the birth of guide dogs and their very first training and talked about this for the first
five minutes; then transitioned to talking about the ADA s guidelines and sharing
his negative bias on certain businesses such as airports. Don also did not share any
history about guide dogs only information about the ADA and its guidelines with
businesses. Don also tends to change his tone when he is talking about a particular
situation that he is not fond of. Don has some strong points and is very
knowledgeable about ADA policies, also Don is a handler and has been to schools
with his guide dogs and received first hand experience and training just like Jane.
Dons has many weak point showing too much bias, he never chose a topic to begin
with, he uses too many personal experiences, and Don does not express a positive
and mutual attitude throughout his entire speech. One small thing I did notice is that

A few hours into conversation with the Buddhist nun was still not enough to grasp
and comprehend every teaching of the Buddha. She just came to America and the
dialogue was strictly in Vietnamese. I had a hard time trying to understand

The JROTC program at Blackman High School consists of students from freshmen to

Through these conversations, cadets are likely to use JROTC jargon and terms that
are unique to the program. From acronyms such as LET (Leadership Education
Training) to phrases such as double time (to run instead of walk), JROTC s own
literacy is vital to effectively communicate in a brief amount of time.
I investigated how cadets communication evolved while they were in JROTC and

a trophic cascade occured. As a marine biologist I want to be able to prevent events
like these in all areas of the world. If a full trophic cascade had occurred in the
Chesapeake Bay we would not have recovered for many years. Not only would we
have lost a vital staple in our ecosystem but the local economy would have

Effect Of Myopia On Measuring Peripapillary Retinal Nerve Fiber Layer Thickness
ABSTRACT
Settings: Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University, Egypt.
Purpose: To assess the influence of axial length (AL) and refractive status of the eye
on retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) thickness in myopic eyes measured by spectral
domain optical coherence tomography (OCT).
Methods: This study included 60 eyes of 60 healthy myopic individuals. Patients
with a history of glaucoma or any other concurrent ocular disease were excluded.
The peripapillary RNFL thickness was measured using a Spectralis OCT
(Heidelberg Engineering, Heidelberg, Germany). An average of 3 good quality scans
was used to get the thickness of the RNFL.
Results: The uncorrected inferior RNFL thickness showed the highest correlation
with AL (r = 0.81, r2 = 0.66, p 21 mm Hg in either eye; those with a history of ocular
trauma, intraocular or refractive surgery, or any ocular or neurologic disease that
could have affected the optic nerve head or RNFL or could cause a visual
disturbance; those who showed a closed or occludable angle by gonioscopy; and
those whose RNFL or optic discs indicated an RNFL defect or a disc anomaly by
fundus examination. The pupils of the eyes of the included subjects were
pharmacologically dilated. The eyes were then scanned by the same operator with
the Spectralis OCT system (Heidelberg Engineering, Heidelberg, Germany). The
software used was Heidelberg Eye Explorer version 1.6.4.0
