Core Concepts Of Euroscepticism
RESULTS
WHAT IS EUROSCEPTICISM?
According to Leconte (2010):
Euroscepticism is a rather recent term. [...] However, some of the core concepts of Eurosceptic
discourse already existed, such as Eurocrat a term which appeared in French dictionaries in the
mid 1960s (during the Gaulle era) and which conveys the idea of a gap between European elites
and the average citizen. (p.3).
Later on, Leconte (2010) mentions that the first link to the word Euroscepticism was mentioned
in a specific context in a British public debate on the European Community in the mid 1980 s. It
indicated to the anti marketeers , who consisted most of the Labour party and an outer edge of the
Conservatives. Then, it got more popular when Margaret Thatcher told her Bruges speech in 1988.
The word became more or a catch all term for any objection or struggle towards the EU. Another
view on this term is that it varies over time, and changes in correspondence with the rate of
successfulness of the EU. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is not an ideology: it does not express a single, stable set of ideas, putting forward a
comprehensive worldview. (p.4)
But, Euroscepticism does not particularly mean being hostile in relation to European Integration.
Nonetheless, in contemporary politics, it has become to be associated with distinctive forms of
resistance to European Integration. (Leconte, 2012, p.5)
The term Euroscepticism is often being used as a term for all criticism on Europe. But, to be clear,
the use of Euroscepticism in this context will only mean the opposition against the EU. (Vollaard,

Hamlet, Shakespeare s Spectacle Essay
Deceit, mystery, murder, and betrayal are all very captivating and together have the makings for a
daytime soap opera. In this case, however, they are a part of the tragedy of Hamlet. The most
regaling aspects of this play, despite the entertaining and compelling qualities just mentioned, are
the revenge and the surprisingly unappealing nature of the main character, Hamlet. Throughout the
play, Hamlet makes stupid choices that will ultimately lead to his own death, and the death of many
around him. Hamlet should not be identified as a courageous hero seeking to avenge his father but
instead as a coward lacking determination.
Hamlet and revenge are almost synonymous. Hamlet and determination are not. As a primary theme
of the play ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He had many opportunities to catch Claudius but did not. One such case is when Claudius went
to repent. While Claudius was praying, Hamlet thought, I, his sole son, do this same villain send
/ to heaven...No! / Up, sword, and know thou a more horrid hent (3.3.77 88). Hamlet did not kill
Claudius, as he didn t want him to go to heaven and decided to procrastinate even further. Hamlet
s weak choices can be compared to that of a train wreck. The choices are unbelievable and
passersby, or in this case readers, just cannot look away. Hamlet sees the wrongdoings
surrounding him and does nothing. As Ronald Knowles says, He believes only too well that
murder and incest are bad and in need of corrective action... but such a resolution is dialectically
reversed from action to words (1056 1057). Hamlet lacks the courage to do what he desires and
deems right. To me, if you don t do what you think is right you are the biggest coward of all.
Does bravery increase with age or is a person less likely to stand for what is right because they
have more at stake? Hamlet, as we can infer from the play, is an adult, and not a valiant one at
that. When Hamlet is speaking to one of the gravediggers you come to find out, he is thirty years
old. For a grown man, and one who is meant to be a king, Hamlet is melodramatic for no reason
and he presents himself as an emotionally unbalanced teenager. Well known author T.S. Eliot also
believes Hamlet acts in excess of what

Inside Rain Man By Dr. Temple Grandin
Inside Rain Man
It is never too late to expand the mind of a person on the autism spectrum. This quote by Dr.
Temple Grandin helps explain to me what autism is all about. According to autismspeaks.org ,
Autism is a condition that is a result of a neurological disorder that has an affect on normal brain
function, affecting development of the person s communication and social interaction skills.
Although we do not have a set cause for autism, we know that it presents itself during the first
three years of a child s life. In the 1988 film Rain Man, we see a man, Raymond Babbit, with
autism. The movie begins with Charlie Babbit learning that his father has passed away and that he
was left with a few rose bushes and a car, while the rest of the 3 million dollars went to Charlie s
brother Raymond. We later find out that Charlie once knew Raymond and he actually gave
Raymond the nickname Rain Man because when he was little he couldn t say Raymond. Charlie
like any other person who felt they were cheated out of their share of family money was very
determined. While spending time with Raymond ,Charlie found that he was exceptionally brilliant
but also has many characteristics that individuals with autism experience. Throughout the film we
see that Raymond has to have structure in his daily life, he often repeats himself, and has trouble
interacting with people and understanding concepts but is extremely proficient in counting and
doing calculations.

Texas Western Miners Case Study
Coach Dan Haskins was the basketball coach of Texas Western University. When he got his
position he wanted to recruit basketball players that could help Texas Western University s
basketball team. As he journeyed to find basketball players, he recruited 7 black players. During
that time period it was not common for black players to play in universities basketball teams,
especially in Texas. The Texas Western Miners consisted of 7 black and 3 white athletes. Coach
Haskins decision to recruit black basketball players affected the team to be harassed and threatened,
the funding boosters threatened to pull funding from the team, and won the championships.
As the basketball season starts for the Texas Western Miners, the team has had many victories. The
more victories they get, they become nearer to the championship. However, as the team travels to
play their games in different towns and states, they meet a numerous amount of haters. Many whites
disagreed that blacks should not be playing on the team. The team gets harassed at games. People
throw things at them as they are entering the basketball court. Some yell harshful things to them. At

love that the Miners are winning but they are unsatisfied that their are black players. The funding

said that the funding boosters were very generous with the funding. By saying this in the interview,
if the funding boosters did pull away the funds for the team, they would not make a good
impression towards the public. Coach Haskins was very smart to say that. If he did not say it the
boosters would have taken away the fundings leaving the team with no money thus the team would
not be able to compete in the basketball

The Book Of Negroes Chapter Summary
It is difficult for ones to keep their identities and feel a sense of belonging when they travel to
another country. The historical fiction The Book of Negroes by Lawrence Hill, a Canadian author,
leads to the further research in the socio political discipline. Many scholars state that slaves or
immigrants lost their identities through different life challenges and diaspora situations. The
scholarly article Currency and Cultural Consumption Lawrence Hill s The Book of Negroes by
Andrea Medovarski, a professor, describes the difficulties Aminata encounters in an economic and
cultural perspective, on the other hand, another scholarly article The Postcolonial Female Bildung

