1. Compare And Contrast Essay Topic
Writing a compare and contrast essay can be a challenging task that requires careful analysis,
critical thinking, and effective organization of ideas. The difficulty lies in the need to examine
two or more subjects, identifying both their similarities and differences, and presenting a
cohesive and well-structured argument.
One of the initial challenges is selecting appropriate subjects for comparison. The topics chosen
should have enough similarities and differences to provide a rich and meaningful analysis. Once
the subjects are chosen, the writer must delve into extensive research to gather relevant
information, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of each topic.
The process of brainstorming and outlining comes next, requiring a thoughtful approach to
highlight key points and organize the essay logically. Crafting a strong thesis statement that
encapsulates the main argument of the essay is crucial, as it serves as a roadmap for the reader to
navigate through the comparative analysis.
Developing each paragraph becomes a delicate balancing act. Each point of comparison or
contrast needs to be explored thoroughly, supported by evidence and examples. The writer must
maintain a coherent flow between paragraphs, ensuring that the essay progresses smoothly and
the reader can follow the line of reasoning.
Additionally, transitioning between the comparison and contrast of different aspects can be
challenging. Effective transitions are vital to guide the reader from one idea to another
seamlessly. This requires a keen understanding of the relationships between the chosen subjects
and the ability to articulate those connections clearly.
Editing and revising play a significant role in refining the essay. Ensuring that each sentence is
clear, concise, and contributes to the overall coherence of the essay demands attention to detail.
The writer must also check for grammatical errors, structural issues, and consistency in tone and
style.
In conclusion, writing a compare and contrast essay involves a complex process that requires
careful planning, thorough research, and meticulous attention to detail. Successfully navigating
through these challenges results in a well-crafted essay that provides insightful analysis and
engages the reader in a meaningful exploration of the chosen subjects.

2. What Is The Reasons For Human Resource Planning
2.1 Explain the reasons for HR planning in the organization. What is Human
Resource Planning? Human Resource planning is a systematic analysis of HR
needs in order to ensure that correct number of employees with the necessary skills
are available when they are required. These are the reason for HRP in an
organization. First and foremost, recruitment and selection can assume a vital role in
deciding an organization s viability and execution, if organizations are able to obtain
employees who already possess appropriate knowledge, skills and talents and are
additionally ready to make a right figure about their future capacities. The recruitment
and selection of employees is basic to the performance of an organization, and there
are convincing reasons for getting it right. Inappropriate selection decisions decrease
organizational effectiveness, cancels reward and development strategies, are often
unfair on the individual recruit and can be difficult for managers who have to deal
with unsuitable employees . (Anon, 2016)... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Thus, HR professionals work intimately with employing supervisors to impact great
contracting choices, according to the organization s workforce needs. They give
direction to managers who aren t familiar with HR or standard hiring processes to
guarantee that the organization stretches out offers to reasonable hopefuls. Last but
not the least, we can see that HRP is very important to a company when recruitment.

3. Milton Friedman Analysis
Who should benefit, and at whose expense when running a business? Milton
Friedman maintains that profit is the only true goal, benefitting the stockholders.
However, R. Edward Freeman proposes that the needs of all a business s stakeholders
must be balanced when acting. I support Freeman s view because the environment
has changed since the time of Friedman.
Milton Friedman believes the idea of businesses having some sort of responsibility
to society is a baseless notion, and describes discussions encouraging it as lacking
meaningful analysis or precision. What does it mean to say that business has
responsibilities? Only people can have responsibilities (Friedman, p.218)1.
Corporations are led by executives which are chosen by the owners ... Show more

Maintaining an archaic business model would be foolish. Friedman argues that an
executive should not take profits away from the company to donate to the poor due
to his own responsibilities. He then uses this to state that business should never
perform any sort of act benevolent to society if it would not further the pursuit of
profits. Unfortunately for Freidman s point of view, the blind pursuit of profits is
more often viewed as wicked and immoral (Friedman, p.222). Government
regulation is much more prevalent. Focusing on profits in today s market would
soon lead your business on a sharp decline. Moving from solely focusing on the duty
to stockholders, Freeman suggests treating all stakeholders of a business as more
than a means to an end (Freeman, p.233). This can also benefit the stockholders, as
by focusing solely on increasing profits, firms can often incur the wrath of
government, forcing their hand, much like with the separation of AT T into eight
separate companies (Freeman, p.234). Stockholders are the primary beneficiary of
corporation, and their money should not be spent frivolously, but it would be
difficult to turn a profit if your suppliers, employees and customers all desert you.
Each group of stakeholders has their own desires, which must be weighed and
considered, for should one leg of business fall, the entire firm will come tumbling to
the ground.
The view that profit is the only responsibility for corporations is outdated. Friedman
s argument may have been valid in the past, but no longer applies. Regulation and
law have increased the influence of other stakeholders. To ignore that fact would be
corporate
4. Mother To Son By Langston Hughes Meaning
There is no mystery in Mother to Son as to who is speaking to whom. In fact, the
title of the poem alone provides all of the exposition needed to understand that this
piece is set up as a mother s advice to her son. Presumably, this poem represents the
advice that Langston Hughes may have received from his own mother. The imagery
of a staircase opens up the work, which begins, Well, son, I ll tell you: / Life for me
ain t been no crystal stair (Hughes 1 2). Line two, in particular, immediately conjures
several associations in the mind of the reader. First, many audiences will be familiar
with the concept of a stairway to heaven, as such a proverbial structure is mentioned
often through world history in works such as the Bible and other... Show more content

