ants. Some of the Totie ants were good and hardworking but some turned evil just

Let s assume that we have two solutions, a clear and a colored one, whose
concentrations and identities are unknown. If we shine some light of some intensity
towards them; some of this light will go through and some of it will be absorbed.
This is important because based on the amount of light absorbed by the solutions we

students with the Eastern Ontario Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS). The
survey contained questions related to the variables being studied and measured.
Besides the questions related to the issues being studied, the survey also included
questions based on covariates such as demography, consumption of liquor and
nicotine, drug use, and inactive physical activity. The completion of the surveys
was supervised by a school facilitator that was in charge of re reading questions

Despite the differing circumstances of these earlier time periods, the same
unrealistic bodily ideals that society expected of women then still exist today.
Mass media emits mixed signals as to what s hot and what s not with every
advertisement they publicize. On one hand, companies advertise emaciated
supermodels through television, magazine advertisements, and the like, who are
idolized simply because they are skinny, as skinny has developed into one end of
the hot spectrum of modern day America. There is a catch, however. More and
more supermodels, like those who model for Victoria s Secret for example, have
thin bodies, muscle tone, and larger chests. Many women have the tendency to
idolize this figure and believe this is the way they should want to look in order to
be considered sexy. Even the Barbie doll, for example, has unrealistic proportions
that are simply physiologically impossible for any woman to have. These ideals are
far too irrational for any woman to reach. On the other hand, more and more
companies are making claims that larger, plus size women should also be viewed as
beautiful or sexy, in attempts to make those who are larger than normal feel more

The better people master the financial English, the more comprehensive they can
understand the operations of economy. Financial English is a kind of ESP (English
for Special Purpose) which enjoys a style of its own. However, the research on
translation of financial English is till in its starting phase. Although there are abundant
books and works concerning financial English, most of them have been designed to
meet the needs of finance learners. A further exploration is needed to learn more
about the features and translation of financial English. Firstly, the thesis reviews the
current situation of financial English studies and its significance. And then, linguistic
features of financial English are discussed from three facets of lexis, syntax and text.
It includes the use of technical terms, initialism, hot words , common words, complex
sentences, declarative sentences and passive sentences. Furthermore, the financial
English is characterized by formal style, logical style and precise style. Thirdly, the
study on the translation of financial English is involved. It is divided into two parts:
words and phrases sentences. The last part is conclusion which highlights the

significance of this research again.
