Read Wordsworth s and Shelley s poems To a Skylark and Hughes poem
Skylarks. Discuss the similarities and differences in the poets presentation of, and attitude to, the
birds.
There are a number of similarities and differences in Wordsworth s,
Shelley s and Hughes presentation of, and attitude to the birds through form, diction and imagery.
The first line in Wordsworth s poem is about an Ethereal minstrel! and a pilgrim of the sky! . This tells
of a medieval singer who roams with a purpose. Wordsworth uses these to apostrophise the lark. When
these lines are combined with others throughout the poem it becomes apparent that the lark is used as
a metaphoric visual aid. This is shown with the apparent dichotomy between ... Show more content on

The words flood and
pour in the poem normally are associated with water, thus showing how the lark s music flows and
how much of it there is.
Wordsworth s poem is therefore presented as an apostrophe to a skylark that is quite rhythmic due to it
being largely iambic pentameter. It is also written in a very traditional form with a strict rhythm and
rhyme structure that suggests that it is pre 20th century. This is confirmed by the moral, philosophical
view of lark, as it is shown to be a metaphor and moral for human life.
As well as sharing the same title ( To a Skylark ), Percy Bysshe
Shelley s poem also shares a similar way of presenting the lark.
Composed five years before Wordsworth s poem, this poem is also written in a very traditional form
with much archaic diction. It has a maintained stanza form throughout and is as, if not more, archaic
shown by quotations such as, hail to thee and thou . In the second stanza, although there is no
reference to a bird, the language used suggests an immense scale similar to that used in Wordsworth s
presentation of the lark s flood of harmony or song. Quotations such as, Higher still and higher and
springest , show this similarity.
Similar to Wordsworth s poem, Shelley begins with exclamation with,
Hail to thee, blithe spirit! . Again although much more subtle and

The Characters Of Moses In The Old Testament
The Old Testament in the bible is a very outstanding it has different amounts of books that
compromise the Old Testament differences between Christian Churches as well as the names
throughout the bible. It has 39 marvelous books in the bible, that tell different stories about important
people and how they change the world that we live in today. If I had to pick on a character I would
have to pick Moses. Moses, he is a character in the Old Testament and a prophet that was picked to
lead Israel out of Egyptian slavery, and delivered the Ten Commandments. Moses was born 1400 BC
in New Kingdom of Egypt, he is the son of Amram and Yochebed, and had siblings named Miriam
and Aaron. Moses had a lot of strengths in the Old Testament he guided people to battle against Egypt,
he defended slaves, and fought the men who harmed the women. His weakness would have to be he
was a very weak speaker and struggles with anger weakness. In Exodus 2:11 says One day, after
Moses had grown up, he went out to where his own people were and watched them at their hard labor.
He saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, one of his own people. In Hebrews 11:24 says, By faith Moses
when he was grown up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh s daughter. However, the forty years of
Moses s life he had a mother figured that was a princess for the Egyptians. She took Moses in and
made him realize that he was becoming a man, she had very emotional problems for being his birth
mother. Later on, he started to

Reflective Essay On Management Skills
As a college student, I was unware of the steps I ve taken that could hinder or improve the growths of
my management skills. The new insights gained from these assignments conducted have enlightened
my understanding of myself by overseeing my management skills ability through I ve made that place
me in varieties of scenarios. The assignments have not only enlightened me, but it has provided me the
advantage of being well informed of my strengths and weaknesses. Although many of the assessments
have concluded the result that I ve expected to obtain, there were three specific exercises that have
shockingly raised my level of conscious about myself that I wasn t aware of before or that I highly

Why Positive Intelligence Can Help An Hr Professional...
Introduction The power of positive thinking has been lauded for its ability to bring light and good
feelings to bad situations since the beginning of man. Everyone who was able to harness the power of
positive thought was able to bring new and innovative inventions to mankind because they didn t
allow failures and negative experiences shape the way they viewed the toils of their work. In other
words, people were able to see the glass as half full rather than half empty which brought about
positive outcomes because they were able to see through all the negative aspects of their work or life.
This brief discussion will talk about just that, the power of positive intelligence. I ll begin by defining
positive intelligence and talking ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Importance of Possessing a Positive Intelligence As we ve seen from the definition of positive
intelligence, it seems as though the importance of mastering the concepts are self evident. We all want
to perform at our best in whatever task we take on providing the greatest possible product or resource
for our employer. We ve all worked with someone who has constantly portrayed a negative attitude
and it never contributed to a highly effective workplace. John Maxwell is a motivational speaker and
leadership expert has made a living off of getting people to think more positively through their daily
tasks to produce high level results. In his Daily Reader book he provides an example of what positive
thought and positive expectations can provide a person. He says that if a person gives themselves just
30 days of expecting the best of everything they will often receive the positive outcomes they
perceive. He says a person will get out of their life everything they expect from it, god or bad
(Maxwell, 2007). The power of positive intelligence can be profound on a personal and professional
level and its importance should not be discredited.
Becoming More Productive Through Positive Intelligence An HR manager can have a tremendous
impact on the productivity of an organization. One of the ways they can influence an organization is
by properly managing the change process and

Roswell Persuasive Speech
Three of my friends were dead! A fourth seriously injured, in surgery. Had they died because we left?
Would I have been able to fight off the assailants and save my friends, had we stayed, or would they
have simply killed me first, before I had a chance to engage them? A warrior and capable fighter I may
be, even though I m unarmed. I trained with a variety of weapons, but never firearms. Speed, strength
and fighting skills are limited against a firearm. Guns are sometimes called equalizers for a reason. If
we had stayed, would we have merely died too? I wish to believe my abilities might have made the
difference, yet am I kidding myself? Was the fierce attack intended to take me out, and I only escaped
by sheer dumb luck? Or did the villains instead target the fur girls? As near as I could imagine, an

The Impact Of Modern Technology
We are living in an era where technology is evolving at an exponential rate. Not long ago, when in
need of driving directions, we pulled out a large folded street map from our vehicle s glove
compartment. Nowadays, we tap a few times on our smartphone or just ask Siri for directions. Better
yet, rather than visiting the local discount mart to replace our laundry detergent, we tell Alexa to
reorder it and have it shipped directly to our door. Throughout the day, we use technology to routinely
accomplish specific tasks or obtain information.
Even the simplest human actions performed for centuries, such as reading, have been made easier with
technology. It s quite possible you are reading this very essay on a piece of light emitting technology,
rather than on paper printed with ink. Modern Technology has unbelievably improved human
capabilities beyond what we ever imagined 20 or 30 years ago. It is very apparent that Technology has
made human life better, by improving communications with each other, and healthier by improving
the diagnosis and treatment of illness.
Today, modern cellular and satellite communication networks continually broadcast voice and data
around the globe in milliseconds to our little handheld devices and computers. This data includes
everything from our favorite TV show to billions of dollars in electronic trades on the financial stock
markets. All these modern communication technology tools have simplified the way humans and
businesses communicate

