Adversity is a difficult or unpleasant situation. The quote Adversity has the effect of eliciting
talents which in prosperous circumstances would have lain dormant by the Roman poet Horace

6. The Importance Of My Day
I start my day by walking in door number 2, walking through the lengthy Jr. High hallway, and
entering the cafeteria. When I get into the cafeteria, I usually see my buddy, Sami. After a few
minutes, my other pals, Bridget and Libby come, closely followed by Addie. The bell rings at
precisely 8:05 and there is a mad rush as the Jr. High students rush to their lockers. Everybody
starts hurriedly putting their belongings in their lockers to make it to their 1st period classes on
time. My first period is Language Arts. When I get to Mrs. Harrison s class I set my possessions
down on my desk, which is the first one next to the side white board. I then go talk with my
friends for the next 3 5 minutes. By this time, my other friend, Sophie, is there as well. She
arrives at school later than the rest of us because her brother drives her and refuses to get to
school any earlier than necessary. Usually around 8:14 and 30 seconds, I rush to my seat to be
their on time. You can hear the chime of the intercom coming on, and we all stand to say the
Pledge of Allegiance. The announcements continue with; events for the day, what is for lunch,
birthdays, and a joke of the day. As the intercom clangs off, Mrs. Harrison comes to the front of
the room to begin class. Depending on what we are doing, we might check an assignment from a
prier day, read a story, take a quiz, or do a worksheet. Sometimes, when I am finished with my
work, I become bored because I have no more work to do. If we

7. Canadian Pacific Railway History
The Railways are very important part of Canada s history and a part of transportation. For more
than a century, CP rail was called the Canadian Pacific Railway, and it remains today the railroad
that helped to settle the Canadian West in the Second half of the last Century ( Thomas York 129).
The CP was not only built to provide transportation, but it was also built to get British Columbia
united with Canada. It also helped many Chinese immigrants to come to Canada and had a strong
impact on the political and economic connection between west to east of Canada. It is beyond
doubt that the Canadian Pacific Railway was really the one that had Canada united as a country.

Five thousand labourers were sent from China by ship during these contracts and over seven
thousand were employed from California. Between 1881 and 1884 there were 17000 Chinese
labourers working on Canadian Pacific Railway. Chinese workers got paid $1.00 a day, and
from this $1.00 the workers had to still pay for their food and their camping and cooking gear,
[while] white workers did not have to pay for these things even though they were paid more
money $1.50 $2.50 per day (Library and Archives Canada). The Chinese workers had the most
dangerous jobs from others, as they had to break off granite and planted explosives that were
used to blow up tunnels. While working on the railway, many died due to accidents, fires and
dynamite blasts. The Chinese workers lived in tents, but these tents were unsafe as they did not
provide protection from falling rocks. When the Canadian Pacific Railway completed in 1885, the
Chinese workers needed to find new jobs. Several workers went back to China, while some found a
new job as gardeners, cooks and servants. The Chinese moved to east of Canada and settled there,
opening restaurants and laundries. When the railway finished, the government passed The Chinese

8. The Dual Purpose Of Art In Django, By Quentin Tarantino
Django did a great job of expressing the dual purpose of art. Write and director Quentin Tarantino,
delivered very deep emotional arousal and entertainment with this film. From my prospective
Tarantino use the dual purpose of art as a magnifying glass. To give his artistic view on slavery.
Through the basic elements of dramaand the six plotdevices. For example, take the introduction
scene with Dr. Schultz, Django, and Calvin Candie. This scene diction of the N word was used a
number of time. Which I felt it was too emotional arouse the audience thoughts as the Mandigo
fight took place. The fight in this scene appeal to both of the purpose or art. The fight entertains
and also raise emotions of the audience upon the fact that black males during that time period was
forced to fight each other till the death, with only one survivor standing.
The world created by this film gives it verisimilitude, and believability. The writer and director
did a great job with this movie. He delivered us with a piece that has believable multi
dimensional characters, who are fearless in their pursuit of their desires. Which in terms give me
the understanding that during that time period conflicts faced by slaves all related to the theme
survival of the fittest , and live fight another day. For example, take the character Django after he
had surrender and was sold to the mining company by Ms. Candie, he found a way to get back to
the plantation to rescue his wife. His ruthless desire to

