Friar Lawrence To Blame Quotes
Friar Lawrence s role in Romeo and Juliet Who is to blame for the deaths in the end of the play
Romeo and Juliet? Friar Lawrence is a main character who definitely affects the storyline. Some
people might believe that Romeo and Juliet are to blame, but I believe, ultimately, Friar
Lawrence is to blame. Romeo could be to blame because he stupidly fell in love and made Friar
Lawrence marry him and Juliet. Romeo s careless actions brought devastation to the Capulet and
Montague s families. He had many near death experiences, but people other than him died. Friar
Lawrence is suspicious because of his role in the book, how he carried the blame, and how
different the story would be without him. Friar Lawrence s role in the play makes him suspicious...

Juliet wanted to get out of an arranged marriage with Paris so badly, she wanted to kill herself.
She was also distraught because Romeo was banned from Verona, and she can t see him. Friar
Lawrence helped her plan to fake her death, he gave her a potion to make her fall asleep for forty
two hours. Take thou this vial, being then in bed, When presently through all thy vein shall run a
cold and drowsy humor; for no pulse shall keep his native progress, but surcease; no warmth, no
breath, shall testify thou livest... (Shakespeare 818). This quote helps show that Friar was
helping Juliet. He gives her a vial of potion that she will take to hibernate. Because of this,
Romeo believes Juliet is truly dead and he kills himself, wanting to be with her. During this time
of chaos, Friar Lawrence was supposed to go down to the cellar and get Juliet so she didn t
suffocate, but he didn t help Juliet. He let her kill herself, which is exactly what happened. Yea,
noise? Then I ll be brief. O happy dagger! This is thy sheath; there rust, and let me die
(Shakespeare 842). This quote shows that Friar Lawrence was there and he just wanted them out
of there because he heard a noise; he only cares about himself and his safety. He didn t even
bother to save Juliet when she was going crazy and stabbed herself. He left her alone and attempted
to get out of the tomb. He

The Concept Of The Prokaryote Valid And Useful Or...
Is the concept of the prokaryote valid and useful or fundamentally flawed?
The term prokaryote was coined in 1925 by Г‰douard Chatton in his 1925 paper Pansporella
perplex: Reflections on the Biology and Phylogeny of the Protozoa. (Chatton, 1925). Since then the
term, when paired with its dichotomous counterpart eukaryote , has formed the fundamental basis
for classification in biology. However in recent years the concept of the prokaryote has been wildly
contested as being inaccurate (amongst other things), and the dichotomy of eukaryote/prokaryote
based on a misleading and ultimately incorrect distinction that is phylogenetically contestable. This
essay will examine the validity and usefulness of the concept of the prokaryote, as well as evaluate
why the term or even the abolition of the term may be important in different contexts.
The definition of a prokaryote is simply a single celled organism with no nuclear membrane and
consequently no membrane bound organelles. It is therefore logical to assume that one would find
a nucleus and membrane bound organelles in a eukaryotic cell. Although the expression is widely
accepted by myriad biologists and microbiologists alike and has been since the birth of the term,
the word has come under much scrutiny due to its negative definition; as in prokaryote describes
that the cell is lacking characteristic eukaryotic features rather than being defined in its own terms
(Woese, 1994; Pace, 2006). This topic is highly

Coffee Consumption and Prostate Cancer Aggressiveness...
There has been always an indication that coffee could be related in preventing cancer risk.
Therefore, many studies were involved to check the accuracy of coffee and its effect on cancer
especially prostate cancer (CaP). According to the article Coffee Consumption and Prostate Cancer
Aggressiveness among African Caucasian American in a Population Based Study, there were two
studies that examined the effects of Coffeeon cancer risk; Meta analysis and a report from the
Health Professionals follow up study (Arab, Su, Ang, Fontham, Bensen, Mohler, 2011). The meta
analysis indicated a protective relationship between coffee consumption and risk of CaP. The report

On the other hand, members that were excluded from the study are the ones whom under the

Also, an open ended question was required to be answered as a main admissibility criterion, which
was What is your Race? Male membered should self identify and respond as either African
American Black or Caucasian American White.
According to the article, the study consisted of numerous nurses that controlled a series of
structured questionnaires regarding background characteristics, screening history, diet, and,
physical activity. In addition, two diagnostic tests Gleason Grade and Prostate Specific Antigen
(PSA) were applied to identify the level of aggressiveness of the cancer. For instance, the cases
were ordered as follow; 1 equal high aggressive (Gleason sum ≥ 8, or PSA 20 ng/ml). 2 equal
less aggressive (Gleason sum 7, or PSA 10ng/ml), and 3 equal intermediate aggressive. Body
Mass Index (BMI) was one of the major indicators for this study and members were classified as
underweight, normal weight, overweight, or obese. In order to test for significant difference

The Way To Wealth Analysis
Term Paper: The Way to Wealth
This past weekend I was fortunate enough to go on a trip to Washington DC to attend an
International Convention for Phi Theta Kappa Honors society. Little did I know that at about 4
a.m on a McDonalds run in the heart of DC I would have my ah ha moment for my Term paper.
Our Uber (taxi) driver arrived to pick us up at our hotel and I was fortunate enough to hear his story
about his journey from Africa to America. He has been living in Washington DC now for 27
years and it almost seems as if he incorporated every ounce of knowledge from Benjamin
Franklins Way to Wealth . Our Uber driver informed us that he came to America to give himself a
better quality of life. He wanted to make a name for himself, and to provide for his family. This man
in a way incorporates Benjamin Franklins quote early to bed, early to rise makes a man healthy,
wealthy, and wise . Although he doesn t have quite the same sleep schedule as Benjamin Franklin
he does live by the same ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Our Driver informed us that he Ubers for around 15 hours a day, taking breaks periodically
throughout the day. Like Benjamin Franklin he is at work for the majority of the day to make a
name for himself. Although he only makes one dollar per mile he ends up with around 1500 a
week. Benjamin Franklin s The Way to Wealth outlines the American identity, and this man that I
met embodies that identity. It is an identity that s backbone is hard work, and opportunities for
greatness are a plenty. America truly is The land of Opportunity .
I only take breaks when it is completely necessary, the other night I was getting a little tired so I
pulled into a spot reclined the chair in my car and took a little rest. Our driver in no way wastes
his time, he sleeps when he absolutely needs it. Maximizing as many hours in the day that he is
able to. In Benjamin Franklins Way to Wealth the concept of not wasting the hours of the day is
highlighted time after time. Benjamin

Boom Bust Town
Part A: A gristmill is used for grinding grains like wheat corn rye and oats. How the gristmill
worked was water flowed into the buckets on the waterwheel to make it turn. Gears and rods
connected to the waterwheel to the grindstones which turned and ground the grain into flour. A
miller ran the grist mill and had to know how to grind the grain properly and fix all the machinery.

