How Reganomics Destroyed Middle Class America
How Reaganomics Destroyed the Middle Class Reaganomics are the economic policies that were set
and promoted in 1980s by the U.S. President Ronald Reagan. These policies are mainly connected to
trickle down economics. There are four pillars that are associated with the economic policy of Reagan
and they include: reduce government economic regulation, reduce growth of how much the
government spends, reduce the marginal tax rates such as capital gains tax and income tax and lastly
reduce the level of inflation by controlling money supply growth. These four policies were expected to
increase investment and savings, balance the U.S. budget, reduce inflation, increase the economic
growth rate, restore healthy financial markets and reduce ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The government decided to fund government organizations such as Environmental Protection Agency
instead of funding the social security (Barone 120). This means that the department was left without
funds hence there was no money that could be used to pay those who were working in the social
security majority of which were middle class people. This shows how the middle class people were
destroyed as a result of Reaganomics which forced the middle class people to pay more taxes. In the
end of his two terms as the president of the U.S., 5% of the population which comprise of the rich had
received double wealth and economic share of ownership while 95% of the population which
comprise of the middle class people and the poor had no progress when it comes to immersion of
wealth instead they had lost more of their wealth due to inflation and high tax rates (Barone 120).
Nevertheless, the social security meant to benefit the rich poor since they were the ones who owned
property. The middle class people did not obtain any form of social security thus were forced to
protect their own wealth.
Unregulated economy: the main reason why Reaganomics policy was implemented was to stimulate
economic growth. In the beginning, the policy managed to stimulate economic growth but this was as
a result of increased spending among the middle class people and not as a result of tax cuts.

The Application Of Terminal Services
TERMINAL SERVICES
This is a service that allows multiple clients to simultaneously access a server computer remotely. It is
based on centralized services architecture, therefore the clients could be fully loaded computers or
dumb terminals like thin clients all simply functioning as an input/output terminal. All the clients
share the operating system and application on the terminal server, therefore all processing occurs in
the server. Terminal services is used to simultaneously deliver windows based applications to multiple
clients which could be windows based terminals, remote users or local desktops and even more it
supports delivery to an heterogeneous desktop environment. The service could be delivered over the
local area network ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Even more deploying an application is also quite easier because only a single software has to be
installed on the terminal server as against having to install on every individual computer. Furthermore,
apart from the extra cost and stress in deploying applications in a non terminal services environment,
another massive advantage provided by terminal services is Application updating, in the case of a line
of business application that requires frequent updating and repairs, because it is only carried out on a
single computer, time and cost in saved. Another way terminal services reduces cost of ownership is
because it supports the use of thin clients or older hardware to be used as terminal clients, which to
run the same applications in a non terminal services environment would have required the older
hardwares to be upgraded as they are not capable of running new windows applications. Other
benefits of terminal services include:
It improves performance for users connecting from a remote location with bandwidth constraint
A more consistent experience can be provided to mobile users
Its centralized management allows for a highly controlled environment
With regards to LPHP, implementing terminal services in the network will allow a more cost effective
licensing policy, easy, efficient deployment and stress free updating process of all the

Good Finance or Bad Medicine
Taking a stand 14: Good Finance or Bad medicine? on pg. 386 (503)
Good Finance or Bad Medicine?
Imagine that you have just earned your business degree and have been hired as a hospital
administrator at a small hospital that, like many others, is experiencing ïŹnancial problems. Having
studied finance, you know that efficient cash management is important to all firms in all industries to
meet the day by day operations of the firm. One way to ensure such efficiency is to use a carefully
planned and managed inventory control system that can reduce the amount of cash an organization has
tied up in inventory. Being familiar with Just In Time Inventory, you know it is a proven system that
helps reduce the costs of managing inventory.

A business of any size must understand that poorly managed inventory can seriously affect cash flow
and drain its finances dry. (Nickels, McHugh, McHugh, 2014.)
I will implement the JIT system, in an expedient but manageable timeframe, one that will satisfy the
requirements with the least amount of resistance. Given my familiarity with the JIT System, I am
confident that it is the best solution for our current dilemma. My decision was based primarily on its
proven track record of success, origin, history of use and versatility within many different industries.
My decision however, has drawn some unfavorable objections from some of the Physicians in the
Oncology Department. They have communicated their objections, stating that this new process will
ultimately result in the neglect of those patients receiving cancer treatment.
Currently, their argument does not provide any specific data to support the claim. As long as the
hospital is compliant with both State and Federal regulations, there should be no cause for concern.
What could result from your decision?
My decision could be met with continued opposition from the Physicians.
Lead to a division between upper management and medical staff.
Lower the overall morale in the Oncology Department.
Negative or unwanted media attention.

Commercial Divers
He stares into the dark abyss which is the Pacific Ocean, torch in hand and work piece awaiting.
Darkness flees as the craftsman unites his torch and the work piece, the once dark blue ocean has now
created a luminous bubble awaken by the sudden current flowing throughout the electrode creating the

structures. They have a responsibility to inspect and repair so that production won t be slowed down

kind of commercial diving it is, it requires a skill set far from recreational diving, and quite unlike
anything else at all. A commercial diver must be equally capable of performing a multitude of
different tasks, and in much more demanding situations than other tradesmen. The growing demand
for commercial divers is larger than ever with the amount of work there is for a commercial diver. The
states with the highest employment level include Louisiana, Florida, Texas, Washington, and