It s had tacks in it, / And splinters, / And boards torn up, / And places with no carpet
on the floor / Bare (Hughes 3 7). Clearly, this woman s life has been difficult. More
than that, by using imagery of tacks, splinters, and torn up boards, the mother is
telling her son that at times her life has been outright dangerous. It is no mistake
that Hughes chooses to use images of objects that can easily do physical harm.
Lines three through seven confirm that the mother s life journey has been more
than hard; indeed, it has been perilous. However, as the poem continues, mother
tells son that she has always managed to advance in spite of the obstacles on her
particular staircase. But all the time / I se been a climbin on, / And reachin landin
s, / And turnin corners, / And sometimes goin in the dark / Where there ain t been
no light (Hughes 8 13). During these lines, the tone of the poem slowly turns from
hopeless to hopeful. True, the mother s life has been dangerous a fraught with
obstacles, and yet she has thus far overcome each one of her challenges. The
phrases, reachin landin s and turnin corners instill a sense of success in the mind of
the reader, as both are common colloquial sayings that reflect a reprieve from
hardship or a change for the better. Even through the darkness, still the mother climbs
on. In other words, though she is at times unsure of her current position, she never
loses sight of her
5. The Horror Of The Zombie
Without question, in today s society the most favored monster in pop culture is the
modern day zombie. The symbolic nature of zombies alone, is the reason that the
undead are the most successful in movies today. From these monsters creating a state
of war to confiscating humanity s normal everyday life. These movies show us the
result of an unknown situation; How will human beings react to an end of time
apocalypse scenario? Beginning with the Haitian zombiein the 1930 s, the zombie has
evolved to its modern state alongside the psychological state of society.
Zombies originated in Haiti from a belief that witch doctors could create a hypnotic
slave through magic, a potion, or hypnosis (Lockhurst). The zombie first appeared
in White Zombie, a cinematic venture from an independent film company in 1932.
The result of this movie consisted of insulting reviews even from a modern day
critic, Matt Bruson, who said, The supporting cast is awful and the low budget
dictates a few moments worthy of MST3K ribbing. But the atmosphere of dread is
pungent, the use of sound is inspired, and the makeup by the great Jack Pierce and
Carl Axcelle is minimal but effective ( White). The box office produced different
results than predicted by the critics.
Critics did not help advertise the film White Zombie, but the viewers didn t seem to
care. Upon release, the movie sold a record of 16,728 tickets in Cleveland, Ohio
alone, which was considered a high grossing film in its time

nature of his work raised many questions about the undue stress it caused to

Investigators can use a variety of equipment to search for someone online, find out if
they re in prison, learn where they live and if they re married or put them under
surveillance. If the catfisher has committed fraud or identity theft, the private
investigator can turn that information over to the police who will conduct their own
investigation that can lead to the person being arrested.
The investigator will use a variety of tools to learn all the information they can about
the fraudster including monitoring systems and in person surveillance using spy
glasses or spy cams. The lengths that the investigators goes to will depend on the
client s desires.
It s unfortunate when a person believes they re meeting someone online and feels an
incredible connection with them only to find out that they re lying. It s better to
know the truth than to be deceived. A private investigator can find out more about

9. Analysis Of A Valediction Forbidding Mourning By John
Donne
John Donne and his songs and sonnets were 19 different poems and songs. The one
that stuck out and was enjoyable to me was A Valediction: Forbidding Mourning .
Donne wrote about a man that had to go away. During the time it was written,
Donne was supposed to be going to the Continent but there is no proof of it. It is
said that the poem is written for Donne s wife. It brings out the Romanticism of that
time and also the pain that comes with it. He finds a common marker between the
two and describes how nothing will be able to break them apart.
John Donne was known for being the one that started the use of metaphysical conceit.
A metaphysical conceit is when an analogy is used between one entity s spiritual
qualities and an object in the physical world and sometimes controls the whole
structure of the poem. Donne does this throughout the whole poem. He was called the
founder of the Metaphysical Poets . The
Metaphysical Poets are known for their ability to startle the reader and coax new
perspective through paradoxical images, subtle argument, inventive syntax, and
imagery from art, philosophy, and religion using an extended metaphor known
conceit (https://www.poets.org/poetsorg/poet/john donne). Donne was a master of
thinking outside of the box and combining like things that you would never think to
even use to make a simile
Donne begins the poem with As virtuous men pass mildly away, And whisper to
their souls to go, Whilst some of their sad friends do say, The breath

