Budget Cuts In Schools
Seeming insignificant and being seen as an unreliable and an inconsistent source of money, classes
such as art, poetry, or drama get cut. For these classes of which have been an inspiration to many
artists to be let go, the school must undergo budget cuts. Negatively affecting the learning
environment, budget cuts have been public enemy number one in schools worldwide. Due to these
cuts teachers get laid off and those students who were in that class go on to other classes,
essentially, doubling the original class size. However, what do we do about those who seem to
enjoy the artsprovided by their school? Let alone, those who have become inspired and envision
becoming world renown someday? Decreasing desires and disregardment of the importance

Comparing Christianity And Islam
Christianity and Islam are both well known and respected religions, whose teachings share many
similarities as well as many differences. First we are going to discuss Christianity and their
beliefs. The word Christians is defined as a follower or disciples of Jesus Christ. According to
The Bible, Jesus Christ was born from Marry, who was a virgin, this was only made possible by
the Holy Spirit. Therefore he was not just man, but he was also God at once. In The Bible it is
written in Matthew 1:23, The virgin will be pregnant. She will have a son, and they will name him
Immanuel , which means, God is with us. JesusChrist, God and the Holy Spirit are three in one,
known as the trinity. Christians believe that God sent Jesus Christ to save... Show more content on

Angels, which are defined as unseen beings who carry out Gods orders throughout the universe.
Gabriel the angel who came to visit Muhammad is a key figure in Christianity and Islam. We can go
all the way to the beginning, when sin was first developed, when Adam disobeyed God and cursed
all of man with death. Christians and Muslims believe that starting with Adam, God appointed
messengers, or prophets, throughout history to spread God s word and to teach the world about
him. Another thing they agree upon is judgement day and the hereafter life. They believe that when
judgment day comes that God will come back and Judge everyone, humans will be judged for their
actions on earth and be held accountable and those who rejected him will be sent to hell, which
brings me to the Ten Commandments, which are ten moral laws.
Though the Ten Commandments are not specified in the Quran, nine of the Ten Commandments
are quoted throughout the Quran. For example, the first pillar and the first commandment start with
there is only one, God, only worship that God. Another important thing that they have in common is
they both worship the God of Abraham. They both believe in Satan. Though their beliefs share
similarities, they also have differences as

Sexual Orientations Essay
Being sexual and romantic is the norm. Even now when other sexualities are more widely
accepted you don t hear about romantic orientations. You don t hear that your romantic
orientation can be different from your sexual orientation. You don t hear that there are romantic
orientations, each just as diverse and varied as sexual orientations. You particularly do not hear
about the lack of these seemingly intrinsic human traits. If you do hear about them they tend to
be caused by a health issue, or past trauma, abuse or a bad relationship. One of the only times I

For years I believed that. I tried to fit, knew I wasn t interested remotely in men so I assumed I

supposed to make your heart pound, make butterflies swim in your stomach? Well, this one did
but for all the wrong reasons. I felt nothing, maybe even vaguely repulsed at the sensations of
someone else s lips on mine. In a panic I distanced myself from her in a panic. I spent years not
even letting myself think about sex, about relationships. I watched friends years younger than me
make their first attempts at dating, and helped them through those first break ups, first heart
breaks. I never had that drive to date, when I pictured myself in a relationship I felt nothing but a
mix of boredom and vague distaste. Romantic movies bored me, the sex scenes nauseated me,
perfectly good movies would be ruined for me when romance or a love interest was brought in.

That Woman Cried
Title: That Woman Cried
Written by KyuSe7en501
Note: Forgive me if I ain t good in writing. T_T
Twenty fourth of January a woman appeared before my eyes. She was crying, really, really hard. I
didn t know what to do, I was at a total loss of words.
Since then, I started wondering why women cry; are they just fond of crying, or, do they cry for
something men don t understand?
As a man myself I want to know the answer. Not that I love to interfere with their sorrows but I
just want to have my curiosity get answered. Do they cry for no reason?
Some people say women are beyond emotional. They cry because their hearts are soft, they also
waste tears because they are partly weak, in comparison with men.
I thought those were enough for ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Once I cross the edge of safe I d fall into a tangled web of sorrow or a state of endless conscience. I
should ve never asked her. I should ve never run with my curiosity. I should ve just let her cry...
alone.
A real woman isn t like this. You can never become a woman if one continues to do things she
knows wrong. I m not a woman. I m not worthy to be called a woman. Her voice trembled once
again.
Stop crying. You won t get anything if you cry.
Crying makes me strong again. It s like a medicine. A pain reliever. It s the only means that makes
me feel alive.
She was still beautiful despite her situation. Maybe she really had possessed this natural beauty.
Are you okay with your situation? I mean, don t you want to be called a real woman? I asked
instead.
I actually has had a dream to have a husband cause I thought having one could make me become
a woman. I used to love a person who would love to love me back. I used to step on an altar with
my wedding gown and with my partner in life two years ago. But someone took him away from
me and now they are a one big happy family. She looked at me, something in her eyes told me that
she was too vulnerable inside. Isn t it unfair? I may be a mistress, but I am just doing my part for
the good of myself. For the good of my once possession. I was a victim, and till now I still am. Don
t you get me?
I fell silent. Once she started her tirades, my mouth was unable to react on anything.

The Music Of The Man Essay
When Jazz first appeared in the state of Louisiana, although it had African roots, it was highly
looked down upon. It was considered the music of the blacks , with a negative connotation and
was disregarded as being a music genre itself in comparison with classical and other types of
music. African Americans faced racism and prejudice for enjoying and being jazzmusicians,
however African Americanwomen also encountered bigotry, sexism and prejudice along with
racism. There were several female musicians, many of them very successful, but solely due to their
gender, they were undermined, mistreated, and were discriminated against in the field of jazz
music. In the beginning jazz was typically considered music of the man , it upheld a masculine and
suave front and it deemed inappropriate for women to be a part of it. Charles mentions in his article
on The Age of Jazzwomen, Male musicians dominated the jazz scene when the music first surfaced,
making it difficult for women to enter their ranks. The fraternity of jazzmen also frowned upon
women wind instrumentalists (Charles). This attitude disabled women to join groups or play
instruments of their choice. Their talents and love for the music was completely ignored due to the
fact that they were women. Valaida Snow a talented and reputable jazz musician and entertainer,
also called the Queen of the Trumpet went through a significantly high amount discrimination as
she traveled and toured with groups that included men.