approximate population of whitby was surveyed last in 2011 and the population totalled to

People choose these locations because they are near schools and areas where people can shop,

another reason why people move into the Durham Area. The main industries in the durham region

Pepsi Of Coca Cola And Pepsi
As far as marketers are concerned, there are few American companies with marketing campaigns
that rival those of Coca Cola and Pepsi. The longevity and prosperity of these two competitors is
enough to inspire countless business to model their own companies after these icons. This paper
will detail some of the business aspects that have helped Coke and Pepsi to thrive, as well as
considering what mistakes have been made in their pursuit of success. Learning from the
successes and failures of other companies can help a new business to know which roads of
marketing, expansion, etc. to explore and which might best be avoided. One might first
consider Coca Cola, a company which has been trademarked since 1886. While the business has
gone through many changes over the years, the Coca Cola name has remained and is now
recognizable around the world. Coca Cola is not only the name of the company, which makes a
variety of products including the soda that is its namesake. When it comes to targeting the
current consumer, Coca Cola finds that their product is most popular among the older crowd
(marketing considers as older anyone over age 35). (Turner). Some of the most valuable brands
in that particular demographic are Coca Cola, Microsoft, GE, IBM, Starbucks and Apple
(Turner). Part of the reason for Coke s longevity is due to the company becoming, over the years,
an icon of American History. Most members of the over 35 demographic possess fond memories of

Analysis Of The Movie The Disneyfication Of Broadway
Introduction A trip to 42nd street circa 1990 was certainly no destination fit for a family. Walls of
graffiti adorn the peeling awnings of storefronts and theatres promise private dances and live nude
women. Porn shops dotted the city block with colorful invitations to sex hotlines and signs
prohibiting entry to anyone under the age of eighteen (Wollman 445). Decades earlier, during the
Prohibition era, speakeasies and brothels lined the city, creating New York s red light district.
Today s Times Square, however, bares no hint of resemblance to its former image of sleaze and
mystery. Neon lights that once illustrated silhouettes of burlesque dancers have since been
fashioned into the welcoming faces of cartoon characters. Signs visible... Show more content on

The commencement of renovations, then, relied heavily on the support of the city and state of New
York s investment, and because of the potential profit to be made from tourism, the state obliged
(Wollman 1). This investment greatly contributed to The Walt DisneyCompany s decision to lease
the New Amsterdam Theatre. Prior to 1994, the theatre spent decades without use and had fallen
into decay. Professor of Performance Studies and academic, Elizabeth Wollman detailed the deal
between Disney and the city in an article analyzing the interaction between theatre and corporations.
She explained:
Disney agreed to spend approximately $6 million to renovate the huge, ninety five year old New
Amsterdam on 42nd Street, Disney would enjoy exclusive use of the New Amsterdam, which it
now occupies under a long term, forty nine year lease and currently uses to house the musical
version of The Lion King. The city and state agreed to lend Disney an additional $28 million in
low interest loans in return for 2 percent of all ticket receipts from shows staged at the theater.
(Wollman 447)
With its acquisition of the theatre Disney opened Beauty and the Beast, a stage musical based on
the company s popular musical film, and not long after its opening did investors such as Time
Warner and Madame Tussauds hop on the 42nd street bandwagon (Nelson 74). The reopening of the
New Amsterdam Theatre marked a transformation to the New Times Square which, as

At the start of this scene, as James is heading toward the graves it is mainly close up shots of
James, and then it begins to include shots of James family as well. These shots indicate that his
family are supporting him and the shots of him show that he is the main subject. As James and his
family are walking along the path towards the graves a very patriotic orchestral music is being
played, the rhythm is based on their footsteps,
every step James takes there is a beat of a drum. As they enter the grave yard the camera rises up
above the grave stones and shows the vast number of graves. The camera then moves to the
graveyard and whilst this is happening the music is still the same orchestral music but the beat
of the drum is heavier. As the camera moves over the grave stone American flag, this shows how
patriotic this event is. The effect of this is it hits you as to how many people have died
pointlessly and a feeling of empathy for James because of the loss of his friends. Then James
Ryan falls to his knees in front of one gravestone and he begins to cry. This is a close up shot of
him then the transition begins. The camera falls into James eyes and then you can hear the ocean,
the waves crashing and the sound of engines. This gives you a feeling of what it is like to be
where they are. This sets the scene for this moment; the camera comes onto a troop carrier, the

In order to reach this long term life goal of mine, I will need to develop my own education plan. To
begin with I will need to graduate high school. It is currently my senior year and I only have about
6 months until graduation. A few of the steps that I have taken include applying for colleges and
the FAFSA application. These first two steps are crucial because they will determine where I
continue my education and if I will be able to afford it or how much debt I will be in. I have
thought about several different colleges that I would like to go to and my first option would be
Grand Canyon University(GCU). If I can t make it into GCU then my next option would be Cal
State Fullerton, Cal State Long Beach, or Cal State Dominguez Hills. Getting into a University

them but if I don t, then my last option would be to go to Cypress or Fullerton community college

need an Army that is trained on making decisions, able to anticipate needs and able to be proactive
in accomplishing tasks even when unexpected duties arise. The MDMP sets the Army up for
success in getting to this point. Without the MDMP, leaders will struggle to make crucial decisions
and they will certainly struggle to make them under pressure during time sensitive missions.
Not just our own history but the history of other countries has shown that running military
operations without planning properly can result in inconceivable losses. At the National Defense
Executive Reserve Conference on November 14, 1957, Dwight D. Eisenhower was quoted as
stating: I heard long ago in the Army: plans are worthless, but planning is everything. The
MDMP is a single, established, and proven analytical process (US Department of the Army,
1997). The process is crucial to our success not just because of the course of action (COA)
developed out of it but more so because of what we learn out of the process along the way.