A little boy is in the car with his mother and they drive past a store called Puppies .
The little boy begs his mother to go to the store so he can see the cute and fluffy
puppies. The mother pulls up to store and takes her son inside just to look . The
little boy finds one puppy that he absolutely loves and he begs his mother to get the
dog. The mother says no but once she holds the puppy, she falls in love and
decided to buy the puppy. Fortunately for that puppy, it grows up and lives happily
ever after with its new family. Little does the family know where that cute puppy
came from and how good of a life their puppy will live. Puppy mills are cruel, large

So we should treat all dogs like they are our best friends. We shouldn t allow the
abuse of dogs in puppy mills in our country. Dogs in puppy mills are physically and
mentally abused on a daily basis in puppy mills. Confining humans into small
rooms in which the sit in their urine and feces is abuse and illegal. It can land
someone in prison for years. Confining dogs in small cages in which they sit in
their own feces is abuse and is illegal in some states. Unfortunately, it can only land
the breeder with a fine and the breeder can continue to abuse the dogs. There aren t
any stories about women being forced to have babies back to back until they can t
produce anymore and then they are either killed or left for dead. There aren t any
stories on this because it s slavery and is illegal. Swap out the women in this story
and put in female dogs. It s now no longer considered slavery and is legal. The
United states allows puppy mills to still stand tall in our country. It is shameful
that these inhumane puppy mills get away with so much abuse. The USDA has
implemented laws against puppy mills but don t enforce the laws with stronger
consequences. So puppy mills just pay fines on abusing their dogs. The fact that
the laws don t help shows that we need a bigger solution. The United States needs
to ban puppy mills for the abuse they inflicted on dogs. All dogs deserve to have
freedom to run around, socialize, and play. Dogs are not our slaves. They are
11. Department Of Finance And Accounting
Introduction Department of Finance and Accounting?s mission is to lead the
Department of Defense in finance accounting by ensuring the delivery of efficient,
exceptional quality pay compensation service and financial information (Defense
Finance,2015). The way in which accounting technicians and managers are
compensated is an important aspect of the organization, for ensuring that payments
will be issued out to the vendors promptly. ?Education is an important driver of
earnings, and state government employees have higher average educational
attainment than private sector workers? (Biggs Richwine, 2014 p.6). The
employees are a graded series five at step 1. The compensation pay for a graded series
5 starts off annually is $32,000. With this level of pay can cause employees to be
less productive over time. A new compensation plan needs to be designed to address
the inadequacy in the accounts payable. In considering a new compensation structure
for the DFAS accounts payable payment plan, it will be vital to recognize the
deficiencies of the contemporary fabric of the compensation scheme. The problem
of the current compensation plan in the accounts payable department is the plan
does not consider compensating employee pay based on their education. Everyone
who starts in a graded series five step 1 will be given at the same rate, even if the
employee has a college degree. In the private sector environment, education may play
a significant factor in determine how much an

Unforgiven, High Noon High noon, an American Western movie debuted in 1952.
The movie has been awarded an Oscar Award in the best pictures category. The
theme of the movie is on how the western side of United States was captured. The
setting of the movie portrays a mixture of good and bad people in a settlement
where they have different perspectives of life. The bad people use inhuman ways to
achieve their goals while good people, especially those living in the town are law
abiding citizens, who take care of each other. The latter always use honest means in
achieving their goals. The aim of this essay is to elaborate on different questions that
are frequently asked regarding the movie. Though there are different characters in the
filmthat are portrayed as good people due to their roles of doing good to the
community, the official hero of the Unforgiven is Will Kane. An official hero is

Helen is the most powerful person in this town compared to other characters. This
is observed through her relationships with people around her. Though this strength
can be overlooked by her maiden decision to leave the city, her uniqueness as the
only person who understands the reason why Will Kane should stay in the city is
impressive. On the other hand, the dialogue between speaker 1 and speaker 2 after
discovering a killed body portrays the true epitome of humanity. Views by speaker

have are true as far as humanity is concerned. Speaker 2 describes the act of killing
a man as a hell of a thing which is not only wrong but morally unacceptable. The
dialogue between the two is used to show the difference in reasoning and thinking
between good people and bad
13. The Effects Of The BP Oil Spill
On April 20, 2010, a massive offshore drilling rig, known as the Deepwater
Horizon, exploded and set fire. The results were devastating. Eleven people lost
their lives, and approximately seventeen were injured ( BP Oil Spill Timeline ). The
explosion caused oil pipes to rupture and spill thousands of barrels of oil into the Gulf
of Mexico. The BP oil spillhas since turned into one of the worst disasters in recent
memory. The damage that it has caused is insurmountable, and it has taken its toll on
a wide range of people (Walsh). Making Matters worse, the spill has spawned many
controversies (Lustgarten). The question, however, remains the same: Why did this
happen in the first place?
The BP Oil Spill is the result of a series of events that eventually led to thousands of
barrels of petroleum leaking into the Gulf. In early September, BP released a report
that analyzed the events leading up to the accident. The report states that the fire
was caused by a release of hydrocarbons from the well, and then onto the oil rig (BP
Internal Investigation Team). The Deepwater horizon was equipped with failsafe
mechanisms in case anything went wrong. The problem is that they all failed as
well. Once the rig sank, it caused three breaks in the pipes. That is when the spill
occurred. There were multiple chances to stop this. And they all failed, says

