Essay Writing On My Best Friend
Writing an essay on the topic of "Essay Writing On My Best Friend" may seem deceptively easy
at first glance, as the subject matter is personal and familiar. However, the challenge lies in
transforming the warmth and intimacy of a friendship into a well-structured and engaging piece
of writing.
One might assume that since the topic involves a close friend, the words would flow effortlessly
onto the page. Yet, there's a delicate balance between being too sentimental and providing a
genuine portrayal of the friend's qualities and the impact they've had on one's life. The difficulty
arises in articulating these sentiments in a way that is not only emotionally resonant but also
captures the reader's interest.
Furthermore, the task demands a keen awareness of the audience, as an overly private or overly
detailed account might make the reader uncomfortable. Striking the right tone, maintaining
coherence, and ensuring that the essay is not merely a list of attributes but a narrative with a
clear structure can be challenging.
As the writer, one must navigate the fine line between revealing personal anecdotes and
respecting the friend's privacy. Balancing the emotional connection with the need for a polished
and well-organized essay can be a demanding feat.
In conclusion, while the subject matter may appear simple on the surface, writing an essay on
"My Best Friend" requires finesse, thoughtful expression, and a careful consideration of the
reader's perspective. It's a delicate task that demands the writer's skill in translating personal
emotions into a universally relatable and engaging narrative.

Telekinetic Powers in the Movie Chronicle
In the movie Chronicle, the arrival of telekinetic powers creates excitement and
tension between Andrew, Matt, and Steve. With their new proclaimed powers, the
development of the fantastic character Andrew Detmer is evident through Andrew s
desire to have freedom, believing that he is superior to every other humanbeing, and
Andrew s powers acting as a release for his anger.

do. As his ego gets bigger and power strengthens, he realizes that he chooses what
he can or cannot do, and no one can stop him. When Andrew, Matt, and Steve go
into the hole and end up with telekinetic powers, Andrew strengthens his friendship

Hudson Bay Failure Essay
Walmart, one of the top retailers globally entered Germany in the 1990 s by
acquiring two local retailers. It was not quite successful and the inflexibility and
inadaptability of Wal Mart marked its end in the Europe s biggest economy and the
company had to pull off in 2006. It was seen that Walmart was extremely rigid and
stubborn and did not make any attempt to learn the culture, rather they forced English
language and American way of doing business as the official culture which was one
of the major causes of failure.

of its employees being local and a few from US units who would effectively

will also see a good amount of transfer of skillsets from Hudson Bay to Kaufhof and

overcome any challenge. Kaufhof and Hudson Bay can together witness a growth in

Inflammation In Central Nervous System Essay
Inflammation in the central nervous system (CNS) is particular, as the cells that
intervene during this process are specific of this system: the glial cells. Glial cells are
non neuronal cells that maintain homeostasis, form myelin, and provide support for
neurons in the CNS and peripheral nervous system13.
Astroglial cells are star shaped glial cells that are especially important for the repair
and scarring process in traumatic injuries, and for the formation of the blood brain
barrier (BBB). Although the BBB is able to protect the CNS from peripheral immune
activation, it becomes more permeable during inflammation, which renders the brain
vulnerable to infections; so a closer look is given to the BBB in inflammation and
immunity in some research projects14. Under physiological conditions, astrocytes
maintain the extracellular homeostasis, participating in glutamate uptake and its ...

Since antibodies are not normally present in the CNS, microglial cells are the main
active immune defense. As they are extremely plastic, microglia can adopt different
morphologies, which two of the most important are the ramified and the activated
one. The highly ramified morphology corresponds to the resting microglia, with long
branches constantly moving and a small cellular body. The activated microglia
presents a small amoeboid cell body with thicker and retracted branches, and it is
associated with a pro inflammatory phenotype. Microglial cells can go through the
classical activation by stimulation with LPS and IFN Оі and can produce pro
inflammatory cytokines/mediators such as IL 1ОІ, IL 6, TNF О±, CCL2, ROS, and
NO18,19; suggesting that these molecules contribute to dysfunction of neural
network in the CNS20. The microglia in this state is termed M1 microglia , while
M2 microglia is used to include the states of both alternative activation21. IL 4 and IL

The Maroon Bells will present you with wonderful views as you hike along the

is filled with cascading waterfalls, which make this trail even more appealing. From
the valley, the trail is the going to follow a gentle grade, as it passes through the

