Socratic Christian Philosophy David Talcott Analysis
While reading the article Socratic Christian Philosophy, I have come to the conclusion that
Socrates knows much about how to follow a god and how not sway away from his beliefs, but his
arrogance and god like personality come in the way of that because at some points it seems as
though Socrates believes he is as high as god. David Talcott, the author of this article, even
mentions that he believes that Socrates may have a gift which makes him as divine as god. Talcott
suggests that Socrates knows a lot about that Christian philosophybefore it was even created but I
believe how Socrates goes about presenting this information is a problem because he seems too
arrogant. For example, in the Apology, Socrates says he believes poets are not wise... Show more

This voice is not a part of Socrates thinking process but rather a voice bestowed onto him by the
gods and even if it was a part of his mental process, it is still a gift from a greater power. Talcott
also brings up the point that once Socrates receives instructions from god he will follow it
through completely like when he went on the mission to prove he was not the wisest of all men
as god said he was and he interrogated all of the wise men he could think of until coming up with
the conclusion that they are not wise which ended up being one of the reasons he was subjected to
death. Socrates obeys god no matter where it leads him and believes that it is better to harm
yourself rather than to harm others because when you harm others you are also ruining your soul in
the process which is a belief shown in many branches of Christianity. Socrates believing he speaks
to a god is problematic because it makes him believe that he is higher than all other beings which
ends up with him judging others based on what he believes is wise or not

Fluttershy Alternate Ending
With the fall of Celestia and the return of nightmare moon, Equestria was in anarchy. The only
safe haven was Ponyville, where Cadence and Twilight were building the resistance. Fluttershy
is under a mind control spell cast by nightmare moon. Cadence and Twilight both knew that they
had to find a spell to break it or a spell to bring back Celestia. They had 1 week before the total
annihilation of Equestria. The only order I follow is the new nightmare republic! Fluttershy was
deep under nightmare moon s spell. No one knows how to break it... Yet. Fluttershy, listen I NO! I
will not be tricked into your lies of the sun! Screaming, Fluttershy cuts off Cadence as she knows

From what we know, Nightmare moon s spell lets her feel, see, smell, taste and think what the
ponies under her spell are doing. The spell creates pressure inside the body, creating an
excruciating pain. The spell can cause internal bleeding, fainting, excrement flow and death. But,
the good news is that she only fainted. Cadence lets out a sigh of relief. So, nightmare moon
might of let her go because of the pain? Twilight questions Cadence. Yes... We are hoping that is
the situation. Cadence! Twilight! She is waking up!! Rainbow zooms up to the two princesses,
almost crashing into them. Go, quickly!! Cadence shouts at Twilight, commanding her to check if
she is still under Nightmare moon s spell. Twilight and Rainbow return to the shelter that
Fluttershy is being held in to find Pinkie waiting for them outside. The three friends rush inside.

Class Reflection Essay
I went to Ning s informational speech section. The classroom is located room 209 at Williams
Building (WMS). It took me a while to find this building because I seldom go to the area around
Westcott Fountain. Williams is large compound building that served as lecture halls and
classrooms for undergraduate s general education courses. Room 209 is where the public
speech class took place. It is a middle size classroom in the corner and next to a lounge area. I
saw some of the students rehearsal their informative speech at the lounge when I arrived early
and wait for Ning to come. Ning s class has 15 students with varying major background. On the
day I visited, most of the students came to class on time. Three students arrived about 5 minutes
late, and Ning said she would mark them as late. Ning told me that too many late marks would
negatively affect the student s participation final grade. I learned a lot of teaching skills from
Ning, such as how to start the class lively, how to organize student s speech and how to claim
down students when facing unpredicted things. Ning started her class by showing a video clip of
humorous talk show. I think it is an effective way to reduce student s pre performance anxiety. She
then overviewed what the class was going to do and gave updates on class assignments. Then,
Ning asked volunteer students give the first speech. Others could just step to the front if they felt
like they are ready to go. I think this is the best way to

Xerox Inxight Parc Spin Off
Introduction Mohan Trikha had a vision to maximize the value of two of Xerox PARC
technologies: visualization and linguistics, both which were 20 years in the making. Trikha
attempted to embed these technologies in as many applications as possible through the creation of
a Xerox New Enterprise (XNE), Inxight. His objective was to demonstrate to the Xerox
management team through a business plan, the feasibility and profitability of such a spin out, as
well as the validity in its creation to support Xerox s long term strategic goals. Trikha needed to
assess the impact of recent developments that may blemish his business plan and, at the same time,
come up with alternatives for damage control. Trikha attained his product line management... Show

Research on visualization and linguistic technology were both conducted at Xerox s PARC for a
period of 20 years. The visualization technology team was led by one of the top 1% Xerox
researchers, Stu Card. His recent decision to stay in the more academic environment of PARC,
instead of joining Inxight, opened a large gap in Inxight s technical expertise front. PARC s
visualization technology has gone through many phases, from point and click graphical user
interface (GUI), widgetization to the Focus+Context/fisheye technique. Finally, in 1995, Intel
funded PARC s visualization project, Web Forager , a visualization tool that would facilitate the
sorting of large quantities of data on the Internet. No further development was made after this
venture as the team lacked the direction necessary for proceeding beyond the initial stage. Similarly,
linguist technology was a research project in the PARC since the late 1970 s. A total of 40 patents
were yielded from Xerox s collective research in linguistics. Xerox s search built upon substantial
academic research. Language structure in the technology was represented by advanced
mathematics, finite state technology. Xerox s new linguistics technology allowed much faster
performance than earlier technologies. Further, research development in the 80 s led to efficient
compression of linguistic transducers that enabled memory

Strengths And Weaknesses Of Data Model
¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬
1.Describe and compare 3 data models outlining their strengths and weaknesses with each other.
Connolly and Begg (2009) defines a data model as an integrated collection of concepts for
describing and manipulating data, relations between data, and constraints on the data in an
organization. Simply, a data model is a representation of how the different types of data interact.
They can be categorized into three main broad aspects, which are object based, record based and
physical data model. The object based model include the Entity Relationship, Semantic, Functional
and Object Oriented Model. The record based comprise of Relational Data Model, Network Model
and the Hierarchical Model. The physical data model describe how data is stored in the computer, ...