Writing within the socio political discipline and the term Black Diaspora borrowed from my
primary resource The Book of Negroes, I show how do the difficulties and situations shape a person
in the literary fiction. I argue that Aminata Diallo does not fit into both North America and Africa
even she finds and keeps her personal identity. Finding and keeping personal identities is a
profound theme in The Book of Negroes. The scene that Aminata boards the boat, her friend
says: I have taken many men to the sea, but not once have I seen one return to his village (Hill
51). Even though Aminata is only eleven year old by that time, she has a strong sense of
belonging to her motherland, so she tells her friend: I will sleep by day and walk at night. But
listen to me, friend. I will come back. And I will come home (Hill 51). The protagonist realizes
her African identity and her belief supports her and helps her overcome many dilemmas. Oduwobi

The Spanish And Mexican Period
1. The story line I am going to talk about is power and oppression, throughout California s history
there has been many events of power and oppression that has shaped California s history in many
ways. I selected this storyline because I am able to relate many of these events that have happened
throughout history. I will described the Spanish and Mexican period, the Americanization period,
the early 20th century, and the late 20th century to today.
First I will begin with the Spanish and Mexican period 1776 1846, during these period we could
see that there was a lot of power and oppression that started with the Spanish conquest to expand
their colonization. The spanish brought with them christianity trying to convert Native Americans
to become that same religion, the spanish developed a series of presidios, missions, and pueblos
in the lands of Native Americans where they were forced to change their religion, customs, and
culture to become part of the Spanish. Many Native Americans were killed by the Spanish soldiers
when they would decline to change their way of living. The Spanish practice oppression trying to
convert this people into christianity this is an example of the power and oppression the spanish
used during these period of time. After Mexico became independent from the Spanish empire the
Mexican government took control of California and during these period, the Mexican government
put an end to the mission/presidio system. The Mexican government allowed

Because he possesses many tragic characteristics, the audience can classify Jason as the tragic hero
of the play. For example, the misjudgment of his action to leave Medea and abandon his oath of
marriage to her resulted in a devastating sequence of events for Jason. Jason exhibits a role of
nobility, but it is his desire to secure that nobility by marrying King Creon s daughter and
leaving Medea that causes his suffering in the end. He was presented with the decision to stay
with Medea or pursue his want for prestige and power. In addition to the presence of a tragic
hero, Medea reveals tragic circumstances throughout by mentioning Jason and Medea s past
filled with betrayal and the murder of Medea s brother as well as the death of King Pelias. These
tragic events continued with Medea s successful murder of Glause and in turn King Creon, and it
concluded with the murder of her own sons. The many murders are irretrievable, another
category that classifies this play as a tragedy. Lastly, because Jason somewhat accepts
responsibility of the tragic circumstances enforced by Medea, the play exhibits tragic verse, and
there is a reveal of the effect of the tragedy, the play Medea is true to be classified as a traditional

Pig s Responsibility In The Story Of The Three Little Pigs
The Story of the Three Little Pigs originated in England in 1890. In this fairytale their mother,
Old Sow, sends her three pigs into the world to seek their fortune. The pigs meet a man with
building materials. The first pig builds his house with straw; the second builds his house sticks and
the third with bricks. A wolf comes along seeking to blow down the pigs houses and eat them.
Subsequently, pig one and two are eaten, but the wolf is unsuccessful in blowing the third pig s
house down. He attempts to lure the pig out of his house to three locations: Mr. Smith s field,
Merry Garden, and Shanklin. However, the pig is clever and leaves an hour earlier than the wolf.
After the third time of being outsmarted the wolf becomes angry and climbs down the pig s
chimney. Again, the pig is clever so he places a boilingpot of water under the chimney that the wolf
falls into. In the end, the pig eats the wolf. In The Story of the Three Little Pigsthe third pig
illustrates responsibility in his preparation for dealing with the wolf.

Similarities Between New France And Canada
Have you ever thought about how similar and different New France was compared to Canada?
Well, think about all these activities the people in New France had compared to what we do on a
daily basis. For example, farming, hunting and gathering materials. We can do any of these
activities today and we don t do some of them. We farm today. We only hunt for pleasure and not
to gather food because, we have grocery stores. We don t need to gather materials because we have

In New France, you would have to hunt to get your meat. In Canada, you can go to the grocery

Louis XIV wanted to have a single king with absolute power, a single national religion, and a

successful in accomplishing the optimization of domestic and foreign policy to a certain extent.

High School Sports Essay
Competitive sports play a large role in many high schools. In high school I played every sport;

Analysis Of The First Circumnavigators

Spastic Diplegia Research Paper
Haley Hereld
Spastic Diplegia
Introduction Spastic Diplegia can briefly be described as a form of Cerebral Palsy that affects the
lower extremities. It is a neurological condition that appears early in life. I chose to do my research
over this condition because of a very special little girl in my life named Brenna. Right before
Brenna turned three years old she was officially diagnosed with Spastic Diplegia. This was a
diagnosis I had never heard of so when I began researching and found that Spastic Diplegia was a
type of Cerebral Palsy I was confused because Brenna does not portray the characteristics of other
Cerebral Palsy patients I have witnessed before. I have, since then, learned that there are different

A person with this diagnosis will see a variety of health care providers throughout their life.
Some of these may be Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Neurologists. Physical
Therapists will help each patient to learn how to be as functional as possible with their
condition. Many patients will have to walk with an assistive device or even wear a leg brace.
Gait training is very important for patients with Spastic Diplegia. Patients that are diagnosed
with Spastic Diplegia can have complete paralysis or muscle weakness in both lower
extremities. This often results in asymmetries on the right or left lower extremity. Therefore,
when a person with Spastic Diplegia walks they will repeat movements irregularly, and this can
lead to them developing secondary disabilities. 6(p1) A person with Spastic Diplegia can expect
to see a Physical Therapist on and off for their life due to the fact that physical therapy can help
them in so many different ways. Some doctors are prescribing certain medications, such as
muscle relaxers, to help with spastic muscles or even giving their patients Botox injections in the
tight muscles. This is a form of treatment that Brenna is now undergoing. The Botox shot is
injected into the tight muscles and is supposed to help these muscles be able to relax. The words

The Importance Of Web Application
A single page application (SPA) as name suggest is a web application which will fit in a single
web page and acts as a source for rest of the application. Various end user interactions are possible
via HTML, CSS, JavaScript. For most of the part, development happens on the front end in
comparison to traditional web applications which depend heavily on server side interactions to