Our style
We decided to delve deeper into the realm of physical theatre for our devised creative adaptation.
The main reason for this was our success in unit 2 were we used Frantic Assembly, an innovative
physical theatre group, as a Practitioner. We now want to work on the basics that we learned last
year but also extend our skills to more challenging and advanced physical movements and
sequences. Now that the shackles are off we are interested to look into other physical theatre
practitioners such as PUSH who use a much more a Dance weighted style of physical theatre which
is evident from watching their promos of tight pants and kung fu on their website. Another group
that we looked at are Volcano Theatre Company. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As a group we chose 1 to work on whilst creating freeze frames during 3 significant moments from
the performance. In these 3 tableaux s we made a character who was an embodiment of death. We
loved this as an idea and continued to devise around this theme until we had the skeleton of a
performance.
Like frantic assembly we wish to make thrilling, energetic and unforgettable theatre like that we
have seen in their performances of Beautiful Burnout, Othello and Blackwatch. These Frantic
shows have been a big inspiration to us in many ways. When we saw Beautiful burnout live we
were in awe of the pace, energy that flowed through the performance. We were also given the idea
of having a mentor and mentee in our performance from Frantic. Blackwatch inspired us in our
flashback scene in which we act as soldiers from the grandfathers past. It also showed us how
people act in the proximity of death.
As an ensemble our dramatic intentions are to shock and excite the audience with a mixture of
impressive and dynamic physical sequences. We also intend to move the audience and make them
reconsider their life. We intend to do this by writing deep and meaningful words at emotional
moments of the play but also by doing slower, more heartfelt sequences to draw the audience.

11. The Lottery, By Shirley Jackson
Conformity is not based mainly on containing and supporting a society, but also to dominate and
control what is within. The control of repressed individuality benefits those at the top of a power
structure. From early on, men were considered the breadwinners and women were to maintain
households; whether due to a difference in physical, emotional, or mental state; this was an
unquestioned hierarchy. Therefore, any women who pushed back were ultimately punished for
threatening the system. In The Lottery, Shirley Jacksonuses literary devices of symbolism, irony,
and characterization to reveal the danger of blind obedience, and implanting the thought of
resistance for women. To an extent, conformity is necessary in reality; time has shown that laws,
rules, and regulations that are innately bad can serve as the catalyst for rebellion, as recorded for the
French Revolution, Vietnam War, and Czarist Russia. Conformity lays the groundwork for good
laws to be constructed, and until that time, men are able to abuse and utilized the current laws for
their own superior gain. One of the biggest rebellions is backed purely by feminism, where women
are repressed by men. Unfortunately, in the past not many women knew their true value, and were
prematurely silenced; however, Jackson is revealing the reality of the restraints.
The author utilizes symbolism throughout her storyline to great effect. The physical properties, the

Sexual Orientation Discrimination Everyone agrees that workplace discrimination has no place in
the modern business world. But not everyone understands the laws that protect employees against
discrimination. In this case, what you don t know can hurt you, especially if an aggrieved
employee files a discrimination claim. Definition According to an article published by Workplace
Fairness, a non profit organization that provides information and education on employee rights,
sexual orientation discrimination means treating someone differently solely because of his or her
sexual orientation whether it be homosexual, bisexual, or heterosexual. This discrimination may
occur because of a perception of someone whether the perception is right or wrong. Someone who
is discriminated against on the basis of sexual orientation may also be discriminated against or

intangible. The tangible resources of the company include financial assistance, organisational and
physical requirements. Financial assistance is considered as the basic resource because all the
operations and functions of the business are dependent on this resource. For instance, the focus of
the company is that revenue keeps on growing, however, in order to achieve this target, investment
is needed which can be fulfilled by financial resource. Another division of tangible resource is
organisation in which the company need organisational resource for conducting their functions. It