Similar to the network data model, data is represented as collections of records and relationships
are represented by sets. This model only permits a node to have one parent, this makes it efficient
for searching if all desired access paths follow the parent child linkages. This makes one to many
relationships well represented within the hierarchical model. The main difference between the
network data model and the hierarchical data model, is that in the network model a child could
have a many to many relationship with its parent entity. Similarly, just like the network data model,
the hierarchical data model is simple and easy to design.
The main limitation of record based data models like the network and hierarchical is they do not
provide adequate facilities for explicitly specifying constraints on the data (Connolly 2009). Another
limitation of the network and hierarchical model is that they require the user to have knowledge of
the physical database being accessed, whereas the relational data model provides a substantial
amount of data independence. (Connolly

Personal Code Of Chivalry Essay
Personal Code of Chivalry Have you ever had an event change your life? When I took my first steps
onto the marching band field for the first time, I realized I had found a place where I belonged. I
quickly realized how the lessons I learned in marching band would become an integral part of my
personal code of chivalrya code that would guide not only my steps on the field but into my
future as well. These three codes are: lead by example all the time, punctuality breeds perfection,
and you can t succeed if you have people do it for you. These codes have become values that
exemplify not only the team member that I have become but also the adult I will continue to be.
Just at Knights of the Roundtable had to uphold a Code of Chivalry rules to live by so do
members of marching band. A critical one of these rules is to lead by example. This means that
no matter what, someone is always around to observe your leadership. If people need help and
you are doing nothing to help them, they remember. If you walk away with a job undone, they
remember. If you choose to build people up to help them reach their potential, they remember. Be
the leader that shows their life code through example. There are other personal codes of chivalry as
well. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In marching band, the director puts it more bluntly: To be early is to be on time, to be on time to
be late, and to be late is to be dead. Although we may chuckle at the final part of the statement, it
rings true. You should always be early so that you can start whatever you need to accomplish on
time. If you get there on time, you won t start on time, which means you are running late. Not
exactly a way to lead by example, is it? If you are late, you have essentially killed off your goals of
accomplishing what you wanted. It leads to the destruction of your first code of being the leader
always. Show up on time and strive to be the perfect leader of your

Ak-12 Vs M16a4 Comparison
AK 12 VS. M16A4
The AK 12 and M16A4 rifles are good in their own separate ways. One may be better in one
aspect, the other in another. The rifles ultimately balance each other in separate categories. Both
rifles came into service in the 2000 s. Of the two, I believe the AK 12 is the better rifle.
The AK 12 is a somewhat heavy rifle. At 3.3 KG, it is heavier than the M16A4. It has a shorter
length than the M16A4. It s barrel is also shorter, at 415mm, it is shorter than the M16A4 as
well. The AK 12 has a fully automatic system, while the M16A4 only has a 3 round burst or semi
automatic. Since it is automatic, it has a higher fire rate. It also has a faster bullet, as well as
effective firing range.
The M16A4 is a more versatile

Comparing Relationship between Teller and Tale in The...
Relationship between Teller and Tale in The Merchant s Tale and The Wife of Bathe
A relationship is usually seen between the teller of a tale and the tale that he or she decides to
share. Chaucer s pilgrim, the Merchant, uses his feelings on marriage to teach a lesson in his tale.
The Wife of Bathe also relies on her life experience to tell her tale. The two relationships in the tales
can then be compared.
In his prologue, the Merchant recounts how he despises being married. He has only been married
for two months and he regrets the decision he made because his wife is the worst of all. He takes
these negative views of marriage into his tale.
The old man that gets to receive the Merchant s feelings ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The husband is the one who gets the bad end of the deal, which is exactly how the Merchant feels
in his marriage.
The Wife of Bathe has married five men and has a completely different opinion of marriage than
the Merchant. She enjoys being married and wants to have control over the marriage. This isn t
exactly what she finds in her life, therefore, in her tale, she creates the ending to her approval.
Although it is the wife who is always looking for a husband in her personal life, in the Wife s
tale, it is the man who is forced to find what it is that all women desire. In the end he is obligated
to marry, while the Wife is always excited to marry her next husband. The Wife wants the woman
in the marriage to make the decisions and to have power, which is also seen in the old woman in
her tale. In her tale, the old woman basically tricks the man into marrying her, and then into kissing
her. This gives her control and she can then reveal her true self.
Both of the tellers attitudes can easily be seen in the tales they share. The Merchant gives the
negative view of marriage while the Wife s encounter is triumphant for women. The Wife enjoys
being married, which is evident by the number of husbands that she has had. The Merchant has
been married two months and hates every part of it. The Merchant uses many stories of unhappily
wed men and women to support his view. He shows that

The United Nations Report Nepal
Nepal
By: Blake Murray
Grade 7
Draft
For this United Nations report Nepal was selected. It was selected because it is a beautiful
country and for some of its famous points of interest. Nepal s relative location is between India
and China. It is in both the northern and eastern hemispheres. And the absolute location is 28 00
degrees north and 84 00 degrees east. Nepal is only boarded by India and China and is completed
landlocked; no coastline.
Because it is located between India and China, the majority of the population is Indian and Chinese.
Nepal has a population of around thirty one million, which is small compared to the countries
boarding it.
The topography on half of the county is hills and plains and the other half is mountainous.
In the south Nepal has flat plains and hills. In the northern region, it is mountainous; covered by the
Himalaya s mountain range.
Nepal is a very popular tourist area. Some points of interest include; Mount Everest, Gokyo Lake,
Temple, and the Thamel. Mount Everest is the highest point on earth above sea level. Gokyo
Lake is at the base of Mount Everest. The Thamel is located in the capital and has been the center
of the tourist industry. It is narrow alleys with crowded shops and vendors that sell their goods,
such as: food, fresh vegetables/fruits, walking gear, pastries, trekking gear, music, DVDs,
handicrafts, souvenirs and more. These are only a few of the great sights you can visit in Nepal.

Speech On Tolerance
Mahatma Gandhi once said, silence becomes cowardice when occasion demands speaking out
the whole truth and acting accordingly . Throughout life we are told to be respectful and keep
our mouths shut. In today s society, there s always the uncertainty of how people should deal
with problems. During certain situations, tolerance is not always the right way to find a solution
to a problem. There are often other ways to come to a compromise. To begin with, tolerance can
be portrayed as weakness and people will take advantage of others. When Elie and his father
were taken away to a concentration camp, his father made the mistake of asking where the
toilets were. The gypsy that was in charge of the group treated the father as if he had no soul and
slapped [him] with such force that he fell down and then crawled back to his place on all fours
(Wiesel 39). Elie s father was frightened and did not stand up for himself, he frantically tried to
escape. The leaders saw the brawl and concluded that he was a pathetic individual and concluded
that they could treat him however. Later on, his father obtained the reputation of being a weak
individual which, led to him being beat up more than most of the inmates. If he would not have
crawled away as if he was fragile and showed strength to stand up, the Nazi s would have a more
difficult time taking advantage of him. Even though he couldn t help if he was slapped, tolerating
the beating and escaping into the corner showed his weakness to

Technology s Impact On Transportation Essay
Technology have greatly impacted the transportation field and in effect have completely changed
the way the human race travel, the way goods are shipped and the economy of every developed
nation. Technology in transportation is not something new, technology have continually had in
impact on travel and transportation. This impact can be see ranging from the Viking Longships ,
which were very fast for their times. These Longships facilitated the Vikings expansion and
helped them conquer new lands that were hundreds of miles away from their homes (Vikings:
Vikings at sea). The railroads in the 1800 s also were a new form of technology, and this
technology provided an opportunity for individuals to move farther west to new lands and new
opportunities that they never thought would have existed. In our day and age, technology will
continue to have a massive impact on transportation. Knowing that technology will continue to
have an impact on transportation, this paper will analyze the technological opportunities in the
transportation field and the new opportunities that they will provide in the near future. First, this
paper will examine a new form of rail transportation called Hyperloop. This paper will discuss
how Hyperloop affects product manufacturers and everyday individuals in their daily lives.
Second, this paper will look at a new phase that the Tesla Company is implementing, a phase they

Essay about The Genius that Was Pythagoras
What makes a person considered a genius? All of our opinions are different on what we think a
genius is. For example, Einstein and Mozart were both considered geniuses but Mozart s talent
came naturally where as Einstein had mentors help him along the way. Pythagoras was known as
the first pure mathematician. So was Pythagorasconsidered a genius? Pythagoras was most well
known for what we know today as the Pythagorean Theoremand also that the sum of all the angles
in a triangle is equal to two right angles. This is my reasoning on why I think Pythagoras was not
considered what we think a genius is. Pythagoras was born around 569 BC on the island of
Samos, Greece. When he was older he went to Crotone and this is where Pythagoras founded...