Comparing the Great Gatsby and American Beauty
Set in the summer of the Roaring Twenties, The Great Gatsby follows the hedonistic and destructive
lifestyles of the upper social classes of post war America. This novel, written by F Scott Fitzgerald in
the same time period, criticizes the shallowness of the actions of this outlandish generation and their
eventual disillusionment with their society. American Beauty, the 1999 film directed by Sam Mendes

The colossal dream that Gatsby builds up and holds onto eventually becomes his downfall and is the
most prominent illustration of the failure of the American Dream in The Great Gatsby.
Although it is the repercussions of their deceptive fantasies that Gatsby and Lester fall victim to, it
was their continued search for love that leads them to these. Love is the principal value in The Great
Gatsby and is illustrated best by the contrast of Gatsby s idealized romantic love for Daisy with Daisy
s love for wealth and status, a love which is common to the majority of their irresponsible society. F
Scott Fitzgerald emphasizes Gatsby s romantic readiness through this contrast as well as Gatsby s fall
from grace that results in him becoming lost in the colossal vitality of his illusions (pg. 92). Daisy
characterizes the power of a love of money in the Great Gatsby and is used by Fitzgerald in
condemning Gatsby s hedonistic society as well as his own. However it is the absence of love rather

Although there are many terrorist activities brought to the public s attention daily, most people only
have awareness of a few prominent terrorist groups. Terrorist organizations such as Hezbollah have
made a significant impact in parts of the world, yet few people have heard of them. Throughout this
paper, characteristics of Hezbollah will be examined such as, formation, leaders, purpose, influences,
financial support, associations and their impact to the world. Finally, this paper will present a current
view of the Shiite terrorist organization Hezbollah. Hezbollah, a radical Shi a Muslim group located in

Islamic government across the Arab world as well as the group does not acknowledge the authority of
the State of Israel. There are many names that Hezbollah has been referred to such as Party of God,

organization Hezbollah was founded as part of the Iranian s government and led by religious clerics.
Although it was founded then, Hezbollah s foundation was formed around June 4th, 1967 which was

The Bravo Battery 1 14th FA had moved from FSB Mary Ann to LZ Mildred prior to the attack. The
commander Captain Conatser was responsible for the counter mortar program and had not adjusted his
defensive targets since the move. He had not visualized the possible locations for an enemy mortar
attack in relation to his howitzers locations. If he had thought of the possible enemy mortar firing
locations prior to the attack, they could have been more effective with their counter fires. He failed to

Effects of missing a doctors appointment
Effects of missing a Doctors appointment
No shows are a problem for both doctors and patients.
When a patient misses a doctor/nurse appointment, a follow up or specialist appointment they are not
receiving the care recommended by their doctor/nurse. This could result in the patient becoming more
ill and requiring additional time off work, laying an extra burden on colleagues and bosses, there is
also the risk of infecting others thus carrying additional burdens as more staff may require time of
work or extra appointments. All of this holds a risk of missing deadlines, looking unprofessional and
potentially disrupting the training of personnel on unit.
Missing an appointment can also mean missing vital treatment, diagnosis or ... Show more content on

As the population ever increases doctors are being over stretched more than ever meaning every
appointment slot is valuable, GP s are then forced to discharged patients that repeatedly offend for
missing appointments which leads to complaints, thus creating more work for the surgery staff and
doctors! Then when the said patient applies to re register at the surgery or applies to register at a
different surgery more man hours are consumed.
On researching and writing about this subject it has become apparent that for the sake of one missed
appointment the effects are detrimental to a lot of factors and services. I do feel that within the NHS a
system should be in place to remind patients of an appointment like a txting service as it would be a
lot more cost effective than a missed appointment, however in the military this is very unlikely to
happen because of restrictions and budgets. A missed appointment in the military is down to bad
administration, deploying last minute, compassionate leave or work/training commitments, all I feel
are sufficient excuses with the exception of bad administration this is a personal issue that you as an
individual should take steps to prevent, by the use of a diary, setting an alarm on your phone or
computer or simply writing it on a board/piece of paper that you will see.

Constitutional Conflict of the Dealth Penalty Essay
Constitutional Conflict of the Dealth Penalty The courts positions of the death penalty has changed
over the years. For centuries societies have used death as the ultimate penalty for crime. In the 1960 s,
the court ruled against the death penalty as a cruel and unusual punishment , which was forbidden by
the eighth amendment of the Constitution. By the 1990 s the death penalty was again in wide use
supported by the court and Congress, which continually expanded by legislation the crimes for which
death would be an acceptable penalty. Supreme Court cases that have felt the death penalty was
unconstitutional include Roberts vs. Louisiana and Furman vs. Georgia. Roberts vs. Louisiana, (1976)

These circumstances included air craft highjacking; treason; murder for hire; murder of a judicial
officer, policeman, or fireman in line of duty; and murder by a person with a previous record of
violent crime. This decision made it clear that the justices did not consider the death penalty per say to
be cruel and unusual punishment in the sense intended by the constitution. (Davis, 196 197). The
justices reaffirmed what an unbiased historical and legal analysis would reveal every time that our
forefathers were not against Capitol Punishment but against the misapplication of punishment
bringing about injustice. Philosophically speaking there is a strange twist in logic to call Capitol
Punishment inhuman or cruel. The inhumanity and cruelty was the crime that called for capitol
consequences. The inhuman act was performed by the criminal in murder not on the criminal through
capitol punishment. It can be argued that if one were to mandate a life sentence for a murderer that it
is cruel and inhumane to expose inmates, guards and counselors to a volatile criminal. In fact there are
many cases of murderers killing innocent victims while incarcerated. Was it cruel and inhumane to
sustain the life of such a criminal so that he was given further opportunity to carry out his evil ways?

Jimi Hendrix Sound Analysis
Jimi Hendrix s melody isn t exactly the easiest to remember simply because it s very jumpy in the
sense it doesn t focus on one piece, it keeps changing the beat but that s just my opinion. Fire is an
activity in soul, hallucinogenic shake, and jazz enlivened drumming. One of the champions on the
introduction collection, the melody and recording displayed the really crude vitality that the band was
prepared to do. Set in an up beat soul base, the tune s bass and guitar riffs are compelling and played
dangerously fast. Melodiously, the tune is based around Jimi Hendrix s awesome style, and the sexual
risk in the tune radiates through noisy and clear. A few live forms are in presence, yet the March 1968
form on The Jimi Hendrix Experience box set is decidedly crushing. This harmony is dissonant. ...