Their Eyes Were Watching By Zora Hurston
The book their eyes were watching was written by Zora Hurston, and she tells the life story of a girl
named Janie. It starts off with a metaphor explaining that women are the type to chase their dreams
and even when it seems they can never accomplish it they never lose sight of it. Men on the other type
to have dreams but instead of chasing like how Zora says women do they want their dream to come to
them. The book is a frame narrative being and told by Zora but switches from Janie s point of view to
get a better look at her story. The reason for this book is to show the importance of dream and finding
love. In the first chapter, we see Janie sitting under a pear tree and she starts to realize what she really

The Pros And Cons Of The California Water Project
6.The California Water Project takes water from northern California to the south through various
means. The two sides have disagreements on how the water should be used. Northern Californians
argue that if they sent more water to the south, they would waste it, resulting in the Sacramento River
being degraded. However, southern Californians still want more water, because they feel that their
growing populations and agricultural needs require the water. The Aral Sea was the world s fourth
largest freshwater lake in 1960. Since then, there has been a water transfer project using mainly a
canal that sends water to numerous locations across Asia. It is now almost dry because of our use.
Some ways it has been effected include: it s lost 72 feet of height, 89% of its volume, and has been
split in half. Also, its salinity increased sevenfold while toxicity increased (resulting in contaminated
drinking water and health issues). Recovery efforts soon began in 1999, and with the contribution of
600 million dollars from the UN and the World Bank. Surrounding countries also worked hard, and
now the situation, though still progressing toward the worse, is more or less stable. China s South
North Water Transfer Project mostly involves three large channels. This project is very expensive, but
provides water to the water needy huge population of northern China. There are critics, although there

The Comic Stumptown By Greg Rucka And Matthew Southworth...
The comic Stumptown by Greg Rucka and Matthew Southworth and the retro audio podcast Nick
Carter: Master Detective starring Lon Clack portray the different roles of women in detective fiction.
Nick Carter was on the radio from 1943 to 1955, and represents more traditional roles for gender.
Over the 125 episodes, the radio show followed detective Nick Carter and his female assistant, Patsy
on different crime scene investigations. Carter was also able to solve seemingly impossible crimes by
looking at unique angles. Stumptown was published in 2011. It represents a more modern view on
gender roles in detecting. In this comic, Dex Parios, a private investigator, is hired to find someone s
granddaughter. She encounters many difficulties while investigating and attempting to find the
missing girl. In the end, the plot ends up being a lot more complicated than initially presented. In this
essay, I am going to look at how the role of gender in detective fiction has evolved over time.
Although Nick Carter had both books and a movie about him, the most well known installment of his
story was the radio show. Nick Carter: Master Detective was produced in the 1940s and 50s, which
means it reflects a traditional view of gender roles in detecting, as well as in the world, that was
common of this time period. The patriarchal society dictates that men are the providers for the family
and have the jobs and do the hard work. Women are to stay in the home and not do any heavy duty

Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery
Rule induction is one of the major forms of data mining and is perhaps the most common form of
knowledge discovery in unsupervised learning systems. It is also perhaps the form of data mining that
most closely resembles the process that most people think about when they think about data mining,
namely mining for gold through a vast database. The gold in this case would be a rule that is
interesting that tells you something about your database that you didn t already know and probably
weren t able to explicitly articulate (aside from saying show me things that are interesting ). The bane
of rule induction systems is also its strength that it retrieves all possible interesting patterns in the
database. This is strength in the sense that it leaves no stone unturned but it can also be viewed as a
weakness because the user can easily become overwhelmed with such a large number of rules that it is
difficult to look through all of them. You almost need a second pass of data mining to go through the
list of interesting rules that have been generated by the rule induction system in the first place in order
to find the most valuable gold nugget amongst them all. This overabundance of patterns can also be
problematic for the simple task of prediction because all possible patterns are culled from the database
there may be conflicting predictions made by equally interesting rules. Automating the process of
culling the most interesting rules and of combing the recommendations

Iago Manipulation In Othello
Act III Scene III is one of the most important and influential scenes in this play; as it s the scene where
Iago is shown to successfully manipulate Othello into believing that Desdemona has not been faithful
to him. This is very significant to the rest of the play as it affects everything Othello, the protagonist,
thinks, feels and says from this point onwards. While beginning as a noble general, he develops into
just the opposite, swearing revenge on his wife. Act III Scene III is also the longest scene in the play,
which reflects its importance because so much develops and evolves throughout.
During this act we begin to see the importance of manipulation as a central theme, with the plot really
starting to advance as Iago plants his seeds of suspicion in Othello s mind and starts to water them.
This develops the play significantly as we see Iago put into action the plans he spoke of earlier
through soliloquies and asides. In Act III Scene III, just as Cassio scurries out of the room, Iago says,
Ha! I like not that. (line 33) This is said to arise suspicion in Othello s mind as it makes Cassio seem
guilty of sleeping with Desdemona. Once this has been said, Iago leaves Othello to ponder the various
diabolical meanings provided within this short statement, which makes him agitated and irritable.
Although on line 93, Othello tells Iago, No, Iago, I ll see before I doubt, when I doubt, prove, And on
the proof there is no more but this: Away at once with love or jealousy!