Web applications use HTTP protocol in order to communicate between client and server. It uses
different methods such as GET, POST, PUT, DELETE. These request methods are important
concepts to be understood as they allow application to request resources from client. These methods
are discussed briefly below:
a.GET
In GET method application request resources using Request URI. URI is a combination of URL

b.POST
In POST method, data is enclosed in message body and server handles request based on Request

c.PUT
PUT method stores the data in the message body of Request URI.
d.DELETE
DELETE method deletes a resource from server identified by Request URI. 2. DOM

My African-American Family
If you re the mother of an African American child then you ll appreciate my struggle. You know
the one of washing and combing your African American child s hair. Madison was born with a
head full of hair and the older she got, the thicker it became. Our hair is characterized by numbers,
with the higher number, the kinkier the hairis. Like most of my kids, Madison has different textures
throughout as we re a mixture of heritage. My maternal great grandmother was European from
Portugal, while my paternal side of the family are Carib Indians who originate from the
Caribbean, so while she does have kinky hair, it s also curly with looser curls. Nevertheless, it can

The Importance Of Parent And Child Relationships
Amongst many of the important relationships formed between people throughout life, a parent and
a child s relationship is the most important. Parent and children relationships are formed from
either one s biological parent or their adopted parents. The relationship between these two types of
formation are always formed. It s obvious this relationship will be life lasting, since a person s
parents will always be involved in their life. The factors that play out when these relationships first
start to form are, the social, physical, and cognitive development. The term parentchild relationship
refers to the unique and enduring bond between a caregiver and his or her child. To understand the
parent child relationship, we must look at the ways that parents and children interact with one
another physically, emotionally, and socially. (Dance Schissel 2017)
Over time theories have arisen that parents are teachers to their children. In other words, what a
child learns comes from their parents first, and then other influences throughout their life. Lev
Vygotsky viewed parents as masters and the child as an apprentice in learning. (Dance Schissel
2017). Diana Baumrind researched that parenting styles come from three different types.
Authoritarian, are parents that are very strict, unbending and inflexible. These types of parents tend
to control every aspect of their children s life. The second parenting style she came up with was,
authoritative parents are firm, loving and kind.

The urinary tract naturally flushes away bacteria that are present in the urethra. However, an
abundance of bacteria present can overcome the flushing power of the urinary tract and begin to
grow. There are species of non pathogenic bacteria that inhabit the urinary tract and result in no
symptoms for the individual. A problem arises when pathogenic bacteria enter the urinary tract and
are not flushed away, this results in a urinary tract infection (UTI) (Foxman and Schaeffer, 2011).
Two urine samples were tested in lab, one from a patient known to have a urinary tract infection
and the other was of the researcher s urine. These samples were plated on a MacConkey s agar
plate (which only allows for the growth of Gram negative bacteria) and on TSA plates (which
allow the growth of both Gram positive and Gram negative bacterium). Colony counts for each
plate were recorded and the number of colony forming units per millilitre (CFU/mL) was
calculated by multiplying the number of colonies by the dilution factor. A value greater than or
equal to 105 CFU/mL is indicative of a urinary tract infection (d Entremont and Maynard, 2014).
The bacterial colonies isolated during the experiment were also exposed to the Cytochrome
Oxidase test. This test reveals whether or not the bacteria produce the enzyme Cytochrome
Oxidase, this enzyme is important in the electron transport chains of aerobic bacteria. The isolated
bacterial colonies were run on an API

Wrongful Conviction Essay
Nothing is flawless, and this is especially true of governments, which are simply collections of
flawed individuals attempting to serve, or in some cases control, a larger group of flawed
individuals. Despite this, a large portion of the population accepts the government s procedures
and regulations without a second thought. Dr. Brian Farrell s lecture titled Wrongful Convictions,
an article about false confessions by Douglas Starr titled The Interview, and even the events
surrounding Prohibition are just some examples of a government that may provide order, but is
far from perfect. RULES AND PROCEDURES ARE NOT ALWAYS BENEFICIAL AND CAN
EVEN LEAD TO UNDESIRABLE CONSEQUENCES. The government of the United States in

While many supported the idea of Prohibition, it caused a great deal of consequences that can still
be seen to this day. In 1920 could anyone have believed that the Eighteenth Amendment, ostensibly
addressing the single subject of intoxicating beverages, would set off an avalanche of change in
areas as diverse as international trade, speedboat design, tourism practices, soft drink marketing, and
the English language itself? Or that it would provoke the establishment of the first nationwide
criminal syndicate, the idea of home dinner parties, the deep engagement of women in political
issues other than suffrage, and the creation of Las Vegas (Okrent 3)? While Prohibition had many
positive consequences, the negative consequences were overlooked and many suffered because of
the government s decision to restrict the consumption of alcohol. There is no doubt that

Analysis of the Movie Frozen by Dani Colman
Dani Colman talks about many ideas in her article that show how the new movie Frozen does
not show realistic feminist ideals as everyone may think it might. Her article is very opinionated,
and seemingly biased or exaggerated. Instead of embracing how Disney has taken a step in the
right direction with the movie when trying to embrace new societal ways of thinking, she attacks
how it does not affectively show all of values held by feminists; what she fails to overlook,
however, is the ideathat the movie was not meant to be a feminist movie, but rather was made to
entertain young children it just included aspects that Disney thought was progressive and compliant
to today s society. Colman does not seem to be validated with her ideas on... Show more content on

She says that her clumsiness factor is not built as something that she, as the protagonist, has to
overcome; she thinks that she made Elsa s coronation just about her since she is vain (Colman,
2014). She points out scenes in the movie that show Elsa as being unaware, like when she rode into
the storm unprepared, did not think of her limitations, like when she tried climbing the mountain,
and provoked Elsa without thinking of the consequences (Colman, 2014). Her only ambition,
according to Colman, is finding her true love, though she s condescending towards the person that
is assumed to fall into that position, Kristoff, and is belligerent towards the person who it ends up
being: her sister, Elsa (Colman, 2014).
In addition to these ideas, she expresses negative ideas about Elsa, Anna s sister. She says that Elsa
is not any better than Anna, and suggests that she may be worse; she says Elsa is self repressing,
though it is not her fault, pathological due to shutting everyone out (even though some people, like
Anna, just want to help), is self blaming, avoidant of issues, frightened, vulnerable, repressed,
intelligent (something positive!), and antisocial (Colman, 2014). She shuts everyone out due to her
fears, and because of that, runs away from her problems instead of confronting them. Most of her
actions that Colman deems as negative are due to her fears, showing how conflicted she is. Colman
thinks that both Elsa and Anna are impulsive,

