Introduction: In this experiment, a series of гЂ–CuгЂ—^(2+) solutions of different concentrations
were prepared using the dilution technique. The principles of spectroscopy of and appropriate usage
of Spec 20 was taught. The spectrophotometer instrument was used to measure the amount of light
that passes through a solution. Beer Lambert law was applied to determine the concentration of
гЂ–CuгЂ—^(2+) in an unknown solution. Serial dilution technique was used to prepare a less
concentrated solution from a more concentrated solution. Molarity (M) and moles of a solute was

In Part 2: Measuring the Absorbance of Standard Copper (II) Solutions Calibration Curve , the
percent transmittance (%T) and absorbance for the 0.500 M, 0.200 M, and 0.050 M CuSO4
standard solutions was measured using the calibrated Spec 20. To create the calibration curve for
гЂ–CuгЂ—^(2+) solutions, the absorbance values versus the concentration or molarity were
plotted.
In Part 3: Preparing Copper (II) solutions of Different Concentrations , 20.0 mL of a 0.500 M
solution was from CuSO4 * 5H2 O was made. The solid was weighted and was added to the 100
mL beaker. About 15 mL of water was added to the same beaker. The mixture was transferred
back and forth between the graduated cylinder and a beaker to dissolve all the crystals. The
solution was transferred back to the graduated cylinder. The beaker was rinsed well with a small
amount of distilled water and the rinsed solution was transferred to the same cylinder containing the
dissolved solid. After adding the solution, the total volume in the cylinder was about less than 20
mL. With the use of the Pasteur pipette, the water was added until the volume in the cylinder was
20 mL. This was the first solution.
To create the homogeneous solution, the mixture was transferred back and forth between the
beaker and the graduated cylinder. After the solution was mixed well, small amount of solution was
put into the test tube. The test tube was placed into the chamber of the Spec 20 to measure the
percent transmittance.

To let the liver function properly it is important to detect cirrhosis in early stage. Now a days
several noninvasive imaging techniques have been developed recently for detection of liver
cirrhosis such as CT, USG, MRI. In this paper we have used CT scan images of liver cirrhosis and
applied some statistical operations on those CT images such as mean, median, standard deviation
and mode.

(2).Image Preprocessing : It is common practice to perform preprocessing on acquired CT scan
images before extracting the features of images. Here we have applied the statistical operation on

The aim of this step is to improve the quality of the image that suppress unwanted distortion and
enhance the image features which is important for further processing. Such as increase or decrease
brightness, shape, contrast, remove the noise from the image.

Pascal which allows the reader to see how obscure a concept God is by showing that it is

is infinitely incomprehensible, since, having neither parts nor limits, He has no affinity to us. We
are then incapable of knowing either what He is or if He is (pg 3). This is an important point in