Analysis Of Consent, Sex, And Moral Behavior
Sufficiently Less Than Enough: Consent, Sex, and Moral Behaviour
Consent is uniquely argued position within philosophical analysis of moral and immoral behaviours,
especially in regards to positions refuting consents ability to be sufficient enough to legitimize moral
behaviour. We must remain critical in our analysis of consent, and ways that it may, or may not
legitimize moral behaviours. At first glance, one might assume that; the consent of two people is
enough to constitute moral behaviour. Upon further investigation, we become aware of another s
ability to consciously consent and engage in acts that will degrade and cause some form of harm to the
other, usually for their own mental or physical pleasure, inducing the fact that ... Show more content

To assume that consent procures this universal narrative, would be a gross underestimation of the
subjective nature of human desires and ways that desires illicit immoral behaviours at the expense of
others. In this paper I will argue that consent is certainly a necessary component of legitimate moral
behaviour, however, consent alone is not sufficient because it fails to embody the complex and
sometimes dark nature of human desires that may subject individuals to dehumanizing desires benign
to their happiness or well being. However, the counter argument fails to imply Seiriol Morgan s Dark
Desires produces an excellent account for arguing consent as necessary, but not sufficient in validating
sexual morality. Morgan draws on arguments previously presented by German philosopher, Immanuel
Kant. Morgan describes the concept self conceit as a self deceptive attitude responsible for driving
human competition and envy of others, often leading to the use of others as instruments to our ends,
supporting notions of superiority over others. He concludes that self conceit is an unsociable motive
that can be used to empower and individual through the domination of another through consensual sex
(Morgan, 2001). Consensual sex can often be just that, consensual in which both parties have agreed
to participate for some kind of

People are desperate in the nature in doing anything to find out what will happen next or what will
happen in the future. This reaction of feeling desperate to find out what will happen seems to be more
of an accumulated feeling of wanting to have a sense of control. Instead of allowing the future to just
to be the future they are desperate on finding answers to unknown answers about their lives to gain of
power of control over their lives. Desperate measures could be going to mediums and fortunetellers
just like the character (serial killer) to feel a sense of control. Finally, the episode showed that people
in reaction for searching for the control over their lives become gullible. Being gullible in the fact that
they basically believe anything anybody says about knowing an aspect of their future. For an example

Leadership Style Of A Leader Essay
Each individual possesses a certain capacity for leadership. Whether is is learned or innate,
communication skills are a key factor in how a leader is perceived and followed. An individual s
leadership style is comprised of several factors within the workplace environment and the individuals
that comprise it.Some theories debate whether leadership remains the same no matter the
circumstance, where others maintain that individuals might use others to gain leadership for noble
means. Regardless of the charisma or communication an individual uses in their leadership style, each
person should follow the example of Christ to become a respectable, caring, and honorable role model
of love and generosity.

How Leaders Lead Almost every single day an individual has an opportunity to be a leader. Whether it
be leading a political party, an office project group, or simply leading by setting an example, all

appropriate for every situation. How we choose to implement our leadership style and translate it to
the situation will dictate the effectiveness of our leadership.

Performance appraisal is one of the most intricate and imperative issues that we do in the Army. So we

After the end of World War II, there was a bipolar world with the two superpowers being the United
States and the United Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR). Though they fought together in the war to

United States had a capitalist economy with free markets whereas the USSR was a communist nation.
Due to this, the two nations were in the midst of a Cold War. Instead of fighting with armies, they
fought with threats, propaganda, and science to determine which nation would become the world

Small pellets of slightly enriched uranium would be put into containers called fuel rods, then set up

Observational Ethnographic Study
Divisions of household labour and child care, which have been argued to be markers of love and

an important study drawing on existing qualitative data from the National Survey of Families and
Households attained via interviews and surveys, to re examine the relationship between equality and

How Student Can Use Memory Concepts That Will Improve...
Having memories impacts our lives greatly without them society would not be as it is today.
According to Grison, Heatherton, and Gazzaniga(2015), memory is the capacity to acquire and retain
information and skills. Not all experiences will be equally remembered, some events will leave no
memory, others will be remembered but later forgotten, and other times a memory can be remembered
for a lifetime. I will be looking into how student can use memory concepts that will improve student s
grades if they follow it correctly. And also talk about my personal study habits and how I can improve
them so I can get a more positive result in my classes. There are three phases of memory; which are
encoding, storage, and retrieval. According to Calvillo (2014); encoding is the processing of
information so that it can be stored, storage is the retention of encoded representations over time, and
lastly retrieval is the act of recalling or remembering stored information when it is needed. When
students use these three phases in school properly it will lead to success in their academic career but if
they just do minimal preparation and cut corners it will lead to a stressful time for the student. For
example in the encoding process a good student would reread a section until they familiarize
themselves with the new information. A bad student would just go over a section once and just keep
on going on to new information even though they have not familiarized themselves with the new

Rights Fees in Sport Essay
The steadfast rule when it comes to sports and rights fees is that it s the business of entertainment. The
dollars are going to go where the value is. With Rights fees, networks pay fees to have the rights to a
particular broadcast, for example march madness, the NFL or the Olympics. Rights fees are
determined by the value a certain property holds, this is determined by the ratings. The most important
ratings market world wide is undisputedly the North American, and in particular the US market as we
will later discuss with the Olympic media coverage. With in the US it is a battle field to increase
ratings because of the dollar value associated with the opportunity to sell advertising and consequently
the rights fees. Personally I ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
But as aformentioned the rating speak volumes and while the NBA is very popular in the US, from a
network point of view March Madness, NCAA basketball is a winner. CBS is paying $6.2 billion
dollars over a 12 year period to ensure their TV rights. As this is one of basketball s major properties
and wanted by advertisers who are trying to target a very specific demographic. However, there is a
problem with increasing rights fees being paid by networks, funds are not bottomless. At a certain
point the sports industry will plateau and as we are seeing financial resources are being pulled from
sports with lower rating to finance the network s bid for the highly rated events like the Superbowl.
This is also known as a zero sum industry, where one event/league will benefit while another suffers.
The NFL is currently taking in about $550 million/year from 4 different networks respectively. The
price tag is not that high because of the extensive amount of game air time, but because of the
perceived value. Networks are teaming up with their own programming to compliment the short NFL
season to bring in more ad spots and rightly so. The NFL as a league also knows the value of their
product and realizes that networks are still willing to pay these incredible rights fees. After all the
networks are already paying twice as much as their last contracts. However, who suffers in the zero
sum game? The worst case or ratings influencing the general public