Genetic Disorders
Genetic disorders are a topic in biology that can not be avoided. The fact is that genetic disorders
can happen in humans, plants or animal. No one and nothing is safe from a genetic disorder. A
genetic disorder can appear in the first years off life, or can appear much later in life when least
expected. A basic principal of biology states that the behavior of chromosomes during the meiosis
process can account for genetic inheritance patterns. There are many reasons for genetic disorders.
To start it is important to understand what a genetic disorderis. It is a mutation in the genetic
material of a person. The mutant gene is transmitted through birth. These genetic mutations can
create serious complications and even death. It is... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However under certain circumstances their have been cases of people developing the disease
from the recessive gene. In simple terms in order for a person to have the disease both parents
must have the trait. If only one parent has the disease there is a chance of the trait being passed
on. Huntington disease is a degeneration of the nervous system. It usually occurs in the older
part of someone life. As the disease becomes worse it could cause uncontrollable movements in
the body. Because the disease causes loss of brain cells, a person can lose memory. It can also
contribute to depression. It takes about to ten to twenty years after the first signs of the disease
for death to follow. Huntington is a dominant disorder. Children of carriers have a fifty percent
chance of inheriting the disease. It is not mandatory for both parents to have the trait for it to be
passed on. Huntington is a single gene disorder. Meaning that even if only one parent has the
trait the disease can still occur. Alzheimer is on the other hand not a single cell gene disorder.
More then one gene mutation can cause this disease. In some cases one gene from each parent is
needed in order for the person to get the disease. All offspring in one generation have a fifty / fifty
chance of getting this disease. Alzheimer is similar to Huntington in that one loses memory. It
usually occurs between the ages of forty and fifty. It currently affects four point five

Ecotourism in South American Countries Essay
Ecotourism in South American Countries
Synopsis:
We are living in a world that tends to put developed nations against indigenous peoples. Foreign
developers seeking cheap labor and natural resources on untouched lands are exploiting cultures that
have survived for centuries on their own.
South America is a continent that possesses rich indigenous culture that is still relatively untouched
by outsiders. Americans have the ability to preserve that heritage through organized efforts to
encourage certain types of visitors to indigenous areas to create an economy that will take the place
of potential mining, logging, and ranching enterprises. That economy is ecotourism.

To act as a means of improving the status of these poor countries, the idea of Ecotourism was
developed. Though the idea of Ecotourism was one with good intentions, the local people in the
countries where Ecotourism has been in effect are not gaining much at all.
History of Ecotourism:
The idea that led to Ecotourism emerged in the late sixties when people like Oswaldo MuГ±oz,
now president of the Ecuadorian Ecotourism Association, started guiding tourists around their
countries to view natural wonders. Many companies began to set up lodging near parks and
reserves and even began to develop tours of those areas. The vision of showing off exotic plants,
animals and the overall natural beauty of countries like Ecuador also attracted them. Yet early on,
this did little to help the local economies. It actually contributed to other problems: In Ecuador, half
of the country s rain forest disappeared, and environmental groups and other organizations
promoting ecotourism flocked to places where endangered species, including many indigenous
populations, lived. But with the growing environmental awareness of

The Battle Of Palo Alto
The Battle of Palo Alto The Battle of Palo Alto was the first major battle of the Mexican
American War. The Mexican Army of the North engaged the United States Army of Occupation
on a prairie near current day Brownsville, Texas. The conflict took place on May 8th, 1846 and
was followed the next by the Battle of Resaca de la Palma, about five miles south. Both battles
took place in an area of disputed ownership and, depending on the side, were on the only battles on
American soil. Thousands of Americans, who changed citizenship and received large tracts of land
from the Mexican government, rebelled in Texas in 1835 for several reasons, including Mexicos

In November of 1845, President Polk named Senator James Slidell of Louisiana as the new
American minster to Mexico (Haecker, 1994), and was sent to secretly negotiate with Mexican
President Jose Joaquin de Herrera. However, he was overthrown by General Mariano Parades y
Arrillaga, Commander of the Army of the North, who denied negotiation with the Americans and
demanded the return of the disputed area of Texas. During this time, Polk ordered General Zachary
Taylor, who was preemptively stationed at Corpus Christi, to move his unit down to Port Isabel at
the mouth of the Rio Grande and Gulf of Mexico. This only increased tensions between the two
nations, which came to a height with the construction of the U.S. Fort Texas on the north bank of
the Rio Grande, opposite the Mexican town of Matamoros, a natural choke point (Carney, 2005).
Up to the War, the American and Mexican armies were about as much the same as they were
different. The American force, renamed the U.S. Army of Occupation, was led by General
Taylor who had severed in the army since the War of 1812 and was known by his men as Old
Rough and Ready. The American Army, organized based on European models, had a strength of
8,613 men and contained only regulars (Carney, 2005). These infantrymen enlisted for five years,
and was made up of 42 percent foreign nationals, of which 50 percent were Irish. The U.S. Army

Cherokee Basket Weaving
Cherokee basket weaving is one of the most popular and recognizable crafts produced by the
Cherokee artists. These baskets are known for the beautiful designs and expert technique that has
been passed down through generations of crafters. In precolonial and colonial times, predominate
material that was used in basketweavingwas rivercane. This was mainly due to the fact that
rivercane was widely available near the south eastern rivers. Also, rivercane was generally easy to
harvest and work with. However, rivercane can hurt the crafter if the individual is not careful due to
the fact that the material can be incredible sharp. Other materials that were used to make baskets
include hickory, white oak, and honeysuckle.
The Cherokee were most famous for their double weaved baskets that were made from
rivercane. Double weave baskets are a double walled basket that have a pattern on the inside and
outside of the basket. This design allowed the baskets to be extremely durable and in some cases
water proof. This form of basket making almost died of but was revitalized by an artist named
Lottie Queen Stamper. Francis Richardson, a governor, collected baskets made by the Cherokee
and collection can be found at the British Museum. Ms. Stamper studies pictures of Richardson s

Discrimination Quotes In Frankenstein
Discrimination in Frankenstein
Have you ever discriminated against someone or been discriminated against because you were
different? Frankenstein is a book that explores society and human behavior when someone different
is introduced. It says that humans are not always willing to introduce someone new to their society
and that sometimes they tend to discriminate against the different one. To show this, the writer used
a monster which was introduced to a human society. This monster is rejected everywhere he goes
because of his difference. He is rejected by his creator, and then he is rejected by the villagers, by
the farmers who the monster had so long admired and in the end by the reader himself.
Unable to endure the aspect of the being I had created, I rushed out of the room .
The writer uses this quote to show that the creator, in this case Victor Frankenstein, is the first to
reject the monster as he rushes out of the room. Victor had worked day and night trying to create
an individual that would be and would look like a human. Once Victor had finished creating this
monster he realized how not human like the monster was and decided to reject him as the book
states: I had desidered it with an ardour that far exceeded moderation; but now that I had finished

rejection of the monster by the villagers symbolizes the rejection of people that belong to a

