A.j Ranch is a beautiful place it has horses, stables, a rodeo arena, campsite and much more. We
stayed in a little cabin, in the woods on their property. It was really small, there were four bunk
beds, and a loft. Our troop leader Tabitha Amelia s mom, and Emma s mom and Bella s moms
stayed up in the loft, there was three cots. Back on the main floor my troup (a total of 8 girls)
slept in bunks. Hailee and I shared a bunk. I slept on the bottom bunk , and Hailee on the top.
On the second night of our stay at A.j Ranch we went to the rodeo. A.j Ranch has a lot of
property, we had to ride a wagon from our cabin in the woods to the ranch where the rodeo was
being held.
On the other side of the ranch people were preparing for the rodeo, but first there was a big
BBQ. They roasted a gigantic pig over the fire. It looked delicious, and the scent smelled so good
that you wanted to eat it all. They had everything there, there was a long line of tables full of food,

(FTC Act) resulted in consent decrees and settlements, subsequently scrutinized by practitioners as
carrying as much precedential value as judicial opinions.
In 2015, the Third Circuit Court Appeals decision in Wyndham reinforced the FTC s authority to

Independence movements have occurred across the globe as long as countries have existed.
Stronger and more developed countries frequently attempt to grow their empires through means of
colonization or imperialism which leave long lasting effects on nations and generations to come.
The two nations that I have chosen to compare and contrast with regards to independence
movements are Moroccoand Brazil. Each country experienced pros and cons during the time they
were under the control of different nations and each was able to establish independence after
growing pains and frustrations occurred.
Analysis
Although both countries, Morocco and Brazil, were products of European imperialism, they each
encountered very different experiences. Morocco was a French protectorate between the years of
1912 and 1955. When nearby countries experienced economic weakness and crises, they
succumbed to rule by the British, Turkish or French. Morocco was able to avoid exterior control
until rivalries between European nations started increasing until inevitably, France stepped in.
Morocco had previously been independent for over 1,000 years and had openly accepted
influences from Muslin Iberia as well as the Ottoman Empire. France had expressed interest in
Morocco as early as 1830 as the country was deemed advantageous geographically, and Portugal

milk jugs, oil bottles, toys, and plastic bags. HDPE is also very durable, and often used for

From the perspective of a parent, whose primary concern is the wellbeing of their child, some of the
author s points seem valid. However, I find the author, Joe Hagmann, has his tin foil hat on, and the
thought that the entertainment industry is conducting an elaborate scheme to brainwash children,
is a tad further than ridiculous.
To eliminate independence from the equation doesn t seem like a sound idea in my opinion. Yes,
for the most part parents are an excellent force of guidance that can steer a child in the correct
direction, but limited exposure to the media and the un Godly world we live in won t be as useful
when they re old enough to leave the nest. I don t believe that a parent s word will be enough to
prepare oneself for reality. For instance, you can describe to someone how to make a movie with
an infinite amount of detail, but it s trumped by the much simpler option of showing them a movie
and learning by example. Would a 9 year old, like Hagmann s be too young for complete autonomy
and control in their life. Yes. I, however, believe that the road to independence should be gradual,
and that parents should have full authority, and then throw them into the deep end when they re still
highly dependent on them.
I view a bad TV show, like the one described by the author, as an excellent opportunity to draw a
line in the sand between right and wrong. Besides, plenty of TV shows exemplify good morals and

Well before I read this book, I actually did think about what the title could mean and why the
author wrote it so. Before I read this book I thought the book was about astronauts or something
ridiculous. During the book I had some ideas that The Fault In Our Stars meant a mistake or
something that predestined one s fate. I was kind of close. The title meant that the Fault is not

Category 2, #3 If this book were to be found in the distant future, 3052 to be exact, I would think
that it was written for a more fantasy driven culture. If some random historians and sociologists
just randomly came by this book, first they d probably think what is a book, why was society so
messed up back then, and why were their books so amazing. One could conclude that their era
was one of literary prosperity. Most likely because of influences from previous eras of literature
and innovation increasing throughout time. Category 3, #1 I think that one of the characters that I
notices the most was Peter. He was the author of the book Imperial Affliction, which Hazel Grace
and Augustus Waters both read and found something in common. They both loved this story so
much that they went to Amsterdam where Peter lived and confronted him in order to find out the
untold ending. When they realize a few things about Peter (he is a total jerk, drunkard, and that he
didn t even write the end of his book) and his book, they just decide to forget him. But later on, at
the ending of the book when the tide turns and Augustus Waters washes away, Peter Van Houten
shows up and reveals his characters flaws happened because of his children s deaths. This made me
sit up and appreciate the making of this character, and the authors creativeness throughout the book.

Haunting yet passionate, A Farewell to Arms allows readers to perceive the story from a soldier
s point of view. Hemingway depicts the harsh war with sensory but blunt details. His expression
of words has an emotional appeal on the reader, allowing his or her to put themselves in the shoes
of any character. For example, on page 73 Hemingway writes, There was sunlight coming through
the shutters. I saw the big armoire, the bare walls, and two chairs. My legs in dirty bandages, stuck
straight out of the bed. Hemingway fully describes what is seen and this permits his audience to
have a full picture in their mind.
Hemingway includes important quotes throughout the novel. On page 26, Miss Barkley starts,
You did say you loved me, didn t you? and Henry replies, Yes, I lied, I loveyou. I had not said it
before. Later, she brings up the rotten game they play as their affection isn t completely real.
The men at the mess begin to talk about protesting war on page 61, You are a foreigner. You are a
patriot. And the ones who would not make war? Can they stop it? I don t know. They speak of this
earlier in the book (page 43) as well but they can never fully understand how war starts or ends. On
page 99, Henry and Barkley speak of their love, I only wanted it for you. There isn t a me. I m you.