will also exploring marketing perspective to attract an audience, credibility, biasness, uncovering
racial or gender stereotypes, and fabrication. Next my research will show if there was any extra
research needed to understand what the news report was covering. Lastly sharing options or

The Today Show is a more personable than CNN. The Today show talks about the top story grabs
people from the audience and does makeovers and give away. The Today show also has celebrity
movie stars and musicians on their show every day. The shows also give out great advice for everyday
people like how to cook, or the best clothes and beauty products on the market. The Today Show is
more entertainment news then CNN s hardcore news. The news stories on Today and CNN seemed to
be from appropriate and credible sources. When CNN was giving the report online a stream of video
accompanied the journalist. Their also showed maps and statistics support what they were reporting.
They also had interview with credible (you would like) people like senator and campaign associates.
CNN is known for being a credible network; however I feel the need to still research anything I am
interested in or that just stir up any emotions with in myself. The Today show hand multiple interview
of people that their stories where about. Though the Today show is more entertainment with musicians
and movie stares, each of this celebrates where interviews on their on topics that was shown on

Chapter five of Crispin Sartwell’s ‘Six Names of Beauty’...
Chapter five of Crispin Sartwell s Six Names of Beauty discuss the Japanese aesthetic of Wabi sabi.
Sartwell begins the chapter by describing a harmonica that he started playing at the age of fourteen.
During the recount, which included a detailed description of an old CD, Sartwell shows an evident
appreciation for the aged item and it s imperfection. The damage on its surface its crackles and skips
traces my intense relation to it, and gives it a kind of old time sounding authenticity. His description of
an old blues CD and the evident appreciation for the crackles and skips , is essentially wabi sabi. But
before explaining one of the most important aesthetic principle in Japanese aesthetics, Sartwell

An appreciation of wabi is an affirmation of the world and a certain sort of refusal of its
transformation for declaration. As an aesthetic, it s a a way of seeing imperfection as itself embodying
beauty.
Sabi, meaning loneliness , refers to the solitude as both a state of aloneness in persons and a s a
spareness of objects. It can also be considered as a subjective state that is appropriate to the experience
of wabiL a kind of desolation or meditative depression that can be sweet. Sabi is a quality of stillness

Wabi sabi is an aesthetic of poverty and loneliness, imperfection and austerity, affirmation and
melancholy. It is the beauty of the withered, weathered, tarnished, scarred, intimate, coarse, earthly,
evanescent, tentative, ephemeral. It is a broken earthenware in contrast to a Ming vase, a branch of
autumn leaves to a dozen roses, a lined and bent old woman in contrast to a model, a mature love as
opposed to an infatuation, a bare wall with peeling paint in contrast to a wall hung with beautiful
paintings. It is also a trap. Wabi sabi is an ever intensifying consciousness of the need to a lapse of
consciousness, an ever broadening elation of the ordinary in which the ordinary loses its ordinariness.
It is a form of beauty that overcomes the differences of beauty and ugliness, even as it overcomes the
differences of ordinary and extraordinary. The

Control systems have to be very robust so as to make sure there are no gaps which can be
operated by any person.
An additional trouble could arise in case of incorrect data entry. Data entry job is customarily

Sigmund Freud And The Human Psyche
Sigmund Freud was an Austrian neurologist who studied in various subjects such as philosophy and
physiology (Freud 1992). Freud was the founder of psychoanalysis with his methods still being used
in the field of psychology, which highlights the pathological processes in mental life. The most
important aspect of Freud s ideas was the human psyche (personality) has more that has more than one
aspect. Freud (1923) separated the psyche into 3 sections known as the Id, Ego and superego whereby
they develop during different stages of our lives. Accordingly to Freud s model, the id is the
instinctual and primitive part of the mind that contains sexual and aggressive drives which contains

Garcia (1995) describes that it is through psychosexual activity where a human being establishes
important interpersonal connections and an infant is contended with libidinal tensions (sexual drives
of life components). Oral is the first stage of Freud s psychosexual theory which of 0 1 year of the
infant and engages in how the mouth is the pleasure centre for development. Freud believed that
children were born with a sucking reflex and therefore desired their mother s breast which gives
psychological benefits as the child is being nourished on nutrients. This then indicates how Freud s
theory influences health and social needs during the first stages of child development. Moreover, it is
suggested that Natalie s mother may not have breast fed her child as Garcia (1995) further explains a
child may develop negative habits if the oral needs are not met during infancy and could affect the
next stages of a child s development. The second stage anal develops during 1 3 years of age where
children learn thee control their bodily functions manifested in toilet training. Garcia (1995) discusses
that improper resolution at this stage whereby the parents are toilet training their child too early, may
possibly result in a child who is uptight and overly obsessed with order; meaning that if unpathetic and
frustrated parents/guardians deal with the infant harshly, exposure, shame and negative feelings of
invasion maybe become associated with a natural body function.