Mature sclerenchyma cells are dead and have thickened secondary cell walls impregnated with
lignin. It is elastic. The cell cavity or lumen is very small or may disappear completely. There
are two types of sclerenchyma cells. They are sclereids and fibres. Sclereid cells are irregular in
shape, thick, hard, and lignified. Sclereids are commonly found in fruit and seeds. Fibres have
tapering ends, thick walls and rather small lumen. Secondary cell wall impregnated with lignin are
also present. Simple pits are also present. It is abundant in vascular tissue of angiosperm such as
flowering plants. Sclerenchyma is important in supporting tissues in plants. Sclereids account for
the hardness in seeds of the plant. Fibre plays a role in transporting water in the plants.
Xylem is located in the middle section of the of a plant stem. It can be found close with other
transport tissues in plants such as phloem which transports sugars and amino acids in the plant. In
non woody plants, xylem forms bundle with phloem in order words the vascular bundles. Xylem is
thickened with deposits of lignin that provides mechanical support in plants. Protoxylem(primary
xylem) can be grown into metaxylem(secondary xylem) by secondary growth in the actively

Hay Bayler Problem Statement: you have five bales of hay that were weighed in all possible
combinations of two, 1 and 2, 1 and 3, 1 and 4, and so on. The weight combination was written
down without keeping track of which weight matched which pair of bales. The weights are 80, 82,
83, 84, 85, 86, 87, 88, 90, and 91. You need to find out which two bales go with which weight and
how much bales 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 weigh. Are there more than 1 possibility. Process: my group first
did guess and check to try and solve the problem. First we thought that the bales had to be 40 50
because if you had 70+70 it would be out of the range of 80 90 by a lot. Our first guess was that
bale 1=42, 2=43, 3=44, 4=40, and bale 5=45. That didn t work so then we tried doing bale 1=42,
2=43, 3=41, 4=47, and bale 5=44. That also didn t work so then we thought. I thought that maybe
we had to give bales 1 and 2, 2 and 3, 3 and 4, and 4 and 5 one of the weights and see if it works.
We gave 1 and 2 85, 2 and 3 84, 3 and 4 88, and 4 and 5 91. It worked but when we tried to add 1
and 3, 2 and 5, and 1 and 4 it just fell apart. So that theory did not work. The whole class was
having trouble so we did it all together. Our teacher gave us each a number 36 48. I got the number
39. So I started with 39+41=40, then 39+43=82. Then I did 41+43=84 I kept doing it till I found

them because 1) it would not settle the issues in the case, 2) it would deny the Defendants further

both dismissals without and with prejudice and considers the advantages and disadvantages of
both. To choose, which to go with the main question will be balancing the risk of the Court

Kansas courts have imposed expenses as a condition for dismissal in the past. Peterson v. Garney
Const. Co., 2 Kan. App. 2d 587, 588, 584 P.2d 1269, 1271 (1978). In Peterson, the Supreme
Court upheld an imposition of expenses because the Plaintiff sought dismissal right before the
trial began and because it was clear the Plaintiff wished to re file the case. Id. Kansas courts have
been clear that imposing expenses must be connected to the risk of future litigation and if there
is not such a risk then courts should not impose expenses. Brown v. Zackert, 10 Kan. App. 2d
466, 469, 701 P.2d 711, 714 (1985). Courts also normally do not impose expenses if the expenses
such as discovery costs would be useable in future lawsuits as courts consider these costs to not
be a waste. Smith v. Orthopaedic Surgery Associates, P.A., 237 Kan. 546, 550, 701 P.2d 331,
335 (1985). It should be noted that I was only able to find three Kansas cases were expenses
were a condition of a dismissal and so it somewhat unclear how often courts place this condition
on dismissals. The Federal Circuits are also unclear on this subject with some circuits holding
that there is a presumption in favor of expenses, while others have been more restrictive in their
use of this condition. See Belle Midwest, Inc. v. Missouri Prop. Cas. Ins. Guarantee Ass n, 56 F.3d

Abstract:
This study was undertaken to investigate behavioral adaptations of a lizard, Lacertilia, to its
environment. Twelve peeps, representing the lizards, were placed in a habitat with two
microhabitats of different temperatures. Six peeps were placed in one microhabitat, and six in the
other. The internal temperature of these lizards was measured over a period of 20 minutes to see if
their body temperatures matched that of their environment and to make inferences about the
behavioral adaptations the organism might acquire to maintain its body temperature. One

planned based on predictions, manipulative experiments to test predictions, independent variables,
dependent variables, and controls, groups obtained I buttons and peeps, which were used to
simulate the organism. Groups chose one habitat and put 6 peeps in each microhabitat, which
differed in temperature. The I buttons were inserted into each peep and groups waited 20 minutes
until taking the I buttons out. Observations about each microhabitat were recorded. For our
experiment, we tried to find a habitat that had microhabitats of very different temperatures so that
we could clearly see how the organism reacts to different temperatures. Our microhabitats were on
a tree. One of them was on the actual tree, near the leaves. The other was at the base of the tree on
the soil, and we used a lizard, Lacertilia, as our organism.

John K, Thornton s African Dimension Of The Stono Rebellion
On September 9, 1739, the Stono Rebellion took place in the colony of South Carolina. The
slaves, lead by an Angolan named Jemmy, stunned the plantation owners in their revolt against
their oppressive lifestyle. Their goal was to march all the way to Spanish Florida, but they were
eventually stopped by the militia. In total, about 60 white civilians were killed and many more
slaves experienced the same fate. This was such a significant uprising, not only because of the
lack of information we have about rebellions in general, but because it showed that slaves had the
ability to revolt against the harsh lifestyle that was forced upon them. While most historians can
agree that this was one of the most influential revolts, the best way to interpret this event is still
debated. Some historians, like William Stephen, hone in on the aspect of competition in his piece
Spanish Designs and Slave Resistance . While other look at specific factors. For example, John K,
Thornton sees that the best way to view the Stono Rebellionis to look at the African background of
slaves in his essay, African Dimension of the Stono Rebellion . Edward A Pearson, for example,
asserts gender is the way to comprehend this revolt in his essay Rebelling As Men . All of these
historians address important factors of the Stono Rebellion, however in order to best understand the

The Purpose Of Art And Its Felicity
Joseph Anton Koch The purpose of art and its felicity lies both in its aesthetic quality as well is the
instructive capacity of art, wherein the various perspectives employed by artist s help to understand
the particular period in which the work was created and the influences that may have attributed to
the final product. The early 19th centuryin Europe was marked by a desire to return to the
classicism of the Greek and Roman empires as it connoted a sense of stability after the upheaval
of the French revolution which had brought down existing social, political and economic structures
to an end. The work ofJoseph Anton Koch, a German painter who chose to live in Rome and
imbibe the traditions of the classicists shows in his work a clear attachment to the values of linear
composition and idyllic subject matter and this is clearly apparent in his monumental workHeroic
Landscape with Rainbow, now a part of the European gallery at the Metropolitan Museum of Arts in
New York City. This work is an apt illustration of the manner in which the neoclassical tradition of
landscape paintingbecame an important part of the works of European painters of the early 19th
century as a means of portraying the kind of society which people aspired to after the upheavals of
the late 18th century. The heroic landscape as a painting genre had achieved great popularity in the
17th century when artists like Nicholas Poussin and Claude Lorrain captured the beauty of the

Abstinence-Only Education And Teen Pregnancy Rates
Sex education, arguably one of the most controversial topics to surface in American politics over
the past half century, poses a complicated problem to citizens and lawmakers alike. Following the
AIDS epidemic and spike in teen pregnancy in the 1980s, lawmakers and educators began drafting
and implementing more sex educationclasses and courses in public schools in an attempt to
remedy the ever growing issue. While few object to the idea in itself, the method and content of its
teaching is highly controversial. Should we teach abstinence or safe sex? How early should
children be exposed to this material? How effective are these classes? These are just a few
questions surrounding the issue, which are often disputed.