The Central Concern Of The National Curriculum
The central concern that this case study seeks to address, is whether or not play should continue to
be influential in the acquisition of language with regards to readiness to learn within the National
curriculum. This emotive subject was found by the researcher to be ever present when providing
for needs of the child with SEN and EAL within year one, finding the restriction to movement and
space detrimental to learning. Roberts Holmes (2012) concurs this highlighting the conflict of
interests between the EYFS and the National Curriculum where play based learning is very much
decreased. In addition Tickell (2011) shares concerns about the disconnect between the EYFS and
the National Curriculum recommending a smoother transition between the two. Brock (2009)
confirms this by speaking of the need for the transition to be more fluent by teacher through a
more play based curriculum. However such planning is found by McInnes et al (2011) to be
heavily influenced by the predisposed understanding and perceptions of the individual teacher.
Therefore an analysis of such thoughts and perceptions towards play within year one, will also be
examined/evaluated throughout the research. The research itself will take place within two schools
which have been chosen from within similar socioeconomic disadvantaged areas of Stoke on Trent
(DPH Annual report 2011). The researcher, due to work constraints, considered it unfeasible to
involve all seventy primary schools within this locality.

Machiavellian Prince Analysis
Socrates was a man who sought goodness and wisdom above all else, and would find
Machiavelli s concept of a prince to be a leader void of these qualities. Socrates would be critical
of a Machiavellian prince s character and actions for failing to meet his morally absolute standard
of goodness, and of the Machiavellian prince s notion of wisdom for conflicting with his own.
Socrates would not be supportive of the political system formed under a Machiavellian prince, the
perpetuation of which inherently clashes with his stringent moral absolutism and ideals of devotion
to one s country. Machiavelli asserts that an ideal prince is one that not only attains power through
his own skills and maneuvering, but also maintains power through relative... Show more content on

In a similar situation, while under credible threat of backlash from the people, a prince
following Machiavelli s advice would learn not to be good and take the unjust action to pacify
the threat to his power, whether it be the agitated masses or angry nobles (Prince 56 XV). A
Machiavellian prince considers taking evil action as a viable step if a situation is dire enough in
order to secure himself and his grip on power (Prince 34 VIII). Socrates would denounce this
mindset in a prince, asserting that individuals must do no wrong (Crito 88, 49b). In stark
contrast to a Machiavellian prince s willingness to forego goodness and commit injustice for the
preservation and furtherance of his own power, Socrates pleads with all men to strive for
goodness without exception in any case, including matters of the state (Apology 65, 36c). A
Machiavellian prince s willingness to waver on goodness would warrant strong criticism from
Socrates. In addition to condemning the unjust action of the prince, Socrates would challenge
Machiavelli s assertion that benevolent virtues can lead to a prince s destruction (Prince 57 XV).

The United Nations Stabilization Mission Essay
The term United Nations was, according to the UN s official website, coined by United States
president Franklin Roosevelt in the context of the fact that the nations were united against the Axis
forces in World War Two. In 1945, the United Nations officially started with fifty one states as its
members. Since then, the United Nationshas grown greatly to nearly 200 state members. The United
Nations has several specific purposes that it tries to fulfill. First, its primary goal is to maintain
international peace and security. According to the UN s website, there are five main ways that it
fulfills this purpose. First by preventing conflict before it even starts specifically with diplomatic
discussions and actions in a peaceful manner. Second, the UN maintains international security with
peace keeping organizations. For example, the UN currently is working as the United Nations
Stabilization Mission in Haiti to not only help with the rebuilding after the devastating earthquakes
but also simply maintain peace in the country. In addition to working in preventative and
peacekeeping ways, the United Nations also works towards peace with Peace Building activities,
such as its work in Burundi until 2012. The United nations fourth way it maintains peace is by
combating terrorism which is arguably the opposite of peace. In the United Nations plan of action
for combating terrorism, it states that its members will consistently, unequivocally and strongly

Goals For The Goal Setting
Goal setting is when people set specific challenging goals can powerfully drive behavior and boost
performance (OrdГіГ±ez, Scheitzer, Galinsky, Bazerman, 2009, p.2). There are a lot of pros and
cons to a lot of topics in life. Goal settings have a lot of pros and cons as well. After reading the
three articles there are many more cons than pros to goal setting. Goal setting is very useful to
mangers, but the attackers are blowing things out of proportion. The first pro of goal setting is too
increase performance. The specific challenging goals increase performance more than the
unchallenging goals (OrdГіГ±ez et al., 2009, p.3). So why does setting specific challenging goals
increase performance? So long as a person is committed to the goal, has the requisite ability to
attain it, and does not have conflicting goals, there is a positive, linear relationship between goal
difficulty and task performance (OrdГіГ±ez et al., 2009, p.3). Workers committed to goals will try
harder to complete the goals because there is a path to follow, they can develop plans to achieve
goals, and with goals there is more focus to the goals that it must be achieved so the workers work
harder to complete them. There is also more effort and the workers become persistent in completing
the goal. Another benefit of goal setting is that people are more committed to completing
challenging goals because they company sets them and it will benefit the company. For example,

SAA (Serum Amyloid A) function is similar to a C reactive protein (an annular pentameric protein

as an acute phase protein of hepatic origin, which increases following interleukin 6 secretion by
macrophages and T cells) but acts as an acute phase protein, which can be used as an indicative,

by physical insults to the host which includes infection, trauma, inflammatory reactions, and cancer