These are some more things that Pythagoras was credited for: The sum of all the angles on a
triangle is equal to two right angles, constructing figures of a given area and geometrical
algebra, finding of irrational numbers, the five regular solids, and that Earth was a sphere in the
middle of the Universe. So, by the information above you would probably think that Pythagoras
was considered a genius. Plus some of the things he was credited for were very unlikely that he
even did them. For example the five regular solids (Tetrahedron, Cube, Octahedron, Icosahedron,
and Dodecahedron) that he was credited for he only knew how to construct the first 3 above and
not the icosahedron and the dodecahedron. (Douglass) Also his discovery of irrational numbers
was highly unlikely due to his philosophy of all things are numbers and numbers to Pythagoras
were the ratio of two whole numbers. So overall , I think Pythagoras was a very intelligent man.
Pythagoras had to be very bright to be the master of the Pythagorean School and have one of his
students be Plato, a famous Greek philosopher. But was he a genius? I think the Pythagorean
Theorem was a genius theory and the Babylonians in Mesopotamia who did the theory first should
be considered geniuses, but not Pythagoras. I think this way mainly because

The Supply And Demand For Metals Found At The Ocelot Mine
The supply and demand for metals found at the Ocelot Mine will vary by commodity although
the demand for all three is increasing. Zinc, in particular, shows the most potential for increase,
as many of the world s main producers are closing between the years 2015 and 2020 [16]. It is
believed that this will result in a gap between supply and demand. Already the demand is
outweighing the supply, and as such, zinc prices have increased dramatically. Silver and lead
also show growth potential, largely due to high demand from developing nations and the
increase in the industrial sectors of these countries. Being an operator in Peru also requires
understanding what countries are buying Peru s exports. China received 16.65% of the total
value of Peru s exports in 2012 [22]. As such, the continued growth of Peru s economy is largely
dependent on the wellbeing of China s economy. A slowdown in their economy would reduce the
ability of producers to export their products. An example of this can be seen in the financial crash
of 2008 to 2009, which had a devastating impact on the production of galvanized steel sheets. The
global production decreased by 40% during this crisis, as depicted in Figure 8.10. Since then the
market has recovered approximately 65%, primarily due to the growth in Chinese steel production
[17]. This highlights the sensitivity of the zinc market to the wellbeing of the Chinese economy.

The Nazi Regime Used Propaganda Posters
The Nazi regime used propaganda posters to primarily expose the German people to a new way
of thinking. In charge of distributing and overseeing the creation of a majority of the
propagandist posters was Dr. Paul Joseph Goebbels. Born in Rheydt, Germany he created and
ran the Third Reich Ministry of Public Enlightenment and Propaganda. There, his goal was to
play upon the hopes, fears, and frustrations of the German people. Then, he wished to harness
those same emotions to spark a German movement and war. Goebbels believed that the written
word, instead of the spoke word, was responsible or countless great events in history. In his
posters he hoped that: Today every German soldier, worker, and pleasant knows what we are
fighting for. This is not a war for thorn and altar; it is a war for wheat and bread, for a full table
three times a day, a war of achievement of material means necessary for a solution of the social
question. There was fire in his blood, and it would end up clearly manifesting in his work on
propaganda posters. Initially Nazi propagandists used niche marketing to connect their posters to
all aspects of German life. Under niche marketing, they concentrated their efforts on smaller, yet
influential groups of people. Some examples included woman working in homes, farmers, factory
workers, and war veterans. If the government could get the support of those distinct groups, then
they knew they would have a strong support base to rely and rally on for

The Physics Of The Hynamical Evolution Of Electron...
In the present paper, we considered the dynamical evolution of protons and electrons in response to
parallel electron firehose instability excitation. Even though the free energy source for the
instability is provided by excessive electron temperature anisotropy, because of the fact that unstable
modes operate in low frequency range, the protons respond to the instability excitation as well.
Kinetic instabilities driven by electronand proton temperature anisotropies, of which the present
electron firehose instability is a part, are known to play significant roles in regulating the
temperature anisotropy upper bound as the solar wind expands out into the interplanetary space
from its solar source. In the present paper, we employed... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The proton behavior, on the other hand, exhibited somewhat poorer agreement. The wave
intensity calculation showed a qualitatively good agreement especially for early times, but
depending on the input parameters, quasilinear theory may predict lower or higher saturation
intensity. We also discussed possible cause(s) of various discrepancies, but in an overall sense,
we conclude that the so called macroscopic quasilinear method maybe a useful first order tool,
but with obvious caveats. In particular, it was shown that the parallel proton firehose instability
leads to the formation of parallel proton tail, which the simple bi Maxwellian model cannot
explain. ( removed HTML ) ( removed HTML ) Before we conclude the present paper, we

The United Nations ( Un ) And The International Monetary Fund
The United Nations (UN) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) are two global
organisations which have played major roles in developing projects and policies and managing
global finance and inter country relations around the world. Currently, there is a need for these
organisations to reform in order to address the issues of the 21st century. The The UN and IMF
were both established after the Second World War by the U.S and British governments. As the
US Secretary of State, Cordell Hull, stated, from the moment when Hitler s invasion of Poland
revealed the bankruptcy of all existing methods to preserve peace, it became evident... that we
must begin almost immediately to plan the creation of a new system . Most of the planning of
the design and structure of the UN was done by the Americans and the British. It is an
international organization designed to promote international law, security, human rights,
economic and social progress. 1Their main objective is to make the enforcement of such easier
for people all around the world. It comprises of 193 member countries and its headquarters is in

This Boy s Life by Tobias Wolff Essay
This Boy s Life by Tobias Wolff Mark Twain once said, We are creatures of outside influences we
originate nothing within. Whenever we take a new line of thought and drift into a new line of
belief and action, the impulse is always suggested from the outside. In the memoir This Boy s
Life, by Tobias Wolff Jack shows that he is a creature of outside influence. Some examples of
this are that he copies what his friends do, he doesn t try to shape his own life, and he is heavily
influenced by the male figures in his life. Throughout this novel, Jack does whatever his friends
do. When he was living in Seattle with his mother, he was influenced by his new friends to do bad