Dismissal Without Cause
Dismissal With or Without Cause
There are two main types of dismissal: dismissal with cause, and dismissal without cause.
Dismissal with cause requires some kind of serious misconduct on your part as the employee. If
you steal from your employer or violate legal company rules, your employer is well within their
right to fire you without notice, and they are not required to offer you a severance package. This
type of dismissal without notice is only legal if your employer can prove that your misconduct
was so serious that it was reasonable to let you go on the spot. Often, this means repeated attempts
by your employer to correct your behavior or a serious breach of your employment contract.

believe you have been illegally dismissed, you should consult a lawyer right away. You may have
the right to be reinstated in your position or have the ability to pursue remedies not available in
other wrongful dismissal cases.
Wrongful Dismissal
If you believe your dismissal was handled incorrectly, a wrongful dismissal action is the only
leverage you have to negotiate a fair severance package that compensates you for the working
notice you should have received.
One very important thing to note is that you have a duty to mitigate the damages caused by the
termination of your employment. In other words, you have an obligation to try to find other
work in your field after losing your job. It s important to document your job search so you can
prove that you ve taken reasonable steps to find comparable employment while awaiting the
result of your wrongful dismissal action. The purpose of fair notice is to give you enough time to
find another job, so if you do find work before your fair notice time is up, any earnings you receive

Holquest On Armenia
In Peter Holquest s The Politics and Practice of the Russian Occupation Armenia, he examines the
changes and goals of the Russian policies towards the Armenian community. Holquest begins to
explain that Russian policy towards Armenia during World War 1 was to dupe the Armenians. The
policy was to allow the Russians to use the Armenians against the Ottoman Turks; this was also a
means to annex Turkish Armenia. The policy remains unchanged from 1912 to early 1916; the
Russian government avoid any measures that might antagonize the Ottomans (3). The Russian
government began to realize that pressing reforms would antagonize the Ottomans and only cause
them to reject any sort of treaties or advice. As Turkey began to implement military operations
against in 1914, Russian looked at Armenians as allies and as an threat to the Ottomans. Nicholas II
proclaimed that a brilliant future awaits Armenia which was not entirely true due to anger under

there were accounts that called for a Russian plan to prevent the return of Armenians (17). It came

Robert Lee Frost Research Paper
Born on March 26, 1874 in San Francisco, California, Robert Lee Frost had no clue that he would
become America s most celebrated poet. He also didn t know that he would marry his co
valedictorian, Elinor, or be elected to the Board of Overseers at Harvard College. But what Frost
did know is that he had a major click with poetryand he never gave up on it, even after forty years
on being an infamous poet. After his first found interest with reading and writing poetry in high
school, Frost could never find the right fit for himself. He was always moving and changing jobs;
he also never earned a degree from Dartmouth or Harvard. But, wherever Frost went, New England
was a major inspiration for his poetry and so was his family and health. And so,... Show more

1894. His first volume of poetry was A Boy s Will in 1913 which got good reviews from the
people. In 1918, he received the Master of Art award, which is an academic honor. Frost also
won the Pulitzer Prize four times, which winning it once is huge. In January 1961, Frost was also
the first poet to recite a poem at a presidential inauguration for John F. Kennedy, after just being
appointed consultant in poetry to the Library of Congress. Congress also gave him a gold medal

All employees have a duty of care to report any concerns of abuse they have. These might include
evidence or suspicions of bad practice by colleagues and managers (whistleblowing), or abuse
by another service user, staff or their family and friends. The correct actions to take if an
idividual tells you they are being abused. The key things to do when an individual discloses
abuse is: Assume the person is telling the truth. Speak to them in a clam and sensitive way.
Listen carefully and make sure you record what was said. If the person needs medical attention
you would call the emergency service or call a doctor as appropriate, and inform your line
manager immediately, or another senior person. If this is a criminal matter i.e. an alleged
assault, rape or indecent exposure, call the police, if a senior was not on duty/available to do so.
How to ensure that any evidence of abuse is kept safe It is important to record everything that
has been said or disclosed, in the event of alleged abuse, include date/time, and sign it. This is
because the information needs to be accurate, in case it is to be used in a legal investigation or
proceedings. The written record should be stored in a secure place, for safety and to prevent
others from seeing its content. If the alleged abuse is of sexual nature, it is advisable to ask the
victim of abuse not to wash themselves, or dispose of any clothing, as they may be contaminating

In Passing Nella Larsen Summary
The issues between the characters race and identity is a consequence of the judgemental culture.
Clare and Irene construct their identities by passing. By keeping their black heritage a secret, they
are afforded many privileges as white women, such as health and safety from discrimination,
exclusion and racial violence.
In Passing Nella Larsen seems to suggest that identity is a hazy fiction one tells that outward
appearances and surface events only partly confirm. (Thaggert, 2005)
Clare implies that she thinks her lifestyle is superior to those women that always remain black.
Her obsession with passing has formed her identity and became so normal to her, Clare had a trick
of sliding down ivory lids over astonishing black eyes and then lifting them suddenly and turning on
a caressing smile (Larsen, p.83). The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There are examples in the text that clearly show how identity is never known, Never, when she
was alone, had they even remotely seemed to suspect that she was a negro (Larsen, p.10). Irene
has more pride for her black heritage yet remains paranoid at the way society may treat her
because of it. Therefore, her racial identity remains fluid as she blends in like any other white
woman who has tea in a white only section. She is very wary of her race being detected, which is
demonstrated early in the text, Did that woman, could that woman, somehow know that here
before her very eyes on the roof of the Drayton Sat a negro? (Larsen, p.8). This may suggest that
she is too fragile with passing. She knows her black identity and this worries her. She knows what
society would think of her if they knew. Passing for white meant being treated with respect, rather
than disdain and so being found out would ruin this life for her. Race is what limits Irene, She was
caught between two allegiances, different, yet the same. Herself. Her race. Race!. The thing that