The Immigration Of The United States Essay
Immigration in the United States has had a contentious history since this country s first settlers, with
overtly exclusive and xenophobic policies being de rigueur throughout colonialism until the mid 20th
century, and arguably today. Anti immigrant sentiment has reigned with each historical immigration
wave, intensifying as the demographics shifted from Northern and Western Europeans during
Colonialism to more unassimilable races like Southern and Eastern European, Asian, African and
Middle Eastern ( History of Oppression: Lesson 4 Cultural Imperialism , 2016). Policy is inescapably
shaped by public sentiment, and the American white majority believed in the objective supremacy of
the Nordic race to exercise political, economic and social control over inferior races (Grant, 1916).
This is in stark conflict with the Constitutional values that America is built on, and to whom many
have gestured to in the same breath as their anti immigrant vitriol. It is in this contrast that one must
look at the social constructions of immigrants, race and who is worthy of citizenship, and how our
country has historically sought to deny and restrict those considered a threat to the American way of
life (Jimenez, Pasztor, Chambers, Fujii, 2015, p. **). There have been several mass immigration
waves since this country s founding; British were the primary settlers in the 17th and 18th centuries,
along with hundreds of thousands of slaves from Africa; the mid 19th century were mostly

because Pontius Pilate believed they could be intentionally hiding something and they did want him to

I Know The Lord Has Made This Possible For Me
Thank you for this great opportunity to volunteer at Teen Challenge. I know the Lord has made this
possible for me. Speaking of libraries, I have identified some factors that in my opinion can greatly
enhance the use of the library by students and staff members. If I understand you correctly, your desire
is for the library to be frequently visited by the students and staff of Teen Challenge.
The challenge, in this case, is to establish a library that serves the needs of students and staff member
of Teen Challenge. Teen Challenge is a very strong organization by God s grace with very high
Christian, ethical and moral standards. Additionally, it has a space available that can be turned into a
more than adequate reading and studying space.
However, there are some factors that are by nature opposing the achievement of the goal of
sustainability and frequent use of students and staff. Because of this, it is highly recommended that
steps be considered in order to assure success for the present and the future of this very important
project.
Firstly, the designation of a librarian is vital for continuing the duties of managing collections (books,
periodical, articles, newspapers, magazines, DVD, CD, etc.), program development; obtaining,
analyzing and reporting the feedback from patrons. A successful library is one who is able to
determine the needs of its patrons and satisfy those needs and wants by structuring operations
accordingly.
Secondly, a library is no longer a

The Responsibility Of The Manhattan Project During World...

between the two opposite military alliances: the Allies and the Axis. Many new weapons were
manufactured during this war era. Two of these weapons happen to be Little Boy and Fat Man. These
two weapons are nuclear atomic bombs, and they also ended World War II. The Manhattan Project
was responsible in manufacturing these weapons. Therefore, the United States (U.S.) benefited from
the Manhattan Project by using its weapons against Japan and dropping two nuclear bombs on Japan s

The Current Public Education System
Better Schooling
The current public education system claims to have the student s best interest as a top priority, but in
reality, it is actually harming the students. Almost all are short changed the way education is set up
now. Boys and girls learn in different ways. They are not different merely because of how they are
treated in society, but because of how their brains function. However, when teachers try to teach
different genders at the same time, the majority of the time, it just will not work. Badly needed are
teachers that understand the differences between, and how to teach, boys and girls. Coed schools hurt
more than they help, not allowing children to reach their potential. Single sex schooling is more
beneficial to the student s learning.
Many claim that by separating young girls and boys, gender stereotypes are being enforced. In 2013,
UCLA put together findings of pros and cons to single sex education. Among the downsides, a
common fear was that this undermines gender equality. The thought is, because girls and boys are in
different schools, this means one can t do what the other can. Generally, this means girls can t be as
competitive, or independent, and boys can t be as caring, or artistic. These stereotypes are in the
current society, men holding higher paying jobs, and women being mothers or teachers, the more
nurturing jobs. But, today s men and women who fall into this common stereotype have grown up to
become how they are through coeducation. A new

The Complete Maus By Art Spiegelman
The Holocaust was a genocide led by Adolf Hitler in the 1930 s and 40 s that took the lives of between
six and eleven million people. The graphic novel, The Complete Maus, written by Art Spiegelman,
follows a father and son discussing and inscribing the story of the father s struggle through the
Holocaust. Vladek Spiegelman uses his skills and wit to avoid the same fate as roughly six million
other Jews. His son, Artie, is having his father recount his story so he can write it down and preserve it
as a piece of history. He uses the format of the graphic novel to provoke emotion and truly display
what life was like for Jews during this time. Spiegelman uses icons, bleeds, and elements of
scrapbooking throughout the text, seen in the men hanging imagery on page 85. These techniques, in
one moment of interdependence, signify events to come, the looming presence of the Nazis, and the
long struggle for Vladek ahead.
The men hanging for selling items on the black market is an important moment textually and visually
that signifies Vladek s realization that the Nazi s would not tolerate people disobeying their rules and
that there would be deadly consequences. The text in this scene describes that four men have been
taken for dealing without coupons and in the same frame Vladek s present time words say, I did much

To find reality behind Flamencos post card image you could look towards Granada. Here you would

Gypsies lived in caves cut out of the soft hillside of Sacromonte. There are two types of gypsies.