Monarch Butterflies And Habitat Loss Essay
Monarch Butterflies and Habitat Loss To begin with, this there is an estimated 109 million
monarchs this year in 2.91 hectares, and last year it was from 150 million in 4.01 hectare. The
butterflies are daing, and their population is decreasing, and there is a lot of solutions. For
example, people can make more habitat for the butterflies, stop cutting milkweed plants, and
planting them. The monarch butterflies will spend in Mexico their winter hibernation, and also in
of Southern California because in some parts it is warm all year long. But if the monarch lives in
the Eastern states, on the Rocky Mountains, then it will hibernate close to the Pacific Grove,
California in eucalyptus trees. The eggs are laid on milkweed plants in March.... Show more content

The second solution is that people do not put any more pesticide in their plants and their farms
because then the butterflies are going to the plants and they are going die because of the
pesticide. The butterflies see the plants and they are going to rest there or they are going to
pollinate them, but what the butterflies don t know is that the plants have pesticide and they lend
on them and latter on they die. And the last solution is that people start planting new milkweed
trees.Because if all the people start doing it the monarch butterflies population will increase
because now they are going to have enough food for all of them and they are going to finish their
life cycle and they can do all their migration for their lives. All the people should be traing to
protect the monarch butterflies because they are one of the little things that help people live. But
they are not doing it because the butterflies population is decreasing.Like it show in the picture

Different Schools Of Statutory Interpretation
Introduction and Thesis There are multiple schools of thought when it comes to how courts should
interpret statues and legislation, some schools advocate a literal, textual reading of the relevant
statues, while other schools advocate taking other factors into account when making a decision,
factors like the intent of the legislature when they passed the statue. The case AA v BB provides a
good look into the issue of statutory interpretation because the two different courts that heard the
case applied a different from of statutory interpretation. The lower court stuck to a textual
interpretation, whereas the court of appealconsidered the legislative intent behind the relevant
statues. This paper will argue that of the two schools of statutory interpretation applied in the case,
textualism and intentionalism, neither is completely appropriate and that the pragmatic approach
to statutory interpretation is the most appropriate method to use. It will then argue that the decision
by the Ontario Court of Appeal in AA v BB is the more convincing decision as it best aligns with
the pragmatic approach.
Point I: Why the pragmatic approach is more appropriate than a strictly textualist or intentionalist
approach.
Textualism is a school of statutory interpretation that relies on the text of the statue to determine the
true intent of the legislature. Textualism is heavily reliant on the plain meaning rule, which
essentially means that when the text of a statue is clear and

distinct form of Mental disability in 1862, and in more widely published report in 1866.[9] Due
to his perception that children with Down syndrome shared physical facial similarities with
those of Blumenbach is Mongolian race. Down used the term mongoloid derived from
prevailing ethical theory.[10] By the 20th century Down syndrome had become the most
recognizable form of mental disability. Most individuals with Down syndrome were institution

programs of force sterilizations of individuals with Down syndrome and comparable degrees of

Clay. The sun was rising over a frosty blue mountain, and drops of dew dripped down from the
leaves in the valley. Arthur awoke to find his bedroom filled with light. He went downstairs and
drank a glass of water, not hungry enough for food. Arthur went outside into the chilly morning
and started walking down the road. The road was lined with hundreds of huge alpine trees. A
large flock of birds flew over Arthur s head in the sky. Arthur! Hey Arthur! Arthur turned his head

three boys ran toward the bag. Arthur knelt down next to it and examined it, eyeing it curiously.
The bag was sealed shut with tape. Derek drew his knife and handed it to Arthur. Here . James
raised his eyebrows. Derek looked down, squinting his eyes and frowning. Arthur cut the seal
with a fluid motion of the knife, and unzipped the bag. There it was. Hundreds of bright,
polished diamonds, shining in the forest. I ll be damned! James exclaimed. It s a miracle!
Diamonds! Arthur laughed and Derek jumped with joy. Holy shit! Derek said. My God! said
Arthur. The three of them patted each other on the backs and shook hands, laughing. This is
amazing! said Arthur. Unbelievable! said Derek. How on earth did these get here? James asked
smiling. The diamonds were as big as golf balls, and some as small as grains of rice. Each one
was clear and shimmering. This is the loot of a world class thief! Derek said and picked up the

and James followed behind. Arthur ran forward and did a cartwheel. This has to be worth millions.

Employees Under Surveillance
Whether employees should be under surveillance or not of their employers will always remain a
debatable topic. In my opinion, however, I would support this phenomenon instead of opposing it
due to some analytical reasons which I shall be explaining in detail.
1) Workers/Employees might alter their behaviour if they will be told about the inspection. This
will not show the fair results of the monitoring.
Two researchers, Elton Mayo and Flitz Rothlisberger, carried out an experiment in 1920s. In 1927,
researchers were trying to determine the optimal amount of lighting, temperature, and humidity for
assembling electronic components at Western Electric s Hawthorne plant. The results showed that
lighting had no consistent effect on production. Researchers were frustrated to discover that ... Show

Secret monitoring will only cleanse the dirt out of the work force (the corrupt employees) whereas
the ethical employees will never know about the fact that they are being monitored secretly. They
will have a sense of privacy and belonging towards the organization. They will feel bonded and
trusted this way and they will work even more efficiently.
5) Surveillance in workplace, you might be amazed at what your boss can legitimately do.
Managers can lawfully screen practically anything a representative does at work the length of the
explanation behind checking is sufficiently essential to the business.
Bosses may introduce camcorders, read postal mail and email, screen telephone and PC use, use
GPS following, and that s just the beginning. The explanation behind a specific kind of working
environment observation must be more imperative than a representative s desire of security to be
lawfully reasonable. For instance, a business doubtlessly would not have an adequate motivation to
screen a locker room yet would be permitted to screen discussions amongst clients and client

