it. To ensure that the working
situation is in harmony with the activities of the worker is also one of ergonomics
aims. The human operator is flexible and adaptable and there is continuous learning
but there are quite large individual differences. Some differences such as physical
size and strength are obvious but others such as cultural differences and differences
in style and in level of skill are less easy to
Clothing In The 1920s Essay
During the 1920 s the clothing began to become more modernized and moved away
from the fashion of the later decades. The 1920 s had various clothing styles that
would depend on many aspects. Depending on the time of day, who was there, the
type of outing, and the type of party there would be many different looks that could
be presented. Men and Women could change into multiple outfits a day to fit the
occasion. The clothingworn also depended on the persons age, occupation, and social
class. There were many guidelines for clothing in the 1920 s.

Comparing Iron Man And The Scarlet Pimpernel
The Scarlet Pimpernel begins during the 1700 s, with revolutionary masses at the
Barricade waiting for fleeing aristocrats to be captured and sent to die by the

which the French send an agent named, Chauvelin, to stop the Pimpernel at all

his life from captivity. With a new appearance on life, he uses his skills and money

What does success look like? Would a presentation or debrief workshop be the most
useful way of disseminating findings? Will you need a series of presentations for
different audiences? Will you require an interim debrief or an executive summary?
Do you need feedback in a very succinct format to facilitate a quick decision? Do you
require any specific outputs e.g. multiple printed copies of presentations/reports, data

WHEN DOES THIS NEED TO HAPPEN?
One of the most important factors to include in the research brief is timings. When
are interim and/or final results required? Do you need to meet key internal or
external deadlines? Are these fixed? this can influence choice of methodology

He became a Professor Extraordinary at Zurich in 1909, and then later on in 1911 he became Professor of Theoretical Physicsat Prague. In 1914 he was appointed Director of the Kaiser Wilhelm Physical Institute and Professor in the University of Berlin. He became a United States Citizen in 1940 and later retired from his post in 1945. Einstein was a world leading figure after World War II; he was given the opportunity to be in the Presidency of the State of Israel, which he declined. He later on supported and collaborated with Dr. Chaim Weizmann in establishing the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. One of Einstein s biggest success subjects was having a clear, understanding view of the problems of physics and the determination and ability to solve

Through my visit I was able to learn more about the different primates, their traits, habitats, eating habits, and interactions. Thus, allowing myself to gain a visual and up close understanding of the primates we learned about in class through the lectures. The first primate I observed at the zoo was the Black Mangabey. The Black Mangabey is located in the damp forests in the central Congo Basin in Africa(Zoo Placards Black Mangabey 2015). Furthermore, these monkeys move through all levels of a forest canopy, seldom coming to the ground (Zoo Placards Black Mangabey 2015). The Black Mangabeys are not only some of the most rare monkeys but the most endangered species of monkey(San Diego Zoo Website 2015). The Black crested Mangabeys scientific name is the Lophocebus Aterrimus. The Black Mangabey is identified by their black hair and the long grayish brown whiskers that almost cover their ears and a high crest on their head (San Diego Zoo Website 2015). The enclosure contained a lot of trees and rope for the Black Mangabeys to climb and swing around in. There were no leaves on the trees, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Also the enclosure had a lot of roaming room and resting areas for the great apes. Seven gorillas populated this exclosure and it was not an exhibit of mixed species. While I visited the Western Lowland Gorilla I mostly observed them resting. However there was a small baby in the exhibit which interacted and watched the visitors while climbing all over its resting mother. After a while the baby started feeding on it mother and once it was done it climbed on her back as she began to roam around the enclosure. It was very intriguing to watch the baby interact with its mother and witness it being

Technology is in everything we do from using our home refrigerator, washer, cellular device, automobile, and or computer systems. When using certain devices you pass information to others pertaining to personal and private information. This information or metadata could be a bank account or credit card number, pin, and or password that we unconsciously share. We randomly give away this information at a dentist or doctor s office, the local liquor store, or when we visit social media sites like Instagram, Facebook, Yahoo, and or Google. This information is all collected, stored, and tracked by big brother, and what are they doing with it, is the metadata being secured, American s may never know. Disturbingly the National Security Agency (NSA) has been collecting metadata on Americans personal telephones and electronics devices for several years. This collection was happening before the NSA Analyst Edward Snowden leaked these facts to the world in late 2013. The NSA was formed in the 1950 s, and during this time frame the NSA disseminated intelligence information from electronic signals for foreign and counter intelligence purposes, which supported the American military needs. Currently the NSA has refocused their spying tactics to technology driven devices. The NSA has an extensive telephone metadata program, since 2001, and they collect phone records of virtually all Americans (Lizza, 2013). Email and Social