Inequality In Terms Of Social Inequality
In terms of social division, according to Oxford (2013), social mobility has fallen
rapidly in many country as inequality has grown. Oxford (2013) argues that the
wealthy focus only on better education and healthcare for their own families, rather
than helping public services or paying the taxes to support them. If the division
continues, then there will be a side of social ills, including violence, mental health,
crime and obesity. Oxford (2013) also states that unequal societies not only negatively
affect the poor, but also affect the rich.
Environmental destruction, according to Oxford (2013), comes from inequality
because the wealthy have been estimate to use as much as 10,000 times more
carbon than the average US citizen. There is also the issue of monopoly, where
resources like land and water are reserved from potential societal good. Resources
become more scarce. Oxford (2013) states that if societies were more equal, then
they would be better equipped to deal with natural disasters, as well as carbon
emissions.
Equalitytrust.org has data that reveals patterns of the social costs of inequality.
Inequality affects the physical health United States. If there was a more equal United
States, then people are predicted to live almost a year, or more longer (The Equality
Trust, 2014). Mental health is also a part of the social costs. A more equal society
would lead to an improvement of five percent, or more in mental health (The Equality
Trust, 2014).
Theme Of Parody In Jane Austen s Northanger Abbey
Northanger Abbey is considered a parody of the gothic novel. While considered a
parody, it still has themes of the gothic novel such as mystery. Northanger Abbey, as
a satire, is periodically seen as a less popular novel when contrasted with other novels
written by Austen. Be that as it may, Northanger Abbey incorporates different sorts of
portrayal, profound mental examination, and still figures out how to give examples
of a well written gothic parody (Jesander).
The Eighteenth Century and the writing created amid it are known for serious
beginning components, and additionally investigative and constructive substance,
which is connected with the Enlightenment. The Eighteenth Century additionally saw
the ascent of the novel as a noteworthy kind in England. A couple real figures
incorporate Swift and Richardson (Jesander).

In Austen s books, characters are frequently somewhat characterized by their riches

needs to wed somebody rich, and spurns James for the wealthier Frederick. Mrs.

she feels less terrible about her own childlessness when she sees the shabbiness of

Catherine contrast his home and gardens with those of Mr. Allen, and is constantly
satisfied to find that his effects are bigger or more superior. In her later books, Austen

Price Elasticity Of Demand And Demand
Price elasticity of demand is the relation of the virtual change in quantity demanded
to the virtual difference in price. Mathematically, price elasticity of demand is only
the percent change in capacity divided by the percent change in cost. In this essay
the following issues will be discussed and examples will be given. To begin with
Price Elasticity of Demandwill be explained provided with illustrations. Furthermore

consumer expenditure.
Demand elasticity means how perceptive the demand for a good is to fluctuations in
other economic variables. Demand elasticity is essential as it supports firms model
the possible transformation in demand due to changes in value of the good, the
result of changes in prices of further goods and numerous other market factors. A
firm grasp of demand elasticity benefits to direct firms regarding more ideal
competitive performance. Demand elasticity is a measure of how great the capacity
demanded will be different if additional factor changes. An example is the price
elasticity of demand; this measures how the quantity demanded fluctuates with price.
This is fundamental for setting prices so as to maximizing profit.

offers.
Business letterhead templates
What is a business letterhead?
A business letterhead is used as a powerful tool to promote a business. It is nothing
but an official document of your business that shows how established your business
is and what is its professional image in the market. Besides these, a nicely designed

Blogging And Social Media Are Challenging Conventional...
Question 4: Examine the ways in which blogging and social media are challenging
conventional ideas about news (Thorsen, 2013, p.139).
.
Since the turn of the century, the use of social media and blogging has changed the
way in which we do many things. One thing it has had a large impact on is the news
and the way we access it. It is said that we now not only respond to the content carried
in mainstream media, but produce the content themselves (Noor,2013). This is called
citizen journalism, the way in which we can now all be a journalistic reporter, through
what we post on the internet.
It is said that 1.73billion people are now on social media (anon,2013), which is
around Вј of the population. This may be one of the many sites including Facebook,
Twitter, Instagram, BlogSpot etc. These websites all use many formats, but their
prime agenda is to help individuals around the world communicate.
This communication has allowed many people to express themselves and have
their own go at writing articles and insights on the issues in the world. In an article
written in the Guardian it is said that only a handful of journalists did not attend
higher education (Elliott,2014), meaning the majority of what you read in a
newspaper is from the same sort of person, from similar backgrounds who have
similar ideas. This used to dominate over the country, but now due to social media
we are allowing people of many backgrounds to have their say and be heard, by this
happening we will
Should Juvenile Criminals Be Tried As Adults
The definition of a juvenile is a person of a young age who has committed a crime.
This young age may vary from one through seventeen. Essentially these juveniles are
considered to be children, in which case means they are not fully matured. Children
mess up; they do things they are not supposed to, test limits, and push people to their
max because they are not fully aware of the consequences that lie ahead of them due
to the fact that their maturity level is still relatively low. With that being said,
juveniles should not be tried as adults when being sentenced because these teens have
not fully developed. Throughout all five articles that discuss several cases in juvenile
crimes, there are many different opinions in which they should or