If it were more of a happy song (upbeat) then I would not feel the same about how I feel about this

to almost enough inside instructional parameters, and I trust that is on the grounds that it can be harder
to rehearse mood guitar than it is to work on soloing strategies. All guitar players love to play and

issue totally. For me, the investigation and energy about the specialty of musicality guitar were

Jack Kerouac s On The Road
On the Road by Jack Kerouac explores the core ideologies of the Beat Generation, dealing with non
conformity in a post World War II America. The Beats were, in essence, twentieth century
transcendentalists believing in the power of the individual to clamor against the chains of society.
They defied social constructs in all aspects of life, including sexuality, drugs, politics, and ways of
thought. On the Road encapsulates the Beat way of life in the tale of Sal Paradise s search for answers
across the country, with his friend Dean Moriarty. Kerouac s depiction of sexuality and drugs, along
with his unconventional style of writing, illustrate the core beliefs of the Beat generation. Kerouac s

Kerouac can comfortably and effortlessly detail Dean s unorthodox sexuality, transitioning from the
rigid beliefs of the Lost generation to the liberating and free ideologies of the Beat generation. Dean s
nonconformist attitudes demonstrate the Beat ideals of individuality and rebelling against the social
norm for one s own good. As Don Akers writes, the Beat generation were those who as a result of
disillusionment stemming from the Cold War, espouse mystical detachment and relaxation of social
and sexual tensions, (Akers 7). The Beats were people who rebelled against the previous generation
and believed in freedom from societal rules. Kerouac precipitates this ideology through his portrayal
of Dean s sexuality. Another aspect of Beat life that is detailed in On the Road is drug use.
Generations before the Beats regarded alcohol and drugs as taboo items, as evidenced in the
prohibition of alcohol under the eighteenth amendment. But, Kerouac presents an idolatry of drugs
and alcohol that is characteristic of the Beat generation in On the Road. In the novel, Sal idolizes Dean
frequently. He believes that Dean s spontaneity and wildness are the most desirable traits to have.
Thus, in order to become wild and spontaneous like a sober Dean, Sal resorts to drugs. Sal uses drugs
and alcohol as a way to briefly attain what Dean lives through all the time. Furthermore, the Beat
attitude of reverence towards drugs is also shown in Kerouac s characterization of Old Bull

The Theory of Absolutism Essay
The Theory of Absolutism Absolute monarchy or absolutism meant that the sovereign power or
ultimate authority in the state rested in the hands of a king who claimed to rule by divine right. But
what did sovereignty mean? Late sixteenth century political theorists believed that sovereign power
consisted of the authority to make laws, tax, administer justice, control the state s administrative
system, and determine foreign policy. These powers made a ruler sovereign. One of the chief theorists
of divine right monarchy in the seventeenth century was the French theologian and court preacher

You [secretaries and ministers of state] will assist me with your counsels when I ask for them. I

not even a passport . . . without my command; to render account to me personally each day and to

Louis proved willing to pay the price of being a strong ruler . He established a consci entious routine

Consequently, Louis and his court came to set the standard for monar chies and aristocracies all over

The character of Jin Wang in American Born Chinese by Gene Luen Yan changes throughout the story
according to the different conflicts he encounters. Jin Wang s troubles first start when transferring to a
new school in a new town, where he is the only ethnic minority in his class. Being outcasted by his
classmates he begins his journey in dealing with his own differences. Through internal and external
conflict, Jin Wang realizes his true self. The majority of conflict Jin Wang experiences is internal
conflict. From the beginning his ethnicity sets him apart from the others, but his own negativity
towards his different race pushes him to dislike being different from others. Jin Wang craves to be just
like everybody else instead of embracing who he is. This is exemplified in the story when he tries
changing his hairstyle to look like one of his classmates to win over his crush (page 98). Jin Wang s
own insecurity become ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
An example of this is when Wei Chen tells Jin Wang to volunteer after school with Amelia, his crush,
but Jin Wang is too scared to take this leap and Wei Chen ends up volunteering in his stead (page 92).
Because of this instance, later on Jin Wang is met with the perfect chance of finally asking Amelia out
and she agrees. Jin Wang s date doesn t going exactly as planned, even getting soap on his date
because of bad advice he received from his older cousin, but in the end it wasn t as hopeless as he kept
imagining. Conflict ensues when the next day he is asked by a fellow friend of Amelia, named Greg,
that Jin Wang stays away from Amelia. Greg claims that Jin Wang is not right for her and even calls
him a geek in front of Amelia when Jin Wang walks past her (page 181 184). Jin Wang becomes so
frustrated with not being able to be with Amelia and even picks a fight with Wei Chen. The next
morning he finds that he is now completely caucasian and starts calling himself

Payton s Babe Ruth
Is it a bird... is it a plane... it s a baseball! The game of baseball was invented by a person by the name
of Abner Doubleday in 1839. Since then, baseball has become competitive, exciting and full of
memorable moments. Baseball is one of America s most popular sports. It takes skilled players to
make the game entertaining and fun. Some skilled players include: Jackie Robinson, Ty Cobb, Willie
Mays, Lou Gehrig and Stan Musial. But none of these players are as good as Babe Ruth. George
Herman Ruth was born on February 6, 1895 in a small house in Baltimore, Maryland. George grew up
a bum, living on the streets of the Baltimore waterfront. George was a disrespectful kid that always
ran away from school. He also smoked and played pranks on people. One day, a man named Brother
Matthias saw George s energy and wanted to harness that energy for baseball. Matthias could hit a
baseball over the fence, using just one arm. This inspired George to play baseball. One day in a
baseball game, George was up to bat facing an inexperienced pitcher. George started laughing and
making fun of him. Matthias stopped George and told him, If you think that you can do better, let s see
you go out there and pitch. The next inning, George went up to the mound and pitched. He had no clue
how to pitch but he threw harder than anyone in the league. A minor league team s coach saw him
play, and asked the young 19 year old to sign a contract with his team! This would be the start of
something great!