Looking At Cultural Relativism, By John Ross Essay
Looking at cultural relativism, you get a better understanding of the world. Just because
something may seem weird it doesn t always mean it s wrong. When you get closer to the
situation, you become aware of why a culture does a certain ritual or acts a certain way. In light of
everything, you find that what they do is not weird at all but rather a way of living within that
specific culture.
An example of this from the readings would be the Innuit. The Innuit make their home in the
isolated land of Greenland all the way to Alaska. They have a very primitive way of living and
have adapted to the cold icy climate. They have a nickname that is better known universally and
that would be the term eskimo. In 1577, John Ross, an explorer, came across a group of Innuit
hunters. The Innuit were very fascinated with Ross s ship and they strangely dressed people on the
ship. But what they found to be most shocking was the amount of wood that made up the ship and
the furniture on the ship.
The hunters thought that is was ridiculous or weird that the strange men have that much wood.
The hunters that Ross had came across was from Greenland, a place that had little to no wood,
therefore they were not used to seeing that much wood in one place. Everything they do is
centered around ice, even their homes are made out of ice. So we cannot really judge them on
thinking that Ross and his men were some type of aliens. They did not know better, for all they
knew, they had been the only ones on

Conflict In The Color Purple Celie
Love. Love is an amazing feeling to feel when it comes to relationships. Happiness, motivation,
and self confidence are three examples that love bring to us. When we get love from people it
makes us stronger. Not everyone has had the love that some of us get. For example, in The Color
Purple celie, the main character, has trouble loving herself because she s been abused by her
father and her husband. She says she s already dead inside since she has never felt the lovefrom
anyone. Alice Walker uses conflict, symbolism, and irony to demonstrate how love affects us when
we don t receive it and why we shouldn t take it for granted.
To begin with, when people are married they should show their love to each other. Abusing
shouldn t happen at all because the couple love each other so much that they care if one of them
gets hurt. Conflict is shown when celie starts getting abused by her husband. She gets the belt
and she turns herself into a tree. He beat me like he beat the children. Cept he don t never hardly
beat them. He say, Celie, git the belt. The children be outside the room peeking through the

The Hatchet Motives
Good and evil are fighting forces in Romeo and Juliet. Characters who had good motives were
the Nurse and Rosaline. Characters who had evil motives were Romeo and Friar Lawrence. The
Nurse is a member of the Capulet house. Therefore, it is in her best interest to keep her house
and its members out of harms way. Since Juliet has been born she has only been there to guide
and raise Juliet. When Juliet tells the Nurse about Romeo being banished but her still loving him,
the Nurse wisely tells Juliet to forget about Romeo because he is as good as dead . Here, the
Nurse is only trying to follow the orders of her bosses (Lord and Lady Capulet) and protect Juliet
from the consequences of having a relationship with a Montague. Even though she gave... Show

He gets himself banished from Verona because he kills Tybalt. Some may think that he killed
him in a noble or justified way because he was avenging Mercutio s death but this isn t the case.
Yes, he avenged his family s death but acting out of revenge is misguided and selfish. Romeo did
not think through the consequences of his actions not just for himself but also for the Capulets.
Killing someone is always wrong, especially when you are doing it to right a wrong. As the
saying goes, two rights don t make a wrong, and Romeo is no exception to this. It is selfish to
only be motivated by hatred for another person. Even more, Mercutio started the fight between him
and Tybalt, so it wasn t even Tybalt s fault that he died. Romeo basically killed someone who was
faultless just because he had the opportunity to do so. Also, had Romeo done the right thing by
killing Tybalt then why would the Prince banish him? He has the highest authority because he is

Scornful Comedy In Toy Story

Toy Story s theme is more easily identified. Elements of scornful comedy help to reveal the

Fly By Wire Essay
Aircraft Feature; Fly By Wire Technology Fly by wire is a new technology in aircrafts that has
replaced the manual flight control with electronic controls. In this technology the flight control
signals are converted into electrical signals which are transmitted to the processors through electric
wires and the computer determines the movement of the actuators according to the control
command (Crane 2002). Moreover, this system sends out certain commands to the computer
without any input from the pilot, these commands are mainly transmitted for a more stable flight.
The fly by wire system also allows automatic signals sent by the aircraft s computers to perform
functions without the pilot s input, as in systems that automatically help stabilize the aircraft.
Mechanical and hydro mechanical flight controls system comprise of all heavy steel cables,
metallic pipes with hydraulic fluid, cables and pulleys which adds to the air craft total weight thus
slowing it down and decreasing its full efficiency. Both systems frequently need unnecessary backup
to tackle mechanical failures, which further increases weight. Additionally, both have inadequate
capability to adjust to changing aerodynamic conditions. Dangerous maneuverability such as
stalling, spinning and pilot induced oscillation (PIO), which is dependent chiefly on the strength
and configuration of the aircraft concerned rather than the control system itself, can still occur with
these systems (Crane 2002). The word

Communication Management For Securing The Olympic...
1) The 2024 Summer Olympics are less than 22 months away... Please research one of the below
campaign host cities and use examples of Communication Management for securing the Olympic
Committee voter bid.
For the Summer Olympic games in 2024 I choose Los Angeles as the host city because it hosted
the 1932 games. Another reason I picked Los Angeles was because they are the most diverse city
in America but they are also the Western capital of the US, The Northern Capital of Latin America,
and Eastern capital of the Pacific Rim.
With that there are three main examples of communication management to help LA secure its vote
in the Olympic bid.
1)Communication Process Los Angeles released a video calling it LA24 and it shows why LA
should be chosen to hold the 2024 Olympics by having facts about LA come up throughout the

Lab Report On Photosynthesis

Photosynthesis Lab Report
Abstract
These experiments show the different aspects that effect the rate of photosynthesis. Light intensity
effects the rate of photosynthesis, the more intense the faster the rate. Different colors of light
effect the speed of photosynthesis. Colors like white and blue cause it to go faster, while green is
very slow. Lastly, there are different pigments in in photosynthesisthat control what lights are used
for that plant.
Introduction
Photosynthesis is one of the most crucial biochemical processes on Earth. This process is used by
eukaryotic plants and algae. They are able to be self sufficient by providing themselves with their
own nutrients. This process uses sunlight water and CO2. The products of this process are glucose
and oxygen. Which is then used in a process known as cellular respiration, whose products are
water, CO2 and energy. The two processes are continuously working together.
We completed three experiments on the topic of photosynthesis. In the first experiment, we tested
the effect of light intensity by substituting NADPH with DPIP. DPIP starts out blue and changes to
clear as it becomes reduced. Our hypothesis was the more intense the light is the faster
photosynthetic process and the faster the rate of absorbency. Our null hypothesis was light has no
effect on the rate of photosynthesis. The second experiment tested the effect of different colors,
such as red, blue, green, white, and no light. Our

