To the future we would like to control all the production chain of Hipanema and go to backward
integration. Our goals are opening our own shop and a workshop in Paris.
V) INDUSTRY LIFE CYCLE
HIPANEMA is in a growth phase. It is a phase in the life cycle of an industry when companies
move beyond the startup phase into a phase of increased competition for market share.
Indeed, the turnover increased rapidly after the launch phase. If the market is attractive, the
turnover will increase and the product will not reach maturity quickly.
This period is characterized by a growth in sales of the product with a favorable word of mouth
that brings new customers. New competitors are also entering the market, attracted by the
possibilities of development (which may even be beneficial for the product).
INDUSTRY LIFE CYCLE CURVE
During this phase, HIPANEMA must try to support growth as long as possible by :
Improving product quality
Expand its range to reach more customers
Increase distribution
Continue communication campaigns
Lower gradually low prices.

Naturally you will want to do some research in to the potential day care providers. Talk to them,
view their web sites, ask questions, get references so you can take a view and get a feel for which
one will be most suitable for you and your dog.
You want to be comfortable that he is in the best hands when he cannot be in yours. You do not
want to send a nervous dog to somewhere which might make his anxiety issues worse so do take
your time to choose the best provider you can. A visit to the provider s premises is also advised so
you can chat to the owner, see if everything is clean and tidy, see how other dogs are behaving and
if they are happy.
It will of course cost to use a doggy day care provider so make sure you have the budget for it.
This alone will not cure any dog separation anxiety issues however used in conjunction with other
methods which you should still work on with your dog, the combination of all can have a powerful
cumulative effect and help your dog to adjust.
Patience is the key when working with a dog with separation anxiety. Many dogs need you to be
in charge and make them feel at ease and safe. So by helping to take stresses away from them you
are helping them to cope. Find what works best for your dog and go with

Characteristics Of The English Language Learners
1.There are many types of diversity. List two types and explain how those affect students reading
abilities.
Linguistic diversity is when a student s first language is not the language of instruction at school.
According to Garcia, American Standard English is seen as a vital tool for success in the United
States which affects reading abilities of English language learners. Since the implantation of No
Child Left Behind and Common Core, English language learners have to a second language and
complex academic materials. Teacher have to understand the English language learners face unique
challenges when learning to read and have limited background and vocabulary restrictions.
Cultural diversity is the situation that results when a student s home, family, socioeconomic group,
culture, and society differ from the predominant culture of the school. It is closely related to
linguistic diversity. The student s language is related to culture. When the language that the
students uses at home is different at school, it affects the child ability to communicate which affects
the student s reading ability.
2.There are four instructional approaches that schools use to transform the curriculum in order to
make accommodations for students who are culturally diverse. List and explain two approaches.
The transformative approach is when teachers provide opportunities for students to read about
concepts and events. It is more social, and students read and discuss cultural

Analysis Of The Poem Judith Of Bethulia ( Brine, Ciletti...
INTRODUCTION
The poem Judith illustrates the executing of Assyrian general Holofernes by Judith of Bethulia
(Brine, Ciletti and Lähnemann 86). The poem looks at Judith as a woman of morals, courage, and
religious conviction, and her character is portrayed as virtuous and blameless. Judith returns
victorious to her city after killing the mortal enemy, and her people proceed to win the battle against
their foes (Brine, Ciletti and Lähnemann 86). Thus, the poet gives an opportunity to witness the
efforts of the poet trying to fit a female into a setting of men in the society. The poem majorly
focuses on heroism and the main styles are looked at with respect to themes within Judith poem.
Judith s beauty is adored and symbolized throughout ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Though giving Judith the military role may be a deliberate choice by the poet. The clearest
indicator of the poet to portray Judith as a military leader is his use of contrast. The poet depicts
Holofernes as the epitome of evil. In contrast, Judith is depicted as pure goodness (Brine, Ciletti
and Lähnemann 98). Therefore, the two characters directly oppose each other. The two groups
represented by Holofernes and Judith, the Assyrians and Bethulians are also contrasted via a clever
use of traditional heroic language.
It is natural to see Judith as everything that a commander needs to be. For instance, on the night
preceding the battle between the Bethulians and Assyrians, Holofernes calls the senior soldiers of
his army to a feast. Certainly, Holofernes does not know that the Bethulians will attack the
following day, but a military commander probably would not allow all of his soldiers to be made
drunk (Brine, Ciletti and Lähnemann 100). In the same instance, the poet refers to Judith s battle
is fought on a bed against an unconscious man and not on the battlefield. Is Judith act is not heroic
as Holofernes passes out after drinking too much. She does not kill Holofernes in the heat of battle,
but rather in a quite cold blooded fashion.
Judith s actions are very personalized and private, in contrast to male heroes. The poet stresses the
secretive environment of Holofernes s tent and bed. The

Hope in All Moments
It was not my intention to work there, and to say nothing of that event which has created a void
in my life which the lapse of four years has done little to fill. Italy is not the same anymore. The
villainous German regime ended four years ago and that s when the Holocaust for ever changed
my life. Being a doctor during the time involuntarily forced me to work at a corrupt concentration
camp. Mournful memories from the past strike me like robbers in the darkness, but they only steel

Scampering up the dark alleyway, a rotten, stagnant stench of flesh suddenly snaked its way
towards us; he had no idea. We approached the back of the gas chambers, stuck between a barbed
wire fence and solidified wall, our only way was forward. Chilling, thick clouds of fog started to
sway our direction and helped mask us from German soldiers. Faint voices were heard deep
further, but we couldn t identify a thing. The fog slowly receded in the strong gust of wind and
what I saw next plunged riddling fear deep down into my heart. The daunting scene exposed to
my eyes startled me; I never wanted to eradicate a scene from my consciousness so promptly.
Endless pits of ravaged Jewish bodies towered over us and tormenting aromas struck my nostrils.
Perpetual confusion grasped my body as I became frozen in fear. Batel quickly tackled me to the
ground as German soldiers disposing corpses came unquestionably close. I relinquished my
sorrowful agony and focused on the task as it intensified. Increased patrols of German soldiers
approached this way and before they could get any closer, we sprinted behind a shed. The open
area was enclosed by barbed wire fences and I quickly had to rethink my plan. A direct pathway
towards the offices appeared and we decided to follow them back. We hid behind a bin before our
final stretch up the stairs and into my office. As we quietly left the bin and creeped up the uneven

Weight Loss Research Project Essay
In the American Culture we have adapted many ways of the Greek and Roman Empires. Our
society has the laid back lifestyle of the Greeks and the physical fitness of the Romans. Statistics
show 45 percent of Americans set a goal every year to achieve weight loss/fitness. Of that 45
percent, and just under half of Americans still maintain their New Year s Resolution (Hub Pages).
The question is why is weight loss so important in America? There are many answers and factors
that play into figuring out the equation. One factor is the increase of obesity in our country year
in and year out. Other key factors is the impact of media on our culture to look slim and be sexy,