Apush Essay -- in What Ways and to What Extent Was...
In the early 1800s, America changed in a lot of ways in a short amount of time. The change that
occurred was, for the most part, the result of the industrial development. The industrial advancements
in the early 1800s had a huge amount of consequences, both positive and negative. But the industrial
development from 1800 to 1860 affected the North and the South in hugely different ways. The
prominent differences eventually caused an amazing amount of tension between the two regions as
they moved in completely separate directions. Mainly, the North and the South differentiated when it
came to cultures, economies, and political views. With the dawn of the 19th century, there were three
revolutions that completely altered the United States. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Though the majority of Southerners didn t own slaves, slaves were used in the South to keep the
revenue up, and slavery was very much a part of the agricultural lifestyle. Political tension between
the North and the South started early when there was disagreement over Henry Clay s American
System. The American System imposed tariffs to support northern manufacturing, federally funded
roads and canals, and supported the National Bank. Northerners were in support of the American
System but the South wasn t on board with the plan. This protective tariff was a tax on imports, and
since the South was receiving most of the imported goods, they got the brunt of the tariff. The South
believed it was unfair that it was putting money into the North s industrial economy when the South
was barely making enough revenue to support itself. While the South provided the Northern industries
with most of the raw materials they needed, the price the North paid for these things were nothing
compared to what the South had to pay for the manufactured goods the North produced. The
opposition to the American System was so strong that South Carolina declared the tariffs void and
threatened to leave the Union. But Andrew Jackson worked with South Carolina and the Union
remained whole. This was the Nullification Crisis of 1832. The two regions clashed politically too.
While the North became generally

Formulation of ICPNP Using Electrostatic Interaction in...
The present study showed formulation of ICPNP using electrostatic interaction in between SA, a
negatively charged polymer and GCS, a positively charged copolymer 4. This ICPNP has ability to
self assemble in aqueous phase due to hydrophilic and hydrophobic parts present in GCS copolymer 4.
The zeta potential of nanoparticle was negative that represents SA present in outer surface of
polymeric nanoparticle. This nanoparticle composed of SA and GCS copolymer has four distinct
function: i) SA on outer surface provides stability to formulation and sustained release of drug; ii) the
GCS part of ICPNP restricts conversion of AmB molecular forms from monomeric to multimeric thus
reduces toxicity of the AmB; iii) the ICPNP provides desired localization and biodistribution of AmB
in tissues; iv) the SA in outer surface of ICPNP have ability to induce various proinflamatory
cytokines and chemokines through macrophage activation via NF kappaB pathway (Saswat, et
al.2104).
The self assembled ICPNP gained significant attention from various researchers as particulate drug
delivery system for its ability to encapsulate high drug payload and deliver at target sites 21. There are
many reports about PIC nanoparticles but in this study we have prepared self assembled copolymer
based ICPNP. The GC was first conjugate with stearic acid in molar ratio of 4:1 to form GCS
copolymer 4 that has positive zeta potential measured by zeta sizer on its surface that was referred as
cationic polymer. The

The Era Of Madness And Confinement
The Era of Madness and Confinement The 1950s was an era of civil conflict for the United States.
Although it the post World War II era and the United States was the world s strongest military, there
was a war going on within its own society. (Ginsberg, 1) This generation dealt with civil rights
movements and communism at the home. ( The 1950s ) But with all the pressure of all that is going on
around this how did this generation turn out? It was during this time that author Allen Ginsberg wrote
his poem Howl, which was broken up into three parts. In his poem Howl, Allen Ginsberg uses an
outlandish writing style in order to demonstrate the madness and imprisonment felt by his generation.
The first line of the poem sets the theme ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It was during the late 1940s and early 1950s that the Red Scare was known because of the communist
in the United States. ( Red Scare ) Part one further refers to the madness of the people and actions that
give off the impression that they have been driven mad. The poem as a whole is written in a way that
strays from the norm. The lack of commas in certain lines gives off a tone of hysteria because the lack
of a pause in between details. For example the line, ...destroyed by madness, starving hysterical
naked... (Ginsberg, 1) The words starving hysterical naked would be said in a fast pace that would
make the tone seem non stop or hyper. Ginsberg also decides to save the period for the very last line,
which would indicate that part one, is an extensive sentence. By doing so it also gives off a hysterical
tone because he does not stop but simply takes short pauses in between each line. It gives off the
impression that Ginsberg is so passionate in what he is talking about that he does not need to stop until
he has said his whole piece. Part one also uses obscene language, which includes words such as sex,
f**king, semen, and a*s which further indicates the bluntness of the situation. Ginsberg uses a

Richard Adams Watership Down Analysis
The care of human life and happiness, and not their destruction, is the first and only object of good
government Thomas Jefferson. In Richard Adams Watership Down, the rabbits in the story all live in
groups on separate areas of land. These areas are called warrens, and there are three main warrens that
will be discussed in this essay. Each of the three warrens have a different type of governments being
run inside of them. The Sandleford Warren, the Efrafa Warren and the Watership Down Warren are all
ran differently. Each warren has modern world equivalences relating to their governments. In the
following paragraphs you will be able to see which modern world government matches up, and is
present in each of the three warrens in Watership Down.
The first warren is the Sandleford Warren, this warren is a communistic government. It is a communist
government because all rabbits live under the order of the chief rabbit Threarah.. All the rabbits know
to respect the chief rabbit especially if you are in a lower class like the rabbit Hazel. I m awfully sorry,
Chief Rabbit Hazel pg12. The chief rabbit and his communist government want to control all the
social classes and money in the area he controls. There are three social classes in the Sandleford
Warren, the Chief Rabbit, the Owsla and the Outskirters. Outskirters that is, the rank and file of
ordinary rabbits in their first year pg4. All these social classes are controlled by the Chief Rabbit. Mao
Zedong started a communist government in China in 1927 and just as Chief Rabbit controlled the
social classes of his warren, Mao Zedong controlled the social classes of the country of China. In a
real life communist government the leader of the government will control the country s money. In the
warrens the rabbit do not have money but the one controllable factor is food. The caste system ran by
the chief rabbit lets you know what you eat and when, determined by class. Cowslips are for the
Owsla* don t you know that? Toadflax pg5. Cowslips are a food for upper class as Toadflax tells an
outskirter. Through class system, control of goods and one single leader you are able to see how the
Sandleford Warren is a communist government. Efrafa is the second Warren and

What Is Ancient Aztec Civilization
Sophia Keshishian
Origins in Ancient Civilizations
Bailey, 5 550

The Most Interesting
The Aztec civilization was the most interesting thing that I learned about in this class. The Aztecs
evolved from a poor semi nomadic group to the rulers of the most powerful empire ever developed in
ancient Mesoamerica (pg 322). I have always thought how advanced and functional their society was
is incredible. Societies today can learn from their civilizations structure. The capital city, Tenochtitlan,
was founded in the year AD 1325 and had a population that reached up to 300,000 people. The city
was build on a grid pattern with a network of canals and bridges. The city was broke up into four
districts each with its own ceremonial center and market. Within the districts there were around twenty
calpulli and each had its own plaza, temple, and market. The sacred precinct was at ... Show more