He starts ditching school more often, smokes and drinks, and his grades fall. To keep Dwight
and his mom from finding out, he forges his grades. Jack does not shape his own life. Many
times in the novel Jack imagines who he wants to be, and gives other people the impression that
he s someone else, but he never tries to achieve anything to become what he imagines. Early on,
he had a pen pal he wrote to, We were supposed to write once a month but I wrote at least once a
week, ten, twelve, fifteen pages at a time. I represented myself to her as the owner of a palomino
horse named Smiley who shared my encounters with mountain lions, rattlesnakes, and packs of
coyotes on my father s ranch, the Lazy B (13). This is a good example, its shows how he
imagines things and tries to make other people believe that s who he is, which happens numerous
times in the memoir. When he arrived at the Welch s farm, he saw himself being in the same
situation that the Welchs were in. This shows that he has no ambition to become anything, and
just assumes he will have a bad life. All this is mostly due to the fact that no one inspires him to
do anything. Another example of this is his attitude about school. He wants to be good and
educated like his brother, yet he does horribly in school and gets worse every year. Throughout the
book, Jack is heavily influenced by the male figures in his life. His father leaving his mother left

can communicate with anyone not only verbally but through via text, multimedia messages and
on the global web. Nearly anything you use today envloves some sort of technology which,
shows you in the upcoming years, we will be dependant on suxh thing. Imagine if you could
rewind time 50 years and say, in 2017, there will solar energy vehicles who drive themselves,
cellular devices that can do anything, you can access many different programs on a television, etc .
They would be mind blown and some would even disagree of such thing. With that beingk said,
communication verbally is on a decline due to less face to face conversation. Now and days, you
can have a full blown conversation with someone without even dial one number. That s crazy right?

Compare and Contrast Influential authors like Thomas Paine, Walt Whitman, and Tim O Brien
each write about what they think about war. Walt Whitman, Thomas Paine, and Tim O Brien s
attitude, tone, and message have similar components but is also unique.
Thomas Paine gives off a strong attitude towards his enemy, setting the tone and sending a
message. In common sense, Paine expresses his disgust and anger towards the government of
Great Britain. As a long and violent abuse of power, is generally the Means of calling the right of
it in question... (Paine 2). Outraged by his own government, Paine s tone implies that the question
of war must be introduced. He does this in a way that sends a message for everyone to understand
and be aware. Thomas Paine has his very strong opinion about war, but Walt Whitmanexplains a
different point of view during the Civil War.
Walt Whitman was an influential icon during the Civil War, his poems express his attitude, tone

Symptoms And Treatment Of Psychiatric Disorders
Among the world of mental health there exists many unexplained disorders. Most of these
psychiatric disorders occur for no reason and without conscious control. However, in the section
of somatic symptom disorders there exists diagnoses of people with factitious disorder whom
intentionally pretend illness in order to fulfill their emotional needs. For the FD client, there is a
strong urge to assume the role of patient. The disorders one witnesses are actually the client
feigning symptoms of sickness. Thus the word factitious translates in Latin to artificial or
contrived. The patient may feel an internal need to keep faking the role of being sick. They also
often have a history of lying uncontrollably and can be portrayed as good... Show more content on

Various scientific studies suggest that it is more common to see FD in woman than in men, but
men oftentimes portray a more chronic FD. With the FD client being such a great liar it is hard
to study their health history and find a cause for their perceived diagnosis. One theory states that
during childhood, the child might have been exposed to traumatic events such as abuse or
neglect which lead to multiple hospitalizations. In this situation the child finds comfort being at
a hospital. They also might substitute the neglected parent child bond with a staff patient bond.
In a different theory the person may have been exposed to severe illness as a child and this led to
the discovery of the attention they received associated with their sick role (Ferrara et al., 2012).
DescriptionIn order to have a proper understanding of FD one must have knowledge on somatic
symptom disorders. People with somatic symptom disorders show their psychological problems
though physical symptoms. Somatic disorders show intricate mind body interactions that cause
real physical distress. The distress can be so destructive that it portrays negatively in the clients
activities of daily life; meaning the client is unable to survive with said disorder due to lack of
functional impairment. The reason why FD falls under the section of somatic symptom disorders is
because of the client s physical sign and symptoms. However the two disorders differ because
clients with FD intentionally fake

Sea Creatures in the Ocean
There are many different creatures in the ocean. They are categorized into 3 different groups that
are Zooplankton, Nekton, and Benthos. In the ocean the zooplankton eat phytoplanktons.
Zooplankton are eaten by all of the larger animals. Phytoplankton self reproduce so they don t
need to eat other things. They create their own food. The Nekton eat the zooplankton because it
is a smaller species than the rest. Some of the most dangerous animals to both humans and other
sea animals are Leopard Seals. Leopard Seals are the second largest species in the Antarctic. The
Sea Leopard can be found mainly in Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, and the Atlantic
Ocean. It is estimated to live 26 years, some sea leopards live beyond 26 years of age. Leopard
seals mainly eat other seals, penguins, fishand krill.
The leopard seal is a big animal with a dark grey back and a white stomach. It was given the
name leopard seal because it has spots on its throat. Their front teeth are sharp and their teeth
lock in a way so they can kill easier and keep the other fish in it s mouth if it wasn t completely
dead. The leopard seal can usually be found in a pack. It spends most of the time in the water.
Leopard seals don t make much noise except a few grunts and it sometimes growls. A torpedo
ray has a soft yet fat and flabby body. It has loose skin and a muscular tail. They have electric
organs that are shaped like kidneys. They are pretty slow animals but they can cause a lot of harm.

Dog Waste Essay
Dog waste is composed of water, fecal bacteria, nitrogen, phosphorus, and possibly worms.
Animal waste, such as cow manure, is very commonly used as fertilizer. This fact would usually
cause a person to assume that this meant dog waste would be good for the lawn. But the fact is
that dog waste does not have the positive fertilizereffect on plants that most people would think.
The waste in large amounts eventually produces the opposite of the intended effect, and it kills the
grass.
Fertilizer is a mixture of nutrients that plants need to live, and it is added to soil in gardens and on
lawns to improve the health of the plants. According to sunset.com, most fertilizers contain
phosphorus, potassium, and nitrogen. A complete fertilizer is a... Show more content on

If the parasites from the dog waste are just sitting on the grass as the poop decomposes, there is a
very likely chance that another pet or child will run through the poop, contracting the parasite.
The bacteria and parasites will also infect plants that are around the pile of waste, and they will
die or become very unhealthy. They also claim that there are 23 million fecal coliform bacteria
in one gram of dog waste and that one pile of dog waste can take a year or more to fully
breakdown. It is proven that dog waste is harmful to humans and animals, but animals like worms
and bees are needed to keep plants healthy and alive. If the poop has a harmful substance, it may
not only affect the human but also kill of the animals that help plants. This causes plants to slowly
die off. Using dog waste for fertilizer seems like it would have the same effect as using cow manure
, but it does not. The dog waste slowly releases nitrogen. It negatively affects human health with
parasites and bacteria. Helpful animals are hurt and killed because of the bacteria. A normal
fertilizer is balanced with three different nutrients that help plants grow and be healthy. Ultimately,
a normal and balanced fertilizer will have a more positive effect on a lawn compared to unbalanced

t save debit cards from their own faulty reasons in using one.
Security and fraud protection is one of the biggest reason why a person should avoid using a
debit card. Under the Fair Credit Billing Act of 1975, both the FTC (Federal Trade Commission)
and EFTA (European Free Trade Association) states that if you lose your debit card to theft, you
only have a limited amount of time to report the lost before your entire checking account gets

