The relationship between Paris and Helen differs greatly from the relationship between Hector and
Andromache. These differences are most evident in books three and six. A major difference
between the two relationships is whether or not an outside force is pushing the relationship. In
book three lines 486 to 489, Aphrodite forces Helen to go back to the bedroom with Paris. Initially,
Helen does not want to go stating that it would be disgraceful to share that coward s bed once
more (, 476). Helen very clearly does not want to go back and be with Paris, but cannot go against
Aphrodite s wishes which is shown as she [goes] along, in silence (, 488). Hector, on the other hand,
makes the choice to go back and see his wife in book six. Unlike Helen going along is silence,
Andromache came running up to meet him (V, 466). Andromache s eagerness, as shown by her
running, supports the idea that her relationship with Hector is not forced. This is a huge
difference from Helen s reluctance of being with Paris due to it being forced by Aphrodite.
There is also a huge difference between the relationships in whether or not one wishes their
partner were dead. In book three, when Helen sees Paris back to the war she is disgusted to see
him back and not fighting as shown by her saying, Oh would to god you d died there, brought
down by that great soldier, my husband long ago (, 500 501). Not only does she say she wishes he
would ve died she also brings up that her previous husband, Menelaus, would have killed him.
Later, in line 510, she reiterates a similar statement saying that Menelaus would impale Paris
with his spear. Helen s wishes of Menelaus killing Paris is a sharp contrast to how Andromache
reacts after Hector returns home. Andromache begs Hector to stay with her and pleads in book 6
line 511 to think about how her son will be an orphan and she will be a widow if he dies. Even
the thought of Hector dying and leaving her alone made her act like a madwoman (V, 460).
Andromache differs greatly from Helen here in the way that she so desperately wants Hector to
live while Helen seemingly wants Paris dead.

publishes research on the complex history of California from many different perspectives.
During the course of my internship, I have completed various projects involving analysis,

(Kerr, 2000). In impairment of one or more children problems, according to Kerr (2000), the
spouses focus their anxieties on one or more of their children and the children focus their anxiety on

concept of this theory is the family projection process. This concept describes the primary way
parents transmit their emotional problems to a child (Kerr, 2000). This process can impair the
functioning of one or more children and can increase their clinical symptoms. Some problems that
children inherit from their parents include the need for attention and approval; difficulty dealing
with expectations; the tendency to blame oneself or others; feeling responsible for the happiness of
others or that others are responsible for one s own happiness; and acting impulsively to relieve the

A Call to Women, a Call to All Elizabeth Cady Stanton fought tirelessly against inequality between
men and women, an issue that still plagues this nation. From her first address to her last, Elizabeth
was the voice of the women s rights movement. She lectured across the nation and publically

potent speeches were Declaration of Sentimentsand Resolutions and Solitude of Self . These
speeches served as her introduction and adieu as an overt promoter of women s rights ( The

Resolutions and Solitude of Self in support of women s rights, due to the differing audiences
addressed, the speeches vary in structure, overall message, appeal, and use of rhetorical devices.
Stanton orates A Declaration of Sentiments and Resolutions on July 19, 1848, at the Seneca Falls
convention, to a crowd consisting of mostly females. This marks the first gathering devoted to the
women s rights movement ( The Women s Rights... ). Stanton models her speech after the
Declaration of Independence (Appleby 74 77). She reflects the structure by beginning with a
preamble followed by a declaration of natural rights. She then lists man s grievances against women

When people hear the name Ben Carson they think of the neurosurgeon, who separated the
Siamese conjoined twins; Patrick and Benjamin Binder, at his adult age of 33. They will
remember what a tough process it must ve been on the parents, and especially on their mother,
Theresa Binder after she d searched throughout the medical world to find a team that would
separate her twins while being able to preserve both of their lives. There were other surgeon teams
who told her it could not be done and that one of her sons would have to die, which is a thought

Advantages Of Multi-Dimensional Family Therapy
Model Applied:
In the scenario, the family which consisted of 17 year old Lisa and her mother Ms. Bowler, were
mandated to attend monthly therapy sessions. In the therapy sessions the therapist implemented
Multi Dimensional Family Therapy (MDFT). MDFT is an integrated and comprehensive, family
centered treatment for youth experiencing problems and disorders. According to Multi Dimensional
Family Therapy, it prevents out of home placement; and focuses on key areas of the adolescent s
life by providing effective and cost efficient treatment (An Evidence Based Intervention.) . The
model targets a range of youth behavior problems that consist of substance abuse, delinquency,
antisocial and aggressive behaviors, school and family problems, and emotional difficulties. Its
overall goal is to eliminate substance abuse, crime, delinquency, and to improve mental health,
school, and family functioning. It aims to improve the adolescent s coping, problem solving, and
decision making skills, and enhance family functioning, which is a critical ingredient in positive
youth development (An Evidence Based Intervention.) . This model was chosen during therapy
because it has many factors that will contribute to the anticipated improvements in Lisa and Ms.
Bowler.
Strengths and Weaknesses of the Model:
One strength of MDFT is that it is proven effective. According to Multi Dimensional Family