The first class consisted of the nobles, the leading priests, and the emperor. The second class consisted
of the ordinary citizens who lived in the calpulli. The third class was made up of the serfs and the
fourth made up of the slaves. Back then there was a division of power and job specialization. This
structure resembles a structure similar to todays. People are elected to be in top positions that are in
charge of people in lower positions. For example back then the emperor was elected to the position,
and now days we elect people into positions like congressman and city council. Then below that that
are business owners, employees, house workers, etc. The ordinary citizens were required to attend
school for agriculture and warfare. I think this is important to note because back then they were being
required to learn what they had to know in order to help society function at the level it was at. Today
students are required to learn up to a standard that is thought to be enough to function and help

The Volumetric Mass Transfer Coefficient
Over the past few decades, there has been a rapid increase in the use of the stirred tank bioreactors.
The volumetric mass transfer coefficient (kLa) is often used to compare the efficiency of the
bioreactors and as an important scale up factor. It characterizes the oxygen mass transfer in stirred
tank bioreactors. In the present work, a mathematical and statistical approach was adopted to study the
effects of the various experimental variables on volumetric mass transfer coefficient in a 1 L stirred
tank bioreactor. Air/water system is used for this investigation. The Box Behnken design (BBD) in
response surface methodology has been employed for the statistical analysis. The input parameters
were impeller agitation rate (50 800 RPM), air ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Gas liquid mass transfer ultimately depends on the diffusional transport of the gas into the liquid
phase, which in turn requires a large interfacial surface area. In order to increase the overall mass
transfer rate between the phases (gas and liquid in our case), it is necessary to increase the liquid film
mass transfer coefficient (kL) and/or interfacial area (a). The mass transfer can be increased by
increasing the interfacial area rather than liquid film mass transfer coefficient by making use of
turbulence in the best possible way. Thus, the knowledge of the volumetric mass transfer coefficient or
the individual parameters, such as liquid film mass transfer coefficient and specific interfacial area, is
of essential importance in designing the gas liquid contacting equipments. Also, gas liquid contactors
design certainly influences the mass transfer rate [4, Veljkovic and Skala, 1988]. Most industrial
microbial processes are aerobic, and are mostly carried out in aqueous medium containing salts and
organic substances; usually these broths are viscous showing non Newtonian behavior. The rate of
oxygen transfer to the cells is one of the limiting factors in the product formation. It is known that
increasing the rate of oxygen transfer to the cells can enhance the rate of product formation. Gas
holdup and volumetric mass transfer coefficient are mostly used to characterize oxygen mass transfer.
Oxygen transfer is strongly influenced by

The Reality Of Television Shows Influences The Politics...
Reality television shows are the usual genre of programs in the 21st century. These programs show the
reality of what happens in real life. They are not like movies or series that are being acted or are done
based on actual stories. The characters shown in these shows are the real people who act. Keeping up
with Kardashians, Love and hip hop, and the Police women of Cincinnati are some of the recent
reality TV shows that are aired on American TV channels. Keeping up with the Kardashians is about
the three sisters Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian. It revolves around their professional and
personal life. Love and hip hop is about various hip hop artists around the United States of America.
Such shows touch on the artists relationships and their careers as an artist. Policewomen of Cincinnati
is about the lifestyle of four female police officers, who are working in the Cincinnati police
department. Different reality TV shows have influenced the society in various ways. The research
essay is about how these kinds of reality TV shows influences the politics and the culture of the
various communities. It also covers how the media changes or maintains the society, with what they
show on the social sites. Finally, yet importantly, the essay describes how the shows reinforce the
current class structure, how they affect racial stereotypes, and gender biases (Murray Ouellette, 2009).

Tarrega The Black Death Analysis
In the text The Black Death and its Consequences for the Jewish Community in Tarrega, the authors
note that the discovery of communal burial sites in Tarrega (ca. 2007) now provides archeological
evidence for the documentary records of the mass murder of Jews in July, 1348. Long before the
discovery of the six communal grave sites, testimonies such as that of Hayyim Galipapa (1310 1380)
have provided textual records for the mass killing of Jews during the spread of the plague. The authors
argue that a consequence of the plague epidemic was the increase attacks on social minorities, Jews in
particular stood out as a powerful minority group which many of these attacks focused around. As
such, the Jewish community suffered disproportionately

designed to work together, so customers could creatively vary their look from day to day. They were
designed to make getting dressed easy, and to be versatile enough to be worn to work and out for the
evening. Fisher was adamant about designing clothes for real women and developed forgiving
silhouettes that flattered women regardless of their body type. The fluid clothes were designed to take

The website was also another platform that was updated. They included more videos to bring the webs
advertising, Eileen Fisher previously focused on the person that would wear the brand and how they
would wear the brand s clothes; however now it just shifts that focus to the actual clothes.
How strong is the brand story? What are the core brand associations and meaning narratives
associated with the brand?
The brand story was considered very strong. It is a high end brand that accounts such as
Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, etc. appreciated because it was the best performing brand. It could have
been too strong, before the repositioning, because it shifted certain segments away. People associated
the brand as for older people, well established in their careers as well as a mom/grandmother brand. It
had a very strong brand loyalty associated with it. As the company grew older so did its customers.
Some people did not want to be associated with that, and did not buy the brand; therefore shifting
younger segments away.
How healthy is the brand at the time of the case?
At the time of the case the brand was healthy but it was at a vulnerable point. There had been
economic downfall, so the industry as a whole was suffering but Eileen Fisher was stronger than its
competitors. Economic factors forced customers to go to discount brands and shy away from
department stores, therefore not only was Eileen Fisher losing customers its competitors were as well.

The Pros And Cons Of Mental Disorders
Throughout the centuries mental illness has been treated by countless treatments. Modern treatments
have created an argument over which treatment options are best. the most debates treatments today are
medication and therapy. the argument of medication versus therapy as treatments for mental illness is
fairly new. Yet, proponents of both sides have strong arguments stating the advantages of their
treatment option. proponents of medication believe pharmacogenetics, tailored treatments, and
medication s ability to treat severe disorders makes medication the better treatment option. proponents
of therapy believe drug addiction, suicide prevention, and need adaption establishes therapy as the
better treatment choice.
Many terms and concepts are commonly associated with mental illness. the topic of mental illness has
many overlapping and subset definitions. Mental illness, a term that encompasses a wide range of
mental disorders, contains subcategories of mental disorders distinguishable by effects on a person s
behavior, thinking, and mood. Disorders are the most commonly referred to an aspect of mental
illness; types of disorders are schizophrenia, anxiety, and depression. Syndromes, even more, specific
than disorders, pertain to particular systems within subcategories of disorders and are identifiable by
distinct symptoms, mental or physical markers expressed by a disease; examples of syndromes are an
obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and post traumatic stress disorder

