The Day Of My Father Essay
I was born in Leon, in the Mexican state of Guanajuato, Mexico, on August 15, 1999, at Saint Luis
General Hospital. The day of my birth, my father decided to name me Fabian. While growing up in
Wisconsin, some people found it difficult to pronounce my name correctly, so my friends shorten it to
Fab. My parents moved to Racine in 1999 because a lot of our relatives had already moved to Racine.
My father was born in Leon, Guanajuato. He never enjoyed school. He found school to be boring. So
he spent most of his time playing goalkeeper for his team. At the age of 15, my father was in his last
year of school, this was when he met my mother. My mother enjoyed school because she loved to
learn new things and she was in the top of her class. An unlikely pair formed when my mother was
appointed to tutor my father. After a while, they started to go out and within three years of dating, they
got married and my mother gave birth to my eldest brother. This meant my father had to get serious
about work since he had a child to raise. I have a great deal of respect for my parents for taking jobs to
raise me and my siblings, and I am thankful for their hard work. Their hard work pushed me to
become the best I could be. They sacrificed their stead life in Mexico for a high risk life that gave me
the opportunity to have a better life.
My eldest brother, Oscar, is now 25 years old, and his favorite thing to do is to play soccer and to
work out. He is currently a Marine officer. My second

To: The Leadership Management Team
From: Dr Jim
CC: Dr. Zafar
Date:
Subject: Future Direction
Path taken
In light of the various issues raised in the previous meeting and following Dr. Blau s assertion of a
choice between him and Dr. Zafar, I would like to recommend that the leadership team allow me a
limited period to implement the new approaches to healthcare. As highlighted in the team meeting, the
new approaches are not a replacement of the traditional healthcare approach embodied at Brooks
Union but rather complementary offerings. The healthcare industry is evolving and as much as the
traditional health approaches remain relevant, providing the complementary health offerings

A review should be conducted after the one year and if no improvements are found, the leadership
management team can decide on another course of action including my resignation from Brooks
Union.
The leadership management team should also allow me to retain my team for the one year period.
Such recommendations are based on proven market analysis that the complementary approaches are
part of the new health market direction. On the other hand, I believe I have the capability to push the
organization to new heights and the one year period should show realistic progress.
Vice President of Medical Affairs
On the matter regarding the choice of Dr. Blau or Dr. Zafar for the position of Vice President of
Medical Affairs, I would like to maintain both individuals for the position within the one year period.
Dr. Zafar will be the Vice President of Medical Affairs to deal with issues related to alternative
treatment and wellness as the Medical Director. The positions will be as such for the period of one
year after which lack of any progress will lead to the stepping down of Dr. Zafar from the position of

Human Security Problems And The United Nations
Introduction:
The actions of the Takastand government has prompted this international conference to address the
human security problems and the repression of citizens in Takastand. The international community has
decided according to chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations that the political, human rights
and human security situation in Takastand require urgent attention and solutions. Due to its
geographical, ethical, and cultural proximity to the Middle East, Takastand is at risk of becoming a
violent hot spot as the events taking place in many Middle Eastern countries such as Lebanon, Syria,
Iraq and Yemen could spill over to Takastand and start an armed conflict.
Moreover, the new nation state of Takastand has been practicing an authoritative political policy on its
citizens which has led to many human security issues and human rights violations. The one and only
political party in Takastand consist the dominant ethnic community and discriminated against the
other ethnic communities. Also, international human rights organizations have publically criticized the
state of Takastand of repressing ethnic minorities and have presented evidence of mass graves. The
opposition groups in Takastand have offered to stand for individual human rights and freedoms and
democracy, as well as claiming that they will implement a true democracy which protects all citizens
and end the country s reliance on the West. However, as with the other ethnic groups, the position has

Social Status In Teenagers
Besides educational and socioeconomic status, race and ethnicity is a status that is incredibly
impactful in teenagers lives and it is singlehandedly the most influential social status in the lives of
teenagers today. Race and ethnicity determines what others think of a person on first sight. The way
our society is structured has created preconceived biases within all people against certain races. These
biases and prejudices are what cause the oppression of certain races. Similar to education and
socioeconomic status, race and ethnicity effects jobs people can obtain, the places they live, and how
people are treated. People of color have been long oppressed in the United States, when teenagers
began to emerge as an age group only white teenagers were focused on in the media, it was said that
As far as the national market was concerned, there was no other kind of teenager... Black teenagers
were still invisible as far as mainstream society was concerned (Palladino). The same was said for
Mexican American teens, For instance, Mexican American pachucos, the would be bobby soxers of a
less prosperous community, offered a very different image of teenage life, an image rarely seen at the
time, outside of social worker reports or professional journals...Like other minority youth, pachucos,
were just not considered part of the American scene (Palladino). The United States has been built on
the ideals of white supremacy, meaning that race and ethnicity determines whether one