15. The Clarity Of Scripture Analysis
Imagine yourself in a blustery sea with every human being in the world. Everyone is drowning,
and the only source of life is on a ship where the captain lives. Insistently, the captain throws out
life rings, but people, in the mist of their drowning, refuse and rebuke him. As ridiculous as this
may sound, this is how the fallen world today responds to the message of the most influential book
written, the Bible. As time passes, people pass, but Gods words will not pass away (Luke 21:33).
His words are the greatest literature ever written. They are read by more people, quoted by more
authors, translated into more tongues, represented in more art, are set to more music than any other
book or books written by any man in any century in any land... because they are the greatest words

This means that the Bible is ONLY understood by those that are seeking God s help and willing to
follow it (Wayne Grudem). Those who do not have the work of the Holy Spirit in them will not see
the truthfulness of Scripture. Psalm 119:130 says, The unfolding of your words gives light; it
imparts understanding to the simple. In addition, 2 Peter 3:16 also goes on to state that there are
some things in them (the epistles) that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist
to their own destruction. Like Jesus disciples did, we will sometimes misunderstand Scripture, but
we should not believe the error is in the Bible, but with the interpretations we have made, because
Christ s ways are higher than ours ways and his thoughts than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:9). However,
God provides us with scholars to make clear the errors in interpretations and to defend the Bible
from false teachings and interpretations. The clarity of Scripture also shows that if we do not

16. A Research Study On Relational Database Technology
Abstract. In this report I will introduce the Memcached technology and provide more details about
it. In addition, I will explain how it works and how it differs than relational database technology.
Furthermore, I will use the finding of the paper Performance Evaluation of a Clustered Memcached
to present how Memcached can improve the performance of the web applications. The paper that I
did study is about a simulation project of using three different architectures of Memcached. The
simulation results will monitor the CPU and RAM usability of all the nodes in these three
architectures. I will explain the results and will discuss the findings of their results.
The relational database technology dominated the web applications for more than 30 years. This
technology is able to handle limited load to the database. However, the internet technologies and the
advents of the smart phones make the web applications to be accessible by many users and from
any location that is covered by the internet connectivity. In addition, currently, the web data in the
internet is dominated by the social networking and social media applications which include:
Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and others. This kind of web applications will likely be
prone to the high load of the database layer. As a result, it was not possible for the relational
database technology to handle the database load for such applications. Even scaling out the
application servers will not solve the database load

Death is something every human is afraid of. We know it will happen sooner or later; it is
inevitable. Death takes away loved ones, it takes away people that are so important to us. So
many people have gone through near death experiences, which is why those people look at life
like it is so precious. Spiritual and physiological hypotheses are about near deathexperiences. While
there are some differences between a spiritual hypothesis and a physiological hypothesis, the
similarities are evident.
According to Oxford Dictionary, a near death experience is an unusual experience taking place on

19. Isaiah s Influence On The Jewish Community
Living in a time of corruption, social oppression and Assyrian devastation, the Jewish prophet Isiah
wrote about concepts and ideologies that have heavily influenced the lives of individual adherents
and Jewish communities throughout time. Isaiah s influence on the adherents of Judaism is
momentous as the book of Isaiah, which contains his writings, is found in the Nevi im the book of
Prophets which Jewish adherents and communities read, study and look to for guidance. Isaiah s
vision for morality and denunciation of hypocrisy allowed for a more holistic approach to life,

20. Essay on Social Theorists
Classical Social Theorists
When trying to compare three social theorists to each other, you must first try to understand the
intricacies that are entangled within each theory itself. Theorists, by nature, create theories that can
be debated from all angles but must be a tight fit in order to be considered applicable to society.
Theology as a single entity is constructed from deep intellectual thought. When social theorist
begin to develop there theoretical perspectives, they seem to have an overwhelming grasp on the
concepts they try to convey to us. Since it is extremely difficult to have such a complete strong