In 2004 the United States Supreme court placed a ban on the supplement. Yohimbine is also
similar to ephedra; it can have a significant effect on body fat but does pose negative side effects
(Case Watch). Although it has not been banned, you can only attain yohimbine with a
prescription legally in the United States. It s important to keep in mind that these are just two
examples of supplements used for weight loss that may pose harm, but not all are as dangerous.
Some common supplements that are constantly seen in magazines, commercials, and on the
internet are Hydroxycut, Trim spa, and Lipo Six. These pills are suggested to be used in
conjunction of a healthy diet and proper workout programs in order to be effective. The
marketing of these products makes them attractive towards consumers who are athletes and
people who want to have better appearance. In most ads you will notice a ripped bodybuilder or
woman who trained with product. This technique is used to help enhance the image of the
product. In addition some advertisements show before and after photos from real people who took
supplements. The supplements are not regulated by the FDA so the claims the companies make
may or may not be bias but appear to have an affect when use correctly. Having a healthy diet is the
most crucial element to effective weight loss. Choosing the right diet and sticking to it is the hard

Analysis Of Saki s The Unrest Cure
This year in Funny Pages, I have learned a considerable amount about the art of Comedy. Some
of the stories we read were such classics as: Twelfth Night, The Lull, Handful of Dust, and the

Music Choices Affecting Driving Habits
Whether you take long trips regularly, or you simply drive back and forth to work, you likely
listen to music while you are driving. During this time, you may wonder, Can different music
choices affect your driving habits? Studies have looked at this question and found that your music
choices can influence how you drive. Negative Feelings Toward Song= Negative Driving
Experience When it comes to music, your feelings concerning the song can influence your driving.
In a UK study from 2013, eight people, four men and four women, each drove 500 miles. For the
first half of the trip, they did not listen to music at all. The second half of the trip, they all listened
to music. The study found that listening to music you do not like can be stressful and a distraction,

For example, faster songs lead to more excitement, which can then cause the person to
concentrate on the song more than on the road. Along with that, a faster, upbeat tempo can
cause drivers to unconsciously speed up to match the song s beat. That does not mean slower
beats are ideal either. According to the study, slower songs can cause a person to relax too much,
thereby making the person less alert. The ideal driving song will have between 60 80 beats per
minute, which mimics the beat of the human heart. Looking at a few of the specific drivers in the
study, one women drove faster and engaged in last minute breaking when she was listening to hip
hop music. A male driver listening to a heavy metal playlist drove much faster than the other
drivers. While it might not be shocking to find that both of these genres negatively influenced
these drivers driving, many people might be surprised to learn that classical music actually caused
one male and one female driver to drive more erratically than when they were not listening to any
music at all. The Canadian

Suicide And Suicide
While awareness of suicide and its rippling effect on the community is increasing, much of the
research into the psychological impact of those exposed to death by suicide has been focused on
adults.
Which is why top academic and suicide postvention expert, Karl Andriessen has focused his PhD
project at the University of New South Wales, on investigating the grief, mental health and help
seeking experiences of adolescents who have lost a loved one through suicide.
The study, supported by the Anika Foundation for Adolescent Depression and Suicide, identifies the
adolescents experiences, which may be specific for this age group, to determine whether they
require specific attention from caregivers or health professionals.
It is well known that exposure to suicide and bereavement after suicide is a risk factor for adverse
outcomes related to health, mental health and social functioning, says Mr Andriessen.
We started this research project because most of the research has been focused on the adult
population, not on the younger age groups.
Hence, little is known about their grief and mental experiences, and their needs for support.
The study aims to redress that gap in our knowledge.
The project involved semi structured telephone interviews with 39 adolescents bereaved by suicide
and/or another cause of death.
During the interview participants talked about their relationship with the person they had lost,
feelings and needs at time of death, support sought

HIV Treatment Plan
Diseases, infections, and viruses effect the population around the world each and every day. One of
those viruses is the Human Immunodeficiency Virus, or better known as HIV. HIV is a virus that
attacks the immune system, causing it to become weak and vulnerable. HIV can later on turn into
AIDS, or Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome. There is currently no known cure for HIVor
AIDS, but there are treatment plans available to help prolong HIV from turning into AIDS.
There are three stages of Human Immunodeficiency Virus. The beginning stage of HIV is Acute
Retroviral Syndrome, where symptoms may or may not first start occurring. At about one to four
weeks after infection takes place, the infected person can start experiencing flu like symptoms.
During this stage, the virus attacks CD4 cells using them to replicate and destroy already existing
cells. The next stage is called Clinical Latency, or chronic HIV infection. At this time no symptoms

A Faulty Understanding Of God s Nature
A faulty understanding of God s nature means that both a counsellor and a counselee s worldview
may be skewed. The consequences for a counsellor is ineffective, and potentially dangerous
guidance. A Christian counsellor needs a close relationship with God, which provides a connection
with the Holy Spirit. It is impossible to have a faulty understanding of Godand simultaneously be
close to Him. Closeness suggests intimate knowledge of another based on what is true, not on
what is perceived. One of the Christian counsellor s primary roles is to provide a way for the
counselee to find hope and trust in God s love and wisdom in their life, since He is the ultimate way

omnipotence and love. The character traits listed beside omnipotence conjure memories of my

that this temple is supposed to be dedicated to Apollo the Sun God she laughed, waving her
guide book in the air. Oh, no, it wasn t that particular deity I was praying to, Clare said with a
secretive smile. On another lazy afternoon by the pool, Clare, lounging beneath a sunshade,
composed a short poem in blank verse. She felt that writing rhyming verse was sometimes too

all a dreadful mistake, And can I have our friendship back? Grovel at your feet and say I m not a
lesbian. The long leisurely days on the sun kissed isle passed rapidly and Clare forgot about the

Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Essay
Neonatal nurse practitioners are advanced practice nurses who care for premature and sick
newborns in various settings such as neonatal intensive care units, emergency rooms, delivery
rooms, or specialty clinics. Although neonatal nurses care for health newborns, neonatal nurse
practitioners are skilled in caring for newborns in need of specialized attention. A newborn may be
premature due to premature birth, low birth weight, respiratory distress, heart abnormalities and
other disorders. Since these infants are so fragile, these nurses assume a lot of responsibility that

African American Stereotypes In Literature
Minorities are some of the most targeted and mistreated people in the world because of a
misconceptions we are given. Many people already have this image or idea of a person before
getting to know them because of what they have heard or read. Cultural representation of people
and how they are portray in literature affect how people are viewed and treated.
Some common stereotypes are that Asians are very intelligent people. For Latinos, many people
believe that they are gang affiliated and not very intelligent. As for African Americans, some
common ones include that they all are very similar in appearance or that they are all on welfare or
that they have big lips. Many believe that white people are rich and privileged. We hear these

their teacher because she was white and they don t feel like she is up to the task because they

he believed brown was armed, this mistrust caused brown s death and an up roaring.
Historically literature undermines the minorities. African Americans went from being slave to

portrayed as bad people. Even in television, the heroes are mostly white people. In the future there

however, driving becomes a lot less fun. Nobody likes standing in the cold at seven in the morning,
trying to pry the ice from their windshield. To shorten the ice removal process, you should get your
snow gloved hands on a car scraper.
What Is A Car Scraper?
During the colder months, ice collects on idle cars overnight, covering windshields, bonnets, and
pretty much every inch of a vehicle s exterior. While a little bit of ice on your car door or bumper
isn t such a big deal, the ice gathered on your windows is cause for concern. When your windshield
is covered by a blanket of frost, it becomes impossible to see through, so you ... Show more content