Essay about Funeral
Funeral Personal Narrative I gaze around. I see one family, brought together, to mourn for one of
our own. Countless numbers of dark figures stand on parade, speaking in unison to pay our
respects to one whom we adore. The sadness corrupts my inner soul and my heart bleeds a river
inside. Nothing could change the wretchedness I feel. We leave, what seems to me, not a holy
church, but more of a devil s palace. But the worst is yet to come. Still shedding tears I climb into
the hearse, my eyes fixed upon the noble man in the back, in the vain hope that there would be life
in him once again. It is useless. I stare outside in the deepest of depression, worrying about the road
that lies... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Our car reduces speed and the driver climbs out. I think to myself, This is no gate . A gate would
be an astonishing gift to me right now. The only thing I can do now is pray and hope. To pray
that I will not have to go through this anguish, suffering and endless hell once again. In one
sudden movement, my hopes and dreams are crushed into minute pieces of terror and misery, as
the hearse driver opens the door. Resistance is pointless. We are already here. A foot away from
the gates of fire. I push open the gate upon its rusty hinges. Though, I know, cemeteries are
supposed to be depressing and solemn places, this is out of the ordinary. I am welcomed by an
old, decrepit yet elegant chapel, that has been abused by weather and man, but preserved and
decorated by Mother Nature. Ivy droops over the freestanding wall and fades away into the
rubble and ruins. Through a slight crack in the wall I see the remains of a derelict altar. I
continue on, picking up my drained feet off the grassy surface from under them. They are
comforted by the pleasantness of a spongy carpet of autumn leaves. A mosaic of infinite colors. A
mild breeze slithers past my face and cools me throughout as we enter a kingdom of beauty. My
eyes ascend up into the branches of an oak that has past its prime, but nothing can steal the

Price Strategy And Estimate Of Price Elasticity
Price Strategy and Estimate of Price Elasticity Now looking at the three marketplaces that we have
chosen to explore for our product, we conclude that in terms of consumer behavior, buying habits,
values and concerns, these three marketplaces are totally different from each other. It is very
evident that each region requires a separate pricingstrategy and so that is what we are going to
follow in this global plan of our company. Another factor that we need to keep in mind is the
cultural and economic realities of these marketplaces and consumers while pricing our products. Let
us begin with the pricing for the European Unionmarket Spain. This is a rich market which is
centered around good quality and ready to spend the money asked for... Show more content on

Similarly, if the price is low the demand shoots up dramatically. We as a confectionary company
needs to take advantage of this consumer behavior and economic reality in China and among
the people of China. Keeping these realities in mind, it is very much obvious that for this
market, we choose and follow a value based pricing and do not keep the price of the product too
high. It is advisable rather to follow an average pricing and let the consumers build some
enthusiasm around the product. Once the consumers like the product and realizes it is good
quality, then they accept the product and the low pricing help the product create some buzz in the
market and have some good techniques. Similarly, for Latin America it has been interesting to
find out that the people in this region are focused on value yet they do not mind paying the
appropriate price for a product if they know it is good. The price elasticity of demand of people in
this region is just moderate which is good for our product. Thus, we will follow a moderate pricing
strategy in this respect to ensure the best possible results from the consumer in this market to
ensure that product gets successful in this new market.
Part D: Manufacturing/Operation/Supply Chain We are all aware about the importance of supply,
manufacturing and operations chain for any business. It becomes even more important if we are
crossing the borders and entering international marketplaces as we are

Roseville Area High School Case Study
Roseville Area High School, locally referred to as RAHS , possesses a schedule similar to that of
an immense quantity of public schools throughout the United States. Due to such similarities to the
standard American education system, the typical weekly schedule has applied, allowing a period of
rest consisting of Saturday and Sunday often taken for granted by modern society. However, despite
the separation of days within the majority of the school year having proven optimal, the timein
which one is expected to be prepared for awaiting academic endeavors, currently identified as 8:10
AM, has been scientifically revealed as detrimental to health, as pubescent individuals necessitate an
immense period of sleep in accomodation to daily assignments. In addition to... Show more content

Due to such importance, Orion High School would delay the current schedule in place by one hour
and twenty minutes, allowing arrival at 9:30 AM. However, as a result of the revised agenda,
dismissal would thus occur at a later hour, failing to grant high school students adequate time to
sleep and study alike. Therefore, in effort of the promotion of superior education, the time in which
one is expected to remain in class must be reduced, resulting in a dismissal at 2:40 PM, identical to
that of Roseville Area High School, as well as a slight increase in the length of the year, often
extending into early July. In addition to allowing the accomodation of the physical and academic
necessities of students within the pubescent stage of life, a possibility through school s increment
of ten months, in effort of equal distribution of academically derived stress, spring vacation will
thus be delayed one month. Through the alterations in the hourly and yearly schedule common
among educational establishments, Orion High School will accommodate the physical and mental
necessities of those of