He said that competition forces people to establish ties with one another in a web of affiliation,
and in groups, conflict increases the degree of social solidarity within each group and at the same
time, decreases the level of tolerance for deviance.
Aside from seeing conflict as a social form, Simmel also saw money as a social form. Simmel s
Philosophy of Money is a stab at exposing how the forms of interaction affect the basic nature of
social relations independently of their specific content.
Simmel s major contribution to sociology resides in his concern with the basic forms of interaction.
Unlike Mead and Pareto, Simmel is hard to follow because he jumps from topic to topic, from the
micro to the macro and from the historical past to contemporary situations in his time. But in the
end, his goal is similar to all other theorists: to explain many empirical events with a few highly
abstract models and principles. (Turner P. 287)
Although he rejected many of the points of positivist doctrines, Vilfredo Pareto was somewhat of a
positivist whose major contribution to sociology was his Circulation of Elites conspiracy theory
documented in The Rise and Fall of the Elites. Also known as the Father of Mathematics, Pareto
thought that economics limited itself to a single aspect of human action and therefore, devoted his
studies to social theory. Pareto also thought that human affairs were largely guided by non logical,
non traditional actions,

21. Theories Of Pragmatics
Why are there so many theories in pragmatics concerning meaning in language? Why is the study
of language use crucial to understanding meaning in language? How does the development over
time of the main theories in pragmatics show a greater understanding of language use?
Introduction First of all, what do we understand with meaning? What is it? Meaning seems like a
very straightforward concept but it is very obscure indeed. As human beings we are designed to
acquire meaning from the world, it allows us make a conceptualization of the world. It is the most
important feature of language, as the main purpose of language is to communicate with each other,
in other words, to know what we mean . This looks quite straightforward and obvious as I have
mentioned before, but what makes meaning so hard to understand is the little consciousness that
we have of the knowledge and principles that govern our communicative ability that make us
humans. As Aristotle said in Politics, Man is by nature a social animal; an individual who is

22. What is Confict Transformation
Conflict transformation explains that rather then getting rid of the conflict (expression or
disagreement), it seeks to work at the problem from the inside out (Lederach, 1995). In this conflict
stated above the root of the conflict was when the customer did not retain her information and
software due to the suggestion given of performing a factory reset her computer. This problem
could have been resolved when the customer first came in the store and inquired about this issue.
The sale representative could/should have told the customer to backup her data and then suggested
a reset, even better the salesrepresentative could have done it for the customer. In saying this HP
should have also informed the customer that such things can occur when factory resetting a device.
Conflict Transformation is also reliant on a moral decision that are made on the spot and
understanding that not all conflicts are going to be all right and that faith may played a major
role in the end result (Lederach, 1995). We can see that the first impression that the customer
received and was directed to HP was an incorrect moral decision that was made on the spot. Due
to this decision it lead to frustration and a lengthy process to resolve for all parties. This gave the
customer a wrong impression of what both companies are like and may never shop with us again.
Another conflict resolution method that could have been used to handle this conflict is the interest

Education is the most important aspect of the living. It is important for educators and institutions to
know what it is that makes students want to pursue higher education. Knowing what motivate
students to learn and obtain higher educations can be helpful when dealing with students. Educators

choosing to go to university and study particular subject? Institutions need to have a good

24. Duckweed Grow Lab Report
Overall, it is recognizable that excess nutrients do have major effects on water ecosystems,
showcased within the three samples. By the end of the experiment, the samples differed vastly. In
the high sample, most, if not all, organisms had died off from harmful levels of the provided
nutrients. In the low sample, plantgrowth thrived because there was just enough of the provided
nutrients. In the control sample, nothing major had changed other than the amount of duckweed,
which was still acute. It is apparent that eutrophicationoccurred more in the low sample compared to
the other two.
The high sample received 6 8 drops of liquid miracle grow, which consists of nitrogen, phosphorus,
and potassium. Initially, it was predicted that this sample would serve as the one with the most
life. However, this was proven false. This sample shows profound levels of death and no growth
whatsoever. This is due to the fact that such excessive amounts of nutrients can serve as a toxic
poison to organisms. Over the course of the experiment, no additional duckweed growth was
witnessed. In fact, the few that were there originally ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The changes in this sample are the most visually apparent among the others. Between November
22nd and December 1st, algae growth skyrocketed, as shown by the dark green hue of the water.
Moreover, duckweed growth was rapid and abundant, specifically between December 1st and 6th.
By the end of the experiment, the entire surface on the container was blanketed by duckweed. This
amount of growth occured due to the fact that the amount of nutrients provided, that being of
nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, was just enough to provide sufficient nutrition for plant
growth, and then some. It hadn t reached the level of toxicity shown in the high sample, however.
When examined beneath the microscope, not much was visible other than copious amounts of

