poetry slam between my regular visits to the hospital, school, and other commitments.
Nevertheless, I still found myself before the coffee shop entrance. The aroma and warmth from
the inside were compelling, but I still hesitated. I had on a sweater and a jacket, but they were
not quite enough. I shivered as I nervously entered to shop, my poem clinched in the numbness