Don Quixote Essay about created reality
Othello Essay
The novel Don Quixote, by Miguel Cervantes, is an exploration into the idea of created reality.
Cervantes, through the character of Don Quixote, illustrates to readers how we as human beings
often make reality to be whatever we want it to be.
Don Quixote is a perfect example of created reality. The character Don Quixote is real, and he lives
in a real world, but everything that he sees is exaggerated in his mind. It all begins with his name.
Don Quixote was not actually a Don. He was a wealthy, intelligent farmer who read too many
books about knighthood and went crazy. He convinced a simple minded peasant named Sancho to
become his squire, promising him wealth and a high spot in society. This... Show more content on

I believe that Sancho despises the fact that his master might be mad, but accepts some of the lunacy
to make his job easier.
Despite his delusions, however, Don Quixote is fiercely intelligent and, at times, seemingly sane.
No single analysis of Don Quixote s character can adequately explain the split between his
madness and his sanity. It may be possible that Don Quixote really does know what is going on
around him and that he merely chooses to ignore the world and the consequences of his disastrous
actions. At several times in the novel, Cervantes validates this suspicion that Don Quixote may
know more than he admits. On the other hand, we can read Don Quixote s character as a warning
that even the most intelligent and otherwise practically minded person can fall victim to his own
foolishness.
Castiglione supports the idea in, The Book of the Courtier, that a person can be constructed and
that people should adhere to an ideal and try to emulate it, even if it is impossible to become.
However Machiavelli is more concerned with describing a real model for princes and what they
have to do to survive as actual rulers rather than a happy ideal they can try to be, but never will
obtain. Both Machiavelli and Castiglione spend a lot of time explaining how important it is for one

I have learned this value from a young age as I was always taught to show respect to others to

valued. The school implements this by making sure all children are able to learn, grow and
develop to their best of their ability regardless of any abilities of the child which may inhibit
learning; such as a learning disability, all the children are treated with the same amount of
respect and dignity, such as all the children s views are taken into account. Both these values fall
under the National Care Standard of dignity which states; be treated with dignity and respect at
all times and enjoy full range of social relationships . This means that all individuals regardless of
any protected characteristics must be treated with the same respect and dignity as others in

the role that family, religion and the African Americancommunity plays on the experiences of

Under the Jungian theory, whilst Mark was pretending to be a superhero, he was most likely in the

Theory Comparison Questions
1. Use another theory, besides Jung s, to explain Mark s career choice.
For the purpose of this question, I will be using the theories of Sigmund Freud. As such, Freud
would delve into and further elaborate the influence of Mark s childhood. Freud would view
Mark s childhood experiences of playing superhero games to explain his behavior later in life. In
conclusion, Freud would believe that these experiences meant Mark was likely already predestined
to obtain a career such as being a firefighter.
2. How could environmental factors, such as reinforcements and punishment, explain Mark s career
choice? What are some reinforcements that encourage this behavior? How is the focus of this
explanation different than that of Jung s theory in explaining Mark s career choice?
In the form of the multiple thank you s! and the continuous praise he receives as a firefighter,
Mark s behavior of acting like a superhero is reinforced. These beliefs of his awaken his
unconscious belief that he needs thanks and praise in order to achieve the high esteem of manhood.

African villages indicated how they wanted to live, and they are guilty of how they lived their
life. They destroyed most of their resources, and supplies that they needed in order to learn and
live. It amazes me how a country could totally be in the wrong, then turn around, and blame
everything on America. We have nothing to do with Iraq. They chose to be an enemy, and we
stepped in and tried to end the fight between the Iraqi people. Iraq left us with no choice, because
without the help of the Americans, they would fall as a nation.
The root of those problems exists because the people of Iraq don t have enough money to afford
health care to prevent and cure disease and infections. The mortality of children in Basra has

Multinational Market Regions And Market Groups Essay
The Company has set a goal of delivering more than $1 billion in cost savings over the next five
years through global supply chain initiatives designed to achieve economies of scale and reduce
costs by leveraging people, process, and technology (H.J. Heinz Annual Report and 10k, 2010).
Multinational Market Regions and Market Groups Throughout the varying entities of the Heinz
Corporation at least one thing remains constant, high expectations pertaining to corporate and
social responsibility.
Their pride in responsibility, along with their strict outline of rules and business standards, allows
for swift and easy adaptations to local and regional group regulations (such as: NAFTA, the EU,
CAFTA, ASEAN, etc). Although countries and regions have differing health standards and
regulations for food, Heinz avoids complications with the countries respective economic unions or
organizations due to the Company s nature of business. If a firm in the food industry wishes to
compete on world level, the foremost outside force it will contend with and adapt to is culture. One
way in which a country expresses its culture is through food.
Since cultures change from region to region, one can see that it would be virtually impossible for
a firm competing on a global scale to have one product which hails all markets and appeals to
everyone s preferences. Therefore, Heinz does not have one product that it must mold to different
rules and regulations in order to sell it to different markets.

The Structure And Development Of The Human Skeletal System
The Human Skeletal System Assignment 1: Essay The human skeleton provides the internal
framework of the human body and comprises of 270 bones at birth, decreasing to 206 bones by
adulthood. The reason for this decrease, is that by adulthood, some bones that were once
separate have become fused together. Most of the unfused bones in infants can be found in the
skull, this is to allow for an easier transition through the pelvis in childbirth. Unfused bones can
also be found in the arms and legs, to allow for growth into adolescence, when some of the
unfused bones will become fused. Bones of the human body can be classified into two sections.
The axial skeleton and the appendicular skeleton. The axial skeleton contains 80 bones and can

How Does Cassius Use Ethos In Julius Caesar
Julius Caesar Funeral Speech Analysis There are many different ways to appeal to an audience or
any group of people. One very clever way of doing this would be to use logos, pathos and ethos.
Logos uses inductive or deductive reasoning by citing facts as evidence, therefore proving their
point using logical evidence. Another technique that an author can use is Pathos, when using pathos
the author tries to appeal to the emotions of the audience by describing the effect of a situation,
essentially trying to affect the audience s emotions. When using Ethosit is important for the author
to establish themselves as a trustworthy, respectful, and knowledgeable person. Doing this the
author can use ethical information to win over the audience.The... Show more content on