25. Underdog Wears Prada Sexism
The Underdog Wears Prada : An Analysis on Miranda Priestly and Villainy
In the beginning of the movie The Devil Wears Prada, Andy Sachs says She s [Miranda Priestly]
not happy unless everyone around her is panicked, nauseous or suicidal. This Quote paints a rather
cruel, uncaring, and even villainous character that Miranda Priestly embodies throughout the movie,
but despite this negative opinion, we still feel a draw to her, an undeniable intrigue due to the
confidence and strength she retains in her daily life. Chuck Klosterman, author of the essay Villains
Who are Not Villains, argues that a character is understood through their own realm, that we see
villains contextualized to their situation (48). Miranda Priestly is not seen as a villain ... Show more

She proves herself to be a successful and talented leader of Runway, but her employers still try to
replace her, excusing themselves of their sexism by claiming that she is getting old and less up
to date with the latest styles. It is apparent that she is actually being replaced because of the
common sexist misconception that women get weaker and less able to do their job when they
grow older, unlike a man who gets considered stronger and wiser. Miranda in response to this
misconception has to hide behind a façade, a persona of power and confidence in order to
compensate for the misconceptions held against her and in order to keep her career and the
respect of her position. Though, in actuality it is shown that Miranda is not as strong as she may
seem because towards the end of the movie, Miranda, unmade up and dressed down in a robe,
reveals that she is getting a divorce. She exposes the toll her job places on her life and gives a
glimpse to the stress and sacrifice she has made in her own personal life by creating a persona in
order to combat the fallacy of sexism. This persona is the root cause of her villainous traits; it is
through this persona that she demands so much of her employees and through this ambition and
self preservation that she is willing to betray people like Nigel. If she had security and the trust that
management naturally gives to men, she would not behave in these villainous ways and not have to
fight and hurt others to keep her

26. Examples Of Conflict In Father And Son
The clash between ideas of one generation and the ideas of the next creates conflicts between
parents and children. In this case, between fathers and sons. For example in Ivan Turgenev s novel
Father and Sons (1862), the central conflict is depicted through the motif of generational
differences, which are revealed through the portrayal of each character and his or her relationship to
others.
In Father and Sons, Turgenev reveals this conflict between the traditionalists Pavel in contrast to
the modernist, Bazarov. This conflict is raised because of each characters generation and belief.
For example Pavel is from an older generation who follows an old traditional Russian ideology.
However, Bazarov rejects the old traditional Russian ideologies and concentrate on the modern
thinking of Nihilism. Because of the two very different ideologies and beliefs, it is inevitable that
there will be a sense of tension and hatred building between the two characters which will
eventually lead to climax when one of the characters goes overboard, which is shown during the
duel of Bazarov and Pavel.

27. Essay On Organized Crime
Organized crime has existed since the creation of the world, but has evolved over time. Before the
1920s, most organized crime consisted of gambling and prostitution. The passing of the 18th
Amendment significantly changed organized crime for many years. It gave rise to bootlegging,
gangsters, gang wars, and other various crimes. Bootlegging became the main source of income for
gangsters, helping them fund their other crimes. Overall, the passing of the 18th Amendment
caused organized crime to broaden and become a much larger industry. America had started to see
much more crime and violence early in the 1900s due to the large increase in immigration. Many

Job was a righteous man who feared God and upheld divine standards. He abounded in gifts of
mercy and acts of godly devotion. Job routinely offered sacrifices to atone for his children s sins.
Hence, God was quite pleased to observe as his servant maintained integrity in his dealing. The
Almighty spoke about Job s godly devotion to Satanthe Devil. In fact, Satan claimed that Job was
primarily concerned with selfish interests. God decided to allow Satan to bring trials upon Job to
test the patriarch s motives. In this essay, I will highlight the significance of righteousness in the
debates between Job and his friends.
Job s debate with his friends was precipitated by the former s determination to uphold righteous
standards. Notably, Job experienced tremendous tribulations due to Satan s efforts. His 10 children
died while his livestock was killed. Job s servants also died under mysterious circumstances.
Unfortunately, his wife deserted and mocked him for his faith in God. In fact, she taunted him to
curse God and died. Nevertheless, these events could not break Job s integrity. Satan was
determined to intensify his physical attacks on Job. Job was struck with a debilitating illness that
subjected him to constant pain. Members of the community also shunned him. Later, three friends
of Job came to visit him. However, they did not say anything to Job for three day.