Email Access For Electronic Correspondence
Email Access
Electronic mail has turned into the most well known type of correspondence in the twenty first
century. Without any difficulty of utilization in PCs, and the correspondence force of the Internet, it
just takes unimportant seconds to sort up and send an email. That is why, Email has a huge impact in
correspondence, both professionally and socially. However, there are several studies used to
investigate that especially in the Indigenous Australians have more difficulty to access to computer,

Yet, as per my view, there should be every Indigenous individual has their own email address.
Emails are a right or a privilege
Emails are quick. They are conveyed on the double far and wide. No other type of composed
correspondence is as quick as an email. Therefore, today with the press of a button, favoured messages
are routinely sent worldwide by method of email. In spite of the pragmatic and practical advantages of
email, its fast development in ubiquity of utilization has uncovered some of its shrouded pitfalls.
Privilege means legitimate guidance must be looked for from an expert lawful counsel; the
correspondence must identify with that reason; and the interchanges must be made in certainty
between special persons (Hall and Estrella, 2000). Thus, Emails feel like private discussions. Mostly,
in the working environment, managers regularly hold the privilege to screen each email sent or got by
a representative on a business possessed device or system (DeLisi, 2012). In bright of the separating
suppositions among the ABA, the beneficiary of an errant email must counsel any relevant morals

Professional Development Essay
There are several milestones that our society uses to measure personal development and suitability for
advancement to higher degrees of social responsibility. One such milestone is career selection and
attainment. Some individuals may never find a satisfying vocation, whereas others know what they
desire from the day they can communicate. A simple way to reduce the unfortunate friction of
choosing a career is to be self aware. Understanding what makes one happy, fulfilled, and the things
that are important to them, is the easiest way to narrow down the world s endless possible occupations
and ensure job satisfaction. There are many ways to gain personal enlightenment, perhaps the simplest
and most effective way is to take a course ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I began to ponder the results and realized that this is the reason for my wide range of noted talents.
Another facet of the results that I would like to mention is the careers of individuals with similar
scores/results. Management analysts/consultants, librarians, and pharmacists all have similar scores on
the Personal Globe Inventory. The noteworthy aspect of this is that these careers blend together a
variety of my strengths in management and analyzing, as well as my desire for order, and my passion
for the medical field and helping others. Though I find value in the assessment of oneself, not all tests
are equal in evaluation of the individual.
The Myers Briggs Type Indicator book exercise and the NEO PRI, though seemingly valid, did not
provide much novel insight into my career development. As a 25 year old young woman on the verge
of completing a bachelor s degree, I am very convinced and satisfied with my chosen career path. I
have had a good variety of life experience, both professional and personal. This being said, these types
of assessments do not provide practical information at this point in my development. Whereas, I am
convinced of their legitimacy and usefulness, it appears that this type of evaluation would be more
reasonable for someone who is seeking self awareness, does not have a clear path, or is seeking further
exploration into a prospective career to ensure its suitability for their personality and lifestyle. These
assessments would be

Mouhave Desert Research Paper
The Extreme Summer in the Mohave Desert
The Mohave Desert spreads across Nevada, Utah, Arizona, and some parts of the State of California;
and its climate reflects extremes of hot and cold. At winter temperatures are cold, as low as 8 degree
Fahrenheit, while the summer reaches about 120 degree Fahrenheit, winds are present year round and
blow at about 25 MPH regularly and there are gusts of 75MPH. There is no time were the extreme
weather is sustainable.
I was wrong and learned the lesson the hard way, mostly when extreme things happen to someone, the
first thing that comes to mind is taking an extreme measure; I was one of those people who took
extreme measures. My decision to move to Nevada was made in two weeks time when 16 Fahrenheit

The scientific, medical explanation about hyperthermia is that thermal regulation centers around the
brain help to maintain the internal body temperature by adjusting the amount of salts in perspiration.
Electrolytes help the cells in body tissues maintain water balance. In hot weather, a healthy body will
lose enough water to cool the body while creating the lowest level of electrolyte imbalance. If the
body loses too much salt and fluid, symptoms of dehydration will occur. The healthy human body
keeps a steady temperature of 37 degree Celsius, in hot weather, the body perspires. As perspiration
evaporates from the skin, the body is cooled, then the thermal regulating system in the brain helps the
body adapt to high temperature.
The extreme heat waves of the Mohave dessert are not responsible for damaging the magnificent
gadget of the human body, but our day to day decisions on how and where we want to live has a great
impact in our healthy lifestyle. I believe the weather is one of the most important factors when we
choose a place to live; extremes in any regards are not healthy, this applies to the weather