Ka Bar Lake Effect Ice Scraper
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IJWR7ZWb
The Lake Effect Ice Scraper features a hard plastic blade which will glide smoothly across your
windshield, removing snow and ice in practically no time at all.
Pros
American Made
If you want to purchase an American made car scraper, the Ka Bar Lake Effect is one of only a
few available. There are a number of reasons one might chose an American made car scraper over
one manufactured elsewhere. For a start, doing so will stimulate the American economy.
Furthermore, employees in Chinese factories where many other car scrapers are manufactured are
often underpaid and poorly treated.
Doubles as a Weapon
I guess you could say all car scrapers double as a weapon, but the Ka Bar Lake Effect Ice Scraper
was specifically designed to be used as a self defense tool when not ridding windshields of ice.
Cons
Funds Production of Hunting Tools
If you are a fan of hunting, this probably won t be too much of an issue for you. However, car
owners who are against hunting for sport should note that Ka Bar also manufacturers hunting
equipment, meaning a portion of the money spent on this car scraper will likely go into funding the
production of further hunting

Brief Summary Of The Story The Birthmark
The Birthmark The birthmark symbolizes that sin is in the world and that no matter how hard
you try you can t remove it or try to be God. Almer was trying to clearly make himself out to be
equal to God. He believed that since he made an elixir he could choose who he wanted to use the
elixir and who couldn t. He was trying to pick who got to live and who didn t. Only God can
choose who lives and who dies. Aylmer was not correct in his pursuit for happiness because his
wife was fine with the birthmark and it didn t bother him. He didn t marry her because of the
birthmark but because he could look past it and he shouldn t have wanted to change it. He
wanted to make his wife perfect because she was already so beautiful he wanted her to remove
it. (Pg. 245.) The birthmark in this story represents the sinful nature of the world we live in. His
wife was perfectly happy with the birthmark it didn t bother her. Her husband as the time went on
grew repulsed by the mark and he said that he wouldn t quit trying to fix it until he removed it. He
can be compared to a modern day plastic surgeon in this story. She chose to do the procedure to

he worked to remove the mark, he showed his wife the cabinet of chemicals which he said were

Karl Marx, Adam Smith, And Andrew Carnegie

Section #62
20th Cent. World History
Fall 2015
Karl Marx, Adam Smith, and Andrew Carnegie The writings of Karl Marx, Adam Smith, and
Andrew Carnegie all made significant impacts in society not only in their time, but continuing to
this day. Marx shared is opinions on capitalism and his views of the progression of human society
in his writing, The Communist Manifesto which he wrote with Friedrich Engles and published
in 1848. Marx believed in the idea of a society with no capitalism and the abolition of the
bourgeoisie. Adam Smith wrote a book called The Wealth of Nations which was published in
1776. In his book he tells the reader what helps to build the economy of a nation and essentially
advocates for capitalism. Andrew Carnegie was a self made multimillionaire who gained his
wealth by investing in the railroads. In 1889 he wrote an article titled The Gospel of Wealth in
which he discusses the duty of the upper class to distribute their surplus wealth to those in need.
All three of these men were influential in their works and ways of life, but all three had extremely
different opinions on capitalism. Karl Marx s viewed capitalism as something that was negative for
our society, but that would eventually become a positive. Because of capitalism, the bourgeoisie
(upper and middle class) would often oppress the proletarians (working class). In The Communist
Manifesto he discusses how capitalism is part of the transition to communism. Marx

An Analysis of the Period from New Kingdom Egypt to the...
Ancient History Historical Time Period:
New Kingdom Egypt to the Death of Thutmose IV
1. Internal Developments:
Impact of the Hyksos: political, economic, and technological
Political:
The second Intermediate Period was a time of great disunity in Egypt. There was no centralised rule
with the country being broken up into independently administered regions. Hyksos sources are
archaeological rather than written and are incomplete. Excavations at Tell el Dab a in the north
eastern Delta by Manfred Bietak (archaeologist), have identified this site as an ancient Avaris, the
capital of a foreign people known as the Hyksos.
Who were the Hyksos? The name comes from the Greek version of the Egyptian hekau khasu, an

Seqenenre Tao II, called, the Brave, was Pharaoh of the 17th Dynasty. Evidence reveals to the
historian how Seqenenre Tao II began the first phase of the war of liberation. He couldn t bear to
see Egypt in control by foreigners. He declared war against the Hyksos, however, it resulted in his
tragic and gruesome death.
King Seqenenre Tao II s heir, Kamose said,
...My wish is to save Egypt and to smite the Asiatics.
Kamose knew it was time to fight. He wanted to become the next liberator of Egypt. Historians
believe that Kamose and his army departed North into the Hyksos territory.
When the next day dawned, I swooped down on him like a falcon...I had already defeated him...I
demolished his defences and killed his men.
Carnavaron Tablet and the Kamose Stela revealed Kamose s death before reaching Avaris, while
trying to expel the Hyksos. Ahmose declared war against the Hyksos but there is only one
eyewitness account of this critical moment. Historians found it in the tomb of a soldier who fought
in Ahmose s army against the Hyksos.
Ahmose returned victoriously to Thebes. The work of his father and brother had finally been
completed. Historical evidence has proven that that point in Egyptian history was perceived as the
re birth of Egypt into a unified country, led by one pharaoh, Ahmose I. Egypt had finally conquered
the Hyksos and Ahmose I was the hegemony of Thebes. Excavations at Tell el Dab a reveal
abandonment of the Siege of Avaris, which reveals

How Did Kasushika Hokusai Influence Japanese Culture
Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai helped expose the Western world to Japanese customs and
beliefs. His crucial impact on culture and art can be attributed to his notable and familiar
depictions of Japan s geography, architecture, and people that surrounded him. Hokusai s unique
blend of traditional Japanese methods and Western mediums made his work a source of
inspiration for many European artists during the Impressionism era such as Van Gogh, Monet, and
Degas. Katsushika Hokusai, best known for his print of a large wave gracefully swallowing a
fishing boat called The Great Wave Off Kanagawa , is arguably one of the most influential artists
of the 19th century. His work can be viewed in prestigious museums like The Metropolitan Museum

However, throughout the 19th century, the influence of artists like Hokusai, Utamaro, and
Hiroshige helped transform the former taboo into an appreciation for this cornerstone of
Japanese culture. While ukiyo e was a strength of Hokusai s, it wasn t the only style of art he
was trained in. While studying under Shunsho, he also attended lessons from Yusen, an artist
from the Kano school who taught him about Western style art and the use of perspective. These
experiences shaped Hokusai into an exceptional artist and woodworker, but probably would not
have been possible if he had been born in another country, showing the significant impact relative
location can have. Relative location, defined as a point or place in relation to another point or
place , played a significant role in Hokusai s career throughout his life. For example, because of
the large distance between where Japan is located relative to where Europe is located, it was
hard for Hokusai to share his artistic ideas outside of his home country. In addition to the issue of
physical distance, during the early 1800 s Japan was under a foreign policy called sakoku, which
allowed no foreigner or Japanese person to enter or leave the country on penalty of death. This