Communist Union And The Soviet Union
In the past, nations have decided to run their counties under a command economy, or an economy in
which production, investment, prices, and incomes are determined centrally by a government.
Command economies are more prevalent in developing countries, like on the continents of Africa
and Asia. North Korea, Iran, Cuba, Myanmar, and Liberia currently have command economies and
the Soviet Unionand China used to have one. In the past, many countries including the Soviet Union
attempted to implement command economies that would later fail. As a result, most of the current
countries using them are beginning to make reforms to leave their command economies behind,
like Mikhail Gorbachev s glasnost, or political transparency, and perestroika, also known as
economic restructuring, in the 1980 s (Dewdney). The Soviet Union officially collapsed in
December 1991, ending the long standing communist rule under a command economy in Russia
and its satellite countries for good.
There were many oppressive elements to the Soviet Union during their almost 70 year reign over
Russia and its surrounding countries. The communist political system and the command economy
were both highly centralized. The economy was based on the idea that the all means of
production, distribution, and exchange were controlled by the government, plans that were set in
place by Soviet leader Joseph Stalin s five year plans that set goals for all forms of production
(Dewdney). Unlike in a market economy, consumers

Loyalty And Chivalry Throughout The Middle Ages
Throughout the Middle Ages, wealth and status granted by God was the main defining feature of
power within a hierarchical status, yet within all upper levels of society, the concepts that defined
individuals and groups were that of honour, and military prowess. These two concepts also
incorporate ideas of manners and morals for those of higher standard within society to practice. All
together this can be incorporated into the idea of chivalry, a word and idea commonly used within
medieval Europe to describe a set of values with a large emphasis on upholding high social and
moral standards, as well as devout loyalty to God and liege. However within the concept of
maintaining loyalty to both God and liege created individual conflict between church... Show more

Most knights and those with education within the realm of chivalry were brought up to be
traditionally religious, often enacting the pious and obedient role ascribed to them as sons of
Holy Mother Church, showing how spiritual ideas of Catholicism and chivalry shared virtues
important to both the clergy and nobility. Zealousness was also an impact chivalry had on
medieval society due to the ties almost all knights had with the Roman Catholic faith, as during the
periods of crusades many people used chivalry as justification and defence to support the religious
backings behind these holy wars, and through increased zealousness, the impact religion plays on
chivalry is clearly visible. Yet the most zealous task a knightcould undertake would be that of a
crusade, it was not only fighting for honour but the trial by combat against a thoroughly demonized
opponent merited more divine blessing that ordinary fighting at home. Furthermore many knights
justified the intensive labour and tasks as [having] been assigned to them by divine will, outlining
the attitude surrounding those following a chivalrous code. Ultimately it was the devout religious
code that causes knights and monarchs to a life of devout social activities, and physical labour in

Joey Matthews, a senior biology major, only arrives 15 minutes before his classes begin, and as a

Congenital Heart Defect s ( Chd )
Congenital Heart Defect s (CHD) affect about 1% of all births in the United States or about
40,000 babies per year (www.CDC.gov). Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) is a CHD that accounts for
an estimated 10% of these births. There are many factors that are involved in the diagnosis,
treatment and quality of life for these children. The effects of the CHD vary in severity,
therefore the effects it has on a child s life vary. The etiology of TOF, how specific organs, cells,
and tissues are affected, and what organ systems are affected will all be discussed and explained. .
The effects vary greatly between patients this paper will focus on the average effects of this
condition in order to provide a better understanding of TOF.
TOF is a CHD which means the abnormal development of the heart occurred during gestation .A
normal heart consists of four chambers of cardiac muscle cells, four heart valves, an electrical
pathway, and its own blood supply. The chambers are the Right Atrium (RA) , Right Ventricle (

RA thru the Tricuspid Valve to the RV. It then gets ejected thru the Pulmonary Valve into the
Pulmonary Artery, and on into the lungs. It returns to the LA, goes thru the Mitral Valve into the
LV, and then is ejected thru the Aortic Valve into the aorta and onto systemic circulation. TOF is
identified by four atypical finding within the heart.

Overpopulation And Its Effects On The Environment
Overpopulation is often Times argued as one of the most severe, if not the most severe,
environmental problem. This past year world population exceeded 7.3 billion and continues to
grow at an alarming rate. By the year 2050 it is projected that world population will exceed over
nine billion. Overpopulation puts a serious strain on the world and its resources and is a root cause
of many environmental issues. Issues such as, climate change, diminishing biodiversity, and
pollution, are all just some of the problems caused by overpopulation. In order to control the rapid
population growthit is imperative that countries begin to further educate their citizens in family
planning and responsible resource consumption.
Paul Ehrlich, an American scientist and a former professor of population studies at Stanford
University, states that
For an area to be considered overpopulated; its population reaches a point where it can t be
maintained without rapidly depleting nonrenewable resources (or converting renewable resources
into nonrenewable ones) and without degrading the capacity of the environment to support the
population. (Caion Demaestri)
Studies suggest that when it comes to our consumption of the earth s resources, society is living
beyond its means (Dimick.) Without natural resources, life on earth does not exist and at the rate
that the earth s human population is growing, resources are running out faster than most are aware
of. Finite natural resources, including freshwater,

Doing Business in Saudi Arabia Essay
International Business
Saudi Arabia s Dynamic Culture
Introduction The American way of business differs from many other countries across the world.
Each company has their own set of tactics that they use to close big deals. Businesses from Saudi
Arabia, on the other hand, tend to do things a bit differently. They take pride in getting to know the
individuals from the other company before even disclosing any information to them. Meetings
sometimes take place in less than formal locations such as coffee shops and cafes. The religious
and social differences between the United States and Saudi Arabia make it challenging for
Americans, unaware of the way of Saudi life, to do business there. They may experience cultural