The False Portrayal Analysis
The False Portrayal I would like to address the current societal image of the African American women
that is being portrayed in modern American society. Also, to address certain stereotypes of African
American Women that are created by motion pictures, music entertainment, and other media outlets. I
will also share my perspective as an African American Women and my experiences meeting other
women of African American background to prove that that these stereotypes do not always hold
weight. As an African American woman I am very proud of my culture and the strides we have made
as a community over the years in terms of individual and community success. However
I ve become complacent about how most of the success that the African American Community
achieves usually and primarily measured through the sports, entertainment, and music industry. I will
say that I am grateful for my community to have these platforms that allow the African American
Community to have a voice and to part take in many important discussion surrounding the world.
However, I am highly frustrated at times with the portrayal of the women through the use of these
platforms. I am also frustrated at times with are community for not recognizing and celebrating the
women who have achieved college degrees. Since our own community doesn t always take the time to
acknowledge these sort of achievements it then spills over to other ethnic or racial groups becoming

Rebirth Of Walden Essay
Explain how the rebirth of Walden Pond in the springtime is like a rejuvenation of Thoreau s spirit.
The rebirth of Walden Pond in the springtime is like a rejuvenation of Thoreau s spirit because as the
reader is made aware, the winter season left Thoreau in a depressed, melancholic mood. This season
froze over Walden Pond, and made Thoreau shift his ideals in order to adapt to the weather. However,
since spring returned, and Walden Pond is reborn, Thoreau is reborn as well. He begins to draw
inspiration from nature, and provide his stance on certain religious aspects, as he did in the earlier
chapters of the novel. In addition, Thoreau believes, In a pleasant spring morning all men s sins are

This could indicate the reason to why Thoreau is writing about a beneficial topic. His ability to see
past the harsh views he is presented with during the dreary months is brought on by the nicer weather.
Moreover, spring does not only represent a comfortable season, but a state of mind for Thoreau. He
writes, we loiter in winter while it is already spring. In a pleasant spring morning all men s sins are
forgiven (Thoreau 155). This further elaborates on Thoreau s feeling about the new season. He
believes that spring has the ability to forgive and change a person, possibly allowing them to achieve
the immortality Thoreau believes that every man can achieve. He states, there needs no stronger proof
of immortality. All things must live in such a light. O Death, where was thy sting? O Grave, where
was thy victory, then (Thoreau 156). This indicates that no man sleeps in the grave because the light
awakens them, but all man might need to be forgiven of their sins before entering the light, and spring

Evaluation Of Water Related Climate Change Adaptation...
The aim of this research is to develop a set of indicators for monitoring and evaluation of water related
climate change adaptation interventions at the local community level in Thai Binh province. This will
help authorities at high levels, NGO officers, local residents and other beneficiaries as they can
evaluate the effectiveness of water related interventions. The robust indicators will help to adjust the
adaptation targets for given times, to ensure the accountability to stakeholders, to provide evidence for
the effects of intervention, to motivate all partners, to fundraise, and to reveal the shortcomings in the
implementation of water related adaptation interventions {Hobson, 2014 #328}.
This research will apply the sustainable livelihood framework and the local community participation
to develop the indicators. The sustainable livelihood framework approach will consider
comprehensively and scientifically the livelihood components of local residents. The authorities at the
higher levels, therefore, can more easily listen to and understand the local voices and have much more
respect and corporation with the local residents. In addition, the local community participation
methods will reveal the local residents perspectives of their needs, priorities and visions. The local
residents will also be able to understand the effects of adaptation interventions, to gain the skills in
observation of changes and to improve their adaptive capacity to adverse impacts of climate

The Issue Of Abortion On The United States Essay
The topic I have selected to write about in this research paper is the issue of Abortion, My thesis in
this paper is to analyze the history of abortion in the United States prior to the Roe vs. Wade decision
and afterwards, and to demonstrate the ways in which our two major political parties views on this
issue have shifted over time along with the public s view on the issue. Abortion has been practiced for
most of human history. The ancient Greeks and Romans practiced it, although not all ancient thinkers
had the same views on abortion. Ancient Greek father of medicine (Britannica) Hippocrates was
against the procedure; in the Hippocratic Oath doctors had to swear, To not give a woman an abortive
remedy. (University of Virginia) Ancient Greek thinker Aristotle believed that fetuses gained a soul 40
days after conception for male fetuses, and 90 days after conception for female fetuses, a process of
which he termed ensoulment (BBC) The Bible is inexplicably quiet on the issue.(BBC) Jesus said
nothing about the practice of abortion neither did the apostles; It is through early Christian writings
such as The Didache (Ante Nicene Fathers, Vol. 7.) that abortion was inexplicably condemned by the
fledgling Christian Church and in turn all of Christendom. Between the 5th and 16 century views on
abortion changed as abortion came to gradually become acceptable as long as it was performed before

The Murder Mystery By Edgar Allan Poe

From the year 1832 to 1836, Poe spent his time with his aunt, Maria and cousin, Virginia Clemm, in
Baltimore. During this time, Poe began writing and selling poems to journals in Baltimore and

Angelina Grimke Catharine Beecher
Angelina Grimke s public appeal for the institution of the human rights of all moral beings is
ultimately superior to Catharine Beecher s doctrine of female supremacy limited to the domestic
sphere. Both women are visionaries of their era offering contrasting views of women s proper place in
society as well as their moral duties. History has proven that Grimke is unwaveringly the contest
winner of this debate . Compelling reasons for Grimke s historical success can be seen in the women s
differing contextual arguments, the effective use of rhetorical mediums, and the personal embodiment
of beliefs.