Failure In Conversations With God
You are the creator of your own reality, and life can show up in no other way for you than the way
in which you think it will.
Conversations with God: An Uncommon Dialogue by Neal Walsh
Failure has commonly been seen as something people do not want to face, as the worst someone
can confront. The society we live in today has directly related failure to negative thoughts and
disappointment, being one of the main reasons for surrendering on one s dreams or goals. It was
only through a harsh experience that I learned that failure is strictly the contrary to the pre
established ideas given by society. It is the most effective motivator and the most beautiful sign
of a bright future to come. It represents having tried, which is the first and most important step
that needs to be taken in order to achieve our goals. It serves as a mean to acquire the most
valuable information of what was rightfully done and what needs to be improved in order to
succeed. It all comes down to the way in which each and every one of us decides to use the failures
we face, because they can either lead us to our own self surrender ... Show more content on

as well as the knowledge and lessons we come to learn. Because our future and our

our ability to be the best and always succeed, but from the capacity to acknowledge that with

Stono Rebellion Research Paper
Early Sunday Morning, on September 9th, 1739, a band of slaves marched, carrying banners that
declared Liberty! . This revolt, named the Stono Rebellion, was the largest uprising in the colonies
with over 50 people killed. Although the reason for this slave revolt is not 100 percent clear, there
are multiple theories. To address the validity of these theories, it is important to get a deeper
understanding of the backgrounds of the key leaders and participants of this revolt, such as Jemmy.
The Stono Rebellionwas the largest uprising in the colonies. While it is unclear exactly what may
have riled up the slaves, there are many theories, such as the decrease of freedom due to the
implementation of multiple strict laws. Whatever may have caused the rebellion, on September 9th,
1739, a group of about twenty slaves gathered near the Stono River and began their trek. They began

that were seen over and over aging at this year s ceremony are listed below. Many bare necks
were seen this year when actresses came with no necklaces on. Many of whom were sporting
strapless gowns, but many were not. It seems this year they opted for less jewelry. Jewelry was

But you don t have to spend a lot of money to be fashionable this fall. Leggings are a great way to
update your wardrobe this fall without breaking the bank. They are a great transition piece of
clothing that lets you stretch your summer dresses into the fall. There are a few things to keep
in mind while shopping for leggings this fall: They are meant as an accessory NOT as a
replacement for pants! The easiest way to pull of leggings is to have your outfit FIRST and the
leggings to the outfit. So, go through your closet and take a look at what you already have, and
which outfits would benefit by adding leggings to them. This will help stretch your summer
wardrobe into the fall without spending a lot of money. When looking at your outfits take note of
what colors are in your outfits. When shopping you will want to match the neutral colors in your
outfits to a neutral pair of leggings. Keep it neutral. Keep up with the current trend by keeping
your leggings black, dark brown or dark grey. Pairing black leggings with a mostly black dress
helps you look chic, longer, and leaner. If you go with bright leggings you might look like you ve
had them for a few decades, or be mistaken for wearing your high school daughter s pair. Do not
under any circumstances wear leggings with stirrups (the small band that slides under your foot to
keep them in place). This style is outdated. Your leggings should hit about mid calf. If you are taller
then they can be a little higher, but they shouldn t hit your knee. Please note that there is a
difference between leggings and footless tights/pantyhose! Footless pantyhose are very light and
sometimes see thru. Confusing the two could make for an embarrassing moment. Leggings are not
sold in the lingerie section. They are located with the other clothing, and usually near dresses or
long tunics. Clothing stores try to

In this case, there is a possibility that the financial statements released will dubious since they
might include outdated transactions. There are several barriers that come about with PayPal. A
PayPal classic is the arbitrary freezing of accounts. An account can become frozen fast whenever
there is an indication of any type of fraud. In this case, it implies that there is a possibility of
PayPal suffering immense losses if no risk assessment and mitigation is performed in a timely
manner.
Freezing the accounts should not be the only solution to fraudulent concerns. On the other hand,
freezing accounts gives them time to conduct investigations on potential troubles and correct fraud
in the name of protecting the buyer. PayPal s buyers and sellers have legal protection under the

The Rage Against The Machine
It was a time of long hair and stealth window escapes at the midnight hour; a time of skipping

lyrical poetic, militant, rap core metal form. It was unlike anything I had ever heard before: pure,

The Effects Of Stress On The Stress Of The World Stress
People all over the world stress about something every day. Stress can lead to many dangerous
health problems and can strain relationships with other people. People in the United States stress
over many of the same issues. I stress about school, work, family issues, and social life. School
causes me to stress more than any of the other issues. I attend college classes five days of the

started college and every week I receive many assignments and test. In most classes, test consist

order, to manage the stress that test cause me, I will need to use a proactive strategy to combat the
stress of the test. A proactive strategy is a strategy to cope with the stressor. Since, I cannot
eliminate the test I need to cope with them. A way to do that is to study the test material for thirty
minutes every night to ensure I know the material. Also, I stress over assignments. College
assignments differ from high school assignments. Professors expect more from your work than high
school teachers do, therefore it makes the assignment more stressful. I forget about the assignments

Bob Cratchit had a different perspective of life than scrooge. Bob tried to make everything

how bad it has become, depicting the situation, saying that Right here in Amsterdam every day

hindrance to their success and can cause their personal and career development to suffer. But the
key factor that will be focused regarding discrimination is women s struggles advancing in their
careers often called the glass ceiling effect. In this research, the term glass ceiling will be defined,

Surely, people want to know whether men or women are on top of these hierarchies. They also
want to know which ethnic groups hold these positions. Looking at the workforce, women and
minorities are struggling to advance in their careers. They are the ones who are mostly affected by
the glass ceiling. This gives Caucasian men the upper hand in their battles to reach top
management positions. In our organizations, men s experiences are assumed to be the norm, while
women s experiences are looked down upon. Women s experiences are considered beneath those of
men, narrowly categorized, or often times excluded altogether. We see more women positions in the
Administrative or Clerical fields and not so often in the Technical fields.
When compared to men, women are often left behind when it comes to advancement even if they
have the same educational background and work experiences. But the work place is now
changing. Women are shooting to the top of high tech companies, dot.com startups and Internet
favorites, with a speed that promises to permanently change the way we think about women, work
and power (Gerber, 2000). Despite women s advances in the workforce, they still strive to emerge
and grow out of male oppression and move to a higher social position where they belong.
This institutionalized gender discrimination affects both the private and the public sectors where
women are often the victims of this type of crime. Through observation it is concluded that we

Moon Phases
Have you ever doubted what creates the moon phases? It is known that its appearance evolves over
times. But why? The best method to understand the phases of the moon is to scrutinize the aspects
of astronomy.
First of all, we need to wipe out the most commonly held misconception about the moon s phases.
The typical reason given for the cause of the moon phases is that we are observing the shadow of
the Earth on the Moon! But it s not true. When the Moon goes through the shadow of the Earth, we
obtain a lunar eclipse. The reality is that the moon crosses through the Earth s shadow only
occasionally, so that can t be the reason of moon s phases.
The actual reason for the moon s phases focuses on two prime aspects: the moon has a round shape
... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This phase is known as full moon because it becomes fully illuminated by the sunlight. This is the
one and only period in an entire month when the Earth s shadow is anywhere next to the moon.
The shadow of the Earth directly points towards the moon at this time. But the moon moves above
or below the shade and no eclipse generates.
After one week, the moon has crossed another quarter of the path around the Earth. It remains in the
third quarter position at that time. And the sunlight directly falls on the other fraction of the visible
part of the moon.
Finally, after a week, the moon returns to the starting position, known as the new moon . Generally,
it moves above or below the sun, but it rarely arrives right in front of the sun, and we have an
eclipse of the sun.
So, it is prominent that the moon s phases are not produced by the shadow of the earth falling on
the moon. Actually, the shade of the Earth falls on the moon only for two times, when there are
lunar eclipses in a year.
There are apparently thousands of websites that reveal what creates the moon s phases. If you want
to know more about the changes of the moon s phases, you should definitely check out several