Next two young white woman that were also riding the train said they raped them and sent the boys were sent to court. The central ideas of justice develop throughout the book by when the boys are first put on trial to when the boys are released or died.Based on the definition of justice and my beliefs justice means that everyone gets the same thing and is treated equally. The scottsboro boys did not receive justice when they were first trialed but in the end they did receive justice and some of the boys were set free. This time, however, Judge Horton was removed from the case and replaced with Judge William Callahan, well known for being a traditional, old school jurist. As Patterson said of Callahan, He couldn t get us to the chair fast enough. Indeed, Callahan showed his colors when, after the evidence against Patterson was presented to he charged them with the following instructions: Where the woman charged to have been raped, as in this case, is a white woman, there is a very strong presumption under the law that she will not and did not yield voluntarily to intercourse with the defendant, a Negro. And this is true whatever the station in life the prosecutrix may occupy, whether she be the most despised, ignorant and abandoned woman of the community, or the spotless virgin and daughter of a prominent home of luxury
  • 10. Theme Of Materialistic Love In My Last Duchess Unlike the sensual approach which Keats took on for his poems, La Belle Dame sans Merci and The day is gone, and all its sweets are gone ; My Last Duchess presents love in a negative light through the description of the Duke s materialistic and misogynistic nature. This is evident when the narrative persona describes the painting of the Duchess as, The depth and passion of its earnest glance . Browning uses the abstract nouns depth and passion to portray the materialistic nature of the Duke. Instead of cherishing the Duchess when she was alive, he is seen to be treasuring the painting of her due to its value. This is reinforced with the impersonal pronoun, its as it signifies that the Duke has objectified the Duchess, thus treating... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... While the narrative persona in My Last Duchess demands his wife to devote her love to him, the protagonist of La Belle Dame sans Merci devotes himself to the woman he loves even though the love is unrequited. This is evident through the repetition of the line On the cold hill side. throughout the poem. The noun phrase cold hill suggests that the knight is lonely and depressed when he waits for the woman solely, however unlike the narrative persona of My Last Duchess , he would not demand the woman to love him instead he would wait patiently until the day his affection towards her is accepted. Subsequently, through the knight s patience in waiting for the woman he favours, Keats highlights the strong affection he has for the

  • 12. Racial Discrimination In The Merchant Of Venice Everything is not as it seems. In other words, Don t judge a book by its cover. This message is applicable to racial discrimination and stereotypes. For example, from the 1200s to the 1600s, Europeans discriminated against Jews extensively. This was most prominent in Venice and England. Jews were forced to live on an island called the Ghetto in Venice and were cruelly oppressed throughout history in the Italian city.. In the 1200s, Jewswere banned from England. Finally, they started to come back in the 1600s but had limitations because they were known for their high intelligence compared to the English, as well as in Venice. In Venice they were only allowed to be usurers, or loaners that demand high rates of interest, which is something... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Whoever chooses the right one may wed Portia. The Prince of Morocco chooses the gold casket because never so rich a gem was set in worse than gold. (2.7.60 61) He says that no one is more beautiful than Portia and compares her to gold. Based on that comparison, he chooses the gold casket.. However, when he opens the casket he reads that All that glitters isn t gold...had you been wise as bold, young in limbs, in judgement old. (2.7.73 79) These quotes show that the casket story directly supports the message (one must not judge by the cover to have pure judgement) and supports the motive that Shakespeare has in mind for this play. Also, Bassanio is one of the protagonists of the play, and he tries to wed Portia. He chooses the lead casket because it had an inner beauty, though the outside was ugly. Obviously, the lead casket is the right one and the casket inside has a message that says You that choose not by the view chance as fair and choose as true. (3.2.135 136) This further shows that Shakespeare wants the audience to learn to not judge by appearance, and to be humble because one who judges thinks highly of themselves. Thus, this play is not Anti Semitic because all the characters act abusively towards Shylock just because he is a Jew. They judge him by the outside and do not look at the inner qualities of Shylock. Also, if Shakespeare used this theme as his main motive then he is trying to indirectly demote Anti Semitism. If

The type of toys in these isles completely contrasted the toys meant for the boys. Toys meant for girls usually comprised of barbie dolls, flowers, and many color books of princesses. Most toys in this section suggested tea parties and playing house. Many of the toys also promoted little girls to wear aprons and to bake cookies and other meals for fun. One of the interesting things about this isle however were how they had more Life size toys than the boys. The life size toys were usually barbie dolls where they could dress up the toy in the girls actual clothing to see what the barbie doll would look like. Another thing that I noticed was that most of the toys were very similar to one another because the girl isles comprised of different types of dolls rather than