them up, giving the film s incipient Nazism an admiring positive spin (Cass, 1999, p.
56), hence mocking the very nature of Heinlein s novel. In his adaptation, Verhoeven
gets away with cheeky, sometimes savage, parody of patriotism with campy
enthusiasm, blatant and black humour and a cast of bugs, which steal the picture
under the noses of the scrubbed and brainwashed teenage troopers. Some critics who
understood the satirical point still worried that a younger audience would not that
naГЇve viewers would embrace this fascist world, much as those of similar age did in

Tread On NASCAR Cars
From 13,000 fans during the first race 50 years ago to over 300,000 fans at a single
event today, the NASCAR sport has evolved over the years in various ways. In the
beginning, stock car drivers actually bought brand new cars from dealers and went
racing. The first strictly stock car race sanctioned by NASCARin Charlotte, North
Carolina in 1949 had no safety requirements for competing cars. They were true
stock cars in every sense of the word, completely unmodified and in hindsight,
incredibly unsafe. There were no extra or special requirements for drivers and cars
that raced than there were for street vehicles. Today, NASCAR racecars have very
little in common with street cars because almost every detail of a NASCAR vehicle
is handmade.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Opposite to popular belief, speed must be maintained at a high level to prevent
fatal accidents from occurring. The idea behind this is that when drivers are
unable to hold their high speed, cars tend to bunch up in certain areas of the track,
such as corners. When cars bunch up, and the space between cars starts to
minimize, risk for accidents and impacts with other drivers maximize. NASCAR
tracks use banking, The degree of incline present on the racing surface at each
track, to help a car s downforce and velocity through a turn, while minimizing
lateral slip (Hansen). Banking is present at every NASCAR sanctioned track, but
the degree of banking varies from speedway to speedway. The steepest banking
occurs at the corners of each track but straightaways have a slight degree of
banking as well. Drivers keep the pedal mashed to the floor during straightaways
and the higher the banking, the more of that speed they are able to carry into the
corner and the quicker they are able to return to the gas. Talladega Superspeedway
is the steepest of all tracks where NASCAR holds national series events, where the
main turns are pitched at a robust 33 degrees. Conversely, New Hampshire Motor
Speedway has a slight 7 degree banking, which is relatively flat. Stock cars are able
to travel at speeds upwards of 200 miles per hour at Talladega Superspeedway while
at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, can only
Exploring Racial Discrimination in the Case, Dunlap v....
The case, Dunlap v. Tennessee Valley Authority, explores the issue of suspected racial
discrimination associated with disparate treatment and disparate impact caused by the
Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) against a qualified, experienced boilermaker and
foreman that is African American. Questions for the court to evaluate regarding this
case include: Is this a case of disparate treatment and/or impact and was the plaintiff,
David Dunlap, subject to racial discrimination? Finally, did the TVA use personal
hiring practices that allowed for racial bias in the interviewing process?
What are the legal issues of this case? The Court in the 6th Circuit was to determine
if the plaintiff, David Dunlap, had met the burden of proof that his ... Show more