The Existence Of Crop Circles
Crop circles are strange shapes in crops that people believed where UFOs landed, or the work of
Earth s Power. There are many theories on the circles, but the only proven explanation is humans.
Crop circles are patterns that appear in fields. These crop circles are normally made by
flattening any crop. The most commonly flattened crop is cereal, but the crops have varied from
tobacco, wheat, barley, rice paddies, or even wild grass. Crop circles have happened so recently,
that they have become an everyday thing. There really isn t a true answer who made them. The
first reporting of a crop circle was in a small town near Tully, Australia. In 1966, a farmer claimed
to see a saucer lift up from that area and leave strange circles of flattened ... Show more content on

They claimed that they did most, but inspired other copycat pranks. While that ended some
theories people had, others didn t believe them. Crop circles have become more elaborate over
the years, so it s easy to tell hoaxers are getting better at their craft. Crop circles have come from
a mystic mystery, to an art. People are now being hired to make crop circles as advertisements
for big corporations, and get paid hundreds of thousands of dollars. It seems to be researchers
have stopped pondering why they are here and accepted them as the work of art they are. Crop
circles will most likely continue to pop up, and so will different theories. Although there are
some reasonable theories, many people will simply believe their idea on how crop circles are made.
One thing is for sure; they will be an art for years to

An Analysis Of Technology And Technology
As we get closer to 2018 we are excited about the new technologies and the roadmap ahead of us.
We, along with all the other groups in ATTD, continue to make adjustments to our resourcing
strategies to make sure we are well positioned for the future. There are some natural people
movements that take place every year and we are adjusting to that. We have also been looking at
our organization structure to see where we can be more efficient in our use of resources. This is
in keeping with Babak s message to all of ATTD in October on a New Way Forward. The following
organizational changes are along those veins. In the central Industrial Engineering organization

Analysis Of Rita Hayworth And The Shawshank Redemption
In Rita Hayworth and The Shawshank Redemption the prison acts as a microcosm reflecting the
structures of the capitalist society to what extent do you agree with this view?
One critic named Terry Eagleton, stated It is capitalism, not Marxism that trades in futures. This
quote alone suggests the extent of what capitalism is to some Marxist critiques and this one is
suggesting that the future is traded upon capitalism which relates to King s Rita Hayworth and the
Shawshank Redemption as the prison system does determine the future of inmates yet inside the
prison there is a capitalist structure. I will look at a plethora of characters in the novella and
explore how their roles in the prison are used to reflect capitalist society: Andy a bourgeoisie
socially but a proletariat politically, Red who goes under the system whom also, serves the
proletariat even though he is one himself and the warden that uses his role as the bourgeoisie for
corruption and power over the inmates. Despite the inmates being in a confined space and managed
by the outside world. It could be argued that the Shawshank prison is formulating a society of their
own.
Kings use of the character, Andy, is vague. As it could be argued that his role changes
throughout the novella. It could be said that there are many interpretations to where Andy s
character develops as he can be measured by his political and social class as we see done by the
prisoners and the wider society. Reiman wrote a book titled the rich get richer and the poor get
prison this pragmatically shows that those who are poor go to prison. However, this is not the
case with Andy due to the fact before he was in prison he was a successful banker so in fact he
was not poor, opposing the view, that Reiman is signifying. Somewhat suggesting that King is
stating that society could have an impact on any group of people regardless of what the
backgrounds are or the backgrounds of the individual. Andy was a banker before he came to the
Shawshank prison. In some lens he would be perceived as a bourgeoisie because of the class that
would have been in. However, from a political lens it would be evident that Andy could be a
proletariat for the ranks of the company that he had

An Emerging Information Security Threat
An emerging information security threat is the use of Ransomware by hackers. A recent
example occurred in 2012 when Russian hackers held the Miami Family Medical Centre in
Queensland to ransom after accessing their server remotely and running encryption software on
it, encrypting thousands of patient health records. The hackers encrypted the whole SQL
database, about 6500 files, by going through and searching for every doc, xls, txt, pdf, mdb, mdf
i.e. all of the standard data files. The hackers accessed the data through a Remote Desk Protocol
(RDP) port that was open and part of the standard Windows 2003 Small Business Server Premium
package. The hackers cracked the user and password restricted access.... Show more content on

The owners of the Medical Practice thought they had a good system in place, they had antivirus but
this was not a virus.
The hackers were very strategic in their attack. Quite apart from deliberately exploiting a
vulnerable flaw in the medical practice s IT security, they made sure the ransom they demanded
was not ridiculously high to maximise the chances of the victim s likelihood to pay. They chose a
medical practice probably because they thought doctors had money and a compelling motive to pay
the ransom.
Fortunately the owners had a partial back up of the data and while they didn t recover completely
they were eventually able to get back to business but only after a very long time.
In this case bringing the hackers to justice was impossible. IT security expert Nigel Phair, the
director of the Centre for Internet Safety and a former investigator with the Australian High Tech
Crime Centre, says the hackers are not easy to trace and international police investigations are
difficult. In a lot of those places law enforcement isn t that strong and so it s difficult to get
cooperation with local police. (http://www.abc.net.au/news/2012 12 10/hackers target gold coast
medical centre/4418676, Accessed 7 October 2014)
Mr Phair says this attack is a wake up call with businesses around Australia hacked five to ten times
a week. Cyber criminals based mainly throughout Eastern Europe look for rich targets with
identifying information

Priyanka Chopra Controversy
Priyanka Chopra s tank top for a magazine cover creates a storm on social media Celebrities are
like demi gods for fans. Anything they do, say, or wear is copied by their followers insanely.
Being a powerful figure and an icon for the people, they fail to realize that their act, words, or
attire may drag them into the centre of storm. Though they do so inadvertently, their conduct
becomes an issue for debate. Priyanka Chopra has become the hot topic of debate recently when
she shot for a cover page of a travel magazine, Conde Nast Traveller. Though the cover page is
not obscene, the reason of her being in the middle of the controversy is the top she is wearing
which has four words out of which Refugee, Immigrant, and Outsider, are struck off in red,
whereas Traveller is intact and clear. As soon as the magazine was out, there was a huge uproar on
social media. Many Twitteratis found it insensitive and reckoned that nobody becomes a refugee
out of choice. While Priyanka has not given any explanation on her top, the magazine spokesperson
came forward and clarified that the wordings on the top has been interpreted wrongly and their
intention has not reach to the people. They gave this statement in defense of the controversial top,