16. Medieval Castle Weapons
The castle was an important aspect of warfare from the 10th to 13th centuries.
Castles, particularly in England, played an essential role in warfare because of the
power associated with them. Changes in castle defense are represented by two
important types of castles: the motte and bailey castle and, later, the concentric
castles. As a whole, they became more secure and fluid. Stronger materials were
necessary to ensure more powerful weapons could not penetrate the defenses easily.
In addition, more features were integrated into walls and central structures to allow
defenders to have angles to attack without weakening the defenses. This created
complexity in battle because of the increased number of angles available for shooting.
The changes that ultimately led to the concentric castlewere prompted by the rapidly
advancing technology used in weapons. The original defenses were no longer
capable of defending against them and therefore had to be fortified further. The
specific structural and... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One feature is an artificial or natural mound of earthen materials, called a motte. A
motte could be up to 30 feet tall and was sometimes surrounded by a moat to keep
attackers from scaling it and breaching the main defenses. On top of the motte was
a donjon or wooden tower, the primary area of defense. There was an area on top of
the tower to allow for the garrison to shoot the attackers from a higher angle. Lastly,
a bailey was a courtyard surrounded by walls, ideally circular. Because castles were
used for residential and administrative purposes along with warfare, they had
important buildings and people to defend. There were often multiple baileys
encompassing the various buildings, but the outer bailey was the most important.
While rather simple compared to later castles, its structure was sufficient for
defending against the weapons at the

18. A Study On Reims Cathedral
Reims Cathedral was built within the Marne department of the Champagne
Ardenne region between the years 1212 1300. However, Reims genesis dates back
to 496 AD as a previous cathedral once occupied the land on which the new
cathedral was built upon. A fire destroyed the original cathedral structure on May
6th, 1210. 2 years after the fire, it was decided to initiate work on the construction
of the new, cathedral that exists to this present day. This second cathedral is in the
French gothic style and was designed to be much more capacious in contrast to its
fire destroyed predecessor. The nave and aisles of the western arm are broadened
out in the eastern arm. This logic permitted larger crowds to attend coronation
ceremonies. The cathedrals predominant function is a place of worship under the
denomination of Roman Catholics. An assembly of architects participated in the
design over a period of 7 centuries due to adaptations and refinements materialised
to its design. Such names consist of Jean d Orbais (1175 1231); responsible for the
first initial design work of the cathedral, Henri Deneux (1874 1969); who laboured
over the architectural restoration of Reims after bombing raids in WW1, Bernard de
Soissons (birth date and death date unknown) noted as a participant with Jean in the
initial design work of the cathedral. One fundamental aspect explored by studying
Reims Cathedral is the quality of natural light and how it is affected by its both

19. Promoting Resilience in Nursing
Promoting Resilience Resilience is defined as a person s ability to weather
adversity and come out of it with a stronger ability to deal with the next challenge
(Mosby s Medical Dictionary, n.d.). Resilience can be noted as a trait within an
individual as well as a process through which a person undergoes during adversity
(Jacelon, 1997). Measuring resilience can be done by assessing certain qualities
within an individual and asking questions to elicit better understanding of their
current psychological state (Wagnild Collins, 2009). Nurses must have a thorough
comprehension of resilience and how to measure and promote this among
individuals who are met with health challenges. By doing this nurses are better
able to provide holistic client centred care and inform the nursing profession.
Defining Resilience Resilience is a term that is often applied to those who have
faced hardship and viewed the experience in a positive light as an opportunity to
grow and change for the better (Wagnild Collins, 2009). The definition however
seems to vary from place to place. Ungar et al. (2008) stated definitions of resilience
are ambiguous when viewed across cultures (p.174) which is why the understanding
of resilience may be difficult to capture (as cited in Windle, Bennett Noyes, 2011).
Although the literature agrees on several common themes about resilience there are
many varying opinions on how to define the concept or the attributing factors.

20. The Library Card Essay
The Library Card, by Richard Wright is a strong essay on how books can affect and
influence readers. Richard Wright writes that his first experience of the real world
is accomplished through novels. He read an article criticizing H.L. Mencken and it
tempted him to read some of his books. The article labeled Mencken as a fool.
Wright wanted to know what this man had done to cause such hatred against him. I
wondered what on earth this Mencken had done to call down upon him the scorn of
the South. The only people I had ever heard denounced in the South were Negroes,
and this man was not a Negro, (pg.319) Wright writes that tells us that the South was
filled with racism and hatred among the whites and blacks. Mencken must have had