One of the first times that Brutus uses Pathos is in Act three when he says, Had you rather
Caesar were living and die all slaves, than that Caesar were dead and live all as free men?(III. ii.
ll. 23 24 )Brutus was saying that if Caesar would have not been killed that all of them would
have become slaves, but now since he is dead they can all live as free men and women. By
saying this Brutus was affecting the people s emotions by saying what would would have been
their future by using pathos. The next rhetorical strategy that Brutus uses would be logos.
Brutus uses logos when he says ... that I loved Caesar less, but I loved Rome more (III. ii. l.
122). When Brutus says this he means that he killed Caesar for the good of Rome, not because
he hated Caesar. The last rhetorical device that Brutus uses is ethos. Brutus uses ethos when he
says Believe me for mine honor , and have respect to mine honor, that you may believe (II. ii. LL.
14 16). When Brutus says this he wants the plebeians to remember how honorable of a man he is
and to keep that in mind so that they will believe what he has to

The Most Valuable Ideas I ve Learned During Therapy
Relapse Prevention Plan The most valuable ideas I ve learned in therapy are: a. In therapy Jane
learned that Recovery isn t going to happen all at once. With that she understands that there will
ups and down in her recovery but she know that as long as she stays strong she can stay on the
path of recovery b. In cognitive behavioral therapy Jane learns how to solve problems with out
resorting to alcohol, as well as being able to focus on changing her behavior and thoughts that
were originally creating things to be difficult for her. c. Jane learned that stress is something that
can t be avoided but through therapy and developing different techniques and coping styles will
help her deal and manage with her stress. The most valuable techniques I ve learned in therapy
are: a. The most valuable techniques learned in therapy was the ability to identify the different
stages of relapse which is emotional, mental, and physical. Doing so be able to recognize which
stage to then be able to deal with the relapse that is trying to present itself. b. To identify and
cope with high risk situations that can push her to drink. Such high risk situations are her friends
because they enjoy to drink and party and will try and encourage her to do so as well. Another
high risk situation is the stress that is created from school. c. To identify warning signs that can
lead to a relapse. For it usually a series of warning signs that can bring the relapse it will be

Alcohol Essay example
Giovanni Vaccarello, a retired machinist form Brooklyn, New York, never took the safety of his
family for granted. He often drove Maria, 18, and
Concetta, 17, to their part time jobs. John, his fourteen year old son, was to wear a beeper at all
times so that he would never be out of reach. Giovanni routinely walked Cathy, his wife of twenty
five years, one block to her job at the beauty salon. But with all the precautions Giovanni took,
nothing could stop him from Abraham Meyers, a 25 year old janitor from Brooklyn. At about
11:30 on May 1, 1994, Giovanni left the Russo s catering hall in
Queens with Cathy, Maria, and Concetta. John lingered behind as the others crossed the street and
headed for the car. It was then that Meyers, allegedly ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Between the years of 1982 and 1992, the number of fatalities due to alcohol related accidents
dropped 30 percent from 25,000 to
17,000. These numbers are the direct result of hard work by the American people to put an end to
drunk driving. Although it seems that much is being done to keep drunk drivers off the road, it
seems that there is little being done to keep repeat offenders off the road. Although there are no
nation wide studies available on repeat offenders, individual states keep their own records.
In Ohio, for instance, 32 percent of drunk drivers are repeat offenders, and they are responsible for
55 percent of all drunk driving convictions. There have been a variety of ideas on how to keep
these repeat offenders of the road, ranging from a specialized license plate (used in Ohio) to
mandatory jail sentences. On average, police estimate that for every 2,000 people who drive
drunk, one is convicted of a DUI. Each state has its own individual way with coping with drunk
drivers and repeat offenders, but the facts don t lie. Studies show that every 30 minutes, a person
is killed in the United States by a drunk driver, this is the most important reason to keep drunks off
the streets. Drunk driving is stopped the same way it is started, with individual decisions.
Organizations such as M.A.D.D.(Mothers Against Drunk Driving) and
S.A.D.D.(Students Against Drunk Driving) are

Hadrians Wall Analysis
The essay is going to discuss the purpose of the Hadrian s Wall built. Hadrian was the first to
build a wall, eighty miles long to separate the Romans from the barbarians (the Picts / the
Brigantes). (1) It took three of Britain s legions around 15,000 men 6 years to construct since AD
122 which is located at the narrowest part of the Island with a natural ridge at the central part which
offers a great position on defense. (2) Edward N. Luttwak (1976) has indicated the wall s
fortifications including the forts, trenches and soldiers house did suggest a military motivation. (3)
However, from the duration and pattern of the construction, it does not seem to build for defensive
purposes only, but furthermore A multipurpose. The essay will be focusing on the wall s political
purpose, thus indicating that it was not built for defensive purposes originally. The military purpose
was not the first consideration when the wall was built. In fact, before the installation of the wall,
the northern tribes have been defeated at the battle of Mons Graupius at AD 85 by the Romans. At
the same time, the Romans pushed northwards to the current Scotland. Yet, the terrain increasingly
mountainous and boggy obstruct the occupation, the Romans couldn t consolidate their economic
profit and slowly retreating to the southward. (4) It shows the Romans did have the ability to
defeated intruders even without the wall, therefore the need of the wall is not urgent. Basically, it

Santiago s Heroism Essay
Heroism is different to each person. To someone it might be to look impressive, or act above the
ordinary. To someone else, it might be have amazing strength or courage in danger situation. Or
maybe it might be having all of the heroic qualities, such as doing brave actions or having great
determination. I can t tell someone what the definition of heroism because there are just so many.
But to me, heroism can be well described in this quote from Arthur Ashe. True heroism is
remarkably sober, very undramatic. It is not the urge to surpass all others at whatever cost, but the
urge to serve others at whatever cost.
This quote is one basic theme, selflessness. Selflessness is to not push others out of your way so
that you can be the hero, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

However, Santiago, though he endured much over his story, I didn t see him as a hero. He wasn
t holding on to that fish for hours and hours for someone else s benefit, it was for his. Nor was he
catching that fish to feed or support his family. He knew the danger of going out far to sea but he
still tested his old age and strength. I am a strange old man. But are you strong enough for truly
big fish? I think so. And there are many tricks. (16) Yes, the old man did risk his life. But was it
necessary? Did he need to go out to sea just to catch a fish when he hadn t caught one in 84
days? In addition, the old man didn t act heroically; he acted stupid and foolish by going out to
sea just for a fish not knowing if his little boat would hold it. In this case, it didn t. He risked his
life and worked exceedingly hard for no reason, when he could have stayed close by and maybe
have caught a smaller fish to support himself. Santiago was described in the book as old and
wrinkled, and the other things that come with age. Generally to me, age comes with wisdom and
knowledge. I think this is true in the old man s case because he was obviously an expert when it
comes to fishing. This is why I have trouble that he wouldn t seek assistance before going out on
his skiff. It was pride that kept him from doing things the normal way.
For example, Half fish, he said. Fish that you