Rna World Theory, A Possible Theory For Life Origin. I
RNA world theory, a possible theory for life origin
I think the RNA world theory, combined with other process, including clay chemistry and deep sea
vents activities, is an extremely possible theory for origin of life. With addition of icy chemistry, the
RNA world theory may also help us to find life outside Earth. The RNA world theory is widely
accepted by origin of life theorist (Ricardo and Szostak 2009)
The RNA world theory was initially proposed 1967 for origin of life. It includes the following steps:
First, there are many nucleotides on Earth. Second, there is a chemical process to synthesize single
strand RNAs. Next step is to wait until there is an RNA molecule is produced with the right sequence
and folded into the right ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The unique potential of RNA molecules to act both as an information carrier and as catalyst forms the
basis of the RNA world hypothesis. an RNA molecule with an appropriately folded shape can serve as
an enzyme. (Alberts B,2002). The ability of RNAs as enzyme make a powerful assertion for the RNA
world theory. The demonstration that ribosomal peptide synthesis is a ribozyme catalyzed reaction
makes it almost certain that there was once an RNA World (Orgel Leslie E. 2004). Additionally, I
found out that RNA as the enzyme is not only synthesized in cells, but also in labs, so the natural
RNAs will ability as catalysis may not be impossible. Researchers directed the evolution of RNAs that
could catalyze monomer synthesis, from the production of ribose to the attachment of the sugar to
nucleobases. Others bred RNA enzymes, or ribozymes, that could conduct the steps of translation,
phosphorylate other polymers, join molecules together, or break them apart. (Jef Askt, 2014)
There are some suspicions on the RNAs ability to pass the catalysis properties to their offspring. There
is no way to encode the bond type between nucleotides. In other words, the RNA s offspring will not
be identical to the parent, and therefore the offspring will not have the replication ability (Anne P)
However, I think RNA replication is a reliable process since the shape is determined by nucleotide