Back then, black people could hardly read or write and they were not offered the
education to learn so. Once Richard took out the books, he headed back to the Irish
Catholic and told him that the librarian might telephone him. It is to make sure that
the books were for him and not for Richard. If Richard gets caught taking out the
books and reading it for himself, he will get in big trouble for it.
Richard first book was A Book of Prefaces, which was written by Mencken. He was
surprised on how Mencken fought with words in the book, and he was shocked
with his style. When he couldn t understand some words, he had to use a dictionary
to help him out. After he read the book, he felt that he had experienced something
new, I hungered for books, new ways of looking and seeing. It was not a matter of
believing or disbelieving what I read, but of feeling something new, of being
affected by something that made the look of the world different. (pg.323) Books
had made him view the world differently and they opened his eyes. Every time he
read a book, he could not put it down. The mood of it lingered, coloring everything
he saw, heard, did. He identified himself with the books he read, and it made him
vaguely guilty. Would I, filled with bookish notions, act in a manner that would
make the whites dislike me? he questioned himself and it made him feel isolated
from the world around him. Every time he reads a book, he learns

from surface water (lakes and rivers) and the remaining water comes from
groundwater (wells). In May of each year, the city of Phoenix distribute and post a
water quality report that contains important information about the quality of Phoenix
water (Phoenix s water quality, n.d.). Water hardness is one of the important info
revealed in the Phoenix water quality report, which I would like to discuss it. Simply
hardness is the amount of dissolved calciumand magnesium in the water. Hardness
impacts the water quality throughout the aesthetic acceptability (calcium, magnesium,
and dissolved solids concentration) by consumers. Since water known as universal

As a result, clothes laundered in hard water may look dirty and feel harsh and
scratchy. Hard water causes a film and scale deposit builds upon glass shower
doors, shower walls, bathtubs, sinks, and faucets. Furthermore, scale deposit
builds up in a water heater and in the pipe system (distributing system) resulting in
energy consumption increment and water flow reduction as the pipes become
clogged with the scale (Braff, D., 2012, April 25). There is no Primary or
Secondary standard for water hardness issued by EPA. Also, hardness has no health

24. Development Of Urban Water Supply
INTRODUCTION
In the mid 1800s, with dramatic, gray granite walls towering over flowering
meadows, and graceful waterfalls plummeting spectacularly over granite cliffs, Hetch
Hetchy Valley was not only a place of beauty but a target for the development of
urban water supply. The Hetch Hetchy Water Project, an undertaking designed to
deliver water to the San Francisco Bay Area using a unique gravity fed transmission
system of elaborate tunnels above and through the ground, would ultimately become
the biggest influence on the valley s history, natural environment, and the area s local
economic development.

Early Inhabitants
For over 6,000 years, into the early 1800s, Native American s paid yearly visits to
the Hetch Hetchy Valleyto gather seeds and plants, hunt, and trade goods. Before
the arrival of Europeans in the 1850s, for thousands of years, the Hetch Hetchy
Valley was seasonally inhabited by Native Americans who practiced subsistence
hunting and gathering. The seasonal inhabitance was likely due to the Hetch
Hetchy s narrow outlet, which in years of heavy snowmelt created a bottleneck in
the Tuolumne River and led to flooding of the valley floor. During dry hot
summers, people from native groups such as the Miwok and Paiute would travel
from their native regions to the Hetch Hetchy Valley seeking relief from the
summer heat of their native lands while also searching for seeds, edible plants,
winter food, trade items, and materials for art and ceremonial objects. Meadow
plants were particularly valuable to the valley s visitors since they were not
available in the lowlands. During this same time period, Native Americans subjected
the valley to controlled bushfires which helped foster the growth of the meadow
grasses and plants they relied on. This also provided additional room for large game
animals and prevented forests from taking over the valley floor.

For my third outside reading project of the year, I chose to read Flags of our
Fathers by James Bradley. Bradley s book fascinated me as it shifted from a
soldier s pre war everyday life to their experiences with Iwo Jima and WWII.
Throughout his story, the third person point of view gave a unique opportunity to
set the historical context of a war imprinted into nearly everyone on this planet s
history. The authors use of chapters was ingenious as the choice gave him an
ability to show phases throughout the war torn era whether it was in as a young
American man looking for a purpose, the naive young soldier etching for a fight, or
the experienced vet on his way home from a traumatic world war. The story starts
as giving some much needed historical context, explains his connection and
motivation behind the book. He says, six boys called to me from half a century
ago... and later explains One of those flag raisers was my father . That motivation
for writing this book is seen throughout as you can tell he has a passion for it, he s
not just a writer writing for a publisher. He s an American writing about his father s

The article What it takes to be great, by Geoffrey Colvin is very well written.
Geoffrey Colvin makes valid points to support his opinion on what it takes to be
great. I agree with Colvin s idea that to be great at something it requires hard work.
He expands on this by saying it takes deliberate practice. What Colvin meant by
deliberate practice, was that is performing not just to get something done, but to be
efficient and push oneself to accomplish more. An example could be playing
basketball. If a person shoots one hundred foul shots a day does not mean he or she
is deliberately practicing. The best way to get better would be to make sure you made