  • 3. Socratic Christian Philosophy David Talcott Analysis While reading the article Socratic Christian Philosophy, I have come to the conclusion that Socrates knows much about how to follow a god and how not sway away from his beliefs, but his arrogance and god like personality come in the way of that because at some points it seems as though Socrates believes he is as high as god. David Talcott, the author of this article, even mentions that he believes that Socrates may have a gift which makes him as divine as god. Talcott suggests that Socrates knows a lot about that Christian philosophybefore it was even created but I believe how Socrates goes about presenting this information is a problem because he seems too arrogant. For example, in the Apology, Socrates says he believes poets are not wise... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This voice is not a part of Socrates thinking process but rather a voice bestowed onto him by the gods and even if it was a part of his mental process, it is still a gift from a greater power. Talcott also brings up the point that once Socrates receives instructions from god he will follow it through completely like when he went on the mission to prove he was not the wisest of all men as god said he was and he interrogated all of the wise men he could think of until coming up with the conclusion that they are not wise which ended up being one of the reasons he was subjected to death. Socrates obeys god no matter where it leads him and believes that it is better to harm yourself rather than to harm others because when you harm others you are also ruining your soul in the process which is a belief shown in many branches of Christianity. Socrates believing he speaks to a god is problematic because it makes him believe that he is higher than all other beings which ends up with him judging others based on what he believes is wise or not ... • 5. Class Reflection Essay I went to Ning s informational speech section. The classroom is located room 209 at Williams Building (WMS). It took me a while to find this building because I seldom go to the area around Westcott Fountain. Williams is large compound building that served as lecture halls and classrooms for undergraduate s general education courses. Room 209 is where the public speech class took place. It is a middle size classroom in the corner and next to a lounge area. I saw some of the students rehearsal their informative speech at the lounge when I arrived early and wait for Ning to come. Ning s class has 15 students with varying major background. On the day I visited, most of the students came to class on time. Three students arrived about 5 minutes late, and Ning said she would mark them as late. Ning told me that too many late marks would negatively affect the student s participation final grade. I learned a lot of teaching skills from Ning, such as how to start the class lively, how to organize student s speech and how to claim down students when facing unpredicted things. Ning started her class by showing a video clip of humorous talk show. I think it is an effective way to reduce student s pre performance anxiety. She then overviewed what the class was going to do and gave updates on class assignments. Then, Ning asked volunteer students give the first speech. PARC s visualization technology has gone through many phases, from point and click graphical user interface (GUI), widgetization to the Focus+Context/fisheye technique. Finally, in 1995, Intel funded PARC s visualization project, Web Forager , a visualization tool that would facilitate the sorting of large quantities of data on the Internet. No further development was made after this venture as the team lacked the direction necessary for proceeding beyond the initial stage. Similarly, linguist technology was a research project in the PARC since the late 1970 s. A total of 40 patents were yielded from Xerox s collective research in linguistics. Xerox s search built upon substantial academic research. Language structure in the technology was represented by advanced mathematics, finite state technology. Connolly and Begg (2009) defines a data model as an integrated collection of concepts for describing and manipulating data, relations between data, and constraints on the data in an organization. Simply, a data model is a representation of how the different types of data interact. They can be categorized into three main broad aspects, which are object based, record based and physical data model. The object based model include the Entity Relationship, Semantic, Functional and Object Oriented Model. The record based comprise of Relational Data Model, Network Model and the Hierarchical Model. The physical data model describe how data is stored in the computer, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Similar to the network data model, data is represented as collections of records and relationships are represented by sets. This model only permits a node to have one parent, this makes it efficient for searching if all desired access paths follow the parent child linkages. This makes one to many relationships well represented within the hierarchical model. The main difference between the network data model and the hierarchical data model, is that in the network model a child could have a many to many relationship with its parent entity. Similarly, just like the network data model, the hierarchical data model is simple and easy to design. The main limitation of record based data models like the network and hierarchical is they do not provide adequate facilities for explicitly specifying constraints on the data (Connolly 2009). Another limitation of the network and hierarchical model is that they require the user to have knowledge of the physical database being accessed, whereas the relational data model provides a substantial amount of data independence. • 8. Personal Code Of Chivalry Essay Personal Code of Chivalry Have you ever had an event change your life? When I took my first steps onto the marching band field for the first time, I realized I had found a place where I belonged. I quickly realized how the lessons I learned in marching band would become an integral part of my personal code of chivalrya code that would guide not only my steps on the field but into my future as well. These three codes are: lead by example all the time, punctuality breeds perfection, and you can t succeed if you have people do it for you. These codes have become values that exemplify not only the team member that I have become but also the adult I will continue to be. Just at Knights of the Roundtable had to uphold a Code of Chivalry rules to live by so do members of marching band. A critical one of these rules is to lead by example. This means that no matter what, someone is always around to observe your leadership. If people need help and you are doing nothing to help them, they remember. If you walk away with a job undone, they remember. If you choose to build people up to help them reach their potential, they remember. Be the leader that shows their life code through example. If you get there on time, you won t start on time, which means you are running late. Not exactly a way to lead by example, is it? If you are late, you have essentially killed off your goals of accomplishing what you wanted. It leads to the destruction of your first code of being the leader always. The rifles ultimately balance each other in separate categories. Both rifles came into service in the 2000 s. Of the two, I believe the AK 12 is the better rifle. The AK 12 is a somewhat heavy rifle. At 3.3 KG, it is heavier than the M16A4. It has a shorter length than the M16A4. It s barrel is also shorter, at 415mm, it is shorter than the M16A4 as well. The AK 12 has a fully automatic system, while the M16A4 only has a 3 round burst or semi automatic. Since it is automatic, it has a higher fire rate. Relationship between Teller and Tale in The Merchant s Tale and The Wife of Bathe A relationship is usually seen between the teller of a tale and the tale that he or she decides to share. Chaucer s pilgrim, the Merchant, uses his feelings on marriage to teach a lesson in his tale. The Wife of Bathe also relies on her life experience to tell her tale. The two relationships in the tales can then be compared. In his prologue, the Merchant recounts how he despises being married. He has only been married for two months and he regrets the decision he made because his wife is the worst of all. He takes these negative views of marriage into his tale. The husband is the one who gets the bad end of the deal, which is exactly how the Merchant feels in his marriage. The Wife of Bathe has married five men and has a completely different opinion of marriage than the Merchant. She enjoys being married and wants to have control over the marriage. This isn t exactly what she finds in her life, therefore, in her tale, she creates the ending to her approval. Although it is the wife who is always looking for a husband in her personal life, in the Wife s tale, it is the man who is forced to find what it is that all women desire. In the end he is obligated to marry, while the Wife is always excited to marry her next husband. The Wife wants the woman in the marriage to make the decisions and to have power, which is also seen in the old woman in her tale. In her tale, the old woman basically tricks the man into marrying her, and then into kissing her. This gives her control and she can then reveal her true self. Both of the tellers attitudes can easily be seen in the tales they share. The Merchant gives the negative view of