(Martinez Carter). When doing business internationally, it is important to consider how businesses
operate within their culture. In western societies such as our own, businesses tend to be deal
focused where people are more task oriented. Independence and personal initiative characterize
U.S. communication style because the U.S. work culture is very outcome oriented (Martinez
Carter). Saudi Arabia, on the contrary, follows a relationship focus culture, where people put
dealings with friends ahead of business dealings. In Saudi Arabia they are part of a family
centered society where trust of others is highly correlated with the degree of familiarity with them
(Daniels 48). It is uncommon for businesses here to take a long time to decide if they will partake
in a business transaction. Patience is important when conducting business in Saudi Arabia since
decisions are made slowly and in a bureaucratic manner (McLaughlin). The relationship focus
businesses will not be so quick to conduct a business deal. They would rather take the time and
learn about the business and individuals they are dealing with.
The deal focused businesses like to get right to business with as little time wasting as possible. It
can not be determined that one is better than the other. However it is more reasonable to follow
what your culture defines as more common. The Saudi way of life is based around religion and
family. There are

Personification In The Pink Car
In recent generations, typical looks or ideas have dominated fashion. People write about this topic
through articles, newspapers, and papers. While models style and display the most recent styles,
they also represent what women should look like. Not until very recently, people have realized
that not all women look like models, unless they starved themselves or worse. In the poems, Fat is
Not a Fairy Tale and The Pink Car , the authors convey their main message of the poem as the
social aspect of the world and what they believe has the characteristics of the ideal person by using
imagery and personification. Admiration for individuality, a common theme throughout The Pink
Car , is constantly mentioned through the words of the Mark Halliday. Halliday personifies the cars
in the poem as people; specifically focusing in on the pink car. He repeatedly describes the other
cars in a jaundiced way; for example, he would characterize these cars as boisterous, rowdy, and
big. However, he identifies the pink car as disparate, one who does not worry or care about other
cars perspectives. The author wrote, Other cars might honk their horns to seem big // the pink
car doesn t honk and doesn t worry (Halliday 25 26). Halliday symbolizes the car as pink because
society commonly construes the color as feminist, sweet, playful, the color of love, flowers and
romantic. His intention of this poem was to help one find peace within themselves. The author
wanted the reader to see that pointing out one s flaws and blemishes cause people to become
someone who is arrogant and too self confident by referring to the other cars who did not have
the characteristics of the pink car. This poem definitely delineates what one wants to find in
themselves, the satisfaction and happiness they eventually discover. The author characterizes the
pink car with a certain type of satisfaction and pride which helps people look at themselves in a
much more positive and confident way. He wanted people to read this poem, and have people
realize that appearance does not define one s personality. He wanted people to grasp, that in a
similar way, pink should not let society define what it is.
In contrast to admiration described in the other

How do people support these ideas? What would improve the educational system using these ideals?
In today s field of education, there is a transparent division between the data driven outside group
of education reformist, and the day to day inside group who facilitates the educational standards
and curriculum. Members of the outside group are often criticized for their apparent one size fits
all; standardized model of education. Many outside appointed officials boast about the continued

Before talking about what is arts based research and design thinking good for, we should first know
what is research. Pierre and Zimmerman (1997) stated: I like to think of research as re search, to

Because sometimes when we do a research, we will have more than two researchers to work

Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia
Acct 4620: Martha Stewart Case
Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia is primarily comprised of a magazine publication and a
television show created by home dГ©cor aficionado, Martha Stewart. Both sources of media
primarily feature home renovating and decorating products. Also, having an emphasis on do it
yourself (DIY) projects for a more stylish and satisfying home. Stewart herself, described Martha
Stewart Living as, the most trusted guide to stylish living. While MSLO brings in revenues from
those looking to decorate their homes and a significant portion of revenues comes from air time and
in show brand/product mentions, the majority of revenues for Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia
comes from their publishing branch. As a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Operating costs as a function of sales have seen an increase year over year with quite a bit of
absolute percentage volatility. These costs alone accounting for 105%, 124%, and 108% of total
revenues for 2009, 2010, and 2011, respectively. If these were primarily variable costs, then with
the reduction in total revenues these should have decreased as well somewhat proportionately.
With production, distribution, and editorial costs comprising over 50% as a function of sales,
MSLO is not controlling key product amp; distribution costs in a manner that will help increase
their profit margins and possibly take them back to profitability. Because of this, the entities ability
to continue as a going concern is questionable. With three years of massive losses and an
accumulated deficit reaching almost $200 million, MSLO benefits from having an equity
multiplier of ~1.46. The lack of liquidity issues ensures that MSLO can continue operating a net
loss for a while longer. The flat growth/decay in general and administrative expenses indicates the
firm is maintaining the same level of salary for a contracting business.
In order to rein in the risks of not continuing on as a going concern, MSLO needs to focus on
serious cost stabilizing and cutting. If their fixed costs are such a large percentage of their cost
structure, fluctuations in volume output will have a larger impact on earnings before interest and
taxes. The larger the volatility of sales puts MSLO in a position that

person centered and driven assessments, clinical programming, plan of care, treatment plan reviews,
transition planning and outpatient and after service to promote the rehabilitation, recovery, health

A Short Note On Melanoma And Prostate Cancer
Allenmar Sicsic
Fall 2014 Carcinoma of the prostate, commonly known as prostate cancer, is a diagnosis of a
malignant tumor (adenocarcinoma) of the prostate gland (Chabner). The prostate is a significant
muscular organ that belongs to the male reproductive system. Approximately the size of a walnut,
the prostate is located at the base of the bladder and in front of the rectum (Prostate Gland). In
conjunction to the seminal vesicles and the Cowper s glands, the prostate secretes fluids that
contain sperm which is transported into the female reproductive tract for fertilization (Prostate
Gland). The vas deferens is a tube that carries sperm from the testes and secretions from the seminal
vesicles to the prostate. After the sperm ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Unfortunately, prostate cancer symptoms may be asymptomatic during the beginning stages.
Therefore, all males over the age of 50 should have routine physical examinations because it is only
through some or all of the following tests that prostate cancer can be detected early. The first test I
will be discussing is called the Digital Rectal Examination (DRE), which entails the doctor
placing a gloved and lubricated finger into the rectum in order to feel for any lumps in the
prostate (Cherath). Most prostate tumors start in the posterior area of the prostate, hence why the
rectum is examined due to its location being behind the prostate gland. This type of pre screening
is less efficient than a PSA test, however, it can help men who have normal PSA levels and still
have tumors. If the doctor feels there is a need for further testing after a DRE then he/she may
request other tests to confirm the findings. Furthermore, the most common and routine blood test
that helps detect prostate cancer is the Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) test. This blood test is used
to measure the amounts of PSA circulating in the blood (Cherath). PSA is a protein made by the
cells lining the prostate gland, and normal levels of this are 4.0 ng/mL and lower.