The proof of discriminatory intent is not required and although the court concluded
that TVA s processes with interviewing had been manipulated to exclude African
American candidates in general, the court disagreed, citing the lack of statistical
proof demonstrating that a protected group was adversely affected thus establishing a
prima facie case (Walsh, 2010). Dunlap did not prove, within the evidence presented,
that the procedures TVA used were practiced prior. Although the district court
concluded that TVA s interview process had been manipulated to exclude African
American candidates (Walsh, 2010), the court of appeals disagreed because it did
not believe there was analytical data that blatantly prove how any protected group
was impacted adversely. The court found that Dunlap can only challenge his specific
interview processes and not an entire group.
Explain why the plaintiff s disparate treatment claims succeed?
The disparate treatment doctrine requires that any plaintiff must demonstrate that an
employer has treated some group of people less favorably than others because of any
protected classification to include their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.
According to Walsh, Three provisions required to prove disparate treatment are (1)
the plaintiff must establish a prima facie case of racial discrimination; (2) the
employer must articulate some legitimate, nondiscriminatory
Bob Cratchit
A theme can be described as the soul of a piece of literature. Themes can be
controversial, thought provoking or timeless and can present themselves as issues
that are ever present in our society. It can be argued that the concept of family is
integral to most people as it calibrates our moral compasses. In Charles Dickens
play A Christmas Carol and the film A Diva s Christmas Carol directed by Richard
Shenkman, family is a timeless theme, and continues to be one when looking at how
the concept of family has evolved in the common era. One of Dickens iconic
character than exemplifies the timeless theme of family is Bob Cratchit. His familial
values and financial hardships appealed to the higher classes in the nineteenth century

The term family may mean two dads or two moms or step parents or even grand
parents or guardians. Families encompass more than the traditional notion of
nuclear. It can be argued that there are both traditional and more sophisticated
ideas around the concept of family and Bob Cratchit is an example of a character
who sees family as beyond the nuclear concept. The play extends the understanding
of the nuclear family (Bob, his wife and six children) to the idea of the extended
family which he considers to be Fred and his friends and later on, Scrooge. The
film, A Diva s Christmas Carol, depicts the same concept of a traditional nuclear
family with Bob and his immediate family (his wife and child). Bob s extended
family is also depicted consisting of Ebony, towards the end of the film, and her
band members. The concept of a traditional family is used in both the film and the
play in the same manner because, irrespective of their eras, this is common to both
pieces. In contemporary society, it is more common to see families of many
different shapes and sizes in addition to the traditional nuclear family. To some,
family can mean immediate relatives as opposed to everyone related to them. To
others, immediate relatives can consist of blended families for the reason that their
parents are split and may have remarried. One of many interpretations of the word

Drug Trafficking In Brazil
Being a country that has little to no data about the drug trafficking and use in many
of their cities, Brazil does pose a tough task to analyze at the macro level. Rio de
Janeiro is a perculiar place in Brazil that is prime for research of these problems due
to the availability of quality data, the influence of the government on the behavior
and customs of their citizens, and the importance of the city when it comes to drug
trafficking and the policies against it. In the articles by Pengalese and Koonings
they both do a great job of providing an overview of the Brazilian drug
criminalization while focusing primarily on the city of Rio De Janiero. The major
problem lied in the favelas where the consumption and trafficking of drugs increased

growing violence, money and influence the drug trade had on the daily lives of all
Brazilians, this led to corruption among many of the officers that swore to protect.
Since the police carry out activities that the government does not want openly
acknowledged, the police often turn to criminal activity as ways of funding and
carrying out their operations. Illegality is allowed and tolerated, even encouraged, if
it is in the name of fighting subversion. But once the subversive threat is eliminated,
the networks that tie police to illegal activities, and the practice of turning a blind
eye to official illegality and corruption, remain in place (Pengalese, 131, 2008).

police officers are corrupt though, but it has been shown that the policies and high

General Electric and Honeywell Merger
Introduction The merger case between General Electric Co. (GE) and Honeywell
Inc. has sparked considerable debate between US antitrust agencies, economists and
scholars since the announcement of its unsuccessful attempt by the European
Commission (EC). GE is a corporation active in aircraft engines, financial services,

aerospace products and is the leading supplier for engine starters. Both parties are
from the US. In Oct 2000, GE and Honeywell agreed to merge and Honeywell was

Biography Of Christopher Columbus And The Viking Leif...
The history of America did not begin with the pilgrims landing at Plymouth in
1620, rather centuries before. In 1000 AD, the Viking Leif Erikson settled land in
North America, and in the centuries to come Europeans dreamed of finding a route
that would bring them to the fabled treasures of Asia. Christopher Columbus, an
explorer from Italy, believed he had found such a western sea route to Asia in 1492,
when in reality he had discovered North America. Europeans followed Spain s lead to
settle the New World after hearing of the riches and natural resources that the land
brought. In the late 16th century, Queen Elizabeth I of England hired Sir Humphrey
Gilbert and Sir Walter Raleighto settle land for England. After several failed attempts,