  • 2. Read Wordsworth’s and Shelley’s poems To a Skylark and... Read Wordsworth s and Shelley s poems To a Skylark and Hughes poem Skylarks. Discuss the similarities and differences in the poets presentation of, and attitude to, the birds. There are a number of similarities and differences in Wordsworth s, Shelley s and Hughes presentation of, and attitude to the birds through form, diction and imagery. The first line in Wordsworth s poem is about an Ethereal minstrel! and a pilgrim of the sky! . This tells of a medieval singer who roams with a purpose. Wordsworth uses these to apostrophise the lark. When these lines are combined with others throughout the poem it becomes apparent that the lark is used as a metaphoric visual aid. This is shown with the apparent dichotomy between ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The words flood and pour in the poem normally are associated with water, thus showing how the lark s music flows and how much of it there is. Wordsworth s poem is therefore presented as an apostrophe to a skylark that is quite rhythmic due to it being largely iambic pentameter. It is also written in a very traditional form with a strict rhythm and rhyme structure that suggests that it is pre 20th century. This is confirmed by the moral, philosophical view of lark, as it is shown to be a metaphor and moral for human life. As well as sharing the same title ( To a Skylark ), Percy Bysshe Shelley s poem also shares a similar way of presenting the lark. Composed five years before Wordsworth s poem, this poem is also written in a very traditional form with much archaic diction. It has a maintained stanza form throughout and is as, if not more, archaic shown by quotations such as, hail to thee and thou . In the second stanza, although there is no reference to a bird, the language used suggests an immense scale similar to that used in Wordsworth s presentation of the lark s flood of harmony or song. Quotations such as, Higher still and higher and springest , show this similarity. Similar to Wordsworth s poem, Shelley begins with exclamation with, Hail to thee, blithe spirit! . Again although much more subtle and less ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. The Characters Of Moses In The Old Testament The Old Testament in the bible is a very outstanding it has different amounts of books that compromise the Old Testament differences between Christian Churches as well as the names throughout the bible. It has 39 marvelous books in the bible, that tell different stories about important people and how they change the world that we live in today. If I had to pick on a character I would have to pick Moses. Moses, he is a character in the Old Testament and a prophet that was picked to lead Israel out of Egyptian slavery, and delivered the Ten Commandments. Moses was born 1400 BC in New Kingdom of Egypt, he is the son of Amram and Yochebed, and had siblings named Miriam and Aaron. Moses had a lot of strengths in the Old Testament he guided people to battle against Egypt, he defended slaves, and fought the men who harmed the women. His weakness would have to be he was a very weak speaker and struggles with anger weakness. In Exodus 2:11 says One day, after Moses had grown up, he went out to where his own people were and watched them at their hard labor. He saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, one of his own people. In Hebrews 11:24 says, By faith Moses when he was grown up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh s daughter. However, the forty years of Moses s life he had a mother figured that was a princess for the Egyptians. Introduction The power of positive thinking has been lauded for its ability to bring light and good feelings to bad situations since the beginning of man. Everyone who was able to harness the power of positive thought was able to bring new and innovative inventions to mankind because they didn t allow failures and negative experiences shape the way they viewed the toils of their work. In other words, people were able to see the glass as half full rather than half empty which brought about positive outcomes because they were able to see through all the negative aspects of their work or life. This brief discussion will talk about just that, the power of positive intelligence. I ll begin by defining positive intelligence and talking ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Importance of Possessing a Positive Intelligence As we ve seen from the definition of positive intelligence, it seems as though the importance of mastering the concepts are self evident. We all want to perform at our best in whatever task we take on providing the greatest possible product or resource for our employer. We ve all worked with someone who has constantly portrayed a negative attitude and it never contributed to a highly effective workplace. John Maxwell is a motivational speaker and leadership expert has made a living off of getting people to think more positively through their daily tasks to produce high level results. In his Daily Reader book he provides an example of what positive thought and positive expectations can provide a person. He says that if a person gives themselves just 30 days of expecting the best of everything they will often receive the positive outcomes they perceive. He says a person will get out of their life everything they expect from it, god or bad (Maxwell, 2007). The power of positive intelligence can be profound on a personal and professional level and its importance should not be discredited. Becoming More Productive Through Positive Intelligence An HR manager can have a tremendous impact on the productivity of an organization. • 6. Roswell Persuasive Speech Three of my friends were dead! A fourth seriously injured, in surgery. Had they died because we left? Would I have been able to fight off the assailants and save my friends, had we stayed, or would they have simply killed me first, before I had a chance to engage them? A warrior and capable fighter I may be, even though I m unarmed. I trained with a variety of weapons, but never firearms. Speed, strength and fighting skills are limited against a firearm. Guns are sometimes called equalizers for a reason. If we had stayed, would we have merely died too? I wish to believe my abilities might have made the difference, yet am I kidding myself? Was the fierce attack intended to take me out, and I only escaped by sheer dumb luck? Or did the villains instead target the fur girls? As near as I could imagine, an unknown ... • 7. The Impact Of Modern Technology We are living in an era where technology is evolving at an exponential rate. Not long ago, when in need of driving directions, we pulled out a large folded street map from our vehicle s glove compartment. Nowadays, we tap a few times on our smartphone or just ask Siri for directions. Better yet, rather than visiting the local discount mart to replace our laundry detergent, we tell Alexa to reorder it and have it shipped directly to our door. Throughout the day, we use technology to routinely accomplish specific tasks or obtain information. Even the simplest human actions performed for centuries, such as reading, have been made easier with technology. It s quite possible you are reading this very essay on a piece of light emitting technology, rather than on paper printed with ink. Modern Technology has unbelievably improved human capabilities beyond what we ever imagined 20 or 30 years ago. It is very apparent that Technology has made human life better, by improving communications with each other, and healthier by improving the diagnosis and treatment of illness. Today, modern cellular and satellite communication networks continually broadcast voice and data around the globe in milliseconds to our little handheld devices and computers. This data includes everything from our favorite TV show to billions of dollars in electronic trades on the financial stock markets. All these modern communication technology tools have simplified the way humans and businesses communicate ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Comparing the Great Gatsby and American Beauty Set in the summer of the Roaring Twenties, The Great Gatsby follows the hedonistic and destructive lifestyles of the upper social classes of post war America. This novel, written by F Scott Fitzgerald in the same time period, criticizes the shallowness of the actions of this outlandish generation and their eventual disillusionment with their society. The colossal dream that Gatsby builds up and holds onto eventually becomes his downfall and is the most prominent illustration of the failure of the American Dream in The Great Gatsby. Although it is the repercussions of their deceptive fantasies that Gatsby and Lester fall victim to, it was their continued search for love that leads them to these. Love is the principal value in The Great Gatsby and is illustrated best by the contrast of Gatsby s idealized romantic love for Daisy with Daisy s love for wealth and status, a love which is common to the majority of their irresponsible society. F Scott Fitzgerald emphasizes Gatsby s romantic readiness through this contrast as well as Gatsby s fall from grace that results in him becoming lost in the colossal vitality of his illusions (pg. 92). Daisy characterizes the power of a love of money in the Great Gatsby and is used by Fitzgerald in condemning Gatsby s hedonistic society as well as his own. The commander Captain Conatser was responsible for the counter mortar program and had not adjusted his defensive targets since the move. He had not visualized the possible locations for an enemy mortar attack in relation to his howitzers locations. When a patient misses a doctor/nurse appointment, a follow up or specialist appointment they are not receiving the care recommended by their doctor/nurse. On researching and writing about this subject it has become apparent that for the sake of one missed appointment the effects are detrimental to a lot of factors and services. I do feel that within the NHS a system should be in place to remind patients of an appointment like a txting service as it would be a lot more cost effective than a missed appointment, however in the military this is very unlikely to happen because of restrictions and budgets. A missed appointment in the military is down to bad administration, deploying last minute, compassionate leave or work/training commitments, all I feel are sufficient excuses with the exception of bad administration this is a personal issue that you as an individual should take steps to prevent, by the use of a diary, setting an alarm on your phone or computer or simply writing it on a board/piece of paper that you will see. For centuries societies have used death as the ultimate penalty for crime. In the 1960 s, the court ruled against the death penalty as a cruel and unusual punishment , which was forbidden by the eighth amendment of the Constitution. By the 1990 s the death penalty was again in wide use supported by the court and Congress, which continually expanded by legislation the crimes for which death would be an acceptable penalty. The justices reaffirmed what an unbiased historical and legal analysis would reveal every time that our forefathers were not against Capitol Punishment but against the misapplication of punishment bringing about injustice. Philosophically speaking there is a strange twist in logic to call Capitol Punishment inhuman or cruel. The inhumanity and cruelty was the crime that called for capitol consequences. The inhuman act was performed by the criminal in murder not on the criminal through capitol punishment. It can be argued that if one were to mandate a life sentence for a murderer that it is cruel and inhumane to expose inmates, guards and counselors to a volatile criminal. Jimi Hendrix Sound