Boys And Girls Munro
Mother Versus Father: A Thematic Analysis of Boys and Girls Alice Munro developed the
theme Be yourself, and do not let others change that in her short story, Boys and Girls with the
use of characters and the setting. At the beginning, the narrator sees herself as a daddy s girl who
enjoys helping out on the farm, but as the story continues she is shaped into a character more like
her mother. Together, Munro s characters and the setting of the story influence the theme in a
variety of ways. The narrator influenced the theme as she was being shaped into a person she did
not want to be. Her mother continuously pushed her to be less like a tomboy and more like a
typical girl. The narrator viewed the word girl as something she had to... Show more content on

women belonged in the house, just like the rest of the society in the early 1900s. The narrator s

she discussed how Laird was getting older. The mother was against the idea of women helping
out with a man s job, such as working in the barn or helping out with the pelting operation, for she
was plotting now to get me to stay in the house more, although she knew I hated it (5). The mother
showed both irritation and displeasure due to her daughter always running off when she asked for
help in the house, she said, I just get my back turned and she runs off. It s not like I had a girl in the
family at all (5). Along with direct characterization, Munro released small hints about the mother s
emotions through her daughter s dialogue and thoughts. The girl did not realize that [her mother]
could be lonely, or jealous (5). Additionally, when the mother walked into the barn she looked out
of place (4). This statement used the character s actions to show how the mother disliked
participating in outdoor responsibilities. Overall, the mother felt disrespected and she wanted her

Similarities Between The Flood And The Epic Of Gilgamesh
The Flood Narrative (Genesis 6 9) and the Epic of Gilgamesh, Tablet XI have certain parallels that
are undeniable, yet many noticeable differences. The parallels are strange yet oddly common in any
flood narrative and the differences often lie behind the reasons, responses, and decisions made by
the main characters. In both texts, each of the main characters, Noahand Uta napishti, were ordered
to build an ark or a boat due to an incoming flood. In Genesis, Godtells Noah, Make yourself an ark
of cypress wood, make rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and out with pitch (Genesis 6:14).
Noah obeys God s orders and indeed builds an ark. In the Epic of Gilgamesh, Uta napishti is told by
God Ea, O man of Shuruppak, son of Ubar Tutu, demolish the house and build a boat! Abandon
wealth, and seek survival (Gilgamesh, XI, 23 25). Uta napishti knew his life was on the line and
followed his orders as well. In both texts, the men are warned that flood will be coming and are
given instructions on how to survive. Naturally, if anyone was told a massive flood was coming,
one of the first ideas should be to build some type of shelter. However, the details of how the ark
/boat was to be built were remarkably different. In Genesis, God gives Noah specific directions:
...the length of the ark three hundred cubits, its width fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits...make
it with lower, second, and third decks (Genesis 6:15). The ark was designed to be rectangular with
three decks

Jacob Kounin s Discipline And Group Management In Classroom
First, Elearn Portal,(2016) post the Kounin Mode theory of Jacob Kounin. He is recognized for two
studies concerning classroom management in the 1970 s. These readings emphasized how teachers
could manage students, lessons and classrooms to reduce the incidence of bad behaviour. This
theorist acknowledged definite teaching techniques that help, and hinder, classroom discipline.
Bestowing to Kounin, the method used, not the teacher s personality, is the most crucial aspect in
classroom managementof student behaviour. The title of his book is Discipline and Group
Management in Classrooms which centres on preventive discipline. He says that, good classroom
management depends on operative lessonmanagement. He also acknowledged a group of proactive
teacher behaviours that famed effective classroom managers from ineffective ones. These are;
ripple effect, wittiness, overlapping, effective transitions, momentum, smoothness and class
management. (Higgins, 2014)

Firstly, the lab was done within a period of 75 minutes. Time efficiency was a factor that could
have been more accurate when creating competent cells. Competent cells are able to take in extra
foreign DNA. The procedure involved timing for series of events. Events such as: both tubes on
the ice for 10 minutes, both tubes in the bath for 50 seconds, both tubes on ice for 2 minutes and
both tubes at room temperature for 10 minutes. All of these events could have been done with
greater precision. Some of the tubes may have been exposed to their given environment over or
under the necessary time frame. A source of error is that the ice blocks were not consistent. The
procedure asked for crushed ice and ice cubes were used in the experiment. This could have had
an effect on the temperature needed for the creation of competent cells. On the other hand, an
improvement that could be made is pipetting. 0.25mL of CaCl2 solution was put into both tubes
using an open pipette. But, it was possible for a mistake to occur with the chance of air bubbles
or imprecision to the required amount. This would affect the amount of the CaCl2 solution that
was needed by under or over pipetting into each of the two test tubes. Lastly, a source of error
may be how spread the substances were amongst the plate. The greater the distance spread around
the surface of the plate, the possibility of more growth and less bacterial lawns formed on the four

The Interaction of Glucose and Exercise The objective of this study was to see whether or not
exercise has an influence on glucose levels; If it does, then how much does it affect the levels?
What is the reason that outcome came about? These are just some of the questions that this study
hoped to provoke and shed some light on. Before beginning the experiment, a literature review

outcome. Several studies were research, and it was cited how exercise can be used to help

obtaining a baseline test, Вѕ cup of oatmeal with 2T brown sugar and 1T of butter was eaten for
breakfast. Coffee with approximately 2t of half and half was drank at the same time. Breakfast
was done being consumed between 8:40AM 8:50AM. Blood glucose levels were then tested
two hours after breakfast, which fell between 10:40 10:50AM. Again, this exact schedule was
followed for each day a baseline was formed. The graph above illustrates the daily baselines and
changes. The preprandial average blood glucose level was 95 mg/dL . Postprandial, the average
blood glucose level was 109 mg/dL. On an average, the rate of change between the preprandial
levels and the postprandial levels was 14 mg/dL. This is a normal baseline for someone who
doesn t have diabetes or any other impairment of the pancreas (Joslin, 2007). For the second step
of the experiment, the same procedure as above was repeated. Except, before eating, twenty