There are two types of turntables. There are belt drive turntable and a direct drive turntable. Belt
driven decks work by a big rubber band linking round a motor, then round the underside of the deck
plate. The motor makes the band rotate, which in turn makes the plate turn. On direct drive decks,
however, the motor is placed in the center of the deck, which turns the center spindle of the deck

In The Monkey s Paw written by W.W. Jacobs and The Red Room written by H.G. Wells, there are
many similarities and differences in the ways the stories are written and suspense created. For
example, both stories belong to the horror genre where the supernatural appears due to human
interferences, and both have a fast and frantic climax where the characters lives are put in jeopardy.
However they do differ in places, one of the key differences being that The Monkey s Paw is written
in third person whereas The Red Room is a narrative.
W.W Jacobs uses many different techniques in The Monkey s Paw to build up an atmosphere of
suspense and uneasiness. One way this is done is by Jacob s description of the White family s
location, a bleak, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Jacobs uses his characters even further to build up suspense by describing their physical reaction as
well as their dialogue. Mr White s brow cold with sweat shows us how his fear has lead him to the
point of sweating proving that he is afraid of the wish he just made. This also convinces the reader that
the paw holds forces not to be reckoned with and that if Herbert did come back it would be a horrific
rather than cheerful moment. Also Mr White caught his breath when ordered to find the paw, showing
that he was scared and dreaded the moment when he would have to wish for his son back as he knew
it would lead to doom. This realisation of the potential hazards they would face if Herbert were
brought back creates fear and suspense. The description of the character s physical actions is very
useful, as it depicts the emotions and thoughts of a character to an extent that dialogue cannot.
The contrast of light and darkness within the story is used alongside the characters to create suspense.
At the beginning of the story, it was dark, which gave the reader an ominous impression. For example
Mr White was going down the stairs to make a wish to bring Herbert back while it was so dark, he had
to feel his way around. The darkness generates fear, as it is hard to be sure what is lurking around the
corner, and what you might bump in to. Jacobs then contrasts this with the light of the next morning,
which provides a break from the suspense. However it