marriage while the Wife s encounter is triumphant for women. The Wife enjoys being married, which is evident by the number of husbands that she has had. The Merchant has been married two months and hates every part of it. Throughout life we are told to be respectful and keep our mouths shut. In today s society, there s always the uncertainty of how people should deal with problems. During certain situations, tolerance is not always the right way to find a solution to a problem. There are often other ways to come to a compromise. To begin with, tolerance can be portrayed as weakness and people will take advantage of others. When Elie and his father were taken away to a concentration camp, his father made the mistake of asking where the toilets were. The gypsy that was in charge of the group treated the father as if he had no soul and slapped [him] with such force that he fell down and then crawled back to his place on all fours (Wiesel 39). Elie s father was frightened and did not stand up for himself, he frantically tried to escape. The leaders saw the brawl and concluded that he was a pathetic individual and concluded that they could treat him however. Later on, his father obtained the reputation of being a weak individual which, led to him being beat up more than most of the inmates. Technology in transportation is not something new, technology have continually had in impact on travel and transportation. This impact can be see ranging from the Viking Longships , which were very fast for their times. These Longships facilitated the Vikings expansion and helped them conquer new lands that were hundreds of miles away from their homes (Vikings: Vikings at sea). The railroads in the 1800 s also were a new form of technology, and this technology provided an opportunity for individuals to move farther west to new lands and new opportunities that they never thought would have existed. In our day and age, technology will continue to have a massive impact on transportation. For example, Einstein and Mozart were both considered geniuses but Mozart s talent came naturally where as Einstein had mentors help him along the way. Pythagoras was known as the first pure mathematician. So was Pythagorasconsidered a genius? Pythagoras was most well known for what we know today as the Pythagorean Theoremand also that the sum of all the angles in a triangle is equal to two right angles. This is my reasoning on why I think Pythagoras was not considered what we think a genius is. Pythagoras was born around 569 BC on the island of Samos, Greece. These are some more things that Pythagoras was credited for: The sum of all the angles on a triangle is equal to two right angles, constructing figures of a given area and geometrical algebra, finding of irrational numbers, the five regular solids, and that Earth was a sphere in the middle of the Universe. So, by the information above you would probably think that Pythagoras was considered a genius. Plus some of the things he was credited for were very unlikely that he even did them. For example the five regular solids (Tetrahedron, Cube, Octahedron, Icosahedron, and Dodecahedron) that he was credited for he only knew how to construct the first 3 above and not the icosahedron and the dodecahedron. (Douglass) Also his discovery of irrational numbers was highly unlikely due to his philosophy of all things are numbers and numbers to Pythagoras were the ratio of two whole numbers. So overall , I think Pythagoras was a very intelligent man. Pythagoras had to be very bright to be the master of the Pythagorean School and have one of his students be Plato, a famous Greek philosopher. But was he a genius? I think the Pythagorean Theorem was a genius theory and the Babylonians in Mesopotamia who did the theory first should be considered geniuses, but not Pythagoras. I think this way mainly because ... • 16. The Supply And Demand For Metals Found At The Ocelot Mine The supply and demand for metals found at the Ocelot Mine will vary by commodity although the demand for all three is increasing. Zinc, in particular, shows the most potential for increase, as many of the world s main producers are closing between the years 2015 and 2020 [16]. It is believed that this will result in a gap between supply and demand. Already the demand is outweighing the supply, and as such, zinc prices have increased dramatically. Silver and lead also show growth potential, largely due to high demand from developing nations and the increase in the industrial sectors of these countries. Being an operator in Peru also requires understanding what countries are buying Peru s exports. China received 16.65% of the total value of Peru s exports in 2012 [22]. As such, the continued growth of Peru s economy is largely dependent on the wellbeing of China s economy. A slowdown in their economy would reduce the ability of producers to export their products. An example of this can be seen in the financial crash of 2008 to 2009, which had a devastating impact on the production of galvanized steel sheets. The global production decreased by 40% during this crisis, as depicted in Figure 8.10. Since then the market has recovered approximately 65%, primarily due to the growth in Chinese steel production [17]. This highlights the sensitivity of the zinc market to the wellbeing of the Chinese economy. Figure 8.5: Historic production of galvanized steel [17] 8.4. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 17. The Nazi Regime Used Propaganda Posters The Nazi regime used propaganda posters to primarily expose the German people to a new way of thinking. In charge of distributing and overseeing the creation of a majority of the propagandist posters was Dr. Paul Joseph Goebbels. Born in Rheydt, Germany he created and ran the Third Reich Ministry of Public Enlightenment and Propaganda. There, his goal was to play upon the hopes, fears, and frustrations of the German people. Then, he wished to harness those same emotions to spark a German movement and war. Goebbels believed that the written word, instead of the spoke word, was responsible or countless great events in history. In his posters he hoped that: Today every German soldier, worker, and pleasant knows what we are fighting for. This is not a war for thorn and altar; it is a war for wheat and bread, for a full table three times a day, a war of achievement of material means necessary for a solution of the social question. There was fire in his blood, and it would end up clearly manifesting in his work on propaganda posters. Initially Nazi propagandists used niche marketing to connect their posters to all aspects of German life. Under niche marketing, they concentrated their efforts on smaller, yet influential groups of people. Some examples included woman working in homes, farmers, factory workers, and war veterans. If the government could get the support of those distinct groups, then they knew they would have a strong support base to rely and rally on for ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In the present paper, we considered the dynamical evolution of protons and electrons in response to parallel electron firehose instability excitation. Even though the free energy source for the instability is provided by excessive electron temperature anisotropy, because of the fact that unstable modes operate in low frequency range, the protons respond to the instability excitation as well. Kinetic instabilities driven by electronand proton temperature anisotropies, of which the present electron firehose instability is a part, are known to play significant roles in regulating the temperature anisotropy upper bound as the solar wind expands out into the interplanetary space from its solar source. They also claim that there are 23 million fecal coliform bacteria in one gram of dog waste and that one pile of dog waste can take a year or more to fully breakdown. Cervantes, through the character of Don Quixote, illustrates to readers how we as human beings often make reality to be whatever we want it to be. Don Quixote is a perfect example of created reality. The character Don Quixote is real, and he lives in a real world, but everything that he sees is exaggerated in his mind. It all begins with his name. Don Quixote was not actually a Don. He was a wealthy, intelligent farmer who read too many books about knighthood and went crazy. I believe that Sancho despises the fact that his master might be mad, but accepts some of the lunacy to make his job easier. Despite his delusions, however, Don Quixote is fiercely intelligent and, at times, seemingly sane. No single analysis of Don Quixote s character can adequately explain the split between his madness and his sanity. It may be possible that Don Quixote really does know what is going on around him and that he merely chooses to ignore the world and the consequences of his disastrous actions. At several times in the novel, Cervantes validates this suspicion that Don Quixote may know more than he admits. On the other hand, we can read Don Quixote s character as a warning that even the most intelligent and otherwise practically minded person can fall victim to his own foolishness. Castiglione supports the idea in, The Book of the Courtier, that a person can be constructed and that people should adhere to an ideal and try to emulate it, even if it is impossible to become. One way in which a country expresses its culture is through food. Since cultures change from region to region, one can see that it would be virtually impossible for a firm competing on a global scale to have one product which hails all markets and appeals to everyone s preferences.