Clemson has been twice as much work as the place I attended last year. Talking
with other transfer students, Clemson has been different then the institutions they

as transfer students. At first I was frustrated with all that was going on. I have not
seemed to have as much time as last year to go out and have fun. This year I have
been studying twice as much to keep up with everything and I feel it is good for
me. This article has shown me that anything worth achieving takes hard work. A
person cannot just go through life and do nothing and expect greatness from it. As
a transfer student I have discovered how important it is to do well in every aspect
of life, not just school work. Working hard can lead to something great, but you
may not even know what it is until it hits you right in the face. Another main point
I can apply to myself as a transfer student is to never give up. I know times will be

It is essential for the researcher to gain insights into the operation and development of
BigChange. The CEO responded with meticulous answers about current situation and
growth strategies. To illustrate, the CEO believes his company is in the early phase

performances in the market are remarkable with the annual revenue of ₤2 million.
Moreover, he estimates the market share that the company has gained after two years
working is from 0.5% to 1% and he confirms that the UK telematics is one of the
biggest markets in Europe. Thus it seems to take BigChange more time and efforts to
achieve its ambition as a market leader.
When asking about the current strategy of BigChange, the CEO demonstrated that
they are providing services and products to specified industries in the UK by creating
different industry sites. Then they introduce sites and services to a customer coming
from those industries, it will be timesaving and easy to offer and customise the sites.

From Sangria to mimosas, wine cocktails make great party starters. And why not?
Wines like Cabernet Sauvignon take on the rich taste of the oak barrels in which
they re stored. Champagnes bring us the taste of the champagne region of France.

33. Essay on Durkheim and Marx Theories Applied to Drug
Laws
All societies have rules and regulations as well as penalties for those who violate
them. There are numerous theories about the philosophy behind these laws and
punishments, and the reasons we implement them. A short analysis of two of these
perspectives can shed light on the differences between the various ideas while
illustrating that, in reality, each theory carries some validity.
Emile Durkheim and Karl Marx s perspectives on the law are significantly different.
Durkheim s view is based upon the belief that a society s legal system reflects the
values of society as a whole, while Marx s view is based upon the belief that laws
reflect a continuing conflict between the classes. An examanation of how these two
perspectives perceive ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
David Garland agrees with this and writes, penal measures are shaped not just by
patterns of criminality themselves linked to the conditions of life of marginal groups
and their relation to other classes but primarily by governmental perceptions of the
poor as a social problem and the preferred strategies for their treatment (page 134).
In the late 1980 s and early 1990 s, drug use became a major concern for most
Americans. As the War on Drugs and Just Say No campaign were being thrust into
the spotlight by the government and media, the public became more aware of the
scope of drug use and abuse in this country. The federal and states governments
quickly responded by creating and implementing more harsh and punitive
punishments for drug offenses. Most of these laws have either remained unchanged
or become stricter in the years since then.
According to the Durkheimian perspective, the public sees drug use as an
unacceptable behavior and recognizes it as a threat to morality and values. As such,
drug users must be punished in order to restore societal harmony and deter future
offenses. The increasingly punitive reaction to drug use in the 1980 s can be seen as
a reaction to the public s increasing perception that drugs are a threat to the moral
fabric of society. By inflicting severe punishment on drug offenders, the community is
satisfied with the knowledge that drug addicts are paying for

How we as humans are destroying the Earth
There have been various changes taking place on the earth. Some of the changes have
been positive while others have been negative. Man has been associated with various
activities that have contributed to significant destruction of earth and species or
animals that occur in these areas. However, sometimes natural causes are associated
with the destruction of the environment. There are various ways in which man have
been associated with destruction of the environment. Some of the common ways in
which destruction has taken place is through pollution such as release of harmful
gases and overuse of resources. Others include destruction of habitat such as clearing
of forests and alteration of climate associated with human activities. However, there
are also ways that have been outlined as possible in averting changes that have taken
place on earth. Such changes may include the use of alternative energy such as the
biogas. A focus on how man has been involved in the destruction of the planet at an
alarming rate will help in highlighting ways to overcome such effects.
There are various ways in which human is involved in the destruction of the earth.
The damage has been associated with the increasing human population. This has

35. The Global Cancer Burden Of Cancer
Cancer is the leading cause of death in economically developed countries and the
second leading cause of death in developing countries. (Organization, 2004) The
burden of cancer is increasing in economically developing countries as a result of
population aging and growth as well as, increasingly, an adoption of cancer
associated lifestyle choices including smoking, physical inactivity, and westernized
diets. In this article, we provide an overview of the global cancer burden, including
the estimated number of new cancer cases and deaths in 2008 and the incidence and
mortality rates by region for selected cancer sites. These statistics are based on
GLOBOCAN 2008, the standard set of worldwide estimates of cancer incidence and
mortality produced by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) for
2008. We comment on the recent incidence and mortality patterns observed for a
number of common cancer forms, alongside established preventive measures that can
reduce the worldwide cancer burden. (Jemal, et al., 2011) Incidence data (the number
of newly diagnosed cases each year) are derived from population based cancer
registries, which may cover entire national populations but more often cover smaller,
subnational areas, and, particularly in developing countries, only urban environments,
such as major cities. Although the quality of information from most of the developing
countries might be considered, in relative terms, of limited quality, it often

