management issue I plan to address relates to other project assistants and the remote site monitor

I chose this book in hope that it could help me understand the difference between managing and
leading. In addition, I wanted to gain more knowledge and tools to help myself grow as a leader

The active participation of the people regarding their political culture is paramount to the durability
and vitality of their regime. That is, a population that fosters a positive spirit in support of their
government and ardently engages mutually within it will ultimately support a sturdy democracy.
Furthermore, a democracy standing on the virtues of trust and civic engagement within its people
will be able to stand tall and powerful because it s people will be able to cooperate to essentially get
more accomplished.
To begin, the primary element that defines a strong democracy is social capital. Social capital is
defined as, ...features of social organization, such as trust, norms, and networks, that can improve
the efficiency of society by facilitating coordinated actions, (Putnam 167). Putnam posits a very
effective example concerning social capital: ...a group whose members manifest trustworthiness and
place extensive trust in one another will be able to accomplish much more than a comparable group
lacking that trustworthiness and trust, (Putnam 167). In this example he highlights the importance
of a relationship built around trust and how it lends itself to getting more accomplished.
Through social capital, there is a spontaneous cooperation within the people. Spontaneous
cooperation emphasizes the value of trust, and the importance of being both reliable and honest as a

A full term infant is born with iron stores that reflect the mother s iron levels. If the mother
consumes an iron rich diet during pregnancy, the fetus builds iron stores to last the first 4 6
months of life. By 6 months, a breastfed infant needs an additional iron source, at which time,
iron fortified infant cereals can meet this need. The AAP recommends iron fortified formula for
all formula fed babies. Preterm infants have lower iron stores at birth that are depleted around 2 3

care was to be abolished with the introduction of community care. The Patients Charter (Great

The term designer children is unnerving at first to many. The idea of parents designing the genetic
makeup of their offspring makes children seem like a commodity in a genetic free market. Thoughts
of a dystopian society like the one in the film Gattaca come to mind. However, taking an immediate
repugnant stand against genetic enhancement is not well founded. A more open minded inspection
of the issue reveals that the idea of parents improving their children s life prospects through genetic

Genetic enhancement is just another form of enhancement which has the benefit of the child in
mind. There are many others: education, medical care, extra curricular activities, etc. As Goering
puts it, a parent does not blink when they give the child vitamin supplements, vaccinations, and
dental enhancements (e.g., braces) [Goering, 2]. Imposing parental treatment is a part of being
human and is ethical when the intentions are beneficent. There is no real difference in changing
attributes of a child for the better at the genome level, or once the child is born. If administering
growth hormones to young children to prevent them from being too short [Simon] is justifiable,
then so is germline genetic modification of height to produce the same result. Or, if parents are fine
with the installation of braces to straighten their child s teeth, then they should be fine with genetic

The part that the reporters omitted or failed to state was that the Muslim soldiers were praying on
a battlefield in Afghanistan. Common sense of the situation meant that the soldiers had to remain
armed at all times in case of an ambush at any time. This is a clear example of the media s biased
and inaccurate reporting (Martinez 1, Ba Yunus 1).
While talking about soldiers, I would like to talk about another western media s misconception
i.e. Jihad. The ideas of war and violence have become related to the Islamic religion from the
media. Jihad is so often apparent in the news because the media thinks it is Islam s justification
for war and violence. The Quran (Muslim Holy Book) says Fight for the sake of Allah those that

Throughout the Gospel we are exposed to the notions of materialism and wealth and we can see
how it is easy for this emphasis on such temptations to colour and erode the spiritual priority that
should characterize the church (AG, 2014). In the biblical passage, Jesus reminds the rich young
man that obedience to the Ten Commandmentsis necessary in order to inherit eternal life . The

The Concentration Of Reactants During The Fastest Rate Of...
It was hypothesised that the solution at 80 degrees C and the greatest concentration of reactants
would result in the fastest rates of reaction and reaction time. This was because of the scientific
reasoning that at larger temperatures and concentrations atomic particles collide with greater
energy and more frequently. The data collected from the experiment supports the hypothesis. It was
observed that the largest concentration of reactants, 0.2M and 0.5M, had the highest reaction rateof
0.00484 mol/L/s, and quickest induction phase, 1 second. Also, the slowest reaction time was
21.51 seconds and was the reaction between KIO3 at 0.05M and Na2S2O5 at 0.125M, which were
the smallest amounts of reactant. In addition, the highest temperature tested, which was 80 degrees,
produced the fastest reaction time with 4.58 seconds, while 70 degrees ranked close behind in
second. These results align with previous data and theories, which state that as temperature and
concentration rise, the time it takes to react generally decreases and the reaction rate increases
(Wilbraham, 2002), (UC Davis, n.d.).
From the testing and results several major trends and relationships were discovered. The first
observation, which supports the hypothesis, is the relationship between concentration of reactants
and reaction rate. As concentration increased, the reaction rate also increased in direct proportion.

For this week s post, pick a character from Anna in the Tropics and tell me what you think is their
most interesting scene in the second act of the play. It could be the most emotional, revealing,