29. The First Chapter Of Anselm s Argument
The first chapter of Anselm s Monologian focuses on Anselm s argument that there is something
that is the best, the greatest, the highest, of all existing things. It is through this unknown
something that all things possess their goodness. According to the argument he puts forth, the
goodness of things in this world must be caused and must therefore stem from one thing that is
good, or from many. If goods can be comparable as goods, it follows that there must be some
general and unified way of regarding their goodness, or the source of their goodness. However, if
many causes have their goodness in common, it is through this goodness that they cause good
things. Ergo, there must be a common source. In either case, whether the cause is one or many,
a single, unitary source of goodness is indicated. Anselm argues that this source of all goodness
is not good because of something else, but is itself goodness. The proofs for Anselm s argument
are as follows: Whenever various things are said to be good in greater, lesser, or equal degree,
either a) different good s are good through different things, or b) there is some one thing through
which they are all good. Anselm s argument supports option b. He purports that there are infinite
goods, which can be experienced by the senses and identified through reason. Hence, there is some
one thing through which all goods are good, and that through which all goods are good is a great
good. Furthermore, that through which all

Now that the background of the disaster is known, we can begin to analyze its many
components. From the leadership skills or lack thereof, to the heuristic traps the hikers fell into,
to the many voices that bring multiple views of this climb to life, the 1986 Oregon Episcopal
School climb is one that has people wondering how so many lost their lives in a seemingly simple
trip. In doing this we are able to see how this disaster could have been prevented allowing us to
learn from the mistakes of this tragic event.
The leadership, group functioning, experience, and skill of the nineteen individuals who made their

Those who survived the tragedy bring the voice of what it was really like up on the mountain to
life. The parents of students who didn t survive bring the feeling of grief and the opinion that the
school was never prepared enough to take kids up the mountain (Hallman, 2014). Though some
hold the school responsible, others believe that the leaders provided were adequate as was the
equipment. The media also provides an interesting view into the climb. Because they bring the
voices of the parents, community, and survivors together, the recordings from May 12th through
15th prove to be valuable when dissecting the events that occurred. Newspapers, magazines, and
television reports all freeze this disaster in place among the records of Mount Hood. Finally, the
voices of the public provide interesting insight on the climbers and leaders who failed to come
back home. Through contrasting views of Summers, Goman, and Horwell, the trip leaders, we learn
that not everyone believed them to be fit to guide the trip. By comparing these multiple viewpoints,
it becomes clear that if the group had taken the correct precautions and listened to the weather

Violence in the workplace is a growing trend among American businesses that needs the prompt
attention of individuals, governments, and corporations alike. In fact it is so serious that violence
in the workplace in recent years has grown to be the second leading cause of death in the
workplace (Baron, Hoffman, Merrill, 2000). Responding to this epidemic will take a tailored
dynamic approach that must be embraced by employees and management alike. First, we must
understand exactly what constitutes workplace violenceand understand some common triggers from
past cases. Second, employees and managers must know and understand what signs they must be
aware of that could escalate into workplace violence through effective and recurring... Show more