Ninhydrin Research Paper
Two of the most commonly used chemical enhancements for plain dry paper is Ninhydrin and 1,8
Diazafluoren 9 one (DFO) both of which can be used individually and together. When they are
being used together, DFO has to be carried out first. Both chemicals react with the amino acids in
the latent fingerprint.
To carry out DFO enhancement a lab oven must be set at 100В°C with no humidity. The DFO is
mixed with methanol and acetic acid. The methanol is used as it allows DFO to form hemiketals
which give a higher reactivity with the amino acids in the print. Using longer chain alcohols doesn
t give as high a yield of fluoresces and development of the print. Acetic acid can be used to reduce
the pH of the solution making it acidic. If the solution ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is add to ensure the ninhydrin is soluble. Acetic acid and ethyl acetate are mixed with it to
produce a straw coloured solution. Ethyl acetate prevents esterification and moves equilibrium
towards acetic acid and ethanol, if esterification occurs the by product water will damage the
ridges of the print. Acetic acid is a catalyst which allows the formation of Ruhemann s purple. It
has to be kept at low concentrations as it could cause ink on the paper to run and therefore damage
evidence.
To carry out Ninhydrin enhancement a humidity controlled oven must be set at 65% humidity
and 80В°c. The paper will either just be undergoing this process or just dried from DFO placed
in the ninhydrin solution for 5 seconds on either side and placed on a tray into the oven for 5 7
minutes. The finger prints will develop producing a distinct purple colour known as Ruhemann s
purple. When the reaction is less intense a red/pink colour is produced. The finger prints are
removed and pictures taken of the paper containing the print with a scale and labelled. The prints
can continue to develop for a couple of weeks after initially being processed. Ninhydrin prints on
their own can be further enhanced using metal salts such as zinc chloride and cadmium salts. These
fluoresces increasing the visibility and detail of the print.

Education Is An Important Part Of Society
Education was an important part of society. Since the Cold War and the Soviet Union s successful
launch of Sputnik in October of 1957, improvements of education was necessary. In the 1960 s,
John F. Kennedy developed proposals to ensure the American education system were competitive
with students all around the world. His proposals were to ensure that every race, and religion
would receive a good education. However, not every child was receiving the same education
opportunities based on money issues surrounding them and the minority they were classified as,
the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 was to ensure that these issues would be dissolve. On
January 8th of 2002, six months and one war later after George W. Bush first proposed the No
Child Left Behind bill, it was finally passed. Under the No Child Left Behind, every state was
required to develop and implement strict academic standards in reading and math. These standards
obliged by law to every student regardless of ethnicity, social class, or mental ability to ensure that
in twelve years, one hundred percent of students could demonstrate satisfactory skills (Hudson 44).
The law also required states to create their own test and assessments, to be administrated to the third
through eighth grade annually. The results of these tests determined how much funding the school
would get. If the test scores were low, the school would not get as much funds as a school with high
test score would get. Underperformance schools