not be ignored. These two means of rhetorical persuasion proved to be a powerful language in her
commitment to social reform. Another factor of Angelina s progress is the radical nature of her
arguments and the generation of loud opposition. Success raises up opponents . Angelina Grimke

Jetblue Is A Low Cost, High Service Airline
JetBlue operates as a low cost, high service airline. JetBlue (JBLU) revenues have increased by at
least 5% every year for the past decade. This continual growth in revenues coupled with a growth in

Jane Eyre Essay examples
Jane Eyre and the Lovemad Woman
I was experiencing an ordeal: a hand of fiery iron grasped my vitals. Terrible moment: full of struggle
blackness, burning! No human being that ever lived could wish to be loved better then I was loved;
and him who thus loved me I absolutely worshipped: and I must renounce love and idol. (311; ch. 27)
Jane Eyre s inner struggle over leaving an already married Rochester is the epitome of the new
lovemad woman in nineteenth century literature. Jane Eyre is the story of a lovemad woman who has
two parts to her personality (herself and Bertha Mason) to accommodate this madness. Charlotte
Bronte takes the already used character of the lovemad woman and uses her to be an outlet for the
confinement ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Through her tryst with Heger, Charlotte could certainly identify with the emotions of a lovemad
woman. She was rejected by her lover and can be seen as almost mad because of the emotions that she
projects into her writings due to this affair. Charlotte also was well read on the psychology of the time.
She attended medical lectures and would have discussed such with her father Patrick Bronte (Small
155). Charlotte eventually settled for her father s curate, Mr. Nicholls, as her husband, though initially
she did not love him (Winnifirth 111).
Through the events of Charlotte s life it is easy to see parts of her in the characters of Jane Eyre and
Bertha Mason. Charlotte uses Bertha as a rebellious outlet for not only Jane but for herself as well.
The feminist critics Sandra Gilbert and Susan Gubar clearly summarize this phenomenon when they
state By projecting their rebellious impulses not into their heroines but into mad or monstrous women,
female authors dramatize their own self division. (Gilbert and Gubar 78). In other words Charlotte has
Bertha as a sort of scapegoat that she can express her true rebellious feelings without demeaning
herself or her heroine. Charlotte makes Jane different from Bertha in the end because Jane uses her
will to overcome her madness and ultimately gets the happy ending that neither Bertha nor Charlotte
herself, it seems, were able to obtain.

Plato Improper Lie
[Justice] is normally put into the painful category, of goods which we pursue for the rewards they
bring and in the hope of a good reputation, but which in themselves are to be avoided as unpleasant

play a role in creating and maintaining justice. The distinction he makes between beneficial and
improper lies is that a beneficial lie is justifiable because it is for the greater good of keeping justice in
society; an improper lie is one that has a negative effect even though it is attempting to create justice.

known by two toned plumage, ruddy below and gray above. The male and the basic plumaged female
Ruddy breasted are more similar to female White collared seedeater, but Ruddy breasted seedeater is
smaller, with different wing edgings and a paler bill. It also lacks the obvious wingbars, which
distinguishes it from White collared

Strengths And Weaknesses Of Community College
Can one pretend that community colleges compete with each other to seem better than the other?
Kirkwood and Hawkeye are two community colleges in Iowa, both north of Mount Pleasant. Being
that these colleges are not the same they have strengths and weaknesses. They also have some
attributes in common. Location and job opportunities, activities and clubs, and expenditure are very
important elements to look at when deciding which community college would be most beneficial to
attend. Hawkeye community college is located in rural Waterloo, about two hours away from Mount
Pleasant. Being in a town of about 68,000 people and ten to fifteen minutes away from Cedar Falls, a
town of 40,000 people, there are a few job opportunities for undergraduates ... Show more content on

Cedar Rapids is home to about 128,000 people and neighbors Iowa City, which is home to about
70,000 people. If attending Kirkwood, one would have a lot more opportunities with the careers
varying quite a bit more due to the increase in people and ideas. Depending on what kind of person
one is, activities and clubs can be a major factor in deciding which college to go to. Hawkeye offers a
few different clubs going from art and literature to business, business professionals of American, to
leadership groups, etc. One leadership group is called student ambassadors. The students involved in
this organization help with campus tours, and visits. They also have several club sports and activities
that people can be involved in, some include: dance team, trap shooting, golf, and wellness club.
Kirkwood offers similar student led clubs. There is almost a club for every major: accounting club,
dental lad technologies, etc. Kirkwood also offers business professionals of America and a student
ambassador program just as Hawkeye does. Student ambassadors that attend Kirkwood help with
TGIF, which is a specific tour for Kirkwood. Unlike Hawkeye, Kirkwood offers several varsity sports
which consist of men s and women s basketball, softball, baseball, women s volleyball and men s