Unfortunately, these employees had not been briefed in symptom recognition of potentially violent
behavior, nor given instructions on how to report such information (Mattman, 2001). Several of
these key behaviors include, but are not limited to: drug/alcohol abuse, depression, increased
absenteeism, threats or verbal abuse, signs of mental illness, paranoia, projecting their problems
onto others namely management. If most companies took a proactive stance at mitigating
workplace violence there could be a significant reduction in the occurrences of these events.
Preventing workplace violence has to be executed around a dynamic approach in which multiple
factors are combined to place workers in a safe working environment. The first and most
comprehensive tool that every organization should have is a workplace violence policy. An
effective workplace violence policy has two main focal points. First, good policies provide clear
guidelines for expected behavior, definitions of unacceptable behavior, and outline the penalties for
violating the policy (Baron, Hoffman, Merrill, 2000). This is imperative and must be
communicated constantly to all employees. An employee s initial immersion into the policy should
occur before they begin to work for the job they were hired to do. Every organization s

Abstract The purpose of this study was to evaluate hydrolyzed feather meal (HFM) as a
substitute for fish meal (FM) or soybean meal (SBM) in Nile tilapia fry diets. Triplicate groups of
fish (initial body weight 2.30 g В± 0.01) were fed seven isonitrogenous and isocaloric diets
formulated to contain 30 % crude protein and 19.70 kJ g 1 gross energy for 8 weeks. The control
diet (CD) contained 22 % local FM and 30 % SBM, whereas in the other six diets, HFM replaced
33, 66 or 100 % of FM or SBM. The best weight gain
(11.46), specific growth rate (3.14) and feed conversion ratio (1.24) of tilapia fry fed
SBM33%, CD, FM33% and SBM66% diets were exhibited. Final body weight and protein
retention increased in a linear pattern with increasing amino acids in the experimental diets with
the exception of leucine and valine. The results indicated that good quality HFM can successfully
replace FM or SBM by up to 33 and 66 %, respectively, in Nile tilapia fry diets without
compromising growth and protein utilization. The results also support the benefits of combining
different sources of plant and animal proteins in Nile tilapia diets.

37. The Causes And Effects Of Stereotypes On Women
Stereotypes are seen everywhere people go. They have affected women since the dawn of time.
The ones held for women affect them in every possible way . All the little stereotypes that
women have add up creating big effects on women s day to day life. Their is no way around it
especially in the workforce. The impact of stereotypes starts at a young age and these impacts stick
with them fro the rest of their life. The cause of the impacts determines their career.
The effects of stereotypes that women face in society start very early in their childhood. The media
plays a big role in this. Miribel Tran the author of an article called The Effect of Social Media in
Young Girls talks about how every time a girlopens a magazine, turn on the television or goes on
any form of social media there is always a model on there that has been photoshopped to look
smaller than she already does. There is always a new product out there to make them look better
or more attractive . This makes girls feel like they have to look this way and if they do not they
will not be noticed or looked at in a positive way. This causes most little girls to go into
depression. Depression leads the little girls getting obese. The obesity makes them feel more
worse about them because they think they are even further away from looking like the women
they see on social media. This just makes it even more bad because this leads to grades falling in
school (Tran ). The falling of their grades affects them in the future because if their grades fall they
feel dumb. This makes them think that they will not get into a good college because they feel they
are not smart enough for it. This stops girls from pursuing their dreams and affect the type of job
they get in the future.
The stereotype that men hold the character trait of brilliance and women do not is another big
one that affects little girls. It affects most girls at the age of six. In theguardian Nicola Davis talks
about a research done by three US Universities about how this stereotype affects girls. They did a
research on 400 kids between the ages of five and seven half of them were girls the other half were
boys. Out of the 400 kids 96 girls and boys of all three ages were shown

Breast augmentation may be a breast lift or breast implants. For some women, a breast lift is all it

Liposuction can remove fat, but it does not treat loose or stretched skin that may be left behind

42. The Issue Of Abortion And Abortion Essay
The issue of abortion is a controversial one; there are arguments on both sides of the debate. In
1973 the national case of Roe v. Wade, sparked political decisions that created a national right to
abortion. Further, Roe v. Wade declared that unborn children are not `persons nor are they entitled
to the same constitutional protection as `born children (Baird, Rosenbaum, 2001). However, Roe
v. Wade did not end the debate, nor, did it stop both sides for continuing the fight for their
individual beliefs. On the one hand, pro choice s believe that woman are entitled to have abortions.
Stating that an unborn child is under the rights of the pregnant women. On the other hand, pro
lifers believe that a woman should not have the right to obtain an abortion, stating that an unborn
child is a human deserving the same constitutional rights as a child that has been born. The
political goal most frequently mentioned by pro lifers has been a Human Life Amendment (HLA)
to thus, reverse Roe v. Wade. The HLA would declare unborn children to be persons deserving
equal protection under the Constitution. From an ethical standpoint, one can take either side, for
not only these reasons but also many more that we will further explore. I personally think that
abortion is a decision that can only be made by the person in question, and not between that person
and the government or an HLA. We well first look at the overall argument of the pro choice side.