Reducing Poverty Essay
Reducing Poverty
Poverty is the United States is a major issue and continues to worsen as housing is becoming less
affordable for many people across the nation. People that do find housing are often restricted to
low income areas that have few opportunities. In the low income areas there are few jobs and the
quality of schools are poor and keep the people in the cycle. To offset this cycle money needs to be
put into the education system in these lower income areas to offset this cycle. Education allows
for people to have more opportunities and would increase the incentive to live in low income
areas. With a quality education that is equal to the suburbs it would give the children much more
opportunities to improve themselves and exit the cycle. This cycle is living in low income areas
gives children a poor education due to the schools lacking money and resources; without the
needed education the student is not able to get a good job. Without the well paying job that person
is not able to afford housing and has to living in affordable housing that is located in the low
income areas. By breaking this cycle with increased education it is possible for people to get out the
cycle that ties them to that area. Education is the foundation to success and it very important that is
equal and everyone receives similar opportunities through that education.
Affordable housing is where it all begins, it is important to have affordable housing in nicer

still is a significant portion of the American population who could use some guidance in pursuing
their dream of home ownership. Many people dream of owning their own home, but it mandates
homework, legwork, and considerable effort on their part to ensure that the process goes as
smoothly as possible. This task can, at times, seem complicated and overwhelming. But if things
are taken step by step, you will soon be holding the keys to your own home! Being a mortgage

Once I have processed your file, I will give you a copy of your pre approval letter. This is a very
important letter because this certifies that you are approved with a bank (with conditions) for a
certain mortgage amount and a certain purchase price for the house. If this will be your first
home, I will also provide you with a free first time home buyer s seminar (which I strongly
recommend that you attend). Only proceed (after this step) if buying a home makes more
financial sense for you and your family than renting. Now it s time for you and your family to
discuss where you would most like to live, based upon the amount for which you were approved
by the bank (a real estate agent can be a great asset in this process). My suggestion would be to
sign up for MLS (Multiple Listing Service) alert services to search for properties in your area so
that you can get a feeling for what is on the market and within your price range. The next step
would be to find a good real estate agent to represent you in the search and negotiation process.
The real estate agent should be amiable, open, interested, relaxed, confident, and of course,
qualified. Learn the agent s rates, methods, experience, and training. You can also ask your loan
consultant for a referral, as they have most likely worked with several realtors and would be able to

7. I do believe that the Fascists nations of the Axis Powers could ve been stopped if the League
of Nations would ve been enforced punishments on the nation s for violating the laws of the
league. In 1931, Japan invaded a territory in China rich of raw materials known as Manchuria.
This attack was the first direct challenge to the League of Nations. At this time the League of
Nations consisted of all the major democracies expect America, also the three biggest threats to
peace, Italy, Japan, and Germany. When Japan took over Manchuria, many league members
strongly disagreed and protested. However, Japan just ignored the protests and withdrew from the

The Czechs weren t invited to take part in the Munich Conference because they didn t want to
break the deal they had with both France and Hitler. On November 5, 1937, Hitler announced to
his advisers his plans to gain control over Czechoslovakia and Austria known as the Third Reich
or German Empire. The Treaty of Versailles restricted Anschluss, or a union between Austria and
Germany. Despite the prohibition, many Austrians supported unity with Germany and in March
of 1938, Hitler sent his army to Austria and annexed it. France and Britain ignored their pledge to
protect Austrian independence. Hitler s new target was Czechoslovakia. Millions of Germans
lived in the western border regions of this nation known as the Sudetenland because that territory
was taken away from Germany from the terms of the Versailles Treaty. This area was a heavily
fortified to act as the Czechs main defense against Germany. The Anschluss raised pro Nazi
emotions among the Sudetenland Germans. In September of 1938, Hitler demanded that the
Sudetenland be given back to Germany, however the Czechs refused and asked France for help. As
France and Britain were preparing for the worse, war, Mussolini proposed a meeting with Germany,
Britain, Italy, and France. On September 28, 1938, the Munich Conference was held in Munich,
Germany. The Czechs were not invited to the conference. Neville Chamberlain, the British prime

Although there is three philosophies in China. We re learning about Confucianism, Daoism, and
Legalism. The three philosophies have different meanings. The three philosophies are interesting

The named Laozi was the man who created Daoism. The influence of Daoism was to make rules
less harly for the people. Daoism is a religion. It was created when Laozi as leaving china and a
border guard recognized him and asked him to write down some of his thoughts before leaving
china. Last, but not least Legalism was the third philosophie. Legalism was based on the
teaching of Hanfeizi. Legalism is based on the idea that most people are naturally selfish. It was
not enough for rulers to set a good example instead they set very strict laws. Legalism was
around the era of 475 221 bc. It had almost immediate influence on the government. When Qin
rulers read Hanfeizi writings; they admired it and adopted some of the legalist ideas. Many
people would die because of disloyalty and other crimes. In fact, these three philosophies helped
me learn about what they do and they are in China. This article will help people that don t know
about the three philosophies and even the people that no a little bit. Confucianism means mostly

Silent Killers Summary
Silent Killers A group in Mexico, called Global Ban Now, raised awareness of plastic in the
ocean in their video Silent Killers. One fateful day, a member discovered a very sick and weak
turtle off the coast of La Paz, Mexico. The poor thing was struggling to breathe, and it was
teetering into death s hands. The turtle was brought to a local facility where they found out that
the feverish marine animal had consumed a plastic bag, and was slowly starving because the
bag was blocking her digestive tract. Luckily, the turtle was saved just in time, and in a couple of
weeks, was released back to sea. Even though plastic bags are not the worst issue in our world, we

Essay On Alien Crime
Chapter II
Literature Review
According to Howitt, A. M., Leonard, H. B. (2009), many disasters such as earthquakes,
tsunamis, forest fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, severe transportation accidents, and terrorist attacks
typically occur with relatively little or no advance notice in places and at times that are at best
only roughly predicted (p. 443). The U.S./Mexico UAC crisis however, was a result of a U.S.
policy which was difficult to foresee or determine. Considering that there are many sanctuary cities
in America, and apprehending a foreigner in the act of a crime is extremely complex in the
American justice system. According to the rule of law, petty crimes and misdemeanors are
routinely processed, classified and dealt with ease. However, murder and more heinous crimes are
treated completely different in our judicial legal system. If you are an American citizen, you could
expect to be in a trial, which will affect the rest of your life. But if you are an illegal foreigner
(alien) and committed a criminal act, many don t understand that international laws come into the
decision making process. Protection internationally, is a global right for anybody. When any illegal

That illegal immigrants had 62% prior criminal records and 3,000 were convicted felons. Of those

Vaughan argued when local jurisdictions shield alien wanted by the feds, the aliens can commit

