Governments have the power and authority to open markets to foreign investors; when this happens a
free trade agreement is reached. However an individual or corporation can decide at any time to
improve upon their own mechanics on a national or global level. With tourism and finance serving as
the two major industries within the Bahamas for multiple years we have not had to trade or forsake
much to propel these products to a higher level. Moreover a vast difference between globalization and
its cousin free trade is; globalization is technology driven and it is not affected directly by government
decisions. Herein lies the want versus need parody. Because a person wants to compete on a more
grand stage they then make the necessary improvements so that they can grandstand on a mainstream
platform. Whereas the need is forced upon them more for the good of the people versus one entity s
gain. Now that we have a bit more food for thought let us take a more in depth look at some of the key
factors and ways that diversity and globalization affects the Bahamas.
Diversification of industries
Tourism has been the staple of Bahamian income for a vast number of years. Every day we see more
and more companies emerging within these Bahama lands. Probably the best known hospitality
employer in the Bahamas is the Kerzner International Company. What makes this company a

Pompeii s amphitheatre was built shortly after 80 BCE; this causes it to become the oldest known
example of its kind in the Roman world. Any event hosted in the amphitheatre was strongly publicised
and well attended. These attendee s were not just the citizens of Pompeii, but many of the spectators
were from the surrounding villages. (Western Australian Museum, n/d) It is recorded at in 59 CE, a
riot broke out between Pompeian fans and the citizens of the nearby town of Nuceria, and as a result,
the amphitheatre was closed for a decade. A gentler form of entertainment, with less gore, was that of
theatrical performances. Pompeii s theatre was old, built originally in the second century BCE in the
traditional Greek Style, this was later enlarged and modernised to look similar to the Roman theatre.

Reasons For The Compromise Of 1877
Following the Compromise of 1877, many supporters of black rights, such as freed slaves or radical
Republicans, believed that conditions for freed blacks were worse than they had been when they were
enslaved. Though there were definitely upsides to freedom from slavery, many conditions blacks lived
under either didn t change or got worse after the Compromise. For example, the removal of the
military from the South allowed the southern government to pass laws limiting blacks rights, meaning
the social, political and economic conditions after the compromise were similar to the ones they had
lived with under slavery; the legalization of segregation made it more difficult for blacks to influence
white perception of their race; and violence against blacks increased, and white protection of them
decreased, as many saw them as less valuable once they had been released from slavery. The
compromise ended the reconstruction, which meant that the military presence in the south, which had
been virtually the only thing keeping a semblance of order, was removed. This resulted in widespread
and often unpunished violence against blacks. It also left the southern government free to operate by
itself, and measures were quickly taken to limit the rights of blacks. Education budgets were cut,
sharecropping regulations were changed in order to favor plantation owners, and the right to vote was

Laws change for many reasons. New ways of thinking play a part as well as wanting to push our
country forward. The sources of Texas laws is the Constitution and Legislation. The
Constitution of Texas is the main source of state law. The Constitution also contains different levels of
laws, including constitutional, statutory, regulatory laws, case and local laws, and regulations. The
Legislature is formatted by the Texas Legislature.

Although the Constitution requires the Texas Legislature to revise, digest, and publish the state laws,
the Texas Legislature does not often do it.
The Texas court system has two types of courts. Texas has trial courts and appellate courts. A trial
court has witnesses, exhibits are used as evidence, and a jury comes up with the verdict based on the
facts of the case. One judge is allowed in this type of trial. These courts are the most common, and are
the ones people are used to seeing and hearing about. Trial courts consists of the municipal courts,
justice of the peace courts, district courts, constitutional county courts, and statutory county courts.
However, some have different jurisdictions than the rest.
There is such a thing as limited jurisdiction and general jurisdiction. There are reasons courts have
different jurisdictions and soon we will see why.
There are over 1,325 municipal courts in the state of Texas, these are courts with limited jurisdiction.
These courts are the ones in charge of overseeing Class C demeanors. These cases usually include
traffic violations that occur within the city limits of that certain municipal court.