44. Essay On My Life Experience
Each day we all experience things that are extraordinary and sometimes unforgettable. Yet it s
how we let those experiences impact us individually that makes us each unique. An experience
in my life that changed how I acted, thought, and felt was the first time I volunteered at my
church during their summer scamp sessions. The scamp sessions aimed to make the lessons
correlate to things the kids would do during summer camps. Serving at one of these session
allowed the year round volunteers to continue serving if they wanted, but also have the ability to
take a vacation and enjoy the church s service. Although life offers a multitude of life changing
experiences, serving at Mecklenburg Community Church for the first time was greatest
experience because I gained connections in my community, learned strong leadership skills and
gained a desire to serve others first. It all began when I attended my first scamp session and I
had several opportunities for jobs outside of the church over the summer and translating into the
school year. The first time I served at Meck I was able to meet and be introduced to three
families at the church who later reached out to me for weekly opportunities to work with their
kids. In seeing the kids both in and outside of church over the summer scamps I gained more
insight of their lives and personalities. One specific family that I met the first time I volunteered
was the Harris family. I made a close bond with their youngest daughter

45. Speech On Healthy Lifestyle
Our lifestyle can have a big impact on how we feel. When we don t take care of ourselves, we can
experience a number of problems, including sleep difficulties, fatigue, low energy, trouble
concentrating, and increased tension and stress. These problems can leave us vulnerable to anxiety.
Making healthy choices will help you feel better.
Remember, the goal of developing a healthy lifestyle is not to eliminate anxiety
(because anxiety plays an important adaptive role without it we would not survive), but to help us
to function at our best (for more information on anxiety, see What is
Anxiety?). Having a healthy lifestyle puts us in a better position for managing anxiety.
Here are some ideas for building a healthy lifestyle.
пѓ Set a Routine.
Establish a routine by setting specific times for meals, work, housework, quiet time, and bedtime.
We feel more secure when there is some predictability to our day. It also helps us get things done
and reminds us to take time for ourselves. Having a routine can help you to set the stage to better
manage your anxiety.
пѓ Become Active.
Regular exercise can have a positive impact on both your emotional and physical health.
In fact, exercise is one of the most powerful tools for managing stress and anxiety.
However, it can be hard to start a regular exercise program. So, start small and work your way up.
Aim for at least 20 minutes of physical exercise three to four times a week.
You ll be more likely to stick with a program if you choose

47. Different Times, Different Ideals
Different Times, Different Ideals The world is a very different place than it was 1,000 years ago.
There was a time in our history that women were not valued for anything other than their sexual
function, and they were expected to quietly tumble into the social image men created for them.
Racism also was commonplace and widely accepted, and violence was a casual occurrence of life
then. This time period is known as the Victorian Era. A very widely known children s book today
was actually written during this time period by J.M. Barrie Peter Pan. This novel created for
children contains the Victorian Era s socially accepted ideals relating to sexism, racism, and
violence and the physical acts resulting from the prevalence of these ideas at that time, which are
most certainly outdated and considered inappropriate for children in today s society despite the
obviously uninformed popularity that remains with this tale.
This book displays its sexism quite openly. There is an ongoing battle of two exceedingly different
sides of womanhood throughout the story. It encourages the engagement between a mother like
figure and a harlot. Throughout the novel, all the female characters must either be parental or crave
the companionship of a male character, which often results in jealousy. Wendy and Tinker, being
the two main female characters of the story, represent these two different types of women
acceptable in the Victorian Era.
Wendy, who is a mother like figure to the Lost Boys