Elements Of Effective Organization Organizations
Elements of Effective Organizations Every organization strives to become a high performing
organization. The essential elements of effective organizations include a practical business
structure, an excellent communication strategy, competent managers, and influential leaders. The
elements of success are the same for all organizations; however, the process of incorporating the
elements are different because every organization is unique. Organizational Structure Effective
organizational structures define how job tasks are subdivided, grouped, coordinated, and managed.
Six key components of organizational structures include division of labor, departmentalization,
chain of command, span of control, centralization, and formalization (Remme, Jones, Van der
Heijden, De Bono, 2008, p. 79). Each element influence how employees interact with each other to
reach organizational goals. Different structures are common in similar organizations among high
performing organizations (Reimann, 1974, p. 707). The most appropriate structure will depend on
the unique needs and culture of the organization. The division of labor dictates the degree to which
responsibilities are subdivided into separate units. It is communicated through job descriptions, and
ensures each employee has specific duties to perform based on their work experience, education,
and capability. Departmentalization determines which jobs are grouped together to create
departments. Functional Departmentalization is

Being A Prisoner Of War
Missing in action (MIA) is a casualty classification assigned to armed services personnel and
other combatants who are reported missing during wartime. They may have been killed,
wounded, become a prisoner of war (POW), or deserted . Around 1912 the United States Army
created the MIA/POW because most army personnel in countries were not routinely issued with
ID tags. As a result, if someone was killed in action and his or her body was not recovered until
much later, there was little or no chance of identifying the remains. Around the First World War ID
tags were then made as source of identification, some were made of aluminum. Although wearing
ID tags proved to be highly beneficial, the problem that came up were that bodies could be... Show

II.Government Policy Before the War
President John F. Kennedy s started off the Vietnam War by sending over 2,000 military advisers
to South Vietnam in 1961 to mark the beginning of twelve years of American military combat.
U.S. unit combat began in 1965. The number of US. Troops steadily increased until it reached a
peak of 543,400 in April 1969. The total number of Americans who served in South Vietnam was
2.7 million. Of these, more than 58,000 died or remain missing, and 300,000 others were wounded.
The US. Government spent more than $140 billion on the war. Sadly on November, 22nd, 1963 he
was assassinated. Lyndon Baines Johnson stepped into office as the 36th President of the United
States. On July, 20th, 1954, In Indochina there was conference that produced a set of documents
known as the Geneva Accords. These agreements temporarily separated Vietnam into two zones, a
northern zone to be governed by the Viet Minh, and a southern zone to be governed by the State of
Vietnam.
III.The United States Involvement with the Vietnam War
The role of the US was minimal during the Second World War then progressed into full commitment
in the Vietnam War. In 1950, the U.S. government established a Military Assistance and Advisory
Group (MAAG) in Vietnam to help train a viable army, screen French requests for aid, and make

Learning From Traditional Classroom And Learning
I have experience in both learning from the traditional classroom and learning from the online
setting. I can easily identify the differences between these two types of learning environments. The
two main differences can be divided by two categories which are flexibility and class discussions
(Bethel University, n.d.)
?There is far less flexibility in a traditional classroom (Bethel University, n.d.). As a formal student
of a traditional classroom learning environment, I had to physically drive to the college, carry my
textbooks everywhere, and attend class at a designated day and time each week. Since I didn t
have any children, I didn t have to be concerned with finding a babysitter (Bethel University,
n.d.). At the end of each school day, I had to pay for parking as I exited the campus parking
garage. Online learning can be conducted anytime and anywhere that has internet connection. The
greater flexibility involved with online learning can cause a lot of stress to a student. It would be
easy for a student to forget the weekly deadlines and the upcoming schedules (Bethel, University,
n.d.). Students can suffer from a perceived lack of guidance, may experience isolation, and will
likely have technology issues from time to time. (Bethel University, n.d., p. 7). In an online class
discussion, words can be thought of carefully and edited several times before it is posted
permanently unlike the traditional classroom which can t be edited after it has

The community doesn t want a Cold War Museum placed at the site and they do not want to
make it a public area open to families. The wildlife in that area concerns many animal activists
because the wildlife that use the site are also at risk of contamination due to the water and food
they consume at the refuge. Animals were never brought to the site. There is a 6 foot fence that
currently surrounds the Rocky Flats Wildlife Refuge, which provides easy access to deer, antelope,
birds, snakes, and other burrowing animals.
The United States Government has spent $7 billion cleaning up the site and claim that it was
successful. It s a place that Niels Schonbeck, a chemistry professor at Regis University who has
monitored the public health effects of Rocky Flats since the 1980s, would never visit. Schonbeck
questions whether the risk thresholds for human health effects identified by the federal government
are adequate (Aguilar, J., 2015). According to the article, government officials and their scientist

community, and non profit organizations do not believe that any level of plutonium is safe and