Analysis Jimi Hendrix s melody isn t exactly the easiest to remember simply because it s very jumpy in the sense it doesn t focus on one piece, it keeps changing the beat but that s just my opinion. Fire is an activity in soul, hallucinogenic shake, and jazz enlivened drumming. One of the champions on the introduction collection, the melody and recording displayed the really crude vitality that the band was prepared to do. Set in an up beat soul base, the tune s bass and guitar riffs are compelling and played dangerously fast. Melodiously, the tune is based around Jimi Hendrix s awesome style, and the sexual risk in the tune radiates through noisy and clear. As Don Akers writes, the Beat generation were those who as a result of disillusionment stemming from the Cold War, espouse mystical detachment and relaxation of social and sexual tensions, (Akers 7). The Beats were people who rebelled against the previous generation and believed in freedom from societal rules. Kerouac precipitates this ideology through his portrayal of Dean s sexuality. Another aspect of Beat life that is detailed in On the Road is drug use. Generations before the Beats regarded alcohol and drugs as taboo items, as evidenced in the prohibition of alcohol under the eighteenth amendment. But, Kerouac presents an idolatry of drugs and alcohol that is characteristic of the Beat generation in On the Road. In the novel, Sal idolizes Dean frequently. He believes that Dean s spontaneity and wildness are the most desirable traits to have. Thus, in order to become wild and spontaneous like a sober Dean, Sal resorts to drugs. The American System imposed tariffs to support northern manufacturing, federally funded roads and canals, and supported the National Bank. Northerners were in support of the American System but the South wasn t on board with the plan. This protective tariff was a tax on imports, and since the South was receiving most of the imported goods, they got the brunt of the tariff. The South believed it was unfair that it was putting money into the North s industrial economy when the South was barely making enough revenue to support itself. Gas liquid mass transfer ultimately depends on the diffusional transport of the gas into the liquid phase, which in turn requires a large interfacial surface area. In order to increase the overall mass transfer rate between the phases (gas and liquid in our case), it is necessary to increase the liquid film mass transfer coefficient (kL) and/or interfacial area (a). The mass transfer can be increased by increasing the interfacial area rather than liquid film mass transfer coefficient by making use of turbulence in the best possible way. Thus, the knowledge of the volumetric mass transfer coefficient or the individual parameters, such as liquid film mass transfer coefficient and specific interfacial area, is of essential importance in designing the gas liquid contacting equipments. Also, gas liquid contactors design certainly influences the mass transfer rate [4, Veljkovic and Skala, 1988]. • 30. Tarrega The Black Death Analysis In the text The Black Death and its Consequences for the Jewish Community in Tarrega, the authors note that the discovery of communal burial sites in Tarrega (ca. 2007) now provides archeological evidence for the documentary records of the mass murder of Jews in July, 1348. Long before the discovery of the six communal grave sites, testimonies such as that of Hayyim Galipapa (1310 1380) have provided textual records for the mass killing of Jews during the spread of the plague. The authors argue that a consequence of the plague epidemic was the increase attacks on social minorities, Jews in particular stood out as a powerful minority group which many of these attacks focused around. As such, the Jewish community suffered disproportionately ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The pieces in the collection were designed to work together, so customers could creatively vary their look from day to day. They were designed to make getting dressed easy, and to be versatile enough to be worn to work and out for the evening. Fisher was adamant about designing clothes for real women and developed forgiving silhouettes that flattered women regardless of their body type. The fluid clothes were designed to take the personality of the wearer. Stores: The store is to enable a certain feel for shoppers. They included more videos to bring the webs advertising, Eileen Fisher previously focused on the person that would wear the brand and how they would wear the brand s clothes; however now it just shifts that focus to the actual clothes. How strong is the brand story? What are the core brand associations and meaning narratives associated with the brand? The brand story was considered very strong. It is a high end brand that accounts such as Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, etc. appreciated because it was the best performing brand. It could have been too strong, before the repositioning, because it shifted certain segments away. People associated the brand as for older people, well established in their careers as well as a mom/grandmother brand. It had a very strong brand loyalty associated with it. As the company grew older so did its customers. Some people did not want to be associated with that, and did not buy the brand; therefore shifting younger segments away. How healthy is the brand at the time of the case? At the time of the case the brand was healthy but it was at a vulnerable point. There had been economic downfall, so the industry as a whole was suffering but Eileen Fisher was stronger than its competitors. Economic factors forced customers to go to discount brands and shy away from department stores, therefore not only was Eileen Fisher losing customers its competitors were as well. Compared ... • 32. The Pros And Cons Of Mental Disorders Throughout the centuries mental illness has been treated by countless treatments. Modern treatments have created an argument over which treatment options are best. the most debates treatments today are medication and therapy. the argument of medication versus therapy as treatments for mental illness is fairly new. Yet, proponents of both sides have strong arguments stating the advantages of their treatment option. proponents of medication believe pharmacogenetics, tailored treatments, and medication s ability to treat severe disorders makes medication the better treatment option. proponents of therapy believe drug addiction, suicide prevention, and need adaption establishes therapy as the better treatment choice. Many terms and concepts are commonly associated with mental illness. the topic of mental illness has many overlapping and subset definitions. Mental illness, a term that encompasses a wide range of mental disorders, contains subcategories of mental disorders distinguishable by effects on a person s behavior, thinking, and mood. Disorders are the most commonly referred to an aspect of mental illness; types of disorders are schizophrenia, anxiety, and depression. Syndromes, even more, specific than disorders, pertain to particular systems within subcategories of disorders and are identifiable by distinct symptoms, mental or physical markers expressed by a disease; examples of syndromes are an obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and post traumatic stress disorder ... • 34. It Really Is That Simple By Melinda Branson It really is that simple. Melinda Branson s catch phrase signaled the end of her cooking demonstration and a roar of applause shot through the produce section. The makeshift stage presented her as some kind of superstar. Flashing a smile she held her tray of appetizers toward the crowd as if she were proudly showing off the royal baby. Her silly little cooking idea, as her boss called it six months ago, had grown into an expected Saturday feature. It added much needed extra hours to her paycheck. With another medical bill for her twin sister Christina, and Dad still recovering from Mom s unexpected death, she needed all the help she could get to keep the family afloat. Once the door prize had been announced, the crowd disappeared as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Seemed like a lot of fuss over bacon wrapped food. Millie climbed the steps to the presentation table. Her clean up volunteers already done with their magic, she tended to finishing details. Everything ran on schedule and was tidied or brought to the back for washing. Her feet ached from being in heels all morning. Her sister may have good taste in shoes, but next time she would insist on comfort and style when Christina tried talking her into a wardrobe change for the sake of image. Millie removed the navy apron, folded it over her arm and then untangled the headset from the mass of cord clipped to her pant loop. That was quite the turn out. The decidedly male voice came from behind. Millie whipped her head to find the source and caught her thumb in the still tangled mess of wire. Her headset fell to the ground, cracking the back open and spilling batteries from the case. From the apples of her cheeks to the roots of her ponytail, she felt her face warm as she faced the man with the camera. Chasing errant batteries would only add to the awkwardness. She swooped to retrieve the broken headset and let out a small grumble before looking up. The man with the forget me not eyes said, I m sorry, I assumed you heard me clod up the steps. I wasn t exactly quiet. His voice had a slight accent to it, not quite southern but that same polite drawl southern men were known for. I I wasn t paying attention. • 35. Rna World Theory, A Possible Theory For Life Origin. I RNA world theory, a possible theory for life origin I think the RNA world theory, combined with other process, including clay chemistry and deep sea vents activities, is an extremely possible theory for origin of life. With addition of icy chemistry, the RNA world theory may also help us to find life outside Earth. The RNA world theory is widely accepted by origin of life theorist (Ricardo and Szostak 2009) The RNA world theory was initially proposed 1967 for origin of life. It includes the following steps: First, there are many nucleotides on Earth. Second, there is a chemical process to synthesize single strand RNAs. Next step is to wait until there is an RNA molecule is produced with the right sequence and folded into the right ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The unique potential of RNA molecules to act both as an information carrier and as catalyst forms the basis of the RNA world hypothesis. an RNA molecule with an appropriately folded shape can serve as an enzyme. (Alberts B,2002). The ability of RNAs as enzyme make a powerful assertion for the RNA world theory. The demonstration that ribosomal peptide synthesis is a ribozyme catalyzed reaction makes it almost certain that there was once an RNA World (Orgel Leslie E. 2004). Additionally, I found out that RNA as the enzyme is not only synthesized in cells, but also in labs, so the natural RNAs will ability as catalysis may not be impossible. Researchers directed the evolution of RNAs that could catalyze monomer synthesis, from the production of ribose to the attachment of the sugar to nucleobases. Others bred RNA enzymes, or ribozymes, that could conduct the steps of translation, phosphorylate other polymers, join molecules together, or break them apart. (Jef Askt, 2014) There are some suspicions on the RNAs ability to pass the catalysis properties to their offspring. There is no way to encode the bond type between nucleotides. In other words, the RNA s offspring will not be identical to the parent, and therefore the offspring will not have the replication ability (Anne P) However, I think RNA replication is a reliable process since the shape is determined by nucleotide ...