The, Snail Fever, And Katayama Fever
1. Describe the causative agent
Schistosomiasis have three different names and these are bilharzia, snail fever, and Katayama fever
(Mawyer, 2013). It is a disease caused by parasites, meaning they live off the living host to survive.
Examples of parasitic organism are viruses, protozoa, and helminthes. They are flatworm or fluke,
known as Schistosomes and they cause Schistosomiasis disease. Schistosoma is the spices name and
Trematoda is the class that the organism falls under. Helminthes is the group or family of Schistosoma
((Keas, 1999). These organisms are facultative anaerobic, and they have the ability to move around in
water and in the host bloodstream. They reproduce sexually and asexually depending on the stage of
development; they are intracellular parasites at the mature stage. They live in water in the immature
state. Schistosomes are flatworm and are different from other worms because they compose of the
female and the male worm. The adult female worm is longer (1.5 2cm) than the male worm (1 1.5cm).
The female worm produces several hundreds of eggs daily to enhance its survival rate. An adult life
span of a Schistosome can go up to 5 to 10 years, so you can image how dangerous this infection is
(Ferrara, 2010).
This organism is eukaryotic, because they are multi celled organisms. They are symmetric on lateral
sides; meaning if you were looking at the right side of a flatworm you will see that both the right and
left sides are the same. They have a

Review Of The Balcony Scene From The Movie Schindler s List
In the Balcony Scene from the movie Schindler s List a man named Amon Goeth, a cruel and
committed Nazi soldier who runs a Nazi work camp, is sitting on the balcony of his house which
overlooks the workcamp he is in charge of and all of the Jews who are workers at the camp.
This scene conveys the smaller scale version of a much larger scale event and genocide. This scene
depicts the overall systematic approach at a genocide of the larger scale event of World War II. Human
rights that were violated from this scene are; Article 5 which states that no one shall be subjected to
torture or to cruel inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment this Act was violated in this scene
because the punishment for small things such as tying your shoe or taking a small rest after working
all day would be death. Article 18 states that everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience
and religion this Act was violated because Jews were being treated unfairly because of their religious
beliefs. Article 24 states that everyone has the right to rest and leisure, including reasonable limitation
of working hours and periodic holidays with pay this Act was violated because, in the work camps,
Jews were overworked and underfed. Article 25 states that everyone has the right to a standard of
living adequate for the health and well being of himself and of his family, including food, clothing,

Ethics and Intellectual Property
Ethics and Intellectual Property
Intellectual property refers to creations of the mind, such as inventions; literary and artistic works;
designs; and symbols, names and images used in commerce (United States Patent and Trademark
Office, 2013). There are many ethical issues that have arisen in the business world today pertaining to
intellectual property. Some people may not think that it is important to protect intellectual property
however, the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) does just that. Intellectual property
is protected in law by, for example, patents, copyright and trademarks, which enable people to earn
recognition or financial benefit from what they invent or create (United States Patent and Trademark
Office). Protecting trademarks and logos is important, as these things are rightfully owned by the
person or company which created them. Many companies are known by their intellectual property,
such as symbols, names and logos. It can also be very costly to have these artistic logos created,
making it more frustrating when someone chooses to copy or steal the logo and use it as their own.
Ethical Issues
Businesses generally have attorneys to represent them or advise them on business law, and to read
documentation to ensure there are no legal issues. There can be ethical issues when consulting with an
attorney who represents another business that may have similar intellectual property as another
business. In the licensing journal, it

Rules In Ayn Rand s Anthem
Rules have been around since the beginning of time for the purpose of safety and control in a
population. But, what happens when there are more rules in place for the sake of control as opposed to
safety? The novel Anthem shows that when there are more rules for control of individuals minds, they
will be broken because the individuals realize there is more to be discovered than what they are being
told. This can be seen through the plot and climax, as well as in the characterization of the protagonist
and antagonist, and through Equality 7 2521 s first person point of view.

The Bloody Chamber Symbolism
In The Bloody Chamber, Angela Carter tells the tale of a seventeen year old girl who marries an older,
wealthy Marquis. Like many other clever authors, Carter gives the reader an opportunity to determine
the outcome of the story before the ending is reached through her symbolism and allusions which
foreshadow the ending. In doing so, she not only provides insight into what will happen next but also
further develops each of the characters through these complex symbols that she incorporates
throughout the story. Carter first alludes to the outcome of the story by introducing the ruby choker
that the Marquis gave as a wedding gift within the first few pages of the narrative. She describes it as,
a choker of rubies, two inches wide, like an extraordinarily precious slit throat (6). The reader can
infer a considerable amount from this one simple ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He orders her to put on that white dress you wore to hear Tristan and the necklace that prefigures your
end, suggesting as though he has known her demise was inescapable from the moment he gave her the
choker (40). Regardless of whether or not the reader had missed the clues that Carter left earlier in the
story, this reference to the choker is much more explicit, as it contrasts the dark ruby color with the
bright white dress. This illustrates the theme of innocence versus violence, which is seen all
throughout the story. The explicit revelation of the necklace prefiguring her end shows that the
symbolism that Carter incorporated in the story begins subtler and becomes more straightforward
towards the end. While not all of Carter s elements of foreshadowing may have been as lengthy and
apparent as the ruby red choker, not a single one fell short of its quality and effectiveness in helping
her to reach the overall effect of building anticipation and increasing tensions throughout the