It is a phase in the life cycle of an industry when companies move beyond the startup phase into a phase of increased competition for market share. • 6. Analysis Of The Poem Judith Of Bethulia ( Brine, Ciletti... INTRODUCTION The poem Judith illustrates the executing of Assyrian general Holofernes by Judith of Bethulia (Brine, Ciletti and LГ¤hnemann 86). The poem looks at Judith as a woman of morals, courage, and religious conviction, and her character is portrayed as virtuous and blameless. Judith returns victorious to her city after killing the mortal enemy, and her people proceed to win the battle against their foes (Brine, Ciletti and LГ¤hnemann 86). Thus, the poet gives an opportunity to witness the efforts of the poet trying to fit a female into a setting of men in the society. The poem majorly focuses on heroism and the main styles are looked at with respect to themes within Judith poem. Judith s beauty is adored and symbolized throughout ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Though giving Judith the military role may be a deliberate choice by the poet. The clearest indicator of the poet to portray Judith as a military leader is his use of contrast. The poet depicts Holofernes as the epitome of evil. In contrast, Judith is depicted as pure goodness (Brine, Ciletti and LГ¤hnemann 98). Therefore, the two characters directly oppose each other. The two groups represented by Holofernes and Judith, the Assyrians and Bethulians are also contrasted via a clever use of traditional heroic language. It is natural to see Judith as everything that a commander needs to be. For instance, on the night preceding the battle between the Bethulians and Assyrians, Holofernes calls the senior soldiers of his army to a feast. Certainly, Holofernes does not know that the Bethulians will attack the following day, but a military commander probably would not allow all of his soldiers to be made drunk (Brine, Ciletti and LГ¤hnemann 100). In the same instance, the poet refers to Judith s battle is fought on a bed against an unconscious man and not on the battlefield. Is Judith act is not heroic as Holofernes passes out after drinking too much. She does not kill Holofernes in the heat of battle, but rather in a quite cold blooded fashion. Judith s actions are very personalized and private, in contrast to male heroes. The poet stresses the secretive environment of Holofernes s tent and bed. The ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Italy is not the same anymore. The villainous German regime ended four years ago and that s when the Holocaust for ever changed my life. Scampering up the dark alleyway, a rotten, stagnant stench of flesh suddenly snaked its way towards us; he had no idea. We approached the back of the gas chambers, stuck between a barbed wire fence and solidified wall, our only way was forward. Chilling, thick clouds of fog started to sway our direction and helped mask us from German soldiers. Faint voices were heard deep further, but we couldn t identify a thing. The fog slowly receded in the strong gust of wind and what I saw next plunged riddling fear deep down into my heart. The daunting scene exposed to my eyes startled me; I never wanted to eradicate a scene from my consciousness so promptly. Endless pits of ravaged Jewish bodies towered over us and tormenting aromas struck my nostrils. Perpetual confusion grasped my body as I became frozen in fear. Batel quickly tackled me to the ground as German soldiers disposing corpses came unquestionably close. I relinquished my sorrowful agony and focused on the task as it intensified. Increased patrols of German soldiers approached this way and before they could get any closer, we sprinted behind a shed. The open area was enclosed by barbed wire fences and I quickly had to rethink my plan. A direct pathway towards the offices appeared and we decided to follow them back. Our society has the laid back lifestyle of the Greeks and the physical fitness of the Romans. Statistics show 45 percent of Americans set a goal every year to achieve weight loss/fitness. Of that 45 percent, and just under half of Americans still maintain their New Year s Resolution (Hub Pages). The question is why is weight loss so important in America? Yohimbine is also similar to ephedra; it can have a significant effect on body fat but does pose negative side effects (Case Watch). It s important to keep in mind that these are just two examples of supplements used for weight loss that may pose harm, but not all are as dangerous. Some common supplements that are constantly seen in magazines, commercials, and on the internet are Hydroxycut, Trim spa, and Lipo Six. These pills are suggested to be used in conjunction of a healthy diet and proper workout programs in order to be effective. The marketing of these products makes them attractive towards consumers who are athletes and people who want to have better appearance. In most ads you will notice a ripped bodybuilder or woman who trained with product. This technique is used to help enhance the image of the product. In addition some advertisements show before and after photos from real people who took supplements. Some of the stories we read were such classics as: Twelfth Night, The Lull, Handful of Dust, and the Unrest Cure. Each of these stories are brilliant and amusing in its own ways. These stories also have a likeness in the types of humorpracticed. There are several elements that seem to be repeated throughout such as: satire, characters that represent the spirit of comedyor its enemy, and In Saki s The Unrest Cure , we read about Mr. James P. Huddle and his extreme affection for habit. We are initially introduced to Mr. Huddle on a train heading home, having a conversation with his travelling companion about trivial and tiresome topics, such as flowers and measles. Huddle is bemoaning the perpetual rut that both he and his sibling seem to be all too comfortable existing in. After which his acquaintance suggests he try an Unrest Cure . Uninterested in both Mr. Huddle and his conversation up until this point is Mr. Clovis, intrigued by the prospect of an unrest cure decides to jot down the address of Mr. Huddle./The chaos begins to unravel with the telegram sent by Mr. Clovis to Mr. Huddle, announcing that a Bishop will be staying at the Huddle s estate for a brief period. Suicide And Suicide While awareness of suicide and its rippling effect on the community is increasing, much of the research into the psychological impact of those exposed to death by suicide has been focused on adults. Which is why top academic and suicide postvention expert, Karl Andriessen has focused his PhD project at the University of New South Wales, on investigating the grief, mental health and help seeking experiences of adolescents who have lost a loved one through suicide. The study, supported by the Anika Foundation for Adolescent Depression and Suicide, identifies the adolescents experiences, which may be specific for this age group, to determine whether they require specific attention from caregivers or health professionals. It is well known that exposure to suicide and bereavement after suicide is a risk factor for adverse outcomes related to health, mental health and social functioning, says Mr Andriessen. We started this research project because most of the research has been focused on the adult population, not on the younger age groups. Hence, little is known about their grief and mental experiences, and their needs for support. The study aims to redress that gap in our knowledge. Marx shared is opinions on capitalism and his views of the progression of human society in his writing, The Communist Manifesto which he wrote with Friedrich Engles and published in 1848. Marx believed in the idea of a society with no capitalism and the abolition of the bourgeoisie. Adam Smith wrote a book called The Wealth of Nations which was published in 1776. In his book he tells the reader what helps to build the economy of a nation and essentially advocates for capitalism. Andrew Carnegie was a self made multimillionaire who gained his wealth by investing in the railroads. In 1889 he wrote an article titled The Gospel of Wealth in which he discusses the duty of the upper class to distribute their surplus wealth to those in need. All three of these men were influential in their works and ways of life, but all three had extremely different opinions on capitalism. Karl Marx s viewed capitalism as something that was negative for our society, but that would eventually become a positive. Because of capitalism, the bourgeoisie (upper and middle class) would often oppress the proletarians (working class). When shopping you will want to match the neutral colors in your outfits to a neutral pair of leggings. Keep it neutral. Keep up with the current trend by keeping your leggings black, dark brown or dark grey. Pairing black leggings with a mostly black dress helps you look chic, longer, and leaner. If you go with bright leggings you might look like you ve had them for a few decades, or be mistaken for wearing your high school daughter s pair. Do not under any circumstances wear leggings with stirrups (the small band that slides under your foot to keep them in place). This style is outdated. Your leggings should hit about mid calf. If you are taller then they can be a little higher, but they shouldn t hit your knee. Please note that there is a difference between leggings and footless tights/pantyhose! Footless pantyhose are very light and sometimes see thru. Confusing the two could make for an embarrassing moment. Leggings are not sold in the lingerie section. In this case, it implies that there is a possibility of PayPal suffering immense losses if no risk assessment and mitigation is performed in a timely manner. The best method to understand the phases of the moon is to scrutinize the aspects of astronomy. First of all, we need to wipe out the most commonly held misconception about the moon s phases. The typical reason given for the cause of the moon phases is that we are observing the shadow of the Earth on the Moon! But it s not true. When the Moon goes through the shadow of the Earth, we obtain a lunar eclipse. The reality is that the moon crosses through the Earth s shadow only occasionally, so that can t be the reason of moon s phases. The actual reason for the moon s phases focuses on two prime