For these classes of which have been an inspiration to many artists to be let go, the school must undergo budget cuts. Due to these cuts teachers get laid off and those students who were in that class go on to other classes, essentially, doubling the original class size. First we are going to discuss Christianity and their beliefs. The word Christians is defined as a follower or disciples of Jesus Christ. According to The Bible, Jesus Christ was born from Marry, who was a virgin, this was only made possible by the Holy Spirit. Therefore he was not just man, but he was also God at once. In The Bible it is written in Matthew 1:23, The virgin will be pregnant. She will have a son, and they will name him Immanuel , which means, God is with us. Angels, which are defined as unseen beings who carry out Gods orders throughout the universe. Gabriel the angel who came to visit Muhammad is a key figure in Christianity and Islam. We can go all the way to the beginning, when sin was first developed, when Adam disobeyed God and cursed all of man with death. Christians and Muslims believe that starting with Adam, God appointed messengers, or prophets, throughout history to spread God s word and to teach the world about him. Another thing they agree upon is judgement day and the hereafter life. They believe that when judgment day comes that God will come back and Judge everyone, humans will be judged for their actions on earth and be held accountable and those who rejected him will be sent to hell, which brings me to the Ten Commandments, which are ten moral laws. Though the Ten Commandments are not specified in the Quran, nine of the Ten Commandments are quoted throughout the Quran. For example, the first pillar and the first commandment start with there is only one, God, only worship that God. Another important thing that they have in common is they both worship the God of Abraham. They both believe in Satan. Though their beliefs share similarities, they also have differences as ... You don t hear that your romantic orientation can be different from your sexual orientation. You don t hear that there are romantic orientations, each just as diverse and varied as sexual orientations. You particularly do not hear about the lack of these seemingly intrinsic human traits. If you do hear about them they tend to be caused by a health issue, or past trauma, abuse or a bad relationship. • 8. That Woman Cried Title: That Woman Cried Written by KyuSe7en501 Note: Forgive me if I ain t good in writing. T_T Twenty fourth of January a woman appeared before my eyes. She was crying, really, really hard. I didn t know what to do, I was at a total loss of words. Since then, I started wondering why women cry; are they just fond of crying, or, do they cry for something men don t understand? As a man myself I want to know the answer. Not that I love to interfere with their sorrows but I just want to have my curiosity get answered. Do they cry for no reason? Some people say women are beyond emotional. They cry because their hearts are soft, they also waste tears because they are partly weak, in comparison with men. I thought those were enough for ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Her voice trembled once again. Stop crying. You won t get anything if you cry. Crying makes me strong again. It s like a medicine. A pain reliever. It s the only means that makes me feel alive. She was still beautiful despite her situation. Maybe she really had possessed this natural beauty. Are you okay with your situation? I mean, don t you want to be called a real woman? I asked instead. I actually has had a dream to have a husband cause I thought having one could make me become a woman. I used to love a person who would love to love me back. I used to step on an altar with my wedding gown and with my partner in life two years ago. But someone took him away from me and now they are a one big happy family. She looked at me, something in her eyes told me that she was too vulnerable inside. Isn t it unfair? I may be a mistress, but I am just doing my part for the good of myself. • 9. The Music Of The Man Essay When Jazz first appeared in the state of Louisiana, although it had African roots, it was highly looked down upon. It was considered the music of the blacks , with a negative connotation and was disregarded as being a music genre itself in comparison with classical and other types of music. African Americans faced racism and prejudice for enjoying and being jazzmusicians, however African Americanwomen also encountered bigotry, sexism and prejudice along with racism. There were several female musicians, many of them very successful, but solely due to their gender, they were undermined, mistreated, and were discriminated against in the field of jazz music. In the beginning jazz was typically considered music of the man , it upheld a masculine and suave front and it deemed inappropriate for women to be a part of it. Charles mentions in his article on The Age of Jazzwomen, Male musicians dominated the jazz scene when the music first surfaced, making it difficult for women to enter their ranks. The fraternity of jazzmen also frowned upon women wind instrumentalists (Charles). This attitude disabled women to join groups or play instruments of their choice. Their talents and love for the music was completely ignored due to the fact that they were women. And the last solution is that people start planting new milkweed trees.Because if all the people start doing it the monarch butterflies population will increase because now they are going to have enough food for all of them and they are going to finish their life cycle and they can do all their migration for their lives. • 11. Different Schools Of Statutory Interpretation Introduction and Thesis There are multiple schools of thought when it comes to how courts should interpret statues and legislation, some schools advocate a literal, textual reading of the relevant statues, while other schools advocate taking other factors into account when making a decision, factors like the intent of the legislature when they passed the statue. The case AA v BB provides a good look into the issue of statutory interpretation because the two different courts that heard the case applied a different from of statutory interpretation. The lower court stuck to a textual interpretation, whereas the court of appealconsidered the legislative intent behind the relevant statues. This paper will argue that of the two schools of statutory interpretation applied in the case, textualism and intentionalism, neither is completely appropriate and that the pragmatic approach to statutory interpretation is the most appropriate method to use. It will then argue that the decision by the Ontario Court of Appeal in AA v BB is the more convincing decision as it best aligns with the pragmatic approach. Point I: Why the pragmatic approach is more appropriate than a strictly textualist or intentionalist approach. Textualism is a school of statutory interpretation that relies on the text of the statue to determine the true intent of the legislature. Textualism is heavily reliant on the plain meaning rule, which essentially means that when the text of a statue is clear and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In my opinion, however, I would support this phenomenon instead of opposing it due to some analytical reasons which I shall be explaining in detail. 1) Workers/Employees might alter their behaviour if they will be told about the inspection. This will not show the fair results of the monitoring. Two researchers, Elton Mayo and Flitz Rothlisberger, carried out an experiment in 1920s. Just because something may seem weird it doesn t always mean it s wrong. When you get closer to the situation, you become aware of why a culture does a certain ritual or acts a certain way. In light of everything, you find that what they do is not weird at all but rather a way of living within that specific culture. An example of this from the readings would be the Innuit. The Innuit make their home in the isolated land of Greenland all the way to Alaska. They have a very primitive way of living and have adapted to the cold icy climate. They have a nickname that is better known universally and that would be the term eskimo. In 1577, John Ross, an explorer, came across a group of Innuit hunters. The Innuit were very fascinated with Ross s ship and they strangely dressed people on the ship. But what they found to be most shocking was the amount of wood that made up the ship and the furniture on the ship. The hunters thought that is was ridiculous or weird that the strange men have that much wood. The hunters that Ross had came across was from Greenland, a place that had little to no wood, therefore they were not used to seeing that much wood in one place. Everything they do is centered around ice, even their homes are made out of ice. So we cannot really judge them on thinking that Ross and his men were some type of aliens. In this technology the flight control signals are converted into electrical signals which are transmitted to the processors through electric wires and the computer determines the movement of the actuators according to the control command (Crane 2002). Moreover, this system sends out certain commands to the computer without any input from the pilot, these commands are mainly transmitted for a more stable flight. The fly by wire system also allows automatic signals sent by the aircraft s computers to perform functions without the pilot s input, as in systems that automatically help stabilize the aircraft. Mechanical and hydro mechanical flight controls system comprise of all heavy steel cables, metallic pipes with hydraulic fluid, cables and pulleys which adds to the air craft total weight thus slowing it down and decreasing its