Leadership Is An Influential Process

Leadership quality plays a key role in the success of the any organisation. Leadership is the ability of a
superior to induce subordinates to work with confidence and zeal (Brown, 2014). Leadership is an
influential process. In other words, we can say leadership is an ability of a company s management to
make sound decisions and inspire others performs well. Leadership is the art of motivating a group of
people to act towards achieving a common goal. Leadership is a winning combination of personal
traits and the ability to think and act as a leader, a person who directs the activities of others for
achieving the goals of subordinates and organisation s goals (Lunenburg, 2011). Leadership is about

It could be ensured that the rise of Emotional Intelligence idea has refreshed power attribute approach
which backtracks to 1930s (Robbins, 2001), however this time with a broad refinement, reverse to
countless qualities included in differing trademark characteristics (especially IQ), emotional
intelligence can be created.
Emotional intelligence is broadly known to be a key part of effective leadership. Understanding how
the brain works and how the emotional response works should also be an element in where we place
colleagues within our organisations (Brown, 2014). Having the capacity to relate behaviours and
difficulties of emotional intelligence on workplace performance is an immense point of interest in
building an outstanding team (Lunenburg, 2011). Also, Emotional intelligence should refer to
heightened mental capacities including thinking about feeling, for example, recognizing what
someone else is feeling, and that this should include extensive thinking as opposed to preferred ways
of behaving (Lunenburg, 2011). Their altered meaning of emotional intelligence was then advanced as
the capacity to perceive emotions, to access and produce emotions in order to help thought, to
understand emotions and emotional knowledge and to brilliantly regulate emotions in order to
promote emotions and intellectual development (Kulkarni,

Energy Producing Hot Water For Cogeneration
The proposed project focuses on developing an electrical generation thermal system which generates
5KW
power producing hot water for cogeneration. The Rankine cycle is used as the base system for the
design. The
solar energy is utilized in the project as a thermal source of heat to the system. The obtained heat
energy is
used to heat the system with overall system efficiency to be 60.4% and generate power of 5KW to be
used for
cogeneration and the waste heat recovered is stored in a battery which is utilized to produce hot water
even in
the absence of sunlight. The thermodynamic properties of the system were analyzed and calculated.
The
second law efficiency, irreversibility of the system components, maximum system efficiency and the
net work
done by the components of the system were majorly focused and calculated. The economic analysis of
the
system were performed by taking into account all the system components and found the system design
to be
more economical for small scale applications.
Introduction:
In today s world fossil fuels and other non renewable resources are on the verge of depletion. Research

My Life In The Trenches
Today was one of the hardest days I have experienced in my lifetime. We dug trenches, moved
equipment, and repaired broken equipment from sun up until sun down. To make this even worse, all
day the wind blew fiercely towards our trenches forcing us to endure the horrific stench of the soldiers
who have lost their lives in no man s land. I feel so horrible for the families of those lost brothers of
mine. They will never have the opportunity to give their sons, husbands, fathers, and brothers a proper
burial. It can get depressing here in these trenches as I do nothing but stare at the sky for hours on end
with no sign of life in sight. I try to keep my mind busy, but every still moment my mind goes back to
my brothers I have lost. I try to justify ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
We are positioned at the point where the River Aisne and River Oise meet. We know that holding our
ground is important because if some how they were to break through our trenches here they would
have clear access to Chantilly and then they would move to our most beloved city, Paris. Although we
know that holding our ground is very important, we had hoped for a chance to drive those nasty
Germans back to where they came from. The day started slow, the sleep I longed for had eluded me as
normal. Being tired in battle was no good thing, and almost no one on our side got much sleep.
Thankfully, we re sure no one on the other side got much sleep either. In the wee hours of the morning
before daybreak we prepared for battle. I had all those feelings rushing back to me; scared, anxious,
excited, and nervous. Once we felt we were ready we all quickly headed for our posts. There was no
good way to fight a battle in these trenches. Whoever got chosen to attempt an attack was almost
surely dead as soon as the orders were sent. Running across no man s land was one of the most
treacherous tasks we ever had. I have only been sent out twice, luckily both times I have been able to
retreat back to our trenches safely after our job was done. Both sides ran at each other like this all day
during battles. As you can tell this hardly lead to any good as hundreds died and only feet were gained
if you were lucky. Today was no different, we engaged in this same type of warfare for hours. I saw
fellow soldiers die attempting to cross to the German s side, and I even personally pulled the trigger
on Germans who attempted to cross to our side. Many soldiers say they struggle when killing others,
but honestly I do not. I have seen too many of my brothers shot by those Germans across from us that