aspects: the moon has a round shape ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This phase is known as full moon because it becomes fully illuminated by the sunlight. This is the one and only period in an entire month when the Earth s shadow is anywhere next to the moon. The shadow of the Earth directly points towards the moon at this time. But the moon moves above or below the shade and no eclipse generates. After one week, the moon has crossed another quarter of the path around the Earth. It remains in the third quarter position at that time. And the sunlight directly falls on the other fraction of the visible part of the moon. Finally, after a week, the moon returns to the starting position, known as the new moon . Generally, it moves above or below the sun, but it rarely arrives right in front of the sun, and we have an eclipse of the sun. So, it is prominent that the moon s phases are not produced by the shadow of the earth falling on the moon. • 45. Analysis Of Rita Hayworth And The Shawshank Redemption In Rita Hayworth and The Shawshank Redemption the prison acts as a microcosm reflecting the structures of the capitalist society to what extent do you agree with this view? One critic named Terry Eagleton, stated It is capitalism, not Marxism that trades in futures. This quote alone suggests the extent of what capitalism is to some Marxist critiques and this one is suggesting that the future is traded upon capitalism which relates to King s Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption as the prison system does determine the future of inmates yet inside the prison there is a capitalist structure. I will look at a plethora of characters in the novella and explore how their roles in the prison are used to reflect capitalist society: Andy a bourgeoisie socially but a proletariat politically, Red who goes under the system whom also, serves the proletariat even though he is one himself and the warden that uses his role as the bourgeoisie for corruption and power over the inmates. Despite the inmates being in a confined space and managed by the outside world. It could be argued that the Shawshank prison is formulating a society of their own. Kings use of the character, Andy, is vague. As it could be argued that his role changes throughout the novella. It could be said that there are many interpretations to where Andy s character develops as he can be measured by his political and social class as we see done by the prisoners and the wider society. Reiman wrote a book titled the rich get richer and the poor get prison this pragmatically shows that those who are poor go to prison. However, this is not the case with Andy due to the fact before he was in prison he was a successful banker so in fact he was not poor, opposing the view, that Reiman is signifying. Somewhat suggesting that King is stating that society could have an impact on any group of people regardless of what the backgrounds are or the backgrounds of the individual. Andy was a banker before he came to the Shawshank prison. In some lens he would be perceived as a bourgeoisie because of the class that would have been in. The owners of the Medical Practice thought they had a good system in place, they had antivirus but this was not a virus. The hackers were very strategic in their attack. Quite apart from deliberately exploiting a vulnerable flaw in the medical practice s IT security, they made sure the ransom they demanded was not ridiculously high to maximise the chances of the victim s likelihood to pay. They chose a medical practice probably because they thought doctors had money and a compelling motive to pay the ransom. In both texts, each of the main characters, Noahand Uta napishti, were ordered to build an ark or a boat due to an incoming flood. In Genesis, Godtells Noah, Make yourself an ark of cypress wood, make rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and out with pitch (Genesis 6:14). Noah obeys God s orders and indeed builds an ark. He is recognized for two studies concerning classroom management in the 1970 s. These readings emphasized how teachers could manage students, lessons and classrooms to reduce the incidence of bad behaviour. This theorist acknowledged definite teaching techniques that help, and hinder, classroom discipline. Bestowing to Kounin, the method used, not the teacher s personality, is the most crucial aspect in classroom managementof student behaviour. The title of his book is Discipline and Group Management in Classrooms which centres on preventive discipline. He says that, good classroom management depends on operative lessonmanagement. He also acknowledged a group of proactive teacher behaviours that famed effective classroom managers from ineffective ones. These are; ripple effect, wittiness, overlapping, effective transitions, momentum, smoothness and class management. (Higgins, 2014) First, ripple effect conferring to; when a teacher amends the misbehaviour in one individual pupil, often this surely influences the behaviour of other nearby pupils. This management practice states to the teacher s ability to manage smooth transitions between learning activities. The valuable instructional time is often wasted in the process of the teacher moving the class from one instructional activity to the next. Smoothness then states to the teacher s ability to preserve instructional time by eliminating many of the common barriers to a smooth class transition. The last that was coined by Kounin is group alerting, this is the winning the attention of the whole class while individuals are responding. It is a technique to keep the entire class involved in the learning process so that pupils are, potentially, active participants at all ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 52. Two Control Plates Lab Report The two control plates LB AMP PGLO and LB AMP+PGLO (refer to Figure 3.0 and Figure 4.0) include a nutrient causing growth and the antibiotic, ampicillin, with or without the plasmid DNA. The purpose of the two is to provide a determination of the LB AMP ARA+PGLO and whether or not, the plasmid has an effect with the sugar. In addition, the two controls show that plasmid, pGLO, can affect the growth of bacteriawith the consideration of ampicillin. As well, the two control plates prove that the results of the LB AMP ARA+PGLO and the LB PGLO plate can be reliable knowing that they have been under the same conditions of the incubator as the control plates. Green Fluorescent Protein acts as the biological molecule for the fluorescence. In fact,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Firstly, the lab was done within a period of 75 minutes. Time efficiency was a factor that could have been more accurate when creating competent cells. Competent cells are able to take in extra foreign DNA. The procedure involved timing for series of events. Events such as: both tubes on the ice for 10 minutes, both tubes in the bath for 50 seconds, both tubes on ice for 2 minutes and both tubes at room temperature for 10 minutes. All of these events could have been done with greater precision. Some of the tubes may have been exposed to their given environment over or under the necessary time frame. A source of error is that the ice blocks were not consistent. The procedure asked for crushed ice and ice cubes were used in the experiment. This could have had an effect on the temperature needed for the creation of competent cells. On the other hand, an improvement that could be made is pipetting. 0.25mL of CaCl2 solution was put into both tubes using an open pipette. But, it was possible for a mistake to occur with the chance of air bubbles or imprecision to the required amount. This would affect the amount of the CaCl2 solution that was needed by under or over pipetting into each of the two test tubes. Lastly, a source of error may be how spread the substances were amongst the plate. The greater the distance spread around the surface of the plate, the possibility of more growth and less bacterial lawns formed on the four ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 54. The Interaction Of Glucose And Exercise. The Objective The Interaction of Glucose and Exercise The objective of this study was to see whether or not exercise has an influence on glucose levels; If it does, then how much does it affect the levels? What is the reason that outcome came about? These are just some of the questions that this study hoped to provoke and shed some light on. Before beginning the experiment, a literature review was conducted in order to gain familiarity with the topic and to build an expectation for the outcome. Several studies were research, and it was cited how exercise can be used to help regulate glucose in people with diabetes. The first study found that 2 3 minutes of maximum exertion over 20 minutes of interval training can keep blood glucose levels lower... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... All glucose levels in this experiment were obtained using a ReliOn Prime glucose meter and the corresponding strips. The initial baselines were taken before eating breakfast and before drinking any juice, coffee, milk, or water. Time of measurement ranged from 8:00AM 8:20 AM. After obtaining a baseline test, Вѕ cup of oatmeal with 2T brown sugar and 1T of butter was eaten for breakfast. Coffee with approximately 2t of half and half was drank at the same time. Breakfast was done being consumed between 8:40AM 8:50AM. Blood glucose levels were then tested two hours after breakfast, which fell between 10:40 10:50AM. Again, this exact schedule was followed for each day a baseline was formed. The graph above illustrates the daily baselines and changes. The preprandial average blood glucose level was 95 mg/dL . Postprandial, the average blood glucose level was 109 mg/dL. On an average, the rate of change between the preprandial levels and the postprandial levels was 14 mg/dL. This is a normal baseline for someone who doesn t have diabetes or any other impairment of the pancreas (Joslin, 2007). For the second step of the experiment, the same procedure as above was repeated. Except, before eating, twenty minutes of light exercise ( LE ) was performed. Glucose levels were taken before, ten minutes through, and after the twenty minutes was reached. Light exercise can vary from arm curls, brisk walking, jogging, or walking stairs.