Over the last few years, more people have been informed about sustainable options, which have been easier to obtain and contribute to, as well as wanting to purchase more sustainable options from companies. Since the idea of sustainabilityis so broad, everyone can contribute in a way they feel is most beneficial. Whether individuals and companies are giving back for personal or self regarding reasons, it is still helping give back to the environment and provide a more sustainable future. Since sustainability is such a broad term that it can be hard to define or categorize. According to the Cambridge Dictionary, a generalized definition for sustainability is the ability to continue at a particular level for a period of time. While that is a broad overcast of a definition, there are really three pillars of sustainability that can be explored and contributed towards: Economic Development, Social Development, and Environmental Protection. The only pillar that seems to focus on giving back is Environmental Protection. This pillar encompasses recycling, composting, reducing usage of energy resources, or just by taking a walk to save on gas for individuals. Also, as a teenager, Booth had a fortune teller predict his future. When she looked at the may crossed lines on his palms she became worried and predicted he would die young but famous. Both of these prophecies were fulfilled in Booth s life. At the White House, just days before his assassination, Lincoln had a dream. In response to these occurrences, I cannot really judge whether they are true or false. I generally consider supernatural events to be unlikely, though I would not deem them impossible. Considering the specific events in the story however, I believe the word in the flames and the supposed fortune actually specifically influenced Booth s life, instead of being signs of divine future seeing. Also, I believe that Lincoln s dream, aside from being somewhat concerning, was just a coincidence and was probably caused by the rational long term fear the entire Lincoln family had of being

There are two sources of the industry wide of competitive advantage, including cost advantage and differentiation advantage (Grant, paage178). From my analysis, Mondavi can apply both sources to use with its products, but it should use one competitive advantage at a time. For instance, according to exhibit 4 in Jug and pop pre segments, Woodbridge should be applied to the cost advantage because the price competition in this type of wine was very aggressive at that time. Thus, the company has to reduce costs to compete with other competitors. However, referring to exhibit 4 in luxury prem segment, the company should apply the differentiation advantage for Robert Mondavi (RM)Winery and RM Coastal Private Selection because these two brands target the high end customers caring for the quality rather than the price. Alfred Prufrock and Something Whispered in the Shakuhachi are poems written by T.S. Eliot and Garrett Hongo correspondently. Both poems put a great emphasis on the depiction of the narrator s emotion. The poems are focused on feelings and emotions of their narrators. At the same time, it should noted that a lot of attractive in both poems is given to the setting. In fact, the setting plays an important role to both poems. In the beginning of this book, Cantor begins to describe how the black plague began and the symptoms of the black plague. The black plague was also known as the Black Death. Many have their own thoughts about how the plague started, but Cantor explains his thoughts throughout the first section of this book. According to Cantor, the plague started from a tiny flea. The black plague is thought to have started in Asia and spread through trade. Shipyards were filthy during the medieval period, which made it perfect for rodents and rats to live on the ships. Rats were perfect carriers for fleas. The fleas would live off the rats. Once the ships would enter a new harbor the rats would get off the ship and invade the new town. The town the ships would dock in towns that might not have been invaded, but after a ship full of diseased rats ran off throughout the town, the town was then infected with the black plague. The same can be said for the Mercedes 1957 300SL Gullwing, a production car that was one of the fastest and most eye catching vehicles of its time. Indeed, these types of classic cars are from a bygone era. Today, they are auctioned off for millions of dollars and stand as a heritage of a different period. However, they are not alone in this mission. There are hundreds if not thousands of cars that can be considered classic, with many being far less cumbersome on a bank account to own. • 48. The Development Of Human Growth And Development Essay Human growth is a fact of life we all experience it whether we want to or not. It is what we are expected to do. There are many theories that are associated with human growth and development but one thing that remains true throughout is that all humans go through stages of development from birth to death. We all experience change in our life times. These changes help to shape us as human beings and hopefully as well adjusted human beings. Everything from our environment to our learning styles to our interactions with others can be described as human development and growth. Our interactions with scripture and how we interpret it is also part of our development. The Bible should play an important role in our development. It should be one of the many factors that contribute to it. We, as Christians, should learn what the bible says about human growth and development so that we may pass it on to future generations. Since we are relentlessly trying to explore human behavior, it should seem reasonable to Christians that their source of knowledge, the bible, should be used as the textbook on intellect and human behavior. This should be the most authoritative textbook on the subject of human behavior. It is respected, it is impartial, and should be the final word on the subject.