  • 2. Friar Lawrence To Blame Quotes Friar Lawrence s role in Romeo and Juliet Who is to blame for the deaths in the end of the play Romeo and Juliet? Friar Lawrence is a main character who definitely affects the storyline. Some people might believe that Romeo and Juliet are to blame, but I believe, ultimately, Friar Lawrence is to blame. Romeo could be to blame because he stupidly fell in love and made Friar Lawrence marry him and Juliet. Romeo s careless actions brought devastation to the Capulet and Montague s families. He had many near death experiences, but people other than him died. Friar Lawrence is suspicious because of his role in the book, how he carried the blame, and how different the story would be without him. Friar Lawrence s role in the play makes him suspicious... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Juliet wanted to get out of an arranged marriage with Paris so badly, she wanted to kill herself. She was also distraught because Romeo was banned from Verona, and she can t see him. Friar Lawrence helped her plan to fake her death, he gave her a potion to make her fall asleep for forty two hours. Take thou this vial, being then in bed, When presently through all thy vein shall run a cold and drowsy humor; for no pulse shall keep his native progress, but surcease; no warmth, no breath, shall testify thou livest... (Shakespeare 818). This quote helps show that Friar was helping Juliet. He gives her a vial of potion that she will take to hibernate. Because of this, Romeo believes Juliet is truly dead and he kills himself, wanting to be with her. During this time of chaos, Friar Lawrence was supposed to go down to the cellar and get Juliet so she didn t suffocate, but he didn t help Juliet. He let her kill herself, which is exactly what happened. Yea, noise? Then I ll be brief. O happy dagger! This is thy sheath; there rust, and let me die (Shakespeare 842). This quote shows that Friar Lawrence was there and he just wanted them out of there because he heard a noise; he only cares about himself and his safety. He didn t even bother to save Juliet when she was going crazy and stabbed herself. He left her alone and attempted to get out of the tomb. He ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. The Concept Of The Prokaryote Valid And Useful Or... Is the concept of the prokaryote valid and useful or fundamentally flawed? The term prokaryote was coined in 1925 by Г‰douard Chatton in his 1925 paper Pansporella perplex: Reflections on the Biology and Phylogeny of the Protozoa. (Chatton, 1925). Since then the term, when paired with its dichotomous counterpart eukaryote , has formed the fundamental basis for classification in biology. However in recent years the concept of the prokaryote has been wildly contested as being inaccurate (amongst other things), and the dichotomy of eukaryote/prokaryote based on a misleading and ultimately incorrect distinction that is phylogenetically contestable. This essay will examine the validity and usefulness of the concept of the prokaryote, as well as evaluate why the term or even the abolition of the term may be important in different contexts. The definition of a prokaryote is simply a single celled organism with no nuclear membrane and consequently no membrane bound organelles. It is therefore logical to assume that one would find a nucleus and membrane bound organelles in a eukaryotic cell. Although the expression is widely accepted by myriad biologists and microbiologists alike and has been since the birth of the term, the word has come under much scrutiny due to its negative definition; as in prokaryote describes that the cell is lacking characteristic eukaryotic features rather than being defined in its own terms (Woese, 1994; Pace, 2006). The Way To Wealth Analysis Term Paper: The Way to Wealth This past weekend I was fortunate enough to go on a trip to Washington DC to attend an International Convention for Phi Theta Kappa Honors society. Little did I know that at about 4 a.m on a McDonalds run in the heart of DC I would have my ah ha moment for my Term paper. Our Uber (taxi) driver arrived to pick us up at our hotel and I was fortunate enough to hear his story about his journey from Africa to America. He has been living in Washington DC now for 27 years and it almost seems as if he incorporated every ounce of knowledge from Benjamin Franklins Way to Wealth . Our Uber driver informed us that he came to America to give himself a better quality of life. He wanted to make a name for himself, and to provide for his family. • 7. Pepsi Of Coca Cola And Pepsi As far as marketers are concerned, there are few American companies with marketing campaigns that rival those of Coca Cola and Pepsi. The longevity and prosperity of these two competitors is enough to inspire countless business to model their own companies after these icons. This paper will detail some of the business aspects that have helped Coke and Pepsi to thrive, as well as considering what mistakes have been made in their pursuit of success. Learning from the successes and failures of other companies can help a new business to know which roads of marketing, expansion, etc. to explore and which might best be avoided. One might first consider Coca Cola, a company which has been trademarked since 1886. While the business has gone through many changes over the years, the Coca Cola name has remained and is now recognizable around the world. Coca Cola is not only the name of the company, which makes a variety of products including the soda that is its namesake. When it comes to targeting the current consumer, Coca Cola finds that their product is most popular among the older crowd (marketing considers as older anyone over age 35). (Turner). Some of the most valuable brands in that particular demographic are Coca Cola, Microsoft, GE, IBM, Starbucks and Apple (Turner). Part of the reason for Coke s longevity is due to the company becoming, over the years, an icon of American History. Most members of the over 35 demographic possess fond memories of drinking ... Walls of graffiti adorn the peeling awnings of storefronts and theatres promise private dances and live nude women. Porn shops dotted the city block with colorful invitations to sex hotlines and signs prohibiting entry to anyone under the age of eighteen (Wollman 445). Decades earlier, during the Prohibition era, speakeasies and brothels lined the city, creating New York s red light district. The commencement of renovations, then, relied heavily on the support of the city and state of New York s investment, and because of the potential profit to be made from tourism, the state obliged (Wollman 1). This investment greatly contributed to The Walt DisneyCompany s decision to lease the New Amsterdam Theatre. Prior to 1994, the theatre spent decades without use and had fallen into decay. Professor of Performance Studies and academic, Elizabeth Wollman detailed the deal between Disney and the city in an article analyzing the interaction between theatre and corporations. She explained: Disney agreed to spend approximately $6 million to renovate the huge, ninety five year old New Amsterdam on 42nd Street, Disney would enjoy exclusive use of the New Amsterdam, which it now occupies under a long term, forty nine year lease and currently uses to house the musical version of The Lion King. The city and state agreed to lend Disney an additional $28 million in low interest loans in return for 2 percent of all ticket receipts from shows staged at the theater. (Wollman 447) With its acquisition of the theatre Disney opened Beauty and the Beast, a stage musical based on the company s popular musical film, and not long after its opening did investors such as Time Warner and Madame Tussauds hop on the 42nd street bandwagon (Nelson 74). • 19. The Military Decision Making Process Essay The Military Decision Making Process (MDMP) is an analytical and deliberate process that commanders follow using seven steps that includes the receipt of the mission, mission analysis, course of action development, course of action analysis, course of action comparison, course of action approval and orders production. The MDMP gives leaders a thorough process to follow that provides clarity and synchronization for operations even under time constrained environments. We need an Army that is trained on making decisions, able to anticipate needs and able to be proactive in accomplishing tasks even when unexpected duties arise. The MDMP sets the Army up for success in getting to this point. Without the MDMP, leaders will struggle to make crucial decisions and they will certainly struggle to make them under pressure during time sensitive missions. Not just our own history but the history of other countries has shown that running military operations without planning properly can result in inconceivable losses. At the National Defense Executive Reserve Conference on November 14, 1957, Dwight D. Eisenhower was quoted as stating: I heard long ago in the Army: plans are worthless, but planning is everything. The MDMP is a single, established, and proven analytical process (US Department of the Army, 1997). The process is crucial to our success not just because of the course of action (COA) developed out of it but more so because of what we learn out of the process along the way. ... No one and nothing is safe from a genetic disorder. A genetic disorder can appear in the first years off life, or can appear much later in life when least expected. A basic principal of biology states that the behavior of chromosomes during the meiosis process can account for genetic inheritance patterns. There are many reasons for genetic disorders. Foreign developers seeking cheap labor and natural resources on untouched lands are exploiting cultures that have survived for centuries on their own. History of Ecotourism: The idea that led to Ecotourism emerged in the late sixties when people like Oswaldo MuГ±oz, now president of the Ecuadorian Ecotourism Association, started guiding tourists around their countries to view natural wonders. Many companies began to set up lodging near parks and reserves and even began to develop tours of those areas. The vision of showing off exotic plants, animals and the overall natural beauty of countries like Ecuador also attracted them. Yet early on, this did little to help the local economies. These baskets are known for the beautiful designs and expert technique that has been passed down through generations of crafters. In precolonial and colonial times, predominate material that was used in basketweavingwas rivercane. This was mainly due to the fact that rivercane was widely available near the south eastern rivers. Also, rivercane was generally easy to harvest and work with. However, rivercane can hurt the crafter if the individual is not careful due to the fact that the material can be incredible sharp. Frankenstein is a book that explores society and human behavior when someone different is introduced. It says that humans are not always willing to introduce someone new to their society and that sometimes they tend to discriminate against the different one. To show this, the writer used a monster which was introduced to a human society. This monster is rejected everywhere he goes because of his difference. He is rejected by his creator, and then he is rejected by the villagers, by the farmers who the monster had so long admired and in the end by the reader himself. Unable to endure the aspect of the being I had created, I rushed out of the room . The writer uses this quote to show that the creator, in this case Victor Frankenstein, is the first to reject the monster as he rushes out of the room. Victor had worked day and night trying to create an individual that would be and would look like a human. Process: my group first did guess and check to try and solve the problem. First we thought that the bales had to be 40 50 because if you had 70+70 it would be out of the range of 80 90 by a lot. In Peterson, the Supreme Court upheld an imposition of expenses because the Plaintiff sought dismissal right before the trial began and because it was clear the Plaintiff wished to re file the case. Id. Kansas courts have been clear that imposing expenses must be connected to the risk of future litigation and if there is not such a risk then courts should not impose expenses. Brown v. The slaves, lead by an Angolan named Jemmy, stunned the plantation owners in their revolt against their oppressive lifestyle. Their goal was to march all the way to Spanish Florida, but they were eventually stopped by the militia. In total, about 60 white civilians were killed and many more slaves experienced the same fate. This was such a significant uprising, not only because of the lack of information we have about rebellions in general, but because it showed that slaves had the ability to revolt against the harsh lifestyle that was forced upon them. While most historians can agree that this was one of the most influential revolts, the best way to interpret this event is still debated. The Russian government began to realize that pressing reforms would antagonize the Ottomans and only cause them to reject any sort of treaties or advice. As Turkey began to implement military operations against in 1914, Russian looked at Armenians as allies and as an threat to the Ottomans. Nicholas II proclaimed that a brilliant future awaits Armenia which was not entirely true due to anger under tsarists rule. An interesting part of his writing is about colonization; Holquest tells the audience that there were accounts that called for a Russian plan to prevent the return of Armenians (17). It came from a memorandum which did not rely on Russian government s policy, but stems from the Ministry of Agriculture s overarching agenda. The agenda was occupied lands and seek any means to achieve amass of land fund. The... • 41. In Passing Nella Larsen Summary The issues between the characters race and identity is a consequence of the judgemental culture. Clare and Irene construct their identities by passing. By keeping their black heritage a secret, they are afforded many privileges as white women, such as health and safety from discrimination, exclusion and racial violence. In Passing Nella Larsen seems to suggest that identity is a hazy fiction one tells that outward appearances and surface events only partly confirm. (Thaggert, 2005) Clare implies that she thinks her lifestyle is superior to those women that always remain black. Her obsession with passing has formed her identity and became so normal to her, Clare had a trick of sliding down ivory lids over astonishing black eyes and then lifting them suddenly and turning on a caressing smile (Larsen, p.83). The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There are examples in the text that clearly show how identity is never known, Never, when she was alone, had they even remotely seemed to suspect that she was a negro (Larsen, p.10). Irene has more pride for her black heritage yet remains paranoid at the way society may treat her because of it. Therefore, her racial identity remains fluid as she blends in like any other white woman who has tea in a white only section. She is very wary of her race being detected, which is demonstrated early in the text, Did that woman, could that woman, somehow know that here before her very eyes on the roof of the Drayton Sat a negro? (Larsen, p.8). This may suggest that she is too fragile with passing. She knows her black identity and this worries her. She knows what society would think of her if they knew. Passing for white meant being treated with respect, rather than disdain and so being found out would ruin this life for her. Race is what limits Irene, She was caught between two allegiances, different, yet the same. Herself. Her race. Race!. The thing that bound and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 42. Essay about Funeral Funeral Personal Narrative I gaze around. I see one family, brought together, to mourn for one of our own. Countless numbers of dark figures stand on parade, speaking in unison to pay our respects to one whom we adore. The sadness corrupts my inner soul and my heart bleeds a river inside. Nothing could change the wretchedness I feel. We leave, what seems to me, not a holy church, but more of a devil s palace. But the worst is yet to come. Still shedding tears I climb into the hearse, my eyes fixed upon the noble man in the back, in the vain hope that there would be life in him once again. It is useless. I stare outside in the deepest of depression, worrying about the road that lies... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Our car reduces speed and the driver climbs out. I think to myself, This is no gate . A gate would be an astonishing gift to me right now. The only thing I can do now is pray and hope. To pray that I will not have to go through this anguish, suffering and endless hell once again. In one sudden movement, my hopes and dreams are crushed into minute pieces of terror and misery, as the hearse driver opens the door. Resistance is pointless. We are already here. A foot away from the gates of fire. I push open the gate upon its rusty hinges. Though, I know, cemeteries are supposed to be depressing and solemn places, this is out of the ordinary. I am welcomed by an old, decrepit yet elegant chapel, that has been abused by weather and man, but preserved and decorated by Mother Nature. Ivy droops over the freestanding wall and fades away into the rubble and ruins. Through a slight crack in the wall I see the remains of a derelict altar. I continue on, picking up my drained feet off the grassy surface from under them. They are comforted by the pleasantness of a spongy carpet of autumn leaves. A mosaic of infinite colors. A mild breeze slithers past my face and cools me throughout as we enter a kingdom of beauty. My eyes ascend up into the branches of an oak that has past its prime, but nothing can steal the ... It is very evident that each region requires a separate pricingstrategy and so that is what we are going to follow in this global plan of our company. Another factor that we need to keep in mind is the cultural and economic realities of these marketplaces and consumers while pricing our products. Let us begin with the pricing for the European Unionmarket Spain. This is a rich market which is centered around good quality and ready to spend the money asked for... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Similarly, if the price is low the demand shoots up dramatically. We as a confectionary company needs to take advantage of this consumer behavior and economic reality in China and among the people of China. Keeping these realities in mind, it is very much obvious that for this market, we choose and follow a value based pricing and do not keep the price of the product too high. It is advisable rather to follow an average pricing and let the consumers build some enthusiasm around the product. Once the consumers like the product and realizes it is good quality, then they accept the product and the low pricing help the product create some buzz in the market and have some good techniques. Similarly, for Latin America it has been interesting to find out that the people in this region are focused on value yet they do not mind paying the appropriate price for a product if they know it is good. The price elasticity of demand of people in this region is just moderate which is good for our product. Thus, we will follow a moderate pricing strategy in this respect to ensure the best possible results from the consumer in this market to ensure that product gets successful in this new market.