Raleigh sent to the New World were Captains Amadas and Simon Ferdinando. On

plenty of fish, game and vegetation, good soil, and was a secure location hidden from
passing ships. In addition, the local Roanoac were friendly and established trade with
them. The men sailed back to England with their glowing account, and Raleigh,
thoroughly convinced and pleased, decided that he would name the land Virginia

Palette Of King Narmer Essay
This artwork is known as the Palette of King Narmer. It is from Hierakonpolis in
Egypt (Predynastic period), made in circa 3000 2920 BCE, and is also a 2 1 feet
high slate carved from siltstone. This palette shows the unification of the two
kingdoms of Egypt the Upper and Lower Kingdoms under King Narmer, the
founder of the first Egyptian dynasty. This theory is not clear however, as some
think it is not a record of true events and is instead an artwork depicting Narmer s
control over that Egyptian region. The intended audience for this palette was
perhaps an elite one, as not only was it utilitarian, but it s detailed design makes it
considered a ceremonial object. This piece of art, regardless of the factual basis, was
made to show some sort of union, and was made when King Narmer was ruling over
Egypt.

me to understand the benefits of leadership, teamwork, and improve communication.
The BSA is designed to foster leaders, service, teamwork and communication to

actions and essence of words. A leader, is someone who can drive other people

Busy Backson America Analysis
Busy Backson: America
Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the
present moment, preached Buddha. In depth, I think Buddha seemed to understand
that the past is not relevant in succeeding the present. The present is meant to be
lived thoroughly with a present tense mind. Unknowingly over thinking the future
prevents the mind from enjoying the present. Dwelling over an event that occurred in
the past interferes with the natural order of living in the present. It seems unlikely to
even appreciate or enjoy the present if the past and future are what the mind is
currently thinking of. The key is to clear the mind of all negative and stressful
thoughts that arise about the future or past. Don t be a Busy Backson ... Show more

America today is only ever focused on the reward. To America, the journey is just
an obstacle they have to swivel around to reach their goal. In The Tao of Pooh, the

Persuasive Essay On Tally Thai
Tally Thai is located at the heart of Pensacola street and will satisfy any person who
craves Thai food in the comfort of their city. Along with the fresh seafood for sushi,
Tally Thai has a vest menu of items, with everything from tasty noodles to miso soup
and ginger salad. As an individual who barely eats sushi, or foodfrom Thailand in
general, my roommates recommended that we eat at Tally Thai for this assignment.
The menu, like most traditional places, is organized to easily understand. Beginning
with traditional appetizers, this four page menu continues with soups, salads, then
entrees. To my surprise, the third page listed Thai appetizers, entrees, and sushi rolls,
which I found to be more conventional to culture in Thailand; with this, the menu
ended on desserts and drinks, as most restaurants do. There is no question that the
menu is, without a doubt, not authentic instead it is Americanized. If it were
traditional, the rolls, especially, would not have been in english. With basic names
such as Philadelphia Roll and Gator Roll , it is clear to see the menu works with the
environment around it; being in a college town, most students would not be able to
understand names of entrees in a different language. Exemplarily, dishes such as the
curryduck would be called แกงเป็ด in this culture. Not
Americanizing this menu would make it impossible for individuals to order. A few
entrees on the menu do, however, represent Thai culture. Meals such as the masamun