Kant Vs Hobbes
1. Thomas Hobbes is the founding father of modern political philosophy, in his work ¨Leviathan¨ he
sets out why people should obey governmental authority in order to avoid the risk of chaos and
bloodshed which he defines as the ¨state of nature.¨ Imagine a world without laws. Hobbes called this
hypothetical time, with no rules to command our actions, a state of nature, and he describes life there
as solitary, poor, nasty, brutish, and short. In a state of nature, every man is against every man. One
might assume that in such a state of nature the strong would naturally triumph over the weak and
balance would be naturally restored, however, according to Hobbes people are equal. Every individual
possesses the natural right to preserve oneself, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In other words, what s the general rule that stands behind the particular action that s being considered?
Kant refers to this principle of universality as categorical imperatives. If it is necessary for you to lie
to prevent an innocent person from being killed, you must ask what the maxim of the action is. The
maxim, in this case, is lying. If you approve the maxim of lying even to save a life then you are
universalizing that action, basically saying that everyone should always lie if it is in someone s best
interest. If you should be able to do it, then everyone should be able to do it. This leads to a
contradiction and Kant explicitly states that moral actions cannot bring about

  • 2. The Day Of My Father Essay I was born in Leon, in the Mexican state of Guanajuato, Mexico, on August 15, 1999, at Saint Luis General Hospital. The day of my birth, my father decided to name me Fabian. While growing up in Wisconsin, some people found it difficult to pronounce my name correctly, so my friends shorten it to Fab. My parents moved to Racine in 1999 because a lot of our relatives had already moved to Racine. My father was born in Leon, Guanajuato. He never enjoyed school. He found school to be boring. So he spent most of his time playing goalkeeper for his team. At the age of 15, my father was in his last year of school, this was when he met my mother. My mother enjoyed school because she loved to learn new things and she was in the top of her class. An unlikely pair formed when my mother was appointed to tutor my father. After a while, they started to go out and within three years of dating, they got married and my mother gave birth to my eldest brother. This meant my father had to get serious about work since he had a child to raise. I have a great deal of respect for my parents for taking jobs to raise me and my siblings, and I am thankful for their hard work. Their hard work pushed me to become the best I could be. They sacrificed their stead life in Mexico for a high risk life that gave me the opportunity to have a better life. My eldest brother, Oscar, is now 25 years old, and his favorite thing to do is to play soccer and to work out. He is currently a Marine officer. My second ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The international community has decided according to chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations that the political, human rights and human security situation in Takastand require urgent attention and solutions. The one and only political party in Takastand consist the dominant ethnic community and discriminated against the other ethnic communities. • 5. Social Status In Teenagers Besides educational and socioeconomic status, race and ethnicity is a status that is incredibly impactful in teenagers lives and it is singlehandedly the most influential social status in the lives of teenagers today. Race and ethnicity determines what others think of a person on first sight. The way our society is structured has created preconceived biases within all people against certain races. These biases and prejudices are what cause the oppression of certain races. Similar to education and socioeconomic status, race and ethnicity effects jobs people can obtain, the places they live, and how people are treated. People of color have been long oppressed in the United States, when teenagers began to emerge as an age group only white teenagers were focused on in the media, it was said that As far as the national market was concerned, there was no other kind of teenager... One such milestone is career selection and attainment. Some individuals may never find a satisfying vocation, whereas others know what they desire from the day they can communicate. A simple way to reduce the unfortunate friction of choosing a career is to be self aware. I began to ponder the results and realized that this is the reason for my wide range of noted talents. Another facet of the results that I would like to mention is the careers of individuals with similar scores/results. Management analysts/consultants, librarians, and pharmacists all have similar scores on the Personal Globe Inventory. The noteworthy aspect of this is that these careers blend together a variety of my strengths in management and analyzing, as well as my desire for order, and my passion for the medical field and helping others. Though I find value in the assessment of oneself, not all tests are equal in evaluation of the individual. The Myers Briggs Type Indicator book exercise and the NEO PRI, though seemingly valid, did not provide much novel insight into my career development. As a 25 year old young woman on the verge of completing a bachelor s degree, I am very convinced and satisfied with my chosen career path. I have had a good variety of life experience, both professional and personal. This being said, these types of assessments do not provide practical information at this point in my development. At winter temperatures are cold, as low as 8 degree Fahrenheit, while the summer reaches about 120 degree Fahrenheit, winds are present year round and blow at about 25 MPH regularly and there are gusts of 75MPH. There is no time were the extreme weather is sustainable. The scientific, medical explanation about hyperthermia is that thermal regulation centers around the brain help to maintain the internal body temperature by adjusting the amount of salts in perspiration. Electrolytes help the cells in body tissues maintain water balance. In hot weather, a healthy body will lose enough water to cool the body while creating the lowest level of electrolyte