37. Antony Is a Tragic Hero
Anthony and Cleopatra was written in 1607, following the incredible period that
gave us Hamlet, Orthello, King Lear and Macbeth. Although sometimes hard to
categorise, some put this play with Julius Caesar and Corialanus, the Roman plays:
all three use Plutharch s lives of the Noble Grecians and Romans as their primary
source and all three have concerns steeped in historical and political questions.
Shakespeare shows an impressive ability to assimilate the classical world in his own
terms and this is partly a tribute to the strength and vitality of Plutarch s writing. Yet,
although Shakespeare alters Plutarch freely to match his own dramatic purposes,
Plutarch s power to speak for his time and place shines through Shakespeare s... Show

Even with this conflict, Shakespeare perfectly depicts Anthony s love and dotage
of Cleopatra. Shakespeare uses language to contrast the cultures within Rome and
Egypt. The Roman characters speak in balanced, ordered blank verse which
suggests the regularity and order of their way of life . When speaking of Fulvia s
death Anthony s speech changes to perfect cambic pentameter when he says The
opposite of itself, She s good being gone implying his shocked reaction and mixed
emotion. He should be happy that she is dead so now he can spend his life with
his enchanting queen , Cleopatra but he is not . He seems shocked at word of her
death. The same rhythm is taken up in a greatly relaxed manner by the teasing of
Anthony and Cleopatra. Cleopatra taunts If it be love indeed, tell me how much
and Anthony replies with there s beggary in the love that can be reckoned . In
Egypt the characters speak mainly in phrase, showing their casual, relaxed and
sensous approach to life. The conversation is frivolous, sexual and scattered with
gossip . Not now to hear thee sing. I take no pleasure in alight a eunuch has. Tis well
for thee that, being unseminar d thy freer thoughts may not fly forth of Egypt. Has

laden with metaphors like: many thousand kisses, the poor last/ I lay you thy lips

Confirmation complements the symbols of Baptism. The historical origins of the
symbols of Confirmation are many and diverse. One source of the rituals for the
Sacrament of Confirmation can be found in the bathing customs of the Roman
Empire. The water ritual (Baptism) came to mean the washing away of sin, and the
oil ritual (Confirmation) was interpreted to mean the sweet fragrance of God s
presence: sanctifying grace. In the same way God s grace fills us with redemption
and salvation. This grace, this presence of God in us, is the Holy Spirit.
Confirmation is the Sacrament of the Holy Spirit. Anointing can mean many things.
From ancient times, oil has been a symbol of strength, healing and agility. For Jews,
our ancestors in the faith, oil is the sign of God appointing someone to be a priest,
prophet and king. Christians believe that Jesus of Nazareth was this anointed one. As
Christ means anointed, we call ourselves Christians because we are the anointed ones,
the Oiled People, so to speak. The Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and
Eucharist initiate us into that oiled community, the community anointed to continue
the vocation of the Messiah, the Christ.
At Baptism, the priest lays his hand on those to be baptised and marks them with the
sign of the cross. In the Sacrament of Reconciliation, the priest lays his hands on the
head of the

The movie Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory was made in 1971 and is based

also themes shown throughout the Bible.
The first biblical worldview that Willy Wonkaand the Chocolate Factory explores is

This is done through the character of Charlie Bucket. Charlie is the protagonist in the
story, but he is not perfect as, like the other children, he also gives into temptation.
This happens when Charlie and his Grandpa decide to try a drink that will make
you fly, although by doing this they nearly get killed, they eventually return safely
back to the group, believing that no one had found out about what they did. This
has many connections to the story of Adam and Eve, who eat a forbidden fruit but
believe that God will not be able to catch them. However, God knew what they had
done and in result they were banished from the Garden of Eden. Charlie, like Adam
and Eve, also pays the consequences of this actions when Wonka denies him the
prize of a lifetime supply of chocolate. Unlike the story of Adam and Eve however,
when Charlie shows remorse for his actions Wonka reveals to him that he was only

to the bible in John 1:9, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us

biblical worldview that no human is perfect and it is impossible for someone not to

Introduction Literature Review Human beings are social beings and as such,
social interaction with others is crucial to one s definition, and perception of the
self. Social interaction happens everyday, and there are many components that
work collaboratively in order to make these encounters flow in a smooth manner
(Goffman). Everyone engages in what Goffman called impression management
(IM) and this is which means that every participant in a social interaction defines
the situation with the information that is being exchanged, and this information is
modified in a way that allows individuals to obtain a desired reaction from others.
There are various tactics of IM and one of them is called self presentation. Self
presentation encompasses all of the efforts individuals make in order to influence
others perceptions of themselves (cite). Early scholars such as Goffman referred
to these practices as happening on a face to face basis. However, as society
adopted SNSs, social interaction as well as IM, and self presentation have also
been adapted into the virtual world, and so all of the WEB s a stage (cite). Social
network sites is defined as web based services that allow individuals to (1) construct
a public or semi public profile within a bounded system, (2) articulate a list of other
users with whom they share a connection, and (3) view and traverse their list of
connections and those made by others within the system (cite, real). Social network