  • 2. How Reganomics Destroyed Middle Class America How Reaganomics Destroyed the Middle Class Reaganomics are the economic policies that were set and promoted in 1980s by the U.S. President Ronald Reagan. These policies are mainly connected to trickle down economics. There are four pillars that are associated with the economic policy of Reagan and they include: reduce government economic regulation, reduce growth of how much the government spends, reduce the marginal tax rates such as capital gains tax and income tax and lastly reduce the level of inflation by controlling money supply growth. These four policies were expected to increase investment and savings, balance the U.S. budget, reduce inflation, increase the economic growth rate, restore healthy financial markets and reduce ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The government decided to fund government organizations such as Environmental Protection Agency instead of funding the social security (Barone 120). This means that the department was left without funds hence there was no money that could be used to pay those who were working in the social security majority of which were middle class people. This shows how the middle class people were destroyed as a result of Reaganomics which forced the middle class people to pay more taxes. In the end of his two terms as the president of the U.S., 5% of the population which comprise of the rich had received double wealth and economic share of ownership while 95% of the population which comprise of the middle class people and the poor had no progress when it comes to immersion of wealth instead they had lost more of their wealth due to inflation and high tax rates (Barone 120). Nevertheless, the social security meant to benefit the rich poor since they were the ones who owned property. The middle class people did not obtain any form of social security thus were forced to protect their own wealth. Unregulated economy: the main reason why Reaganomics policy was implemented was to stimulate economic growth. In the beginning, the policy managed to stimulate economic growth but this was as a result of increased spending among the middle class people and not as a result of tax cuts. ... Another way terminal services reduces cost of ownership is because it supports the use of thin clients or older hardware to be used as terminal clients, which to run the same applications in a non terminal services environment would have required the older hardwares to be upgraded as they are not capable of running new windows applications. Other benefits of terminal services include: It improves performance for users connecting from a remote location with bandwidth constraint A more consistent experience can be provided to mobile users Its centralized management allows for a highly controlled environment With regards to LPHP, implementing terminal services in the network will allow a more cost effective licensing policy, easy, efficient deployment and stress free updating process of all the ... Imagine that you have just earned your business degree and have been hired as a hospital administrator at a small hospital that, like many others, is experiencing ïŹnancial problems. Having studied finance, you know that efficient cash management is important to all firms in all industries to meet the day by day operations of the firm. I will implement the JIT system, in an expedient but manageable timeframe, one that will satisfy the requirements with the least amount of resistance. Given my familiarity with the JIT System, I am confident that it is the best solution for our current dilemma. My decision was based primarily on its proven track record of success, origin, history of use and versatility within many different industries. My decision however, has drawn some unfavorable objections from some of the Physicians in the Oncology Department. They have communicated their objections, stating that this new process will ultimately result in the neglect of those patients receiving cancer treatment. Currently, their argument does not provide any specific data to support the claim. As long as the hospital is compliant with both State and Federal regulations, there should be no cause for concern. What could result from your decision? My decision could be met with continued opposition from the Physicians. Lead to a division between upper management and medical staff. Lower the overall morale in the Oncology Department. Negative or unwanted media attention. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 8. The Pros And Cons Of The California Water Project 6.The California Water Project takes water from northern California to the south through various means. The two sides have disagreements on how the water should be used. Northern Californians argue that if they sent more water to the south, they would waste it, resulting in the Sacramento River being degraded. However, southern Californians still want more water, because they feel that their growing populations and agricultural needs require the water. The Aral Sea was the world s fourth largest freshwater lake in 1960. Since then, there has been a water transfer project using mainly a canal that sends water to numerous locations across Asia. It is now almost dry because of our use. Some ways it has been effected include: it s lost 72 feet of height, 89% of its volume, and has been split in half. Also, its salinity increased sevenfold while toxicity increased (resulting in contaminated drinking water and health issues). • 9. The Comic Stumptown By Greg Rucka And Matthew Southworth... The comic Stumptown by Greg Rucka and Matthew Southworth and the retro audio podcast Nick Carter: Master Detective starring Lon Clack portray the different roles of women in detective fiction. Nick Carter was on the radio from 1943 to 1955, and represents more traditional roles for gender. Over the 125 episodes, the radio show followed detective Nick Carter and his female assistant, Patsy on different crime scene investigations. Carter was also able to solve seemingly impossible crimes by looking at unique angles. Stumptown was published in 2011. It represents a more modern view on gender roles in detecting. In this comic, Dex Parios, a private investigator, is hired to find someone s granddaughter. She encounters many difficulties while investigating and attempting to find the missing girl. In the end, the plot ends up being a lot more complicated than initially presented. In this essay, I am going to look at how the role of gender in detective fiction has evolved over time. Although Nick Carter had both books and a movie about him, the most well known installment of his story was the radio show. Nick Carter: Master Detective was produced in the 1940s and 50s, which means it reflects a traditional view of gender roles in detecting, as well as in the world, that was common of this time period. The patriarchal society dictates that men are the providers for the family and have the jobs and do the hard work. Women are to stay in the home and not do any heavy duty labor or ... • 10. Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery Rule induction is one of the major forms of data mining and is perhaps the most common form of knowledge discovery in unsupervised learning systems. It is also perhaps the form of data mining that most closely resembles the process that most people think about when they think about data mining, namely mining for gold through a vast database. The gold in this case would be a rule that is interesting that tells you something about your database that you didn t already know and probably weren t able to explicitly articulate (aside from saying show me things that are interesting ). The bane of rule induction systems is also its strength that it retrieves all possible interesting patterns in the database. This is strength in the sense that it leaves no stone unturned but it can also be viewed as a weakness because the user can easily become overwhelmed with such a large number of rules that it is difficult to look through all of them. You almost need a second pass of data mining to go through the list of interesting rules that have been generated by the rule induction system in the first place in order to find the most valuable gold nugget amongst them all. This overabundance of patterns can also be problematic for the simple task of prediction because all possible patterns are culled from the database there may be conflicting predictions made by equally interesting rules. Automating the process of culling the most interesting rules and of combing the recommendations ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 11. Iago Manipulation In Othello Act III Scene III is one of the most important and influential scenes in this play; as it s the scene where Iago is shown to successfully manipulate Othello into believing that Desdemona has not been faithful to him. This is very significant to the rest of the play as it affects everything Othello, the protagonist, thinks, feels and says from this point onwards. While beginning as a noble general, he develops into just the opposite, swearing revenge on his wife. Act III Scene III is also the longest scene in the play, which reflects its importance because so much develops and evolves throughout. During this act we begin to see the importance of manipulation as a central theme, with the plot really starting to advance as Iago plants his seeds of suspicion in Othello s mind and starts to water them. This develops the play significantly as we see Iago put into action the plans he spoke of earlier through soliloquies and asides. In Act III Scene III, just as Cassio scurries out of the room, Iago says, Ha! I like not that. (line 33) This is said to arise suspicion in Othello s mind as it makes Cassio seem guilty of sleeping with Desdemona. Once this has been said, Iago leaves Othello to ponder the various diabolical meanings provided within this short statement, which makes him agitated and irritable. Although on line 93, Othello tells Iago, No, Iago, I ll see before I doubt, when I doubt, prove, And on the proof there is no more but this: Away at once with love or jealousy! ... Analysis Of Consent, Sex, And Moral Behavior Sufficiently Less Than Enough: Consent, Sex, and Moral Behaviour Consent is uniquely argued position within philosophical analysis of moral and immoral behaviours, especially in regards to positions refuting consents ability to be sufficient enough to legitimize moral behaviour. We must remain critical in our analysis of consent, and ways that it may, or may not legitimize moral behaviours. At first glance, one might assume that; the consent of two people is enough to constitute moral behaviour. Upon further investigation, we become aware of another s ability to consciously consent and engage in acts that will degrade and cause some form of harm to the other, usually for their own mental or physical pleasure, inducing the fact that ... To assume that consent procures this universal narrative, would be a gross underestimation of the subjective nature of human desires and ways that desires illicit immoral behaviours at the expense of others. In this paper I will argue that consent is certainly a necessary component of legitimate moral behaviour, however, consent alone is not sufficient because it fails to embody the complex and sometimes dark nature of human desires that may subject individuals to dehumanizing desires benign to their happiness or well being. However, the counter argument fails to imply Seiriol Morgan s Dark Desires produces an excellent account for arguing consent as necessary, but not sufficient in validating sexual morality. Morgan draws on arguments previously presented by German philosopher, Immanuel Kant. Morgan describes the concept self conceit as a self deceptive attitude responsible for driving human competition and envy of others, often leading to the use of others as instruments to our ends, supporting notions of superiority over others. He concludes that self conceit is an unsociable motive that can be used to empower and individual through the domination of another through consensual sex (Morgan, 2001). According to Grison, Heatherton, and Gazzaniga(2015), memory is the capacity to acquire and retain information and skills. I will be looking into how student can use memory concepts that will improve student s grades if they follow it correctly. And also talk about my personal study habits and how I can improve them so I can get a more positive result in my classes. There are three phases of memory; which are encoding, storage, and retrieval. According to Calvillo (2014); encoding is the processing of information so that it can be stored, storage is the retention of encoded representations over time, and lastly retrieval is the act of recalling or remembering stored information when it is needed. When students use these three phases in school properly it will lead to success in their academic career but if they just do minimal preparation and cut corners it will lead to a stressful time for the student. The Immigration Of The United States Essay Immigration in the United States has had a contentious history since this country s first settlers, with overtly exclusive and xenophobic policies being de rigueur throughout colonialism until the mid 20th century, and arguably today. • 35. The Current Public Education System Better Schooling The current public education system claims to have the student s best interest as a top priority, but in reality, it is actually harming the students. Almost all are short changed the way education is set up now. Boys and girls learn in different ways. They are not different merely because of how they are treated in society, but because of how their brains function. However, when teachers try to teach different genders at the same time, the majority of the time, it just will not work. Badly needed are teachers that understand the differences between, and how to teach, boys and girls. Coed schools hurt more than they help, not allowing children to reach their potential. Single sex schooling is more beneficial to the student s learning. Many claim that by separating young girls and boys, gender stereotypes are being enforced. In 2013, UCLA put together findings of pros and cons to single sex education. Among the downsides, a common fear was that this undermines gender equality. The thought is, because girls and boys are in different schools, this means one can t do what the other can. Generally, this means girls can t be as competitive, or independent, and boys can t be as caring, or artistic. These stereotypes are in the current society, men holding higher paying jobs, and women being mothers or teachers, the more nurturing jobs. But, today s men and women who fall into this common stereotype have grown up to become how they are through coeducation. A new ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 38. The Complete Maus By Art Spiegelman The Holocaust was a genocide led by Adolf Hitler in the 1930 s and 40 s that took the lives of between six and eleven million people. The graphic novel, The Complete Maus, written by Art Spiegelman, follows a father and son discussing and inscribing the story of the father s struggle through the Holocaust. Vladek Spiegelman uses his skills and wit to avoid the same fate as roughly six million other Jews. His son, Artie, is having his father recount his story so he can write it down and preserve it as a piece of history. He uses the format of the graphic novel to provoke emotion and truly display what life was like for Jews during this time. Spiegelman uses icons, bleeds, and elements of scrapbooking throughout the text, seen in the men hanging imagery on page 85. These techniques, in one moment of interdependence, signify events to come, the looming presence of the Nazis, and the long struggle for Vladek ahead. The men hanging for selling items on the black market is an important moment textually and visually that signifies Vladek s realization that the Nazi s would not tolerate people disobeying their rules and that there would be deadly consequences. The text in this scene describes that four men have been taken for dealing without coupons and in the same frame Vladek s present time words say, I did much business with Cohn! (Spiegelman 85). The middle panel, the visual representation of the four men hanging bleeding into the page, creates a feeling for the reader that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