  • 3. Core Concepts Of Euroscepticism RESULTS WHAT IS EUROSCEPTICISM? According to Leconte (2010): Euroscepticism is a rather recent term. [...] However, some of the core concepts of Eurosceptic discourse already existed, such as Eurocrat a term which appeared in French dictionaries in the mid 1960s (during the Gaulle era) and which conveys the idea of a gap between European elites and the average citizen. (p.3). Later on, Leconte (2010) mentions that the first link to the word Euroscepticism was mentioned in a specific context in a British public debate on the European Community in the mid 1980 s. It indicated to the anti marketeers , who consisted most of the Labour party and an outer edge of the Conservatives. Then, it got more popular when Margaret Thatcher told her Bruges speech in 1988. The word became more or a catch all term for any objection or struggle towards the EU. Another view on this term is that it varies over time, and changes in correspondence with the rate of successfulness of the EU. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is not an ideology: it does not express a single, stable set of ideas, putting forward a comprehensive worldview. (p.4) But, Euroscepticism does not particularly mean being hostile in relation to European Integration. Nonetheless, in contemporary politics, it has become to be associated with distinctive forms of resistance to European Integration. (Leconte, 2012, p.5) The term Euroscepticism is often being used as a term for all criticism on Europe. But, to be clear, the use of Euroscepticism in this context will only mean the opposition against the EU. (Vollaard, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Hamlet, Shakespeare s Spectacle Essay Deceit, mystery, murder, and betrayal are all very captivating and together have the makings for a daytime soap opera. In this case, however, they are a part of the tragedy of Hamlet. The most regaling aspects of this play, despite the entertaining and compelling qualities just mentioned, are the revenge and the surprisingly unappealing nature of the main character, Hamlet. Throughout the play, Hamlet makes stupid choices that will ultimately lead to his own death, and the death of many around him. Hamlet should not be identified as a courageous hero seeking to avenge his father but instead as a coward lacking determination. Hamlet and revenge are almost synonymous. Hamlet and determination are not. As a primary theme of the play ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He had many opportunities to catch Claudius but did not. One such case is when Claudius went to repent. While Claudius was praying, Hamlet thought, I, his sole son, do this same villain send / to heaven...No! / Up, sword, and know thou a more horrid hent (3.3.77 88). Hamlet did not kill Claudius, as he didn t want him to go to heaven and decided to procrastinate even further. Hamlet s weak choices can be compared to that of a train wreck. The choices are unbelievable and passersby, or in this case readers, just cannot look away. Hamlet sees the wrongdoings surrounding him and does nothing. As Ronald Knowles says, He believes only too well that murder and incest are bad and in need of corrective action... but such a resolution is dialectically reversed from action to words (1056 1057). Hamlet lacks the courage to do what he desires and deems right. To me, if you don t do what you think is right you are the biggest coward of all. Does bravery increase with age or is a person less likely to stand for what is right because they have more at stake? Hamlet, as we can infer from the play, is an adult, and not a valiant one at that. When Hamlet is speaking to one of the gravediggers you come to find out, he is thirty years old. For a grown man, and one who is meant to be a king, Hamlet is melodramatic for no reason and he presents himself as an emotionally unbalanced teenager. Well known author T.S. Eliot also believes Hamlet acts in excess of what ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This quote by Dr. Temple Grandin helps explain to me what autism is all about. According to autismspeaks.org , Autism is a condition that is a result of a neurological disorder that has an affect on normal brain function, affecting development of the person s communication and social interaction skills. Although we do not have a set cause for autism, we know that it presents itself during the first three years of a child s life. In the 1988 film Rain Man, we see a man, Raymond Babbit, with autism. The movie begins with Charlie Babbit learning that his father has passed away and that he was left with a few rose bushes and a car, while the rest of the 3 million dollars went to Charlie s brother Raymond. We later find out that Charlie once knew Raymond and he actually gave Raymond the nickname Rain Man because when he was little he couldn t say Raymond. Charlie like any other person who felt they were cheated out of their share of family money was very determined. While spending time with Raymond ,Charlie found that he was exceptionally brilliant but also has many characteristics that individuals with autism experience. Throughout the film we see that Raymond has to have structure in his daily life, he often repeats himself, and has trouble interacting with people and understanding concepts but is extremely proficient in counting and doing calculations. The historical fiction The Book of Negroes by Lawrence Hill, a Canadian author, leads to the further research in the socio political discipline. Many scholars state that slaves or immigrants lost their identities through different life challenges and diaspora situations. The scholarly article Currency and Cultural Consumption Lawrence Hill s The Book of Negroes by Andrea Medovarski, a professor, describes the difficulties Aminata encounters in an economic and cultural perspective, on the other hand, another scholarly article The Postcolonial Female Bildung in Lawrence Hill s The Book of Negroes by Oluyomi Oduwobi, a literary... Writing within the socio political discipline and the term Black Diaspora borrowed from my primary resource The Book of Negroes, I show how do the difficulties and situations shape a person in the literary fiction. I argue that Aminata Diallo does not fit into both North America and Africa even she finds and keeps her personal identity. Finding and keeping personal identities is a profound theme in The Book of Negroes. The scene that Aminata boards the boat, her friend says: I have taken many men to the sea, but not once have I seen one return to his village (Hill 51). Even though Aminata is only eleven year old by that time, she has a strong sense of belonging to her motherland, so she tells her friend: I will sleep by day and walk at night. But listen to me, friend. I will come back. And I will come home (Hill 51). The protagonist realizes her African identity and her belief supports her and helps her overcome many dilemmas. The story line I am going to talk about is power and oppression, throughout California s history there has been many events of power and oppression that has shaped California s history in many ways. I selected this storyline because I am able to relate many of these events that have happened throughout history. I will described the Spanish and Mexican period, the Americanization period, the early 20th century, and the late 20th century to today. First I will begin with the Spanish and Mexican period 1776 1846, during these period we could see that there was a lot of power and oppression that started with the Spanish conquest to expand their colonization. The spanish brought with them christianity trying to convert Native Americans to become that same religion, the spanish developed a series of presidios, missions, and pueblos in the lands of Native Americans where they were forced to change their religion, customs, and culture to become part of the Spanish. Many Native Americans were killed by the Spanish soldiers when they would decline to change their way of living. The Spanish practice oppression trying to convert this people into christianity this is an example of the power and oppression the spanish used during these period of time. In addition to the presence of a tragic hero, Medea reveals tragic circumstances throughout by mentioning Jason and Medea s past filled with betrayal and the murder of Medea s brother as well as the death of King Pelias. These tragic events continued with Medea s successful murder of Glause and in turn King Creon, and it concluded with the murder of her own sons. The many murders are irretrievable, another category that classifies this play as a tragedy. In a similar situation, while under credible threat of backlash from the people, a prince following Machiavelli s advice would learn not to be good and take the unjust action to pacify the threat to his power, whether it be the agitated masses or angry nobles (Prince 56 XV). A Machiavellian prince considers taking evil action as a viable step if a situation is dire enough in order to secure himself and his grip on power (Prince 34 VIII). Socrates would denounce this mindset in a prince, asserting that individuals must do no wrong (Crito 88, 49b). In stark contrast to a Machiavellian prince s willingness to forego goodness and commit injustice for the preservation and furtherance of his own power, Socrates pleads with all men to strive for goodness without exception in any case, including matters of the state (Apology 65, 36c). A Machiavellian