Analysis Of The Glass Castle, By Jeannette Walls
Jeannette Walls s life growing up was rough. It wasn t this great adventure that her
parents tried to make themselves and their kids believe it was. However, the kids
did grow up independent, well rounded and educated in many areas that children
might usually be sheltered from. The Glass Castle is a memoir written by
Jeannette Walls about her childhood growing up with parents that lived
unconventional lives chasing freedom. This book spent 261 weeks on New York
Times Bestseller list which does not surprise me in the least; it was a fantastic
read. First of all, I am usually not a fan of memoirs, but I enjoyed reading this one
immensely. The style of writing is very descriptive, which helps the reader create
an imagine in their head and feel as if they are there with the characters. I
appreciate J. Walls staying objective throughout the book, she doesn t add in her
opinion about what she feels was right or wrong about her childhood. As a matter
of fact the tone of the book makes me feel more like she is trying to make sense of
it herself by simply writing it down. The conflicting emotions I experienced while
reading this book is what made it a great read. I could not help but empathise with
all of the characters. The children were clearly not at fault for any of the scary and
disgusting things that happened to them, yet I could not completely hate the parents
either. The father s character was complex like all of the other characters in this
book. His troubled past could
The Controversy Of Homosexuality Sparks Controversy
Introduction:
In every corner of the world, the topic of homosexuality sparks controversy from
both supporters and opponents of the sexual orientation. Merriam Webster s
dictionary defines a homosexual as being sexually attracted to people of the same
sex. The underlying influence from historical, sociological, and health disciplines are
just a few reasons such a large gap exists on the spectrum between supporters and
opponents of homosexuality. This paper serves as an analysis of the previously
mentioned disciplines with gathered data from a variety of scholarly journals. Based
on the grounds of historical, sociological, and health disciplines, it would be far too
ethnocentric, discriminatory, and physically unhealthy for society to reject
homosexuality as an individual s choice in a way of life.
Historical Perspective: When viewing the United States acceptance of
homosexuality there have been spikes and plateaus in its progression. Today, a
majority of the states in the nation allow same sex marriage; however, in some of
these states, homosexual couples are not able to receive the same Social Security
benefits as heterosexual couples (Mushovic, 2011). This clearly demonstrates that
although the nation has made great strides in treating homosexuals as equals, there
is still some sanding around the edges that needs to be performed. When viewed in
this aspect, it is seen that progress for homosexuals to be treated as equals is being
made slowly, but surely.

Song Of Solomon Love
Song of Solomon
The Song of Solomon or Songs of Songs is a unique book in the Bible due to its
elaborate details of romance and love. For this reason, many people have struggled
to understand its place in the Canon, but its place was ordained of God to reveal
true love between a man and a woman. It is also possible to see a relationship
between God and Israel and/or Christ and the church. The story begins with the
fragrant words of the Shulamite woman for her lover. She speaks in such a way
that all who would hear her would be enthralled by her lovely rhetoric. Her lover
then responds to her with fair words of his own as equally delightful as hers. At this

admits that she is lovesick. This so far could be considered the courtship scene.
Next Solomon has her brought to Jerusalem, where the Shulamite becomes his

scene. During this scene we witness Solomon claiming his bride (3:6 11), extolling
her beauty (4:1 7), and lastly as already mentioned, consummating the marriage. For
the duration of these events, we gain a valuable insight of the sexual relationship in
its purest form as God designed it. The couple enjoys a mountain top experience as
they share their love and he tells her how beautiful she is. This lovemaking is