the point at which a system meets its environment or where subsystems meet each
others. However, the objectives to the system Love can be changes within the
component of that function to the system or outside of that function to the system
because the interface of objectives is operations and input process. For example,
42. Unbalance Between Beetles And Conifers
Marked by its swampy woodlands the boreal forest biome is located in the
northern part of Canada and Russia. Evidently, the boreal forest ecosystem is
comprised of many different species such as wolf, lynx, moose, hare, marten,
conifer, and grass (Biome Explorer, 2012). Unfortunately, global warming is a
scenario that could cause the genetic diversity of the boreal forest population to be
severely damaged. For example, if this biomewere to experience an increase in
temperature it would positively impact bark beetles causing outbreaks which in turn
becomes detrimental to the trees within this ecosystemsuch as the conifers. Therefore,
global warming would cause unbalance between the bark beetles and the conifers,
since the increase of bark
43. Advantages Of Throw Away Prototyping
Throw away Prototyping Methodology
Introduction:
Throw away prototyping is use to develop or create application as fast as possible.
It helps in creating a part of future application to ensure that a new develop feature is
technically feasible. It is different from sketching, as the sketching is more graphical
and concerned towards the user interfaces and experience and it does not requires or
consist of writing programming chunks or codes snippets.
The throw away prototyping is also called closed ended prototype. It is refers to the
creation of a model that will be discarded rather then making it a part of final
delivered software. It is discarded at the end after completing the project.
A small working model of the software is provided to the end users to conform their
requirements, and to get response or feedback. This small ... Show more content on

Uses
As it gives us knowledge about the defects, issues and problems in early stage of
product development phase so it become more effective and does not give inaccurate
result at the end of the finalizing phase of the product. In this project, the completing
of each phase, step by step of throwaway prototyping methodology is easy and
transition from one phase to other phase is quick and fast.Due to this method, the
project is completed on time with less cost.
Throw away prototyping is useful to use when sketching is not enough, and it
requires to show the working of features or when need to show the actual
performance or response. TheThrow away prototyping has many advantages and it is
efficient to use, but somehow it become difficult and risky when dealing with
stakeholders and have little knowledge of technical background and in context of tuff
deadline and limited resources.

44. The Flying Cat Roslo Report
Let me tell you the story of the flying cat Roslo. Roslo was a small tabby tom in a
world where all cats had special abilities but, Roslo was the only cats in his whole
world who could fly. He would fly around for fun if he was bored or if he wanted to
go get some tuna. The only problem was that every time Roslo flew he would lose
control and crash into a nearby building or fruit stand and seen things everywhere.
Soon the townspeople had enough of Roslo and made him leave town until he knew
how to fly properly. How can I learn to fly? Roslo thoughtto himself i m the only
one who can fly but, Roslo was determined to learn how to fly so he practiced
everyday but he kept crashing into the same rock tower and soon it fell. Soon he
gave up and
45. Essay On Allergies
The immune system functions in preventing foreign and potentially dangerous
molecules that enter the body from harming the person. Sometimes, these allergens
that enter the body are completely harmless and the body s overreaction to the
allergen can be extremely dangerous. For decades, scientists have been searching for
effective ways to properly diagnose an allergy, how to save patients in life dependent
situations, and discover a long term cure. Although modern medicine has proven to
be very helpful and has saved many lives, the drastic increase of children developing
allergies is an issue of concern and is something that needs to be put on notice. When
a harmless allergen enters the body, the human body produces antibodies, the
chemical... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Antihistamines, discovered in the 1940s, work by attaching to cell receptors and
thus prevents histamine from causing the chemical reaction in the cells that
produce allergy symptoms. Another treatment option is desensitization therapy,
which involves the injection of an increasing amount of allergen if the person has
high IgE concentration (Daley 4). Desensitization therapy, also called
hyposensitization, appears to work by increasing the amount of IgG antibodies
which in effect blocks the combination of IgE and the allergen and the consequent
release of histamine. Steroid drugs inhaled through the nose are decongestants that
relieve local inflammation in the nose. Epipens, one of the most common,
accessible treatments, inject epinephrine into the body of a person undergoing a
serious allergic reaction and works by increasing blood pressure, improving
breathing, reducing swelling, and reversing hives. Another practical way to avoid
allergies is just to avoid the allergen a person is known to be reactive with.
Although avoidance is one of the safest and easiest ways to go, it maybe hard to
identify what a person is allergic to without undergoing an intense allergic
reaction. That is why diagnosing food allergies is important, and why skin test and
other allergy identifiers are important. Skin prick tests and blood tests are used to
detect food specific IgE antibodies. For skin prick test, a small drop of the allergen
is placed on the skin, and irritation indicates which allergens the patient has IgE
antibodies to. Occasionally, these tests are inaccurate as false negatives can occur,
but blood tests such as the radioallergosorbent test (RAST) measures the suspected
amount of IgE antibodies in the blood for each specific allergen. Safety precautions
and certain drugs have improved and have been used to find a short term cure for