imbalance. If the body loses too much salt and fluid, symptoms of dehydration will occur. The healthy human body keeps a steady temperature of 37 degree Celsius, in hot weather, the body perspires. As perspiration evaporates from the skin, the body is cooled, then the thermal regulating system in the brain helps the body adapt to high temperature. The extreme heat waves of the Mohave dessert are not responsible for damaging the magnificent gadget of the human body, but our day to day decisions on how and where we want to live has a great impact in our healthy lifestyle. The rebirth of Walden Pond in the springtime is like a rejuvenation of Thoreau s spirit because as the reader is made aware, the winter season left Thoreau in a depressed, melancholic mood. This season froze over Walden Pond, and made Thoreau shift his ideals in order to adapt to the weather. However, since spring returned, and Walden Pond is reborn, Thoreau is reborn as well. The aim of this research is to develop a set of indicators for monitoring and evaluation of water related climate change adaptation interventions at the local community level in Thai Binh province. This will help authorities at high levels, NGO officers, local residents and other beneficiaries as they can evaluate the effectiveness of water related interventions. The robust indicators will help to adjust the adaptation targets for given times, to ensure the accountability to stakeholders, to provide evidence for the effects of intervention, to motivate all partners, to fundraise, and to reveal the shortcomings in the implementation of water related adaptation interventions {Hobson, 2014 #328}. This research will apply the sustainable livelihood framework and the local community participation to develop the indicators. The sustainable livelihood framework approach will consider comprehensively and scientifically the livelihood components of local residents. The Issue Of Abortion On The United States Essay The topic I have selected to write about in this research paper is the issue of Abortion, My thesis in this paper is to analyze the history of abortion in the United States prior to the Roe vs. Wade decision and afterwards, and to demonstrate the ways in which our two major political parties views on this issue have shifted over time along with the public s view on the issue. Abortion has been practiced for most of human history. The ancient Greeks and Romans practiced it, although not all ancient thinkers had the same views on abortion. Ancient Greek father of medicine (Britannica) Hippocrates was against the procedure; in the Hippocratic Oath doctors had to swear, To not give a woman an abortive remedy. (University of Virginia) Ancient Greek thinker Aristotle believed that fetuses gained a soul 40 days after conception for male fetuses, and 90 days after conception for female fetuses, a process of which he termed ensoulment (BBC) The Bible is inexplicably quiet on the issue.(BBC) Jesus said nothing about the practice of abortion neither did the apostles; It is through early Christian writings such as The Didache (Ante Nicene Fathers, Vol. 7.) that abortion was inexplicably condemned by the fledgling Christian Church and in turn all of Christendom. Between the 5th and 16 century views on abortion changed as abortion came to gradually become acceptable as long as it was performed before The Quickening which was a term for when the mother first felt the child ... Through her tryst with Heger, Charlotte could certainly identify with the emotions of a lovemad woman. She was rejected by her lover and can be seen as almost mad because of the emotions that she projects into her writings due to this affair. Charlotte also was well read on the psychology of the time. She attended medical lectures and would have discussed such with her father Patrick Bronte (Small 155). Charlotte eventually settled for her father s curate, Mr. Nicholls, as her husband, though initially she did not love him (Winnifirth 111). Through the events of Charlotte s life it is easy to see parts of her in the characters of Jane Eyre and Bertha Mason. Charlotte uses Bertha as a rebellious outlet for not only Jane but for herself as well. The feminist critics Sandra Gilbert and Susan Gubar clearly summarize this phenomenon when they state By projecting their rebellious impulses not into their heroines but into mad or monstrous women, female authors dramatize their own self division. (Gilbert and Gubar 78). In other words Charlotte has Bertha as a sort of scapegoat that she can express her true rebellious feelings without demeaning herself or her heroine. Charlotte makes Jane different from Bertha in the end because Jane uses her will to overcome her madness and ultimately gets the happy ending that neither Bertha nor Charlotte herself, it seems, were able to obtain. ... There are many ethical issues that have arisen in the business world today pertaining to intellectual property. Some people may not think that it is important to protect intellectual property however, the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) does just that. Intellectual property is protected in law by, for example, patents, copyright and trademarks, which enable people to earn recognition or financial benefit from what they invent or create (United States Patent and Trademark Office). Thankfully, we re sure no one on the other side got much sleep either. In the wee hours of the morning before daybreak we prepared for battle. I had all those feelings rushing back to me; scared, anxious, excited, and nervous. Once we felt we were ready we all quickly headed for our posts. There was no good way to fight a battle in these trenches. Whoever got chosen to attempt an attack was almost surely dead as soon as the orders were sent. Every individual possesses the natural right to preserve oneself, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... If it is necessary for you to lie to prevent an innocent person from being killed, you must ask what the maxim of the action is. The maxim, in this case, is lying. If you approve the maxim of lying even to save a life then you are universalizing that action, basically saying that everyone should always lie if it is in someone s best interest. If you should be able to do it, then everyone should be able to do it. This leads to a contradiction and Kant explicitly states that moral actions cannot bring about ...