Essay Writing On My Best Friend.pdfEssay Writing On My Best Friend

  • 1. Essay Writing On My Best Friend Writing an essay on the topic of "Essay Writing On My Best Friend" may seem deceptively easy at first glance, as the subject matter is personal and familiar. However, the challenge lies in transforming the warmth and intimacy of a friendship into a well-structured and engaging piece of writing. One might assume that since the topic involves a close friend, the words would flow effortlessly onto the page. Yet, there's a delicate balance between being too sentimental and providing a genuine portrayal of the friend's qualities and the impact they've had on one's life. The difficulty arises in articulating these sentiments in a way that is not only emotionally resonant but also captures the reader's interest. Furthermore, the task demands a keen awareness of the audience, as an overly private or overly detailed account might make the reader uncomfortable. Striking the right tone, maintaining coherence, and ensuring that the essay is not merely a list of attributes but a narrative with a clear structure can be challenging. As the writer, one must navigate the fine line between revealing personal anecdotes and respecting the friend's privacy. Balancing the emotional connection with the need for a polished and well-organized essay can be a demanding feat. In conclusion, while the subject matter may appear simple on the surface, writing an essay on "My Best Friend" requires finesse, thoughtful expression, and a careful consideration of the reader's perspective. It's a delicate task that demands the writer's skill in translating personal emotions into a universally relatable and engaging narrative. The activated microglia presents a small amoeboid cell body with thicker and retracted branches, and it is associated with a pro inflammatory phenotype. Oxford (2013) argues that the wealthy focus only on better education and healthcare for their own families, rather than helping public services or paying the taxes to support them. If the division continues, then there will be a side of social ills, including violence, mental health, crime and obesity. Oxford (2013) also states that unequal societies not only negatively affect the poor, but also affect the rich. Environmental destruction, according to Oxford (2013), comes from inequality because the wealthy have been estimate to use as much as 10,000 times more carbon than the average US citizen. There is also the issue of monopoly, where resources like land and water are reserved from potential societal good. Resources become more scarce. The novel followed a similar pattern of all his juvenile novels aimed at male adolescents, focusing on the science of science fiction whilst following youthful education stories and supporting an optimistic vision of space conquest (Melin, 2010). Critics took issue with the attitude that his young protagonists portrayed, calling Heinlein s political views strongly authoritarian and fascist. On the other hand, Verhoeven s ideology is exactly the opposite. Rather than downplaying these fascist elements of Heinlein s novel, Verhoeven decides to play them up, giving the film s incipient Nazism an admiring positive spin (Cass, 1999, p. 56), hence mocking the very nature of Heinlein s novel. They were true stock cars in every sense of the word, completely unmodified and in hindsight, incredibly unsafe. Opposite to popular belief, speed must be maintained at a high level to prevent fatal accidents from occurring. The idea behind this is that when drivers are unable to hold their high speed, cars tend to bunch up in certain areas of the track, such as corners. When cars bunch up, and the space between cars starts to minimize, risk for accidents and impacts with other drivers maximize. NASCAR tracks use banking, The degree of incline present on the racing surface at each track, to help a car s downforce and velocity through a turn, while minimizing lateral slip (Hansen). Banking is present at every NASCAR sanctioned track, but the degree of banking varies from speedway to speedway. The steepest banking occurs at the corners of each track but straightaways have a slight degree of banking as well. The menu, like most traditional places, is organized to easily understand. Beginning with traditional appetizers, this four page menu continues with soups, salads, then entrees. To my surprise, the third page listed Thai appetizers, entrees, and sushi rolls, which I found to be more conventional to culture in Thailand; with this, the menu ended on desserts and drinks, as most restaurants do. There is no question that the menu is, without a doubt, not authentic instead it is Americanized. If it were traditional, the rolls, especially, would not have been in english. With basic names such as Philadelphia Roll and Gator Roll , it is clear to see the menu works with the environment around it; being in a college town, most students would not be able to understand names of entrees in a different language. Exemplarily, dishes such as the curryduck would be called แกงเป็ด in this culture. Not Americanizing this menu would make it impossible for individuals to order. A few entrees on the menu do, however, represent Thai culture. Meals such as the masamun curry
  • 32. Nonverbal Cues Analysis In chapter 5 reading I was overwhelm by the amount of information provide. However, I was able to find various topic that caught my attention. For example the conflicted emotions that accompany their problems . In regards to this, it made me think about my first conversation with my dyad partner, about her conflicted emotion towards her problems with communicating with loved ones. Therefore, this made me further analyze others behaviors. By doing this, it will allow me to formulate a better understanding of client s problems and how this will open my eyes to better understand why these feeling may arise within them. It amazes me how something as simple as noticing clients conflicted emotions can allow there to be an opening for more in depth conversation with them. Another topic mention in this week s reading, that stuck with me is when the author mention, how we should, recognize client relational schemas and how others may have reaction towards their ... My reasoning for picking each one of these topics varies. The topic of responding to nonverbal cues is something I notices that I have not pick up on when doing my dyads with my partner. Learning more about nonverbal cues and how I can used that as a technique while working with my client s is something I hope to further invest in. Which follows in with to talk about topics that holds a lot of meaning for my client s is something I am still learning how to work on. Lastly experiencing feelings vs talking about feelings is something that I notice I do often when talking about past experiences and how I become disconnected towards my emotions. In the end, I found this week reading to be the most