full efficiency. Both systems frequently need unnecessary backup to tackle mechanical failures, which further increases weight. Additionally, both have inadequate capability to adjust to changing aerodynamic conditions. Dangerous maneuverability such as stalling, spinning and pilot induced oscillation (PIO), which is dependent chiefly on the strength and configuration of the aircraft concerned rather than the control system itself, can still occur with these systems (Crane 2002). Please research one of the below campaign host cities and use examples of Communication Management for securing the Olympic Committee voter bid. For the Summer Olympic games in 2024 I choose Los Angeles as the host city because it hosted the 1932 games. Another reason I picked Los Angeles was because they are the most diverse city in America but they are also the Western capital of the US, The Northern Capital of Latin America, and Eastern capital of the Pacific Rim. With that there are three main examples of communication management to help LA secure its vote in the Olympic bid. 1)Communication Process Los Angeles released a video calling it LA24 and it shows why LA should be chosen to hold the 2024 Olympics by having facts about LA come up throughout the video while watching someone run or swim or bike. 2)Sport Organizational Image LA has hosted the Olympic games in 1932 so they aren t new to this huge sporting event. The target audience in the LA24 is focused on all ages and races. • 31. Lab Report On Photosynthesis Daleigh Drgac Photosynthesis Lab Report Abstract These experiments show the different aspects that effect the rate of photosynthesis. Light intensity effects the rate of photosynthesis, the more intense the faster the rate. Different colors of light effect the speed of photosynthesis. Colors like white and blue cause it to go faster, while green is very slow. Lastly, there are different pigments in in photosynthesisthat control what lights are used for that plant. Introduction Photosynthesis is one of the most crucial biochemical processes on Earth. This process is used by eukaryotic plants and algae. They are able to be self sufficient by providing themselves with their own nutrients. This process uses sunlight water and CO2. The products of this process are glucose and oxygen. Which is then used in a process known as cellular respiration, whose products are water, CO2 and energy. The two processes are continuously working together. We completed three experiments on the topic of photosynthesis. In the first experiment, we tested the effect of light intensity by substituting NADPH with DPIP. DPIP starts out blue and changes to clear as it becomes reduced. Our hypothesis was the more intense the light is the faster photosynthetic process and the faster the rate of absorbency. Our null hypothesis was light has no effect on the rate of photosynthesis. The second experiment tested the effect of different colors, such as red, blue, green, white, and no light. Our ... • 32. Communist Union And The Soviet Union In the past, nations have decided to run their counties under a command economy, or an economy in which production, investment, prices, and incomes are determined centrally by a government. Command economies are more prevalent in developing countries, like on the continents of Africa and Asia. North Korea, Iran, Cuba, Myanmar, and Liberia currently have command economies and the Soviet Unionand China used to have one. In the past, many countries including the Soviet Union attempted to implement command economies that would later fail. As a result, most of the current countries using them are beginning to make reforms to leave their command economies behind, like Mikhail Gorbachev s glasnost, or political transparency, and perestroika, also known as economic restructuring, in the 1980 s (Dewdney). The Soviet Union officially collapsed in December 1991, ending the long standing communist rule under a command economy in Russia and its satellite countries for good. There were many oppressive elements to the Soviet Union during their almost 70 year reign over Russia and its surrounding countries. The communist political system and the command economy were both highly centralized. The economy was based on the idea that the all means of production, distribution, and exchange were controlled by the government, plans that were set in place by Soviet leader Joseph Stalin s five year plans that set goals for all forms of production (Dewdney). • 33. Loyalty And Chivalry Throughout The Middle Ages Throughout the Middle Ages, wealth and status granted by God was the main defining feature of power within a hierarchical status, yet within all upper levels of society, the concepts that defined individuals and groups were that of honour, and military prowess. These two concepts also incorporate ideas of manners and morals for those of higher standard within society to practice. All together this can be incorporated into the idea of chivalry, a word and idea commonly used within medieval Europe to describe a set of values with a large emphasis on upholding high social and moral standards, as well as devout loyalty to God and liege. Yet the most zealous task a knightcould undertake would be that of a crusade, it was not only fighting for honour but the trial by combat against a thoroughly demonized opponent merited more divine blessing that ordinary fighting at home. Furthermore many knights justified the intensive labour and tasks as [having] been assigned to them by divine will, outlining the attitude surrounding those following a chivalrous code. Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) is a CHD that accounts for an estimated 10% of these births. There are many factors that are involved in the diagnosis, treatment and quality of life for these children. The effects of the CHD vary in severity, therefore the effects it has on a child s life vary. The etiology of TOF, how specific organs, cells, and tissues are affected, and what organ systems are affected will all be discussed and explained. . The effects vary greatly between patients this paper will focus on the average effects of this condition in order to provide a better understanding of TOF. TOF is a CHD which means the abnormal development of the heart occurred during gestation .A normal heart consists of four chambers of cardiac muscle cells, four heart valves, an electrical pathway, and its own blood supply. The chambers are the Right Atrium (RA) , Right Ventricle ( RV), Left Atrium,(LA) , and the Left Ventricle ( LV). The blood flows from the Vena Cava to the RA thru the Tricuspid Valve to the RV. It then gets ejected thru the Pulmonary Valve into the Pulmonary Artery, and on into the lungs. In western societies such as our own, businesses tend to be deal focused where people are more task oriented. Saudi Arabia, on the contrary, follows a relationship focus culture, where people put dealings with friends ahead of business dealings. In Saudi Arabia they are part of a family centered society where trust of others is highly correlated with the degree of familiarity with them (Daniels 48). It is uncommon for businesses here to take a long time to decide if they will partake in a business transaction. • 38. Personification In The Pink Car In recent generations, typical looks or ideas have dominated fashion. People write about this topic through articles, newspapers, and papers. While models style and display the most recent styles, they also represent what women should look like. Not until very recently, people have realized that not all women look like models, unless they starved themselves or worse. In the poems, Fat is Not a Fairy Tale and The Pink Car , the authors convey their main message of the poem as the social aspect of the world and what they believe has the characteristics of the ideal person by using imagery and personification. Admiration for individuality, a common theme throughout The Pink Car , is constantly mentioned through the words of the Mark Halliday. Halliday personifies the cars in the poem as people; specifically focusing in on the pink car. He repeatedly describes the other cars in a jaundiced way; for example, he would characterize these cars as boisterous, rowdy, and big. However, he identifies the pink car as disparate, one who does not worry or care about other cars perspectives. The author wrote, Other cars might honk their horns to seem big // the pink car doesn t honk and doesn t worry (Halliday 25 26). Halliday symbolizes the car as pink because society commonly construes the color as feminist, sweet, playful, the color of love, flowers and romantic. His intention of this poem was to help one find peace within themselves. The author wanted the reader to see that pointing out one s flaws and blemishes cause people to become someone who is arrogant and too self confident by referring to the other cars who did not have the characteristics of the pink car. This poem definitely delineates what one wants to find in themselves, the satisfaction and happiness they eventually discover. The author characterizes the pink car with a certain type of satisfaction and pride which helps people look at themselves in a much more positive and confident way. He wanted people to read this poem, and have people realize that appearance does not define one s personality. He wanted people to grasp, that in a similar way, pink should not let society define what it is. In contrast to admiration described in the other ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Most prostate tumors start in the posterior area of the prostate, hence why the rectum is examined due to its location being behind the prostate gland. This type of pre screening is less efficient than a PSA test, however, it can help men who have normal PSA levels and still have tumors.