prince s willingness to waver on goodness would warrant strong criticism from Socrates. There are a lot of pros and cons to a lot of topics in life. Goal settings have a lot of pros and cons as well. After reading the three articles there are many more cons than pros to goal setting. Goal setting is very useful to mangers, but the attackers are blowing things out of proportion. The first pro of goal setting is too increase performance. The specific challenging goals increase performance more than the unchallenging goals (OrdГіГ±ez et al., 2009, p.3). So why does setting specific challenging goals increase performance? So long as a person is committed to the goal, has the requisite ability to attain it, and does not have conflicting goals, there is a positive, linear relationship between goal difficulty and task performance (OrdГіГ±ez et al., 2009, p.3). Workers committed to goals will try harder to complete the goals because there is a path to follow, they can develop plans to achieve goals, and with goals there is more focus to the goals that it must be achieved so the workers work harder to complete them. There is also more effort and the workers become persistent in completing the goal. Yahya Bello To test whether chemokine receptor CXCR3 mediates gene transcription Introduction SAA (Serum Amyloid A) function is similar to a C reactive protein (an annular pentameric protein that is mostly found in blood plasma and its levels rise in response to inflammation. It considered as an acute phase protein of hepatic origin, which increases following interleukin 6 secretion by macrophages and T cells) but acts as an acute phase protein, which can be used as an indicative, predictive or as a therapy follow up marker for many diseases such as Atherosclerosis, Rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn s disease, and diabetes. As the level of the serum increases, the SAA is triggered by physical insults to the host which includes infection, trauma, inflammatory reactions, and cancer (R. Kisilevsky a, 1991). A broad response range is reflected by an SAA geneduplication, which results into a cluster encoding of several SAA variants and by multiple biological functions of SAA. SAA prompted chemokines in degrading enzymes through a Toll like receptors and it functions as an activator and chemoattractant through a G protein coupled receptor. A persistent stimulus in an infectious or inflammatory area, this will cause the liver to produce more SAA, which will become an antimicrobial agent by functioning as a direct opsonin of bacteria (Urieli Shoval, Linke, Matzner, 2000). • 50. Elements Of Effective Organization Organizations Elements of Effective Organizations Every organization strives to become a high performing organization. The essential elements of effective organizations include a practical business structure, an excellent communication strategy, competent managers, and influential leaders. The elements of success are the same for all organizations; however, the process of incorporating the elements are different because every organization is unique. Organizational Structure Effective organizational structures define how job tasks are subdivided, grouped, coordinated, and managed. Six key components of organizational structures include division of labor, departmentalization, chain of command, span of control, centralization, and formalization (Remme, Jones, Van der Heijden, De Bono, 2008, p. 79). Each element influence how employees interact with each other to reach organizational goals. Different structures are common in similar organizations among high performing organizations (Reimann, 1974, p. 707). The most appropriate structure will depend on the unique needs and culture of the organization. The division of labor dictates the degree to which responsibilities are subdivided into separate units. It is communicated through job descriptions, and ensures each employee has specific duties to perform based on their work experience, education, and capability. Departmentalization determines which jobs are grouped together to create departments. Functional Departmentalization is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 51. Being A Prisoner Of War Missing in action (MIA) is a casualty classification assigned to armed services personnel and other combatants who are reported missing during wartime. They may have been killed, wounded, become a prisoner of war (POW), or deserted . Around 1912 the United States Army created the MIA/POW because most army personnel in countries were not routinely issued with ID tags. As a result, if someone was killed in action and his or her body was not recovered until much later, there was little or no chance of identifying the remains. Around the First World War ID tags were then made as source of identification, some were made of aluminum. Although wearing ID tags proved to be highly beneficial, the problem that came up were that bodies could be... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 52. Learning From Traditional Classroom And Learning I have experience in both learning from the traditional classroom and learning from the online setting. I can easily identify the differences between these two types of learning environments. The two main differences can be divided by two categories which are flexibility and class discussions (Bethel University, n.d.) ?There is far less flexibility in a traditional classroom (Bethel University, n.d.). As a formal student of a traditional classroom learning environment, I had to physically drive to the college, carry my textbooks everywhere, and attend class at a designated day and time each week. Since I didn t have any children, I didn t have to be concerned with finding a babysitter (Bethel University, n.d.). At the end of each school day, I had to pay for parking as I exited the campus parking garage. Online learning can be conducted anytime and anywhere that has internet connection. The greater flexibility involved with online learning can cause a lot of stress to a student. It would be easy for a student to forget the weekly deadlines and the upcoming schedules (Bethel, University, n.d.). Students can suffer from a perceived lack of guidance, may experience isolation, and will likely have technology issues from time to time. (Bethel University, n.d., p. 7). In an online class discussion, words can be thought of carefully and edited several times before it is posted permanently unlike the traditional classroom which can t be edited after it has ... • 53. Rocky Flats Wildlife Refuge Rocky Flats National Wildlife Refuge in Golden, CO, has been a topic for debate for many years. In 2010, I testified and spoke out against the wildlife refuge on the house floor regarding House Bill 10 1127. The topic is still making local headlines with leaders on both sides arguing what are considered safe levels of Plutonium and Uranium. The article depicts the nature of the arguments and how the policies will affect the community. Some of the controversies discussed in the article that may affect the community include, safety, zoning, recreational, and environmental issues. Public safety is one of the main concerns for the community. The concern is that the United StatesDepartment of Energy (DOE) has not done enough to clean up the site.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The community doesn t want a Cold War Museum placed at the site and they do not want to make it a public area open to families. The wildlife in that area concerns many animal activists because the wildlife that use the site are also at risk of contamination due to the water and food they consume at the refuge. Animals were never brought to the site. There is a 6 foot fence that currently surrounds the Rocky Flats Wildlife Refuge, which provides easy access to deer, antelope, birds, snakes, and other burrowing animals. The United States Government has spent $7 billion cleaning up the site and claim that it was successful. It s a place that Niels Schonbeck, a chemistry professor at Regis University who has monitored the public health effects of Rocky Flats since the 1980s, would never visit. Schonbeck questions whether the risk thresholds for human health effects identified by the federal government are adequate (Aguilar, J., 2015). According to the article, government officials and their scientist have claimed that the site is safe and will open the refuge to the public. Scientists, members of the community, and non profit organizations do not believe that any level of plutonium is safe and think it is a hazardous mistake for their ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Yahoo! is talking with both News Corporation and AOL, too, trying to forge a strategic alliance against Google. In a letter to Yang, Steve Ballmer, CEO of Microsoft, said: I am disappointed. [Our offer] remains the only alternative that provides, for your stockholders, full and fair value. You have left significant value on the table. Yang now has to prove he can boost Yahoo! s share price and justify his board s decision. Ballmer wrote: Our discussions led us to conclude that you would take steps to make Yahoo! undesirable. We regard with particular concern your plan to respond to a hostile bid by outsourcing to Google key paid internet search facilities currently offered by Yahoo! Sir Martin Sorrell, CEO of WPP, an advertising agency, who wants to see a stronger rival to Google, commented: Microsoft showed self discipline by not bidding higher.