Immunodiagnostic tests are relatively simple to use, inexpensive and easy to interpret and also better for detecting extra pulmonary tuberculosis and for TB in children. The result from a serological test using the ELISA could be available within hours.14 A new rapid test that overcomes many of the current operational difficulties was recommended for use by WHO in December 2010: the Xpert MTB/RIF assay (Cepheid, Sunnyvale, CA, USA). The test is based on a real time heminested PCR test which detects the presence of M. tuberculosis complex bacilli.15By using 5 molecular beacons which span the rpoB gene 81 bp rifampin resistance determining region (RRDR) in Mycobacterium.16The Xpert MTB/RIF assay represents a paradigm shift in the diagnosis of TB and drug resistant TB by simultaneously detecting MTB and rifampicin resistance conferring mutations in mycobacterium in a closed system suitable for use outside conventional laboratory
  • 35. Analysis Of The Glass Castle, By Jeannette Walls Jeannette Walls s life growing up was rough. It wasn t this great adventure that her parents tried to make themselves and their kids believe it was. However, the kids did grow up independent, well rounded and educated in many areas that children might usually be sheltered from. The Glass Castle is a memoir written by Jeannette Walls about her childhood growing up with parents that lived unconventional lives chasing freedom. This book spent 261 weeks on New York Times Bestseller list which does not surprise me in the least; it was a fantastic read. First of all, I am usually not a fan of memoirs, but I enjoyed reading this one immensely. The style of writing is very descriptive, which helps the reader create an imagine in their head and feel as if they are there with the characters. I appreciate J. Walls staying objective throughout the book, she doesn t add in her opinion about what she feels was right or wrong about her childhood. As a matter of fact the tone of the book makes me feel more like she is trying to make sense of it herself by simply writing it down. The conflicting emotions I experienced while reading this book is what made it a great read. I could not help but empathise with all of the characters. The children were clearly not at fault for any of the scary and disgusting things that happened to them, yet I could not completely hate the parents either. The father s character was complex like all of the other characters in this book. His troubled past could
  • 36. The Controversy Of Homosexuality Sparks Controversy Introduction: In every corner of the world, the topic of homosexuality sparks controversy from both supporters and opponents of the sexual orientation. Merriam Webster s dictionary defines a homosexual as being sexually attracted to people of the same sex. The underlying influence from historical, sociological, and health disciplines are just a few reasons such a large gap exists on the spectrum between supporters and opponents of homosexuality. This paper serves as an analysis of the previously mentioned disciplines with gathered data from a variety of scholarly journals. Based on the grounds of historical, sociological, and health disciplines, it would be far too ethnocentric, discriminatory, and physically unhealthy for society to reject homosexuality as an individual s choice in a way of life. Historical Perspective: When viewing the United States acceptance of homosexuality there have been spikes and plateaus in its progression. Today, a majority of the states in the nation allow same sex marriage; however, in some of these states, homosexual couples are not able to receive the same Social Security benefits as heterosexual couples (Mushovic, 2011). This clearly demonstrates that although the nation has made great strides in treating homosexuals as equals, there is still some sanding around the edges that needs to be performed. When viewed in this aspect, it is seen that progress for homosexuals to be treated as equals is being made slowly, but surely.

  • 39. Song Of Solomon Love Song of Solomon The Song of Solomon or Songs of Songs is a unique book in the Bible due to its elaborate details of romance and love. For this reason, many people have struggled to understand its place in the Canon, but its place was ordained of God to reveal true love between a man and a woman. It is also possible to see a relationship between God and Israel and/or Christ and the church. The story begins with the fragrant words of the Shulamite woman for her lover. She speaks in such a way that all who would hear her would be enthralled by her lovely rhetoric. Her lover then responds to her with fair words of his own as equally delightful as hers. During this scene we witness Solomon claiming his bride (3:6 11), extolling her beauty (4:1 7), and lastly as already mentioned, consummating the marriage. For the duration of these events, we gain a valuable insight of the sexual relationship in its purest form as God designed it. The couple enjoys a mountain top experience as they share their love and he tells her how beautiful she is. This lovemaking is wholesome not twisted and perverted as postmodern society has made it out to be. This snapshot of sex should be the standard for all sexual relationships, but mankind in general has turned its back on God; That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other. The men also instead of having normal sexual relationships with women, burned with

Have you ever pushed aside the opinions of everyone who matters in your life when they were screaming the opposite of your feelings and gone with your gut feeling? Maybe you have. Maybe it was something as small as a place you picked for dinner that accidentally gave your entire family food poisoning. Maybe it was a friend. Maybe it was a significant person in your life. For me it was ever putting my trust in Seth MacFarlane, the creator of Family Guy, Ted, Cosmos and many other animated programs on Fox, despite the fair warnings from everyone from my mentor to his assistants to my friends phone calls as there were actual fools. My friends forwarding me very subtle articles from Rolling Stones entitled A Brief History in Hating Seth MacFarlane . No one ever questions the benefits of positive emotions, especially in America, but nearly no one assumes that there could possibly be a negative side effect of the sunny joyous feelings. Negative emotions are not only crucial to our existence but also ironically to feeling good. To live optimally in the real world and endure its numerous and endless challenges, it s necessary to engage the full range of psychological states we ve inherited as humans. Overly positive emotions over the last year have left me emotionally hardened to trusting, yet somehow negative emotions have made me closer than ever to my mentor in wake of the betrayal of our once potential co executive producer which has