DJ s would definitely have to vinyl or records ( DJ Equipment ). There are two types of turntables. There are belt drive turntable and a direct drive turntable. Belt driven decks work by a big rubber band linking round a motor, then round the underside of the deck plate. The motor makes the band rotate, which in turn makes the plate turn. On direct drive decks, however, the motor is placed in the center of the deck, which turns the center spindle of the deck directly instead of a rubber band linking the motor. Right now the best turntable on the market is the Technics SL 1200 Direct Drive Turntable. The SL 1200 Turntable has a pitch lock button. The pitch lock button has the ability to change the tempo of a song without changing the pitch. This lets drastically speed up songs with vocals without a chipmunk effect. The SL 1200 also has quartz pitch blend control. The pitch blend control is the effect of the temporary changing of pitch to get beats in phase. Club DJs typically use their fingers to speed up or slow down the record by pushing/pulling the record by the label. Some twist the spindle in the center to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 42. How is suspense created and maintained in The Monkey s Paw... In The Monkey s Paw written by W.W. Jacobs and The Red Room written by H.G. Wells, there are many similarities and differences in the ways the stories are written and suspense created. For example, both stories belong to the horror genre where the supernatural appears due to human interferences, and both have a fast and frantic climax where the characters lives are put in jeopardy. However they do differ in places, one of the key differences being that The Monkey s Paw is written in third person whereas The Red Room is a narrative. W.W Jacobs uses many different techniques in The Monkey s Paw to build up an atmosphere of suspense and uneasiness. One way this is done is by Jacob s description of the White family s location, a bleak, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Jacobs uses his characters even further to build up suspense by describing their physical reaction as well as their dialogue. Mr White s brow cold with sweat shows us how his fear has lead him to the point of sweating proving that he is afraid of the wish he just made. This also convinces the reader that the paw holds forces not to be reckoned with and that if Herbert did come back it would be a horrific rather than cheerful moment. Also Mr White caught his breath when ordered to find the paw, showing that he was scared and dreaded the moment when he would have to wish for his son back as he knew it would lead to doom. This realisation of the potential hazards they would face if Herbert were brought back creates fear and suspense. The description of the character s physical actions is very useful, as it depicts the emotions and thoughts of a character to an extent that dialogue cannot. The contrast of light and darkness within the story is used alongside the characters to create suspense. At the beginning of the story, it was dark, which gave the reader an ominous impression. For example Mr White was going down the stairs to make a wish to bring Herbert back while it was so dark, he had to feel his way around. The darkness generates fear, as it is hard to be sure what is lurking around the corner, and what you might bump in to. Jacobs then contrasts this with the light of the next morning, which provides a break from the suspense